Mojo Monday 493

I hope that you all had a happy Easter! I had a nice day with my family, got to play with Daniel and Tristan and spend some time with Taylor too! The weather was lovely except for a little shower. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing, watching a little TV. Back to the Store today to get some more projects finished! 😀

The start of a new week always means a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I ran a strip of American Crafts Plum Glitter Tape down the left side. Next I stamped some images from the Concord & 9th Flourish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice, Ballet Slippers, Lobster, Fresh Lavender, Grape Soda, Sugarplum and Freshly Cut Grass. To continue on with my love of fussy cutting I used my Scissors to cut out the images. My panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb backed with a piece of Purple Hearts. I stamped the greeting from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set In Sugarplum and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images are adhered with 3D Foam Squares. I love the white space and simplicity of the card and the Flourish Set is still a favorite! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done with the sketch and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for starting another week off here with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 239

Hello my peeps! It was a super day here yesterday! I had the top down in the car on the way to the Store and on the way home! It just makes the day so much more bearable! Speaking of the Store, I did get my paperwork sorted out and worked on some projects. After work I came home and met Jim. He brought stuff to make for dinner, chicken, stuffing, mixed veg, it was quite tasty. He’s good too, he always shares with Winston! We worked on our crafty project and then watched a little TV. Today I have a ton of stuff to get finished up, but I do so love what I do! 😀

Let’s see, Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I have been really into simple cards lately and believe it or not this one was pretty simple to make! I started with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and ran it though my Big Shot with the Concord & 9th Say Hello Die and cut out the negative from the front panel. To the back of the front panel I adhered some Acetate. The thin hello is cut from Gold Glitter Card Stock along with a few hearts using one of the dies from the Concord & 9th Lucky Dies. I adhered the thin hello to the negative space hello with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the solid and outline hearts with Multi-Matte Medium. All that was left to do was to adhere a piece of Solar White 80lb to the inside so that when you write on the card you can’t see it! I do love the simple gold and white and the see through hello! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! As always, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and see what I’ve been up to! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 492

I know I say it all the time but the weekend goes too fast! It was a gorgeous day here. I had a nice time in Manhattan in the morning and ran to get the train, literally! Boy am I out of shape! LOL! Jim picked me up at the station and we came back to my house, saw my Parents for a bit and then jumped in my car, put the top down and went for a nice long ride along the north shore. It’s so pretty up there and the houses are so nice. We stopped at IKEA on the way back and had some Swedish meatballs for dinner and did a little shopping. When we got back to my house I helped him with some iPhone stuff. The rest of the evening was spent catching up with some other friends! So nice to speak to my peeps! 😀

Ahh.. Monday, it’s not such a bad day when you have a new Mojo Monday sketch to start your day…

My card starts off with the usual base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Kraft that I stamped with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp and some Doe Ink. Next up is a piece of of Chinese Red with the hearts from the Concord & 9th Love Always Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered that to the background and then a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape across it. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Cranberry onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins finish it off! You know that Barnwood Background Stamp is my fave and I love the falling hearts too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Bamboo Birthday

Hello all and a happy Saturday to you! It was a little chilly here yesterday and somewhat dreary. We had a busy day at the Store, got to meet some new customers and I got to help a very nice lady with some thank you cards. I had to stop at the Post Office on the way home to drop off an order and I had a little dinner with my Parents when I got home. The rest of the evening was spent just relaxing and watching some TV. Today there is a crop at the Store, I will get to see the ladies! 😀

I have a card that was inspired by a one that Yana made the other day to share with you. I started by stamping the flowers from the Altenew Bamboo Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Solar White 80lb and then colored them in with my Prismacolor Pencils. I don’t have the dies for them so I used my trusty Scissors to cut them out. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Kraft Card Stock and some of the berries from the Bamboo Rose set, colored them in with pencils and then tied a piece of May Arts Twine around the top. The panel is then adhered to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All that was left to do was to adhere the flowers with 3D Foam Squares. I have always loved the way Kraft looks on a card, I think that it makes the flowers really pop! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for your visit today and wish you a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 238

Another rainy day. It was so foggy too in the morning when I headed over to the Store, again, because of our close proximity to the water I guess. Renee and I had a quiet project filled day. I had to get two cards made and work on some other things. I left the Store around 4:00 to come home and meet Jim. We worked on more of the crafty project and had some Chinese for dinner. Always a nice way to end the day with a good friend! Today, I have to get ready for tomorrow’s Wedding card and gift box class. That should be fun! 😀

Without further ado here is this week’s Sketch for the Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by cutting a piece of the Echo Park Summer Party Blazing Floral 12×12 Paper and adhering it to a piece of Fun Foam and tying a piece of May Arts Natural Twine around the top. Then I used E-Z Runner Ultra Strong to adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I heat embossed the hello from the Concord & 9th Say Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tropical Sea and adhered it to the patterned paper. My Birthday is heat embossed with more White onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I flagged the bottom, adhered a strip of Candied Yam to the top and then used a little more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered it under the twine. A nice simple Birthday card! I love that hello stamp, it has a little bit of a stitched look to it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! I’ll be back at 11:00AM with a second post for you today! Be sure and come back! Mojo Monday 491

Another weekend gone too soon! I had a very busy and really fun one so no complaints. Yesterday I had a quick trip into Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary. I left them around 12:20 and ran down to The Ink Pad to drop off some things for Anna and then headed back to Penn to get the train home. I was home by 2:10 and then ran over to Heather’s to see the new paint in the living room, very nice. We did a few errands and then hung out at my house for a bit. Daniel was at my Parent’s so we played with him for a while. I took Heather home and then Taylor came by for a visit. The evening needed with a little TV. Today it’s back to the Store and some crafty fun! 😀

We are starting the week off as we always do with a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used a piece of Merman. The two panels are Lawn Fawn Blue Raspberry Perfectly Plaid and Birthday Candles Watercolor Wishes 12×12. I adhered the Watercolor piece with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting and the waves from the Lawn Fawn Float My Boat Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman Ink onto a strip of Solar White 80lb and cut the left on an angle. It’s adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My boat and seagulls are from the same set. The boat is stamped in Peacock and the seagulls in Hippo. More 3D Foam Squares adhere them to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Share Kindness Mix add a little sparkle! Love that little boat and the seagulls, just fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! We hope that you will share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery after you check out the rest of the Team’s cards that they have made to inspire you over on the BLOG! Fab Friday 109

Oh yes, it’s Friday and an actual one for me! I did have a nice day at the Store, my Parents stopped by in the morning and some peeps came in to pick up their orders. My Parents were out at my Brother’s watching the kiddies so I had to fend for myself for dinner, pancakes it was! LOL! We had Thirsty Thursday at my house and Heather and Brian came by. We had a good laugh and it was nice to catch up with Brian, he has been so busy lately we don’t get to see him. I spoke to Jim on the phone for a while, he’s getting ready for his company this weekend. Today I have a haircut in the morning and then another fun filled day at the Store! 😀

What makes today an even better Friday, why it’s time for another Fab Friday sketch…

I played with some more new Concord & 9th goodies! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp in Ballet Slippers and adhered the panel to the card base. I added a piece of Ice Gold Curios Metallic with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner along with a strip of Gold Glitter Card to the background. The flower and greetings are from the Concord & 9th Lily Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Lily in Black Licorice using my MISTI so I could get a nice bold impression by double stamping it. The center is more Ballet Slippers and the flower is cut out with Scissors. My thinking of is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black and that is adhered to the panel. I stamped the you in more Black Licorice and also used my scissors to cut it out. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the Lily and you to the card and it’s done! No one likes to make a sympathy card but I think this would make a very nice one. I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! There is some more inspiration for you over on the BLOG and we hope to see your creation in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time to come and see me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 337

Hello! Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day indeed! It got up into the mid-sixties with plenty of sun! I made sure that I stepped outside quite a few times while I was at the Store! I got in a bunch of new Concord & 9th, got it all checked in and played with some of it too! After work I had dinner with my Parents and came home and cleaned a little. My friend Sue came by and so did Heather and George. A bunch of friends on a Wednesday night, who could ask for anything more?! Today Renee leaves for her little scrapbooking adventure to PA with a bunch of the ladies so I’ll be manning the Store for a few days! 😀

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

A nice layered sketch! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die to cut out a piece of Illustrated Faith 12×12 Paper. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up I heat embossed the XO from the Concord & 9th Love Notes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Vellum. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Gold onto a strip of Black with both ends flagged. I hid the adhesive behind the black strip and adhered the vellum under it. The flower is from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Ballet Slippers and Bubblegum. I used my Scissors to cut it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. It needed a little Sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink, Pink Blush and Gold Sequins. I love that flower, so nice and simple! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for visiting with me! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

Oh, it’s Monday already. The weekend really does go so fast! I did have a very nice day off! I ran a few errands in the morning and then Jim came over with lunch and we worked on his crafty project a little more. The rest of the evening was spent watching a TV and just being. It felt so nice to do not much at all. Today back in the swing of things at the Store! 😀

It’s Monday and time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. The notebook paper is a piece of Authentique 12×12 from the Twisted Collection. I adhered it to a piece of Black and then added some May Arts Ribbon around the middle. My image and greeting are from the Hero Arts Welcome Home Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored in the bunny with Prismacolor Pencils and adhered him and the greeting to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! Hello Lovely Flowers

Thankfully they were wrong about the snow again! It flurried for a little while and then turned to rain. We had a bunch of visitors at the Store today including my friend Jodi and a new customer! I worked on cards most of the day, I’m taking today off so I wanted to get ahead a little. Renee left early to go and celebrate her grandson’s Birthday, I hope that she had a good time! I had dinner with my Parents when I got home and then spent some time with Taylor before heading over to see Sue. She needed a little assistance with a new wireless router that she got. We got that all set up and all of the devices connected! On the way home I stopped at Target to pick up a few things and then relaxed for the rest of the evening. Today  have some cleaning to do, fun Sunday! LOL! 🙂

I was in the mood to color and not be very particular about it so I stamped the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with my MISTI. To color in the image I used Prismacolor Pencils, adding some French Gray around the image to give it some depth. The panel is mounted to a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added. A very simple but bright and fun card, and it’s technically one layer too! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you so much for stopping by and wish you a nice Simple Sunday! 🙂
