SIP Challenge 107 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

So, I didn’t turn on the TV in the morning and managed to get a bunch of things done that I needed to finish! I also ran a few errands and then watched a little TV last night. It was nice and sunny so I got in some outside time too! Taylor stopped by for a few minutes just to say hi. Today I’m off to Sue’s to work on some Etsy stuff! Another productive day is ahead! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used the Stampin’ Up! Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and a piece of Smoky Slate. Next up is another piece of Solar White 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut. I stamped the greeting from the W Plus 9 Fanciful Feathers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Navy along the bottom of the frame. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My feathers are also from the Fanciful Feathers Set. I heat embossed them onto die cut Cobalt Vellum in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. A Wooden Button with some Grey Twine tied into a bow is adhered over the Feather and helps hold them to the frame. To give the card some more interest and a little sparkle I added some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold and Pewter Sequins and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars! I love the feathers in the copper on the cobalt vellum and I’m glad that I remembered that I had that Stampin’ Up! Embossing Folder! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see your take on the challenge! Enter one of your creations in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Embossing!

Well, that was a nice Saturday! I got a few cards made in the morning and then in afternoon I headed over to my Brother’s for Tristan’s Birthday party. Lots of family and friends and of course my little Daniel. He rode all around the backyard in his Ford F-150 driving it like he’s had his license for years! LOL! Tristan was happy like she always is and wanted to be with me most of the time! She is starting to talk and will be walking very soon! I’ll share some pictures when my Brother posts them. I got to play photographer yesterday so I didn’t take any with my iPhone. This morning I think I’m going to try and tackle my top on my car. It leaked fluid out of the front and I can’t put it down anymore. My only source of happiness! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge

I do love some heat embossing and that’s all I did! To create my background I used the Concord & 9th Oh Hello Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI. For each turn I stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold, Brass, Platinum and Copper Embossing Powder. It’s then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My main greeting, also from the same stamp set is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the background and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Just three Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Gold and Rose Gold Sequins finish the card! I do love all of the metallics with the Oh Hello Turnabout, makes for a fun and interesting background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Embossing Challenge! We hope that you will play along with us and enter your card in the gallery over on the BLOG!ย Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us onย Instagramย andย Facebook! Snowy Summer Mountains

Hello and a happy Saturday to you! It rained a little here yesterday and was sunny too, just couldn’t make up it’s mind! I managed to get some crafting done in the morning and then had dinner with my Parents. Taylor came by again, I guess she really does like spending time with me, I must be a cool dad! LOL! We ran some errands and talked for a while. Today is Tristan’s first birthday party! I’ll be sure and get some pictures, even I have to steal them off of the shared album! Should be a fun time! ๐Ÿ˜€

I was missing the lake this weekend and somehow this card came out of that! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Marina Mist. I used the Hero Arts Snowy Drifts Fancy Dies to cut out two pieces of Garden Green. To give them a little more definition I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Pine Needles Distress Ink to the tops. I then heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The two pieces are then adhered to the card. That lovely frame is cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the Hero Arts Floral Border with Frame Die and is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love when you can use a winter set to make a nice summery card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I thank you for visiting and wish you a superb Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Golden Hugs – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hi all! I hope that you had a happy and safe Independence Day! I started my day yesterday by picking up my friend Chantal and heading over to Long Beach. Her Granddaughter takes surfing lessons so we went to watch. While we were there we saw a whole bunch of Dolphins in the water just off the beach. Who knew that we had Dolphins in the waters here?! You can see the kids in the water…

Before heading back Chantal and I had a nice brunch at a local restaurant. It was great to get to spend some time with her! I dropped her off and then stopped by my house before heading over to Stephanie’s for a BBQ. There were a bunch of my peeps there and we had a really nice time! Today I have some crafting to do and a lot of cleaning. ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog at 11:00AM today. Be sure and stop by there too! I did another card with a bunch of layers! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Concord & 9th Select-A-Size Edge Dies to cut a piece of Lobster and Gold Mirror Card. On the Lobster I heat embossed the hugs from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The two layers are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the edge dies and the nice simple hugs greeting! I hope that you like my card for my July Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog!ย Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us onย Instagramย andย Facebook! Paper Craft Crew 250

Hey there! Another morning that started off with some rain but then finished nice and sunny! I got a few things completed that I wanted to finish in the morning. I also got a little cleaning done! Last night I went with Heather and Stephanie to see George play softball. They lost the first game but were winning the second when we left! This morning I’m off to Manhattan again, this time to see Mary! Should be another fun day in the city! ๐Ÿ˜€

Well, let’s see… it’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Today’s card starts off with a card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp in Soft Vanilla right onto the front. My ice pops are from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set, they are stamped in Aquatic, Crimson and Green Apple Hybrid Ink and then heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. My sticks are cut from some leftover Kraft that I heat embossed with clear using the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background. I adhered the sticks to the popsicles and then them to the card. I stamped my greeting, also from the Sweet & Cool Set, in Cup O Joe. A few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets on the ice pops and the card is done! I love the effect that you get when you clear emboss over the Hybrid ink! They really do look good enough to eat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the other cards and enter yours in the gallery! Paper Players 350

And back to reality! I did have one of the best weekends in recent memory! We all had so much fun at Jim’s country house on the lake! The traffic was a little horrendous on the way home but that’s New York! We did stop for a little lunch and I got back to my house around 4:30. I decompressed for a bit and then Taylor came by and we ran a few errands and got Wendy’s for dinner. I also made my card for today! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see my friend Isabella! It’s been way too long! ๐Ÿ˜€

That card that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Delicate Petals Stencil with my Stencil Brush and some Lime Green Ink to add a little color to the background. Down the left side is a strip of Night of Navy. The Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies are used to cut out a piece of Lime and I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. My butterflies are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped them in Tide Pool and Navy using my Mini MISTI and then cut them out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. It’s heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another strip of Night of Navy. All of the butterflies and greeting are adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I really am enjoying my stencils and brush, such an easy way to add some color to a card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 293

I’m sure that with all of the nice weather we have had here for the past few days we are due for some rain soon. I managed to get a lot of crating done in the morning yesterday and also did some wash. A quick dinner with the ‘rents and then a trip to Walmart with Taylor. After that I ran over to Jim’s to help him with some things. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see Ella and then I’ll take the train back to Rockville Center, meet up with Jim and then head off to Pennsylvania for a long weekend! Ahh… to be away for a while will be good! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have a simple masculine card to share with you today for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge but before we get to that I want to thank Cรฉcile for choosing me as her King of Clean for last week’s challenge!

You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE! Now for this week…

To start I pulled out the piece of Black that was heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear and White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder using the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp, it was left over from a card that I made a few weeks ago. I adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the right is a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic, I used the Concord & 9th Select-A-Size Edges Dies to trim the left side and then heat embossed the greeting from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder. That’s it! A nice simple masculine card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for visiting and hopefully tomorrow I’ll have some PA pics for you! Enjoy your Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 249

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! We did have a very nice day here yesterday with lots of sun! I spent most of the day with Sue working on Etsy stuff. We went to Panera for lunch and I had my grilled cheese and tomato soup! In the evening Jim came by and I made us some nice big salads with grilled chicken, olives, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, croutons and blue cheese dressing. Taylor came by and chatted with us for a bit and we finished the evening off with a few YouTube videos. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done! I found out that I will be away for the weekend! WEE! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I was going through my stamps and came across this old but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wave Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply some Tide Pool Ink to the lower left. Across the lower part is a piece of Copper Tape. My circle is cut from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts July 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the coral and jellyfish in Tide Pool and did the second layer of the jellyfish in Copper Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the circle. My greeting is heat embossed onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with White Hero Arts Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and done! I still love that jellyfish, makes for a nice different image on a card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wondrous Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 104 – Colors!

It started out as a beautiful sunny day but around 5:00 the heavens opened and we had rain for the rest of the evening. I did get a little crafting done in the morning and then ran a few errands in the convertible! I also helped Jim with some computer stuff remotely in the evening and Taylor came by to spend some time with me. Later on we ran to BJ’s with Heather so she could use her coupons before they expired! She is too funny! I’m going to have breakfast with Heather this morning and then over to Sue’s for a little bit to work on some Etsy stuff! ๐Ÿ˜€

Now it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

A nice bright cheery group of colors, wouldn’t you say?! I’m still keeping it simple! To start my card is used my MISTI to stamp the solid part of the “feathers” from the Simon Says Stamp One With Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in High Dive, Goldenlocks and Hot Mama ink. After they had dried I stamped the outlines in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Hot Mama in the lower right corner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins finish the card! I know that the “feathers” are trees but I think they work pretty well! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink. Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! Huge Thanks

Hey there! Happy Saturday to you! We had a rainy drizzly day here yesterday. I spent most of it in the house watching TV, it was just one of those kinds of days. I did go over and have dinner with my Parents and later on in the evening Taylor came by and we watched Dr. Strange. Today I’m off to Manhattan again this time to see my friend Kim! Should be a good day! ๐Ÿ˜€

My card that I have to share with you today uses the June My Monthly Hero Kit! I used my MISTI to repeatedly stamp some of the elephants in Wet Cement onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock along with a larger one onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The single elephant is cut out with the Coordinating Die. I stamped the grass along the bottom to even out the card. The sunset die is used to cut out a piece of Orange Vellum and I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left. The large elephant is adhered to the Vellum with 3M Foam Tape and then the vellum to the card with Vellum Adhesive. I love the outlines of all of the elephants, especially the big one in front of the sunset! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for visiting! Have a super Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚
