Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Embossing!

Well, that was a nice Saturday! I got a few cards made in the morning and then in afternoon I headed over to my Brother’s for Tristan’s Birthday party. Lots of family and friends and of course my little Daniel. He rode all around the backyard in his Ford F-150 driving it like he’s had his license for years! LOL! Tristan was happy like she always is and wanted to be with me most of the time! She is starting to talk and will be walking very soon! I’ll share some pictures when my Brother posts them. I got to play photographer yesterday so I didn’t take any with my iPhone. This morning I think I’m going to try and tackle my top on my car. It leaked fluid out of the front and I can’t put it down anymore. My only source of happiness! LOL! πŸ˜€

Today I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge

I do love some heat embossing and that’s all I did! To create my background I used the Concord & 9th Oh Hello Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI. For each turn I stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold, Brass, Platinum and Copper Embossing Powder. It’s then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My main greeting, also from the same stamp set is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the background and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Just three Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Gold and Rose Gold Sequins finish the card! I do love all of the metallics with the Oh Hello Turnabout, makes for a fun and interesting background! 1. How neat Justin! I had no idea how one would use the turnabout stamp but now that I see your card it all makes sense. When I first looked at the card I wondered how you managed to get all the different embossed colors onto one stamp. I always look at your card before I read the description to see if I can figure out how you did it. I hate to admit it but most of the time I have to give up and read to understand how it all came together but for one thing it challenges my getting feeble mind (LOL) and for another I learn so much from you.
I bet the party was fun and those kids are so adorable! I’m glad to hear Tristan is taking to her Uncle Justin as much as Daniel does. Is his Ford F-150 battery operated? If so, you need to trade it in for a Chevy according to the hubs who has been a mechanic all his life…………….too funny. Thanks for the beautiful card today and everyday. Have yourself a Super Sunday my friend. Love & Hugs to you! XXOO

    1. Thank you Grace! I love the Turnabout Stamps! It was a lot of embossing but I love the way they all look together! LOL! I’m happy that I can still teach you some things and that makes me happy! Tristan is adorable and so happy! The Ford is battery operated! He drives it like an adult! My dad an brother and big Ford fans! Sorry! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚
