    Flutter Beautiful Bouquet

Hey there! I hope that your weekend is off to a great start! I enjoyed my time at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday! Renee usually does some kind of special when I’m there minding the shop and yesterday she posted on FaceBook that if you mentioned the post you got 20% off your purchase! Pretty cool! My parents brought Daniel by to see me and a little while later Brian stopped by with Izzy! Nice to have some visitors along with the customers! I FaceTimed with Andrea and updated my old MacBook Pro that I haven’t turned on in over a year! Still runs pretty well considering it’s over seven years old! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s so we could run up to IKEA once again! LOL! She had to get some greenery and a chandelier! Once I got back to my house I had dinner and watched a little TV before bed. Today I’ll be spending the day at The Ink Pad with the lovely Barbara! Come on by and say hi!

So I got some new goodies from Concord & 9th, love that company! I needed to play with them so that’s what yielded today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the entire front with a piece of Black 110lb. Next I took a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card and used my Spellbinders Artisan Explorer Machine to emboss the Concord & 9th Bouquet Die into the paper. I used Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry Distress Markers colored onto an acrylic block along with my paintbrush and some water to loosely trace over the die lines. It’s trimmed down a little and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is cut from a piece of Vellum with the Concord & 9th Floral and Flutter Dies. I cut it again from some more Black 110lb and then trimmed off the wings and adhered the body to the Vellum with Multi-Matte Medium. It’s then adhered to the card with a thin sliver of Foam Tape. The greeting is cut from still more Black 110lb using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies and that is also adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally what card would be complete without a few Aquamarine and Sparkling Clear Pretty Pink Posh Sequins?! I do love the Concords & 9th Dies, especially that butterfly, so nice and different! I hope that you enjoyed my card that I created for you today! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Happy Friday my friends! It was a little chilly here yesterday and today we are supposed to get rain. I’ll be at Scrap-A-Latte for the day so Renee can have a little time to herself. Yesterday I crafted in the morning with Andrea via FaceTime and then went over and had lunch with Brian, Kim and the kiddies. When I got back home I saw Daniel for a little bit and then continued crafting. Around 7:00 Heather called and asked if I wanted to take a ride to IKEA to get a new desk with her so I gladly went. I put the desk together when we got back to her place and then updated her Mac for her. I also installed the software so that she can scan wirelessly. That made her a happy girl! I really do enjoy spending time with my peeps more than anything else!

For today’s card I thought that I would try out a new challenge, the Global Design Project

    GDP028 Jess Williams CASE

I took some of the layout from the card and made a fun little peeps wreath! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add a little Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue to serve as a backdrop for my wreath. The panel is mounted to a piece of Black 110lb and that is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The wreath is cut from some Tim Holtz Watercolor Card using the Simon Says Stamp Chisholm Wreath. I added some Gathered Twigs with an Ink Blending tool and adhered it to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My peeps are from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. To color them in I used Abandoned Coral, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Markers scribbled onto a clear acrylic block and picked up with a wet paintbrush. I adhered them to the wreath with Foam Tape and added the eyes and noses with a Black Glaze Gel Pen. A few Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine, Lime Sorbet and Sparkling Clear Sequins are added to the wreath in between the peeps. Finally my greeting, also from the same stamp set, is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right corner. I still am loving those peeps and they look pretty neat watercolored! I hope that you enjoyed my first card for the Global Design Team Project challenge! Thanks for stopping by and have a fun filled Friday! 🙂

What a day yesterday was. I have been trying to sell an iPhone 5S on eBay. The first time to sold over two weeks ago the guy never paid for it and then it turned out to be a fraudulent account. That took way too long to resolve! I re-listed it and someone hit the Buy it Now button and they didn’t pay either. I emailed them 6 times and finally they sent an email back saying that they changed their mind. Umm… that’s not how eBay works! So I give up! I had Subway with Heather for lunch, she made me laugh, always does! I did manage to get in some crafty time and Taylor and Kiera stopped by for a bit. Andrew came over around 5:45 and we headed up to the mall. Some Chipotle for dinner and then off to see Allegiant which was very good by the way! So after a somewhat annoying morning I did manage to end the day on a nice note!

The craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

    PCCCS187 DT Sketch 3-24-2016

Yup, I have been plying with my Lawn Fawn a lot again, I really do just love the images and sentiments! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb cut to 4 1/4″ wide. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Pacific Point and Solar White 80lb. I then used the Lawn Fawn Forest Border Lawn Cuts to cut out my trees on the White. The green is Mowed Lawn Distress Ink applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I added a little bit of Pine Needles Distress Ink to the trees and then adhered the green to the blue and then adhered the whole panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals are used to cut out a piece of Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip. The Chocolate Chip is cut again across the middle using the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and adhered to the Tempting Turquoise. All of the images and greetings are from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Yeti in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him in with Copics flicking in some of the darker gray to give the appearance of fur. The trees are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf and the footprints in Simon Says Stamp Khaki. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I then heat embossed the greeting onto the Chocolate Chip and another piece with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The unbelievable is cutout with the Lawn Fawn Just for You Labels Lawn Cuts. My trees are adhered with E-Z Runner and the Yeti, footprints and unbelievable are adhered with Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins make for some nice stars in the dusky sky! I really do love that Lovable Legends Set, isn’t the Yeti just too cute?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery! I always appreciate you coming by for a visit! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

Yes, it was the first day of Spring yesterday and yes, it snowed here last night! I think that Mother Nature is a little confused! Most of the day was nice and sunny, a little chilly but not bad. Then last night… snow! I’m over it, totally! LOL! I did enjoy my day at The Ink Pad with Jane yesterday. We had Dirty Bird for lunch… YUM! There was a steady flow of customers and I played a little with the Distress Crayons, I think that I really like them! The train ride home was nice too, not that many people on it. I had a little nap and then ate dinner at my Parent’s before coming home and crafting for a bit. Today is a little bit of a relaxed day! I want to wish my friend Andrea a very Happy Birthday!! Can’t wait to craft with you today!

I wanted to mention that The Ink Pad is chartering a bus to go to the Allentown Rubber Stamp Show on April 2nd. You can find out more info by clicking HERE to visit The Ink Pad’s web site! Be sure to tell them that Justin sent you! 🙂

The other day I sat down and stamped a few of the Goldfish from Hero and one of them made it on to today’s card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Wave Embossing Folder on a piece of Mint Macaroon and two pieces of Pool Party. I adhered the Mint Macaroon panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner with a strip of Coastal Cabana across the middle. The two panels of Pool Party are adhered the same way and were embossed so that the pattern would line up. My Goldfish, well Black Moor really, is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Simon Says Stamp Smoke and Black Ink and then used the first layer to stamp it in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I’m still waiting for the dies so I used my Scissors to cut him out. A circle is cut from a piece of Vellum Card Stock using the Sizzix Circles Framelits. The Molly is then adhered to the Vellum with Foam Tape, some more Foam Tape is added behind the Molly and then the circle is adhered to the card. I heat embossed the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on another piece of Vellum and punched it out with a 1″ Circle Punch. It’s adhered above the fish with more Foam Tape. Finally a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added and the card is done! I’m loving that Goldfish Stamp Set, especially in the grey and black and the embossing folder… well, I can’t say enough about them! Hi there! I hope that you had a nice week and are ready for the weekend! My day yesterday was great! I went over to Heather’s for lunch, we had Subway. After that I stopped by to see Daniel for a bit, he was being shy again! LOL! My friend Sue stopped by my house for a bit and we got all caught up, she also picked up some things that I had for her and Michael. Around 4:00 I made my way over to Scrap-A-Latte for class. One of the students came early and worked on her cards while I finished cutting. Renee and I had Wendy’s for dinner, you just can’t beat 4 for $4! It’s a very budget friendly meal! Brian was nice enough to bring me a Starbucks Flat White, he’s such a good guy! Class was loads of fun, we had some new students and some regulars! We lost the sock die from thy Loads of Fun Set for a little while but it was found stuck to some Washi Tape! By the time we all got finished it was 11:00 and time to head home. Today Jen Starr is teaching a class at the store so I’m going to go over and take a peek!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 228

I went super clean and simple! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. The panel is the same and I partially die cut the thoughtful with the Concord & 9th Being Class Dies to leave it hanging off the right side. My greeting is then stamped in Onyx Black from the Coordinating Concord & 9th Being Class Photopolymer Stamp Set. Next I heat embossed the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Photopolymer Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on a piece of Baked Brown Sugar and then cut it out with my Scissors. It’s held to the front of the panel and the top and left sides are cut off. I then lined up the die again and cut out the negative from the Tree Ring and adhered it to the panel with Foam Tape. The panel is then mounted to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I love the simplicity of the card, it may be one of my favorite ones ever! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by to see me today! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Let’s see… what is today?! Why I think that it’s FRIDAY!! Yesterday was a pretty nice day here. There were a few brief showers but in between I managed to get the top down in the car! I ran some errands with Heather and then spent a little time with Daniel before heading over to Scrap-A Latte for card class. Andrew and Kayleigh picked up some Blaze Pizza and we had dinner before class started. It was a fun time, Thursday’s are a little more laid back than Friday’s. After class I caught up with Danielle and on the way home I stopped at Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. I have some crafty things to get done this morning before heading back over to Scrap-A-Latte for the second night of class. I’ll post the cards that we made on Sunday and also have a little surprise too!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our sketch challenge…

    Fab Fri 83 3-18-2016

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered two strips, one of Silver Glimmer Paper and one Bermuda Bay to a piece of Black 110lb, stapled them with my Tiny Attacher and then adhered the panel to the card base. Next up is a piece of Cucumber Crush that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Waves 3D Embossing Folder. That is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My main panel is a piece of Bermuda Bay, I stamped the greeting and the map from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. The map is stamped in Mama Elephant Mojito Pigment Ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. For the greeting I used Onyx Black and then adhered the panel to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To give it a little sparkle I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Peacock Feather Iridescent, Shamrock and Sparkling Clear Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium. I love bold look of the Mojito Ink on the Bermuda Bay card stock and of course that 3D Embossing Folder is so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! SIP Challenge 39 – A Sketch from Ginger!

Hi there again! I hope that you had better weather than we did! It was a rainy dreary day here, not a bad for being crafty though! I had to run to UPS to drop off a return to Amazon, FaceTimed with Andrea for a bit when I got back and had some dinner before heading over to see Heather. We watched a little TV and had some wine. A pretty good way to spend a dreary Monday evening! Today I plan to clean a little and get a little more crafty! What’s on for you today?

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we a fun sketch from Ginger…

    SIP Sketch Challenge 39 800

My card base starts off with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered with a piece of Black 110lb. I heat embossed the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Background Stamp onto a piece of Basic Gray with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. My Journaling Card, Gold Doily and Love Flag are all from the My Mind’s Eye Fancy That Collection. I adhered the journaling card to the background with E-Z Runner and then added a strip of Gold Foil Sheet that I flagged the right side on. The square is another piece of Black 110lb, I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper and heat embossed my Mr. & Mrs. from the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The square is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The flag has a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine tied in a bow thought the holes and is adhered to the square, it’s self adhesive and the same goes for the doily! I heat embossed the heart from the same stamp set in Blushing Bride Stampin’ Emboss Powder three times and used the 1/2″ Circle Punch to punch them out. A little Foam Tape secures them. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added to give the card even more shine! I do love the journaling card and all of the embellishments from the Fancy That Collection, great colors and fun designs! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Howdy peeps! I hope that you are having a lovely weekend! I enjoyed my day in Manhattan yesterday as I always do! I do love waking up at Kim’s and then just taking the subway down to The Ink Pad. It’s always nice to spend the day with Anna, she even bought me some spinach pie for lunch and it was yummy! I took the 8:43 to Seaford and my parents came and picked me up. When I got home I unpacked my stuff and then sat down and made today’s card. I have some errands to run this morning and the fun task of laundry! What’s on for you today?

The card that I made last night is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 227

I played around with a new Hero Arts Layering Set! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Scotch Black Glitter Washi Tape down the left side. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I stamped with the Hero Arts Pearl Strings Bold Print Background in Tide Pool Ink. The two goldfish are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Butter Bar and Butter Bar to Orange Soda Ombre Ink. The eyes are stamped in Onyx Black. I took the first later and stamped over the fish with Versa-Mark and heat embossed some Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder onto them. They are cut out with my Paper Snips as the coordinating dies are on backorder! My greeting is from the same set and is stamped on the background in Onyx Black. I adhered the background to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam and the goldfish with Foam Tape. I love the way the clear embossing adds so much detail to the goldfish! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you very much for your visit today! I wish you all a stupendous Sunday! 🙂

The Ink Pad Hero Arts Class!

Another fun filled packed Friday! I went and got a haircut in the morning and my mum was there too so Erika dropped Daniel off. We walked around and looked at all of the stuff they have and then Daniel told one of the girls that the tree in the window was dusty! LOL! When I was finished with my haircut I got a text from Brian and he came by and picked me up from my house to go and have some lunch. We had Taco Bell, I haven’t had that in ages! After lunch I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to prepare for class at The Ink Pad. I took the 4:45 train in and got caught up with Jane and Brianna when I got to the store. We had a great class, everyone had fun and made some amazing cards! My friend Kim came for the first time and really enjoyed herself! After the class Kim and I went and had Dirty Bird for dinner and then made our way back up to her apartment. Today I’ll be heading back to The Ink Pad to spend the day with Anna! What an absolutely lovely day I had in Manhattan at The Ink Pad with Barbara yesterday! The weather was gorgeous, sunny and warm. We had a steady flow of customers including a homeless man that came in to browse. He was a little unkempt but he browsed around and seemed to enjoy his little break in the store. After work I had a little issue, sometimes it’s not easy being me! I went to go and get the subway but I had no money on my MetroCard and when I went to add to it that didn’t work either! Oops! Thankfully it was a nice night for a 50 plus block walk! LOL! I can use the exercise, believe me! I met up with Kim at her apartment and we went to get a little dinner at Baker Street, they have delicious food there. After that it was back to the apartment for a little talk before calling it a night. I’ll be at The Ink Pad with Barbara again today! Fun!

Love the simplicity of the sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed my greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Black 110lb. It’s then cut out with some  Simon Says Stamp Dies that the name escapes me of at the moment! I used the same dies to cut out a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper. Before adhering them both to the card with Foam Tape I added a few loops of DMC Metallic Gold Thread. The large star is punched out from more Black 110lb with the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents inch Pack. I added some Versa-Mark and then dipped it in Ultra Thick Embossing Powder three times. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. Two of the star stamps from the Birthday Balloons Set are stamped in Onyx Black and then a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and some Basic Jewel Rhinestones are added for a little more sparkle and shine! I love the sentiment and the mix of the rhinestones and sequins is so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wickedly cool Wednesday! 🙂
