Mojo Monday 477

Another nice weekend spent with some really nice people, who could ask for anything more?! The Stamp, Ink, Paper store is always so much fun when there are loads of people hanging to and being creative! People working on scrapbook pages and cards. I got to help Evelyn with her Cricut, something new for me! If it plugs in I get it! LOL! I also got my inventory completed, a very productive day! After work I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then came home and relaxed. I try to do that on Sunday nights. Today I have a lot more system stuff to do at the store and hopefully everything will be finished by Wednesday! Wish me luck! 😀

It’s Monday and time for the last Mojo Monday challenge of 2016! We will be taking a little break until January so here is the sketch…

mojo477

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the front with a piece of Herb Garden. For my background I place the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Prints Background into my MISTI and stamped in in Hero Arts Green Hills onto Solar White 80lb and Versa-Mark onto Crisp Green and then heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I then adhered the two sides, matching up the pattern, onto my card base. Across the lower half is a strip of Gold Mirror Card. My greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Lime to Forever Green Ombre Ink repeatedly onto another piece of Solar White 80lb using my MISTI again. The center one is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I backed it with some more Herb Garden and it’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To complete the card I die cut one of the snowflakes from the Hero Arts Paper Layering Snowflakes with Frames from a piece of Ice Gold Curious Metallic. It’s adhered to the card with a 3D Foam Square and in the center is a Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequin! I really do love the way the background came out and the MISTI made it so easy to do! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the last Mojo Monday Sketch of 2016! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Wam & Cozy Mittens

Crop days are always lots of fun at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Scrap-A-Latte! I love getting to see everyone! Linda, Lisette and Susan were all working on their Holiday cards! I managed to get two cards made as well! Have I mentioned the randomly flat tire that I get on my car from time to time? Well, my Dad took the tire and got it fixed yesterday morning! It turns out that there was a nail in it since probably about two weeks after I got the tires last year! Crazy that it didn’t go flat all of the time but it’s fixed now! After work I stopped by Heather’s, she was going to the Fire Department Christmas Party with Geroge and needed a little outfit advice! From there I went to my Parent’s to have dinner with them and Taylor and after that I made the mistake of turning on the TV and got sucked into two movies! I had stuff to do but today is always a good time to get that done! LOL! It’s also day two of the Crop, another fun day! 😀

One of the cards that I worked on yesterday is what I have to share with you today! The base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Tropical Sea. I stamped the mittens from the Hero Arts Holiday Mittens Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black onto some Solar White 80lb using my MISTI. Next I took the snowflakes and stamped them in Tide Pool to fill in the empty spaces around the mittens and adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The mittens are then heat embossed onto another piece of Tropical Sea with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, the string onto some Chinese Red, I die cut the one on the right along with the string and cut the one out on the left with my Scissors. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Little Messages Stamp & Cut Set and is also heat embossed in White onto Chinese Red. The mittens, string and greeting are then adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card! I was originally going to color in the mittens which is why I stamped them in Black but changed my mind and opted to make the Tropical Sea ones the focal point instead! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you so much for stopping but today! Have a simple Sunday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 76 – Embossing!

I have lots of issues this time of year choosing the right coat to wear! Today it was a little on the cool side and I just wore my Columbia Fleece, I was cold! I think I need to rethink my layers! It was good to be back at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store today. I got some of my to do list accomplished and a few projects completed. I also got a very nice surprise for lunch! Heather stopped by with Pizza! She is so good to me! It was nice to get to see her at the store and we had a nice leisurely lunch and then we ran over to the Dollar Tree so she could get some paper goods for Christmas. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s and see my little Daniel! He finished his dinner while I had mine and then we played with his train and some old wooden blocks. Every time I would build a tower he would knock it down and laugh! He really does have the best laugh! My brother took him home around 7:30 and I came home to find Taylor binging on Grey’s Anatomy. She asked if ate and I said that I had and if she wanted some food to go next door so she did. Heather came by around 7:45 to get me so I could go and run a few errands with her. We stopped at Starbucks to get my fave, a Soy Holiday Spice Flat White – No Foam. She has become as addicted to them as I am! A little Heather time is always a nice way to end the day! Today I have a lot of catching up to do at the store and I will get it done! 😀

It’s Tuesday so that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge! This week we have an Embossing Theme…

sip-any-challenge-76-800

I actually started this card a little over a week ago and finished it last night! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Lawn Fawn Blue Jay Card Stock and used the Concord & 9th Joy Die to cut out the word from the middle. After it was die cut I placed the panel in my Mini MISTI, coated it with my EK Success Powder Tool, put the letters back in and stamped it with the Joy stamp from the Concord and 9th Joy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark. Before I sprinkled on some WOW! Metallic Copper Sparkle Embossing Glitter I removed the letters so that just the outline would be embossed. White I was at it I heat embossed the to the to the world under the Joy and to the right. Next I traced the letters onto a piece of Fun Foam and cut out a rectangle with my Craft Knife. I then adhered a piece of Acetate and the Fun Foam to the back of the panel with Scor-Tape adding more Scor-Tape to the back of that. To create my twine bow I cut a piece of Solar White 110lb with my Paper Trimmer to 1/8″ and then used the bow from the Concord & 9th Mistletoe Card Frame Add-On Dies. The two pieces are coated with more Versa-Mark and sprinkled with more of the Copper Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat embossed. I used my Quickie Glue Pen to adhered the strip and a Glue Dot to adhered the bow. The well I created is filled with some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold and Cobalt Sequins and the panel is adhered to the card base. We all know how I love a shaker and how cool is that WOW! Embossing Powder, especially on the Blue Jay Card Stock?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Embossing Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the creative Design Team’s cards! We hope that you will take some time and make a card and play along with us! Thanks very much for your visit! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 476

It was actually a nice sunny day here yesterday. I started to feel a little better in the afternoon and Andrew came over to continue helping me with my little project, getting closer to competing it. We worked on it for about 5 hours. He headed out around 5:30 and then Taylor came by for a bit. I had gotten her one of the Amazon Fire Tablets, it was on sale for $33 how can you go wrong?! It is an early Christmas present and she loved it. I worked on a few crafty projects in the evening and am looking forward to getting back to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store tomorrow! 😀

It’s the start of a new week and we have a fun simple Mojo Monday sketch for you…

mojo476

I was digging through some older supplies and found one of my old favorites so I included some on today’s card. My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Cherry Cobbler. On top of that is that Brushed Silver Metallic Card Stock that I loved so much back in the day! For the main panel I heat embossed the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Print Background onto a piece of Basic Gray in WOW! Rich Play Gold Embossing Powder. I have seen a lot of people using it and I have to agree it’s a nice soft gold! The panel is adhered to another piece of Cherry Cobbler and then that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. For the greeting I heat embossed a stamp form the Hero Arts Holiday Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set onto more Cherry Cobbler in more Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder, another image and the greeting are heat embossed onto 48lb Vellum with Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder, I then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The lager image is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the Vellum to that with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I tried a few sequins but it just didn’t need anything else! I do love that Rich Pad Gold and the detail on the Holiday Florals Background! I had forgotten that I had that one! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of teammate’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so, so much for starting another week off with me! I wish you all a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Paper Players 322

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope that you will all be spending time with your loved ones today and eating far too much food. So much that you have to Black Friday shop online! LOL! I will be having a nice low key day at home, Taylor is going to come by for pizza and then she will be heading to work at 4:30. I did have a nice day yesterday. I went to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to wait for FedEx and UPS, they were there by 11:30! From there I stopped by my old job and visited with my friends, it was so nice to see everyone! Nancy’s nice and nephew were there too! After that I headed over to Heather’s to run a few errands with her and then came home and had dinner with my Parent’s. After that Taylor and I took a ride back over to the Store because of course I forgot the things that I wanted to take with me from the deliveries! After that we did a quick trip to Target and then I came home and made my card for today! 😀

That card that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

paper-players-322

I was very good and kept my card very CAS! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the tree in Tide Pool and Mint Julep and then heat embossed the snow layer in more Sparkle Embossing Powder. The deer is stamped in Soft Brown three times with my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My greeting is stamped in Tide Pool and all of the pieces are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares, I used the Thin 3D Foam Squares on the deer to make him look like he’s behind the tree. I do love that Sparkle Embossing Powder, it looks so much nicer in person! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 220

It was another windy, chilly day yesterday. I did get a lot accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Taylor even came up to see me! After work I stopped home to drop off my stuff and then headed over to Heather’s so that we could go out to Bohemia and visit our friends Patti and Tom and their two daughters. We had a nice evening and I even got to drive Heather’s new car home! Today the Store is closed but I have to run over there and wait for UPS and FedEx to deliver some packages. After that I’m going to head over to my old office and visit my former co-workers. It’s been ages since I have seen Nancy and I can’t wait to catch up with her! 😀

Today is Wednesday and time for a new Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

pcccs220-dt-sketch-11-23-2016

I turned the sketch sideways and made my card that way! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the snowflakes from the Concord & 9th Joy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Delicata Golden Glitz Ink and then added a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape along the bottom right. Next up is a panel of Ice Gold Curious Metallic that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts. The panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My cup, spoon and marshmallows are from the Concord & 9th Let’s Chat Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed all of the images, the cup in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and the spoon in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder both onto Gold Mirror Card. The marshmallows are heat embossed in more white onto a piece of Solar White 110lb and I cut all of the images out with my Scissors. The JOY is cut from American Crafts Gold Glitter Card using the Concord & 9th Joy Die. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins for some extra sparkle and the card is done! I love the gold with the white, it makes for a very subtle and elegant card don’t you think? I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time out of your busy day to stop by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 75 – Colors!

It is way too cold here for me! I don’t think that the wind is helping much either! LOL! Oh how I miss the Summer! You know how I love my Convertible because the top goes down… well in the Winter I love it for the heated seats! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy today, Renee had her Home Decor class, I really do wish that I had joined that when it started, it’s so neat! I got to see my friend Arnise, she never makes it out of the store without coming back in! LOL! I always joke with her that third times a charm! Taylor was at my house when I got home and she is watching Grey’s Anatomy from the start. Apparently it was too good to leave to go over to my Parent’s for dinner! When I got back to my house she had finished her episode and was off. I watched a few YouTube videos and then messed around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit. Today I have a lot of things to get done at the store. We are closed on Wednesday and Thursday and Renee won’t be in on Friday. I’ll be there avoiding Black Friday shopping! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

sip-75-color-challenge-800

I’ll admit that I had a hand in the color selection… they are some of my favorites! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Hunter Green. For the background I used the Your Next Stamp Scallop Heart Edge Die to cut out the right side of a piece of Tropical Sea. It is then heat embossed with my favorite Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. I used a piece of Post-it Tape to mask off the right side and then adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My tree is made up of all of the open hearts from the Your Next Stamp Stripe-tastic Heart Die. I cut them out of more Hunter Green and stamped all but the smallest one with the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Prints Background Stamp and Emerald Green Ink. The small heart is heat embossed in more Copper Embossing Powder five times. For the trunk I heat embossed a piece of Dark Molasses with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp and yet more Copper Embossing Powder. The trunk is adhered with E-Z Runner and the hearts are adhered with 3D Foam Squares on the bottom and E-Z Runner on top. I added the hearts cut from the border with a Quickie Glue Pen and decided the tree needed some lights so I used my Uniball Signo White Gel Pen for that. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is again heat embossed in Copper. I used one of the small heart dies to flag the ends and adhered it to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. It’s definitely a different card than I’m used to making, it almost has a country feel to it but I do like the hearts used to make the tree and of course all of the Copper embossing! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s inspiration and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to visit with me today! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

Holiday Grateful Leaves

What started off as a really nice sunny and warm day ended with some rain and a drop in the temps. I guess that the really nice weather that we have been having couldn’t last forever! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was so much fun yesterday and I had a great time with the ladies! My friend Elyse got four cards made and a new customer Julia bought the Lawn Fawn Kit! She said that she would have the cards made from the kit in time for the next card class! I look forward to seeing them! After work I stopped home for a bit and saw my Parents. At around 7:00 I headed over to George’s to see Heather’s new car! She got a Honda Accord in dark blue with grey interior. It’s a very nice car and handles really well! I spent the rest of the evening with her and Geroge and we had a lovely time! She had made chicken francaise for dinner and it was delicious! I shared a bottle of Cupcake Red Velvet with George, love that wine! Today Renee will be at her grandson’s birthday party so I will have the store all to myself in the morning. I plan to get lots of stuff done! Wish me luck! 😀

I was inspired the other day by a piece of patterned paper that I saw and this is the card the resulted from that! My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. On the left side I adhered a piece of Photoplay Real Genius Stripe 12×12 Paper. My panel is a piece of Kraft that I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background stamp on in Soft Brown. The panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. My leaves are from the Grateful Leaves Stamp & Cut Combo and are stamped in Green Hills, Raspberry Jam and Tide Pool onto more craft. I used my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp each of the images and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The veins are heat embossed in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. I heat embossed the greeting from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Rich Pale Gold onto a strip of kraft and adhered all of the pieces to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love the way that leaves look stamped on the kraft, makes the colors look a little richer! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you for coming by and I wish you all a simple Sunday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 219

Yesterday flew by at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! It rained most of the day, sometimes poured but Angie, Renee and I were very productive! I got a few cards made and sent out a reminder email for this week’s Card Class. After work I came home, had dinner with my Parents and then Heather came by to get me so we could run to BJ’s and Target. I desperately needed creamer! LOL! I couldn’t get my usual Italian Sweet Cream and had to get Hazelnut on Sunday, I haven’t had a good cup of coffee since then! As soon as I got back I made a cup and remembered how much of a difference a good creamer makes! Today I have to get ready for this week’s class, I don’t think that Sue will be joining me, she has my friend John the Painter at her house. 😀

So it’s Wednesday, time for another Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

pcccs219-dt-sketch-11-15-2016

In Concord & 9th’s release this month they brought back an older set that I actually didn’t have and that’s what I used on my card today! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Crd Stock. For my background I used a piece of Kraft. I stamped the greeting in Hero Arts Black Ink from the Concord & 9th Let’s Chat Photopolymer Stamp Set and then wrapped some May Arts Natural Twine around the top and tied it in a bow. The panel is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My images are from the same set, the spoon is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder into a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic, the cup and saucer are stamped in Black onto some Ivory 110lb. I cut all of the images out with my Scissors and then stamped the coffee in Soft Brown, dried it with my Heat Tool and then stamped the latte heart in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The saucer and spoon are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and the cup with 3D Foam Squares. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Onyx and Sand Sequins and the card is done! I do love this set, well, the theme is related to coffee! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to head over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! Thanks for your visit today! Have a wild and wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 74 – CAS Christmas!

Another lovely day! I’m starting to cherish them as I know they won’t be around for much longer! The Stamp, Ink, Paper store was great! Angie was there today, she has some vacation time to use before the end of the year. We all worked on projects and had quite the productive day! I got my Concord & 9th and it’s all checked in! I did play a little with some of it, love new goodies! After work I went over to my Brother’s and met my Parents there for dinner. Daniel and I played with his new birthday presents, he showed me how they all worked. I got home around 8:00 and did some stuff around the house and watched a little HGTV. I have so much to get done this week, there really aren’t enough hours in the day! 😀

Tuesday… it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and we have a fun this week…

sip-theme-74-800

Clean and Simple Christmas! I used a Hero Set that I have had for a while! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp in Hero Arts Soft Vanilla onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card. A strip of Champagne Curious Metallic goes down the left side. My images are from the Hero Arts Origami Holiday Stamp & Die Combo Set. They are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto more Solar White 80lb and then I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Hero Arts Soft Brown, Red Royal and Charcoal Ink over the images. They are ten cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black in the lower right corner. I decided not to add anything else to keep it very clean! I hope that you like my Design Team Card fro this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Clean and Simple Christmas challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the talented Design Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
