Paper Players 296

Yesterday may have been the perfect day weather wise! It was in the 80’s with bright sun!! I drove over to the store with top down in the car and no jacket! Renee had a class and it was fun to chat with the ladies that came in. My friend Maggie had seen that I put up on Instagram that I had the We R Memory Keepers 3D Embossing Folders and asked me to mail that to her so I got that all packaged up and sent that out. We had Subway for lunch and I stopped at Aldi to get more Sweet Cream coffee creamer. I spoke to Michael for a bit and Sue too! Angie stopped by towards the end of the day and we laughed taking about kids! I also got to drive back home with the top down! When I got home Daniel was at my parent’s and he was extra sweet and cute! We sat on the front porch and looked at the planes and played catch for a while. Boy do I love that little guy! After dinner I came home and sat down to make my card. I finally got to play with some of the new Lawn Fawn! LOVE all of it!

That card that I made last night is for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge from Laurie…

Paper Players #296

To start my card I cut out a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Paper with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts. I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and my Mini Ink Blending Tool to create the main panel for my card. I spritzed a little water on it and blotted it off with a paper towel and then hit it quickly with my Heat Tool to make sure the ink was set. I stamped some of the bubbles in Versa-Mark and covered them with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and heat set them. Next I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts to cut out the part where the window would go. I put the panel on the base of Neenah Solar White 110lb and adhered the middle circle to it. On the back of the main panel I used Scor-Tape to adhere a piece of Acetate and then cut out a piece of Fun Foam with the Stitched Circles and adhered that to back with E-Z Runner. My images are from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with my Copics. I added a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the tail of the Merman, his crown and the school of fish. All of the images are then die cut using the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You Lawn Cuts and adhered to the circle with Multi-Matte Medium. A little sprinkling of Chunky Gold Glitter and some Iridescent Flat Sequins is added and the the main panel and that is adhered the card base. My greeting is from the Big Scripty Words Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out the hello and adhered that to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally the school of fish is adhered with Foam Tape and the card is finished! I really love that ink-blended background and the super cute stamp set is great! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Your visits are always appreciated and I wish you all a terrific Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 196

Another fun day at Stamp, Ink, Paper! Renee got a new line of paper in that moved like hotcakes! My second half of my Lawn Fawn order arrived, I entered it in the system, priced it and put it out. I got in touch with the customers that wanted it and they came in throughout the day to pick it up. Renee and I bounce ideas off of each other all day and she called me after she left with a really good one!! Can’t wait to share it with you! When I got home I had dinner, mum made chili! One of my favorites! My friend Sue stopped by and we chatted for a while and I subjected her to my latest YouTube obsessions! After she left I sat down and made my card, it was going to be a quick card… ummm… not really! Does that happen to you? You set out to make a simple card and end up using half of the supplies that you have?! LOL!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS196 DT Sketch 5-25-2016

When I saw the sketch I remembered that I had a butterfly die that I had picked up a while ago on one of my trips with Sue and Michael to a craft show. About time I used it! The card base today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I splattered some Heidi Swapp Tinsel Color Shine on the front and worked on the rest of the card while that dried. A piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, again! LOL!) is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is a two piece die from Paper Artist. I cut the back out from a piece of 36lb Vellum and the top from a piece of Basic Gray. A tiny piece of Scor-Tape holds the two together and also adhered it to the Mirror Card. Another piece of Mirror Card is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Loopy Circles Craft Die and adhered to the butterfly with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners to cut it out and used a piece of Kool-Tac Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. Yes, I’m obsessed with that Mirror Card, but you have to admit it does look pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and tale a peek at the rest of the Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking a little time out of your day to visit with me! Have a happy Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 49 – Flowers!

Now that I get to spend everyday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store inside Scrap-A-Latte I can’t even say anything bad about Monday! What could make the day better? Why getting to drive there and back with the top down in the car listening to some unnecessarily loud music! Have you heard the new Justin Timberlake song Can’t Stop the Feeling? It’s the perfect happy upbeat song for nice rides in the car! Who doesn’t like a pocket full of sunshine?! I got lots accomplished at work but was bummed when I found that the second half of my Lawn Fawn order didn’t come. I discovered that it was too big to ship through the Post Office so it went UPS and that added an extra day. Guess there is a lot in that box! We had some new customers come by the store and I even got to talk tech with one of the husbands! 😀 I had a little dinner when I got home and talked with my parents and neighbor for a while before coming inside and making my card for today. This morning I’ll get the Lawn Fawn order all sorted out and make some samples! Yay!!

That card that I made last night… it’s for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Challenge 49 Flowers 800

Ahh… flowers… who doesn’t like flowers?! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. That fun gold frame is cut out from a piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, I use a lot of it!) using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts. I adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Those pretty flowers in the center are from the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Inks and the leaves in Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Inks using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and arranged on the card. Some Press ‘n Seal picked them up, keeping them exactly where I placed them, while I added Tombo Dot Runner and Foam Tape to the back. They are then placed back on the card, pressed in place and the Press ‘n Seal removed. For the greeting I stamped one of the sentiments from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set in Moon Rock and cut it out with my Scissors. A little Foam Tape adhered that to the top of the card. Finally, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for a little sparkle! I LOVE that Altenew Ink, such good coverage and really easy to clean off your stamps too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Don’t forget to pay a visit to the BLOG and see what my talented Team has come up with to inspire you! Add your card to gallery so that you can share with us! Thank you so much for coming by to see what I’ve been up to today! Have a thoroughly phenomenal Tuesday! 🙂

Heart & Feathers Be Happy

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little tired! I guess not working full time for 6 months and then going back full time plus will do that to you! LOL! It’s all good though, I’m loving being at the store and keeping everything organized! Yesterday there was a crop so the store was full! I love getting to sit there and chat with everyone! Angie and I ran an errand to the Dollar Store and then I went out and got us Wendy’s for lunch. It was a busy day and I really did have a good time! I spoke to Michael on my way home and then had Chinese for dinner with my parent’s. Taylor stopped by with Kiera and the had the cutest baby kitten with them. She is a stray and Taylor wanted me to keep her at my house but she wasn’t very fond of Winston! If they can’t find a good home I guess I’ll have to give in! Heather called around 9:45 so I ran over to her house for a glass of wine an some catch up! I’ll be back over at the store for a little while today and then I must do some laundry, almost completely out of clothes! How is your weekend?

When I did finally get home and settled I made my card for today. The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Circle Loops Craft Die to cut out two pieces of Gold Mirror Card. My feathers are cut from more Ivory 110lb with some cool postage themed Washi Tape adhered to it. I used the Simon Says Stamp Pointed Feathers Dies to cut them out. For the Heart I used Red Felt and the Simon Says Stamp Combined Hearts Dies. My greeting consists of a Black 110lb Be cut from the Simon Says Stamp Be Craft Die and the happy heat embossed onto more Black 110lb with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive except the happy which is adhered with Foam Tape. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Cobalt and Raspberry Sequins to compete the card! Oh how I have missed feathers and I do love them cut from the Washi Tape! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you for coming by! I wish you all a very happy Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 237

Happy Friday! I had a very busy day yesterday at Stamp, Ink, Paper inside Scrap-A-Latte! The Lawn Fawn flew out the door, thankfully I have a little replenishment order coming on Monday! Concord & 9th and Altenew was also popular! Thanks to everyone that came out and supported the stores! A special thank you to Dianne for being the first customer!! My parent’s came by with Daniel and he posed with some stamp sets for me! Note the chocolate around his mouth, I used M&M’s to bribe him! LOL!

Daniel C&9 SIP Store

Class was fun last night too! We discussed other classes that they might be interested in along with other brands that they would like to see in the store. Brian also finally got his new truck and boy is it nice!! I got to be the first one to see it too! We stopped by Heather’s on the way home for a little Thirsty Thursday fun and it was a full house last night! When I got home I made my card and went to type my post but GoDaddy was having issues hence the reason I’m late today. I’ll be back at the store with Renee so come on by and say hello!

My card for today is for this this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 237

I used a new Concord & 9th Set that I just love! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Black 110lb and adhered some Gold and White Stripe Washi Tape down the right side and then adhered it to the card base. The main panel is Solar White 80lb and that beautiful flower and greeting are from the Concord & 9th You Are Enough Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flower and greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black using my MISTI and then the two layers are stamped in Altenew Coral Berry and Grapevine Crisp Ink. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres the panel to the card and just a little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for a little sparkle! I do love that flower and simple greeting, so fun! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for visiting today! Have a freakin’ amazing Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 195

Another odd weather day here yesterday! I know we had little tastes of Spring but I’m ready for it to come and stay please! Brian came by and picked me up in the morning so we could go and get some things for my project and drop them off. We stopped by Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and Brian Had his little girl Savannah with us. She has the most infections little laugh! You just can’t help but smile when you hear it! Renee had fun playing with her for a little bit. On the way home we stopped and got her a Happy Meal from McDonald’s, one of the only things that she will eat! Brian dropped me back off at the house and Heather called. She asked if I wanted to get lunch and go over by her so I stopped at Subway and picked up two sandwiches. Always a good time with Heather! When I got back home Taylor was here doing her usual binge watching bad TV on Hulu! I FaceTimed with Andrea and made my card for today. She got some spiffy new glasses and they look really nice on her! After dinner Taylor and I ran out to Bed Bath and Walmart so I could pick up a few things. Today, yup you guessed it, lots more to get done!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS195 DT Sketch 5-18-2016

I like it when I can use just one stamp set to make a card and that’s what just what I did! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Blue Skies Photopolymer Stamp Set. For the strip across the bottom I heat embossed the clouds in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum and put adhesive on the part that would be hidden behind the square. That square is a piece of Marina Mist that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. The clouds, hot air balloon and banner are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. Some Silver Sequins are added with two Basic Jewels Rhinestones in the middles of the larger ones. I do love that set, the sketched look gives the images a nice soft feel to them. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the cards created by the Team and enter yours in the gallery! Mojo Monday 448

I was up nice and early yesterday morning so I could get ready to head into Manhattan to meet up with the gang from The Ink Pad at the Stationary Show! I took the 8:12 train and then walked over to the Javit’s Center from Penn, it’s not too far and I was there by 9:15. Some Starbucks was in order so I got a Venti No Foam Soy Vanilla Latte, do you know that drink is $7?!?! Umm… why have I never realized that before?! But I digress! Anna met me around 9:30 and we chatted for a bit before meeting up with Barbara and Jane. They went to the other part of the show and I wandered around the show floor for a while. So much cool stuff! There are so many creative and talented people out there it just amazing! And what did I find the most interesting?! The Heidi Swapp Lightbox Collection! It plugs in and lights up, of course I liked it! LOL! I left the show around 12:15 to meet up with Kim, her sister Angie and her daughters Tayler and Katie. We met up in Korea Town and had some Korean food for lunch, delicious! I really like Kimchi! We wandered around a bit and then they had to head up to see Aladdin so I went back to Penn and got the train home. I had a little dinner with my Parent’s and then watched Pan, what a great movie, I highly recommend it!

Here we are starting another week off right with Mojo Monday! And now for this week’s sketch…

Mojo448

I wanted a nice bright simple card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Lawn Fawn Peacock Card Stock. Next up is a piece of Guava adhered on an angle to match the sketch. The main panel is a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pad adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I die cut the Hi from more Peacock with the Lawn Fawn Finley’s ABC’s Lawn Cuts and adhered them in the upper right corner with Foam Tape. My butterfly and pencil are from the Lawn Fawn Just for You Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the butterfly onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and colored in the butterfly with Copics. It’s cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts and framed with a piece of Sunflower that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames Lawn Cuts. The pencil is also colored in with Copics, cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered with a thin sliver of Foam Tape, the circle is adhered with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop, Watermelon and Aquamarine Sequins and a some Glossy Accents added to the butterfly body and the card is done! I think that I definitely got bright and simple! Love that Lawn Fawn Card Stock, great colors and a nice weight! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a peek at the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and enter yours in the gallery! Freshly Made Sketches 236

Well, it turned out to be a nice morning here! I went to Scrap-A-Latte and met Sue for the yard sale at 8:45. We were there until around 11:00 chatting with people. Sue got some stuff, I was good and did not! I got to drive back home with the top down, that always makes me happy! When I got back home I had a little lunch and then FaceTimed with my cousins in England again! Love chatting with them and there were a bunch of them this time! After that I ran to BestBuy to pick up a new universal remote called Blumoo. It works with your iPhone and the Amazon Echo. I’ll let you know what I think of it after I have played around with it for a bit. Around 6:15 Brian stopped by to drop off a shelving unit and we chatted for a bit. Some dinner was had with the Parent’s and then it was back home to make a card and watch a little TV, for research purposes for the remote of course! LOL! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to meet up with the peeps from The Ink Pad to go to the Stationary Show at the Javit’s Center. I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s all about! After that I’m going to meet up with Kim, her sister Angie and niece Tayler who are in from Missouri. That’s going to be fun!

Today I have my card that I made for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches to share with you! Here is this week’s sketch…

Freshly Made Sketches 236

The card has a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of paper from the Recollections Color Splash 6×6 Paper Pad in the upper right corner. Across the bottom is a piece of Gold Mirror Card. My greeting and butterfly are from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the Thank You onto a piece of Black 110lb with some Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and adhered the strip to the card with Foam Tape. My butterfly is stamped in Altenew Ocean Waves and Dusk Crisp Ink and Memento Tuxedo Black. I cut it out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. A generous dose of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen is applied over some of the black on the wings and a few Pretty Pink Posh God Sequins are added for some extra sparkle! I love that butterfly and the Altenew Crisp Inks stamp so nicely! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for your visit today! Have a super Sunday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 47 – One Element Wonder!

Hey there! It was another nice day here, sunny and in the 70’s! YAY! I was at Scrap-A-Latte all day. I worked on some things and spoke to my cousins in England, Andrea and Michael. Miriam stopped by too! When I got home I had some dinner at my Parent’s. I came over to my house and started to work on my card for today. I did stop to run a few errands and then finished it when I got back. I flipped on the TV and Shooter was on so I watched the end of that. Today I need to get a lot of things finished up! A lot of stuff needs to happen in the next few days!

Well, it’s Tuesday and we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

SIP One Element Wonder 47 800

One Element Wonder! Just use one main element on your card! I used some goodies that I found at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday to create my card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the front with a piece of Black 110lb. My background piece of paper is from the Simple Stories Let’s Party 6×6 Paper Pad. I used a frame from the same collection and added some Acetate and a double layer of Foam Tape behind it . Some Sequins and Seed Beads are sprinkled on the card and the frame is adhered over it to make my shaker. All that was left to do was add some of the Enamel Dots, also from the Let’s Party Collection, and the card is finished! Talk about a super simple shaker card and I love the paper, oh, and the frame is so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! You have to go over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the super talented Design Team has come up with to inspire you and don’t forget to add your card to the gallery to share with all of us! Mojo Monday 447

What started out to be a rainy day turned into a nice sunny one! YAY! When I took the train into Manhattan it was pouring, by the time I got up to 86th Street it had stopped. I went to see my friends Jon and Mary, they are going to Paris and Europe for a few weeks! So jealous! From there I headed down to The Ink Pad to surprise Anna with a visit! Alway nice to see her! My friend Kim came and met me at the store and we went and had Chipotle for lunch. From there we walked up 6th Avenue and stopped in some stores along the way. We ended up at Gregory’s Coffee and both had cappuccinos. They had some latte art on them…

Gregory's Coffee Latte Art

Now there is something that you don’t get at Starbucks and the coffee was delicious! We said our goodbyes and I ran to get the 4:12 train, and made it! So many people on there with suitcases heading for Jamaica so they could change for the Air-Train to JFK. They never are good with their bags and you always end up getting whacked with one or two! Taylor got me from the station and dropped me off at home. I had a quick dinner with my parents and then watched Jurassic World for like the 10th time! Love that movie! Today I’ll be at Scrap-A-Latte minding the store for Renee, stop by and say hi if you are in the area!

It’s Monday and you know what that means, time for another fun Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo447

I received my Hero Arts May Kit the other day and wanted to use the neat Gift Card Die that came with it! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Black 110lb with the We R Memory Keepers Dotted Next Level 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. My two circles on the top right and bottom left are Silver Foil Sheet and are punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. I adhered them to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is a piece of Pear Pizzaz and across that peeking out just barely is a piece of Pool Party. I cut the out the gift card holder with the Die from the kit from a piece of Bermuda Bay. On a piece of Vellum I heat embossed the Thank You, also from the kit, in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder. I wrapped it around the gift card holder and adhere it to the card. A few Aqua and Sliver Sequins along with some Pretty Pink Posh Lime Sorbet, Black and Aquamarine Sequins are adhered to the card leaving the piece under the gift card empty so you can pull out the envelope. I think that makes a pretty neat way to give a gift card to someone, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of my talented Teammates have come up with to inspire you and add your creation to the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have a magnificently amazing Monday! 🙂
