So after all of that rain that we had yesterday, and I think they said that we got around 6 inches, the sun came out around noon and it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon! We got up to 68 degrees, made the rain yesterday sort of worth it. It was so nice to go outside and feel the warm sun and not have to wear a jacket! And today is Friday! What could be better than that! I don’t have anything specific planned for the weekend with the exception of some projects to make. It should be a great weekend too because I get my Catalog pre-order today, yes I overnighted it! The addiction continues! LOL!

My post for today is a big one. I have been asked to join the SplitCoast Creative Crew again! I had so much fun making the projects when I was on last year I was happy to join the talented group of 24 people this time around! I have four projects for you today, three cards and a mini album. Lets get to them!

My first card is for the DSP/Color Focus: Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Smoky Slate. We are asked to use a technique of our choosing that imitates our watercolor wonder designer papers. I love the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper so here is my take. The base of the card is Island Indigo Card Stock. I used a piece of Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight to create the mat for my piece of Watercolor Card Stock. Using the Flower Shop Stamp Set I inked the stamp in Island Indigo, Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight. I spritzed them each time with water from my Stampin’ Spritzer and stamped each one three times to create the background. I stamped them again in the same colors on some Whisper White and punched them out with the Pansy Punch. My leaves are from the Secret Garden Stamp Set and are stamped in Basic Gray and cut out with the Secret Garden Framelits. The leaves are adhered to the background with Multi-Purpose Glue and the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My greeting is from the Quite the Pair Stamp Set and is stamped in Smoky Slate and cut out with my Paper Snips. I really do love the effect that spritzing water on the stamp gives the image and the colors are nice and bright!

My next card is for the Catalog Focus: scoring tools. We are asked to use all or one of these scoring tools-Simply Scored Tool, Simply Scored Borders Plate and/or Simply Scored Diagonal Plate to add interest to a gatefold card. My card base is Daffodil Delight Card Stock cut so it’s a gatefold card. The two Whisper White panels on the front are created using the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. It gives it a lattice like look. The flowers and butterfly are from the Polka-Dot Pieces Stamp Set and are stamped in Melon Mambo, Island Indigo and Night of Navy. I used the 1 3/4″ and 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punches and the Elegant Butterfly Punch to punch them out. I created a belly band from a piece of Pear Pizzaz and adhered all of my stamped images to it with SNAIL and Stampin’ Dimensionals. My greeting is from the A Round Array Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy and punched out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. I love the lattice look behind the flowers and the colors are inspired by the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper. A fun simple card, don’t you think?!

    CCREW0514CF-JK-WM

My third card is for the Holiday Focus: National Photograph Month. We are asked to create a card that looks like a photograph by putting a border around our image and making the image glossy. You may use On Film Framelits or make your own, you may use Window Sheets for glossiness or Crystal Effects. My card starts off with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. The background is a piece of Soft Suede that I stamped in Soft Suede with the Hardwood Background Stamp. My greeting is from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set and is heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The stamped images are from the Secret Garden Stamp Set, the flowers are stamped in Elegant Eggplant and the leaves in Garden Green. I masked them off to give it a more realistic look. A piece of Whisper White is cut out with the On Film Framelits. I adhered it and a piece of Window Sheet to the Soft Sky stamped piece and the to the card. Very clever the way the Window Sheet does really make it look like a glossy photo, I’ll definitely do that again!

    CCREW0514HF-JK-WM

The final project is for the Scrapbook and More Focus: Mini Books. I used the new Project Life by Stampin’ Up! Cards, Stamps and Framelits to create my mini book. The cover and back are Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzaz that I cut out with the Project Life Cars & Labels Framelits Dies. On the cover I cut the speech bubble out with the Word Bubbles Framelits and stamped the stars from the Project Life Point & Click Photopolymer Stamp Set in Basic Black. The NYC is from the Sans & Stripes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Basic Black. All of the pages in the middle are the cards from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Cards Collection and I rounded the corners using the Project Life Corner Rounder. I used the Washi tape from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack to “hold” the photos in place and some Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon to hold the cards together. I love the way you can see the photo on the first page through the Word Bubble! A fun simple mini book using the new Project Life by Stampin’ Up! line. Pretty neat huh?!

Selfies with some of my peeps in a little pocket album, what could be better than that! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my rather lengthy post today for my projects for this month’s SplitCoast Creative Crew Design Team challenges. I had a great time making them! You can see the rest of the design teams projects by heading over to SplitCoast and searching for CreativeCrew. Thank you very much for spending a little extra time with me today, I hope that you have an awesome Friday! 🙂

  • Catherine & Cathy Create 31

First let me apologize for the email that you received about my post last night. I was trying to productive and type my post on the train on the way into Manhattan and I accidentally posted it instead of saving it as a draft. Such a dunce! LOL! This is the actual real post, so sorry again. From now on we type the posts on the phone in Evernote and not the WordPress App! Speaking of Manhattan, dinner was good and the show was excellent as always! As soon as I have some time I’ll post some of the video here. Oh and it poured non stop. By the time I did get home I could actually wring the water out of my pants. I only got to take one picture outside the venue. It was under an awning, the only dry place to be had as there was a leak in part of the ceiling in Tammany Hall too. It’s just the street but I find that you can see so much in Manhattan just looking down the street…

    Outside Tammany Hall

Nothing exciting, just some buildings and cars. I do think that the buildings in Manhattan are neat, there are no two that are exactly alike. Not the most exciting picture but a little view of what I saw last night. 🙂

Today I’m over on the Catherine & Cathy Create blog for the monthly challenge…

    CCC Challenge General Logo

I have had the Natural Composition Designer Series Paper forever and I think I have only used it once! Seeing as it’s going “Vintage” I thought I should use it now! The base of my card starts off with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of the Naturals Composition Designer Series Paper. My main panel is also Whisper White. The letters may look familiar, they are the ones that were cut out of yesterday’s card! I used some 2-Way Glue to adhere them. A piece of Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape goes across the middle and some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the base. The two large stars are from the Simply Starts Stamp Set are stamped in Bermuda Bay. I used the “Vintage” Large Star Punch to punch them out. The small gold stars are Gold Foil Sheet and that are punched out with the Merry Minis Punch Pack. For the medium star I used some Champagne Glimmer Paper and the star from the Circle Card Thinlits. My greeting is from the Hello, Lovely Stamp Set, I selectively stamped just the “Lovely” and heat embossed it in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits. Stampin’ Dimensionals hold all of the elements to the panel. I really like the bright white, blue and gold against the kraft color of the Designer Series Paper. I’m a little bummed that I didn’t use it more! You can go and see what the rest of the Design Team have come up with for the challenge by taking a little visit to the blog. Did you enjoy today’s card? Let me know what you thought by leaving a comment. Thanks for taking the time to come and see me! Have a fantastic Thursday!

  • Paper Players 193 & Pics!

Now you know I am not normally a fan of Monday but this Monday is different! I will be leaving work early and heading up to Connecticut with my friend Sandy for the Stampin’ Up! 2014-2015 Catalog Premiere! I can’t wait to see what new goodies we will get to play with come June! It’s a 2 1/2 hour ride each way but well worth it don’t you think?! Yesterday was sunny but cool here in New York. I had a lovely morning in Manhattan. Some diner breakfast with Kim and then off to see some friends for a bit. I met back up with Kim and we went to the Target in Riverside Plaza. I got home around 3:15 and did some laundry and worked on some of my projects that I needed to finish, I didn’t get all of them done but I made a dent! I have some Manhattan pictures for you too! The first one is the tunnel exit from Grand Central for the Metro North trains. I have to admit that I didn’t even know that it was there! It goes right down the middle of Park Avenue and comes out at 97th Street. I took a shot in the other direction too, I love all of the buildings and there is even a little park.

    Metro North Park Ave Tunnel

    97th & Park

The next picture was taken from the parking garage at Riverside Plaza. There really aren’t many places in Manhattan where you can’t take a pretty neat picture!

    Riverside Plaza

That’s the FDR Drive and the East River, the land across the river is Randall’s Island. I think that the clouds in the sky look pretty neat too, it’s like they parted!

Today being Monday also means that It’s time for this week’s Paper Players challenge and this week we have a sketch from sweet Anne Marie…

    Paper Players #193

I wanted to keep my card nice and simple but colorful too so I used some Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper. The base of the card is Basic Gray Card Stock and the background is a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe that I embossed with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Both of the panels use Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper, the long one is backed with Gumball Green and the other with Raspberry Ripple. My greetings are both from the Sketched Birthday Stamp Set, the cupcake is stamped in Bermuda Bay, punched out with the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and has a little Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details on it. The eat cake is stamped in Raspberry Ripple and is cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three Basic Jewel Rhinestones complete the card. I do enjoy the colors in the Birthday Basics DSP and the Sketched Birthday is a fun set! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge from Anne Marie. Hopefully I will be coherent enough when I get home tonight to remember the Catalog Launch! Thanks so much for coming by today and I hope that you all have a great Monday! 🙂

  • Fab Friday 40 & Bonus!

Sometimes a word that begins with F can be bad, but sometimes it can be good… really good, as in FRIDAY!!!! Oh how I have been looking froward to this F word all week! LOL! Work was pretty quiet yesterday, a nice change from most days, and greatly appreciated! After work I came home and worked on a few projects and watched a little TV. I have decided that giving up TV all together was a bad idea. My brain needs to rest and that seems to be the only time it does, when I sit in front of the TV. It was really windy here yesterday again. When the wind did stop for a second or two it was actually quite nice. Let’s hope that it’s done for now! I also discovered that Stampin’ Up! has Pinned my card to their April Paper Pumpkin Board! How cool is that?!?! You can see it HERE! Oh, I have a little extra project for you today too! It will be at the very end after all of the other stuff so make you scroll down to see it!

Don’t forget that today is also the last day for FREE Shipping! 🙂

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our color challenge. We have a very different color combo for you…

    Fab Fri 40 Sketch 4-25-2014

I did a few different things before I finally came up with my card. Sometimes that’s just how it goes right?! My card base is actually Crumb Cake Card Stock. My background covers the entire front of the card so you can’t really see it. Speaking of the background, it’s a piece of Early Espresso Core’dinations. Again, I just love the texture on the card stock! Next up is a piece of Summer Starfruit that I rounded the corners on and then embossed it with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The large circle is a piece of Smoky Slate that I punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. The script on it and the greeting are form the Notable Notions Stamp Set. The script is stamped in Smoky Slate and the greeting in Early Espresso on a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. The cute little bee is from the soon to be “Vintage” Stamp Set Backyard Basics. He is stamped in Early Espresso on Summer Starfruit and cut out with the matching Backyard Basics Framelits. Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere all of the pieces to the card and one another. Finally I scattered some iridescent gray sequins around to finish the card. It’s definitely not a color combo that I would have thought to put together but it’s sort of fun don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday color challenge. Take a minute to go over to the blog and see the projects that my fellow Design Team members have for you and enter your card in the gallery for us to see your interpretation. I wish you all very good Friday and thank you for stopping by! 🙂

Here is my bonus project! I’m not a scrapbooker by any means but I do like to do one every once in a while. I did an 8 x 8 page featuring my favorite group! Satellite Lane! LOL! I used the iPad App Pop-A-Graph to make the band members color and the background black and white in the photograph. I hope you enjoy it! 🙂

I had a very relaxing Easter and hope that you had a nice one too! I spent the morning making some cards, did laundry and watched some movies. I got to FaceTime with my cousin Tracey in England and then spoke to my parents who are over there too. Boy do I wish I was over there! The last time I went was 2007, it has been far too long. I had a bad dinner last night, popcorn and jellybeans, it went with the movie! LOL! Saturday night I went to dinner with a group of friends and we had a great time. We haven’t all gotten together in a while so we had a lot to catch up on. All in all a very good weekend!

Today is Monday, back to work, but it’s also time for this week’s Paper Players challenge. This week we have a CAS Washi themed challenge for the lovely Nance…

    Paper Players #192

I love the Washi tape that we have but I definitely don’t use it enough so I was happy to see this challenge. My card base is a simple piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock and I stamped the greeting from the A Dozen Thoughts right on the base in Baked Brown Sugar. The three pieces of Washi tape are from the Retro Fresh This & That Designer Washi Tape Collection. I used the Little Leaves Sizzlit to cut out some Coastal Cabana for my leaves and the flowers are form the Petite Petals Stamp Set. They are stamped in So Saffron and Tangerine Tango and punched out with the Petite Petals Punch. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them to the card and some Subtles and Brights Collection Candy Dots are in the middles. I love the colors in the Retro Fresh Collection and the Washi tape really does help to make a nice CAS card. Thank you for coming by to see my Paper Players CAS Washi challenge card for this week. Don’t forget about the Retired List and FREE Shipping Promotions! Have a great Monday! 🙂

  • Control Freaks April Blog Tour

    freakwelcome2013

It’s that time again! Welcome to this month’s Control Freaks Blog Tour! This month our theme is Masculine/Gender Neutral. If you are following the tour you have arrived here from the talented Barb Mulikin’s blog, great projects right?! This month I have two cards and one fun project inspired by a video that I saw on YouTube for a box with a little twist!

My first card is a birthday card. For the base I used a piece of Soft Suede Card Stock. My background is a piece of Sahara Sand that I heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder using the World Map Background Stamp. To color in the land and sea I used my Sponge Daubers and Island Indigo and Gumball Green Ink. Before adhering it to the card I backed it with a piece of Brushed Gold Card Stock. All of the stamped images are from the Postage Collection Host(ess) Stamp Set and are stamped in Island Indigo, Gumball Green and Soft Suede. They are punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the way the background came out with the gold heat embossing and the sponged ink. I will definitely be doing that again!

CF April Blog Tour Global B'day Close-WM

For my second card I did a simple nautical themed one. The base is Crumb Cake Card Stock. I stamped the World Map Background Stamp in Basic Black on a piece of white cotton fabric and then cut it out with the Banners Framelits Dies. It’s adhered to the card with Sticky Strip. My ship is from The Open Sea Stamp Set and is also stamped in Basic Black on Soft Sky and cut out with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits. I slipped a piece of So Saffron behind it that I flagged on both ends before adhering it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set. I really do enjoy using different things like fabric on a card, it adds so much with not much effort at all.

CF April Blog Tour Nautical B'day-WM

My final project is a fun box that has a little surprise inside. The box itself is created with a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock and my Envelope Punch Board. Like I said I watched a video on YouTube to get the dimensions. There is a piece of Natural 5/8″ Chevron Ribbon that acts as a pull for the box. The sleeve is made from a piece of Early Espresso Core’dinations with a piece of Soho Subway Designer Series Paper on top. The greeting is from the Label Love Stamp Set and is stamped in Island Indigo and punched out with the Artisan Label Punch. I cut out a piece of Summer Starfruit with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits and embossed it with the Alphabet Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Behind it is a piece of 1 1/4″ Burlap Ribbon that is flagged on the bottom. Sticky Strip and Stampin’ Dimensionals hold all of the pieces in place. Inside the box, with one on the front, are tickets from the You’re Amazing Stamp Set that are stamped in Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit and Crisp Cantaloupe. I used the Ticket Duo Builder Punch to punch them out and they are randomly adhered to each other and to the props with SNAIL. Sort of a neat box isn’t it with plenty of room for a gift card or a little special present.

I know I say it every week, but boy am I happy that it’s Friday! There are rumors that we may get out of work early today. Let’s hope that holds true! It was cold and windy here again yesterday, I’d like to know where spring has gone. Tonight I’m supposed to go out to dinner with Anthony and Bill, we’ll probably do Friday’s because I have about 386 points on my Stripes card, which I think equates to all of us eating for free. LOL! I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s snippet of Satellite Lane. As soon as they get the edited video back from the videographer, I will post the link to that. What kind of plans do you all have to get your weekend started? Today’s post is a special one. It is the 200th Pals Paper Arts challenge! Woo-hoo! This week, the Pals have given us a sketch with a twist…

I got my April Paper Pumpkin Kit in the mail yesterday which I’m sure you have all seen since Stampin’ Up! posted the early video of it. That’s what I used for my greeting on today’s card. The base of the card is Real Red Card Stock and my two panels are both pieces of paper from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack and both of them are backed with Whisper White. The top panel is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the bottom panel is adhered with SNAIL. Like I said, my greeting comes from this month’s Paper Pumpkin and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I cut it out with the Circles Collection Framelits and that too is adhered to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. It needed a little something more, so I used the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and some Whisper White to punch out some flowers and gave them a little extra pop by sticking a rhinestone in the center of each one. I used the Stampin’ Pierce Mat and the Paper-Piercing Tool to shape the flowers and give them a nice three-dimensional look. As you can see, I’ve accepted both the sketch and the monochromatic challenge, which by the way, was the twist! I’ve been on a bit of a heat embossing kick lately, I’m just really liking the way it looks. The Photopolymer Stamps make a nice, crisp image, too. I hope you enjoyed my card for this week’s special 200th Pals Paper Arts challenge. Your visit, as always, is much appreciated! I hope your weekend gets off to a fantastic start to your weekend! 🙂

Rainy and windy, that was the best way to describe yesterday. It rained all day, again better than snow. Some of you told me that you had snow yesterday, doesn’t Winter know that it has clearly overstayed it’s welcome?! This past weekend was clearly a tease because it’s 30 degrees here this morning! On a positive note it is Wednesday and that is always better than Monday! Tonight I’m off to Manhattan for a bit with Andrew. We are going to meet my friend Kim and have some dinner and then Andrew has a performance with Satellite Lane. They are going to perform a proposal in Times Square, that should be fun!

Stampin’ Up! had a fun announcement yesterday! They have partnered with Becky Higgins, the creator of the popular Project Life scrapbooking system.

We are so so so excited to let you know we’ve partnered with the amazing Becky Higgins to bring you the real deal—authentic Project Life products, now in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors and designs. If you’ve somehow missed the Project Life craze and are wondering what it’s all about, we’ll fill you in: it’s a super simple, totally affordable way to get your photos into albums: you just slip your photos into Photo Pocket Pages and add designed cards. It’s a back-to-basics approach to documenting your life. In a nutshell, it’s all aboutspending more time making memories and less time scrapbooking them.

You’ll be able to order a selection of Project Life products starting May 1! And with the launch of our new annual catalog on June 2, you’ll be able to buy from our complete line of Project Life products.

Can’t wait that long? Stampin’ Up! demonstrators will be able to order the limited selection starting April 21. So if you’re a demonstrator make sure to check the demonstrator website that day; if you’re not a demonstrator, sign up and you can order the products early too!

I saw on the Stampin’ Up! Customer Site the other day that that had a video on a watercolor technique  so I tried it on my card today. The base of the card is Smoky Slate Card Stock. My background is a piece Daffodil Delight on top and a piece of Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper on the bottom. I used a piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon to hide the seam. Adhered to the ribbon is a piece of Crushed Curry that I cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits. The main panel is a piece of Watercolor Paper. I used the Fine Feathers Stamp Set and a Stampin’ Spritzer with water. I inked the stamp with Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo and Gumball Green and I spritzed it with water before I stamped it. It does really give a nice watercolor effect to the stamped images. Across the bottom is a strip of Gumball Green that I cut out with the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die and adhered it to the watercolor paper. It’s backed with a piece of Island Indigo  and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally the bird is from the Nature’s Hello Host(ess) Stamp Set and is stamped in Smoky Slate. I used the Backyard Basics Framelits to cut him out and another Stampin’ Dimensionals holds him in place. I really do like that watercolor technique and will use it again, it was quick and easy. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Now take a quick click over to the blog to see what the other designers have for inspiration and let’s see what you come up with. I hope you all have a great Wednesday, I thank you very much for coming by! 🙂

Another beautiful day here in New York! I started the day off by driving into Manhattan and much to my surprise, I made it into the city in 28 minutes. Don’t tell anyone! LOL! Had some breakfast with Kim, went to see a friend in Midtown, managed to stop on the way back up and take some pictures that you will see below. I went back to Kim’s and she decided she’d take the ride back out to Long Island with me. We went for a walk on the Bethpage bike trail, took my parents to the airport and had some dinner at Friday’s. I dropped Kim off at the train station and Andrew came by to pick up two cards that I made for his mom which I will post later this week. Now on to the pictures…

This is the Roosevelt Island Tram. It runs parallel to the 59th Street Bridge to the midway point where it drops down to Roosevelt Island. At one time, this was the only way to get to Roosevelt Island via public transportation. They have since added a subway stop on the F-line. I still think this is a pretty neat way to get to the island, and one day I will take it there!

Now on to today’s card which is for this week’s Paper Players challenge and Ann has given us this interesting color challenge…

    Paper Players #191

My card base is a piece of Coastal Cabana Card Stock and as a background, I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die which I cut out of a piece of Calypso Coral. On top of that is my tag which is cut from Crumb Cake using the Angled Tag Topper Punch. My greeting is stamped on the tag in Always Artichoke. The stamp comes from the Simply Sketched Host(ess) Stamp Set. On the left of the tag I stamped the leaves from the Secret Garden Stamp Set in Always Artichoke and cut them out with the Secret Garden Framelits. On top of that are two flowers which I stamped in Calypso Coral from the Flower Shop Stamp Set. They are punched out with the Pansy Punch. I like the look of the card but I felt it was too empty so I added another flower and leaf at the bottom to fill it out some more. As an added embellishment, I tied some Linen Thread through the tag to give it the finishing touch. I know I’ve used the flowers a lot lately and I promise I will move on to something else! LOL! I hope you like what I did with the bold color combination from the Paper Players this week. Thanks for taking some time out of your Monday to see what I was up to yesterday. Here’s to a good Monday for all of us!

  • Pals Paper Arts 199

Well that was a very nice Saturday! The weather was absolutely beautiful. Nice and sunny and it was in the upper 60’s. I went for a haircut in the morning and the top was down in the car all day. After my haircut I went over to Kim’s and Heather, the munchkins and I went to the mall. We got some lunch and then wandered around for a bit. Heather was looking for a dress and found one in Express. We went back to Kim’s and then Heather and I ran to Bed, Bath & Beyond and the liquor store. We got back to the house and just relaxed and played with the kiddies. What a lovely way to spend a Saturday, with my peeps! I hope that you had good weather and an enjoyable day where you are! I’m off to Manhattan for a bit this morning and then taking my parents to the airport. My friend Kim from the city is going to come back with me and come with me to take my parents to the airport. Looks to be a fun day!

Today’s card is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts and we have a color challenge this week…

    PPA 199

I got home around 10:00 last night and I had a few cards to make. I needed a nice quick card so I CASE’d this one from the Annual Catalog. The base of the card is So Saffron Card Stock. I used some Sticky Strip to Adhere a piece of Calypso Coral 3/4″Chevron Ribbon down the right side. I flagged the ends with my Paper Snips before I Adhered it. A piece of Crumb Cake is embossed with the Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and I rounded the corners with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder before I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My greeting is from the Simply Celebrate Stamp Set and is stamped in Pear Pizzaz and punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. I cut out some Pear Pizzaz with the Little Leaves Sizzlit and stamped one of the images from the Flower Shop Stamp Set in Calypso Coral on Calypso Coral and punched it out with the Pansy Punch. In the middle is a piece of So Saffron that I punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the flower and there is a Basic Jewel Pearl in the middle. Sometimes you just need a little inspiration to speed you along! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I always enjoy having you stop by and see what I’ve been up to and love to hear about what you have been doing too! I hope you all have an amazing Sunday! 🙂
