    Mojo Monday 435

Still cold just in case you were wondering! It was way too cold to get out of bed so I slept in. I spent most of the day in the house except for a little trip to Burger King for lunch and then Stop and Shop with my friend Maureen. I got to speak to Michael for a while and when I came home Taylor and Keira were here. They were binge watching I Zombie on Netflix. After dinner I worked on some projects and then watched a few movies. I did get a nice text from my sister-in-law with a video from Daniel. I just had to share it with you! Just click the link below to load the video!

    Daniel V’day 2016

Isn’t he just the cutest! That’s my brother that you hear in the background. Oh, and Winston is back to his normal self and feeling much better! Now if I could just get him to stop sampling things in the yard!

Starting off the week right with a new Mojo Monday sketch…

    Mojo435

I promise that I will get away from reds and pinks! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes to cut out a piece of Blushing Bride for the background and adhered that to the base with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The two strips of paper are from the Pebbles Your Truly 6×6 Paper Pad and are adhered to the background with SNAIL. For the main panel I cut out a piece of Real Red with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Dies and heat embossed the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The panel is then adhered to the card with more Fun Foam and SNAIL. My flowers and leaves are from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini, Duckling and Teal Ink on Solar White 80lb and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered them to the red square with SNAIL and Foam Tape. I really love the finished edge that the Stitched Dies give to the panels and the flowers are nice and neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and add your take on the sketch to the gallery! Thank you for coming by today to spend some time with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

    Freshly Made Sketches 223

Yay for the weekend! Boo for the freezing cold! We are supposed to get down to -20 with the wind chill later on today, that is just silly! I will be crafty inside the house for the day thanks! I did have a nice full day yesterday! I stopped by Scrap-A-Latte in the morning to see Renee and get the supplies for this month’s Card Class. From there I headed out to MacArthur to pick up Sandy. We stopped at Panera and had lunch before I dropped her off at the rental car place, her car is being fixed at the moment. I came back home and checked on Winston, he’s not feeling well, he didn’t even eat breakfast. Poor guy. Taylor and Keira stopped by and gave him some love while I worked on some crafty things. I went out to dinner with Anthony and Bill so I took Winston over to my Parent’s so he wouldn’t be alone. We went to Friday’s for an early Valentine’s dinner! LOL! It was fun as always. Before they dropped me off we stopped at Target and Starbucks. The rest of the night I sat with Winnie, I hope he feels better today.

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 223

Very interesting sketch! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Dotted Next Level 3D Embossing Folder on a piece of Crumb Cake for the background and it’s adhered to the card with SNAIL. Some Black 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Devonshire Butterfly Craft Die. I smooshed it into my Versa-Mark Pad and covered it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder before heating it with my Heat Tool. I repeated the process twice to give it a little more shine. Two strips of paper from the American Crafts DIY Shop 6×6 Paper Pad are adhered to the card with SNAIL and the butterfly is adhered with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Little pieces of Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape hold that in place. I think that Dotted 3D Folder is really cool and the butterfly coated in the clear embossing powder is pretty neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for starting your weekend off with me! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

OSAT Blog Hop – Love is in the Air

    OSAT Blog Hop Banner

It’s Thursday already?! Another week is just flying by! Yesterday I FaceTimed with Andrea while we worked on our projects for today’s hop. In the afternoon Taylor and Kiera brought Winston back and we watched some movie trailers on the Apple TV before I headed over to run some errands with Heather. When I arrived at Heather’s our friend Tom was there, he is working on a project with Starbucks not too far from Heather so he had stopped by on his way home. We chatted for a bit and then Heather and I headed out to BJ’s, Target and Petco. We had some dinner at Bellagio in Farmingdale, another great local Italian restaurant. I helped haul all of Heather’s goodies into the house and we laughed about silly stuff for a while and then I headed home. Another good day!

Today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. This month we have a timely Love is in the Air theme! I do enjoy a little Valentine! If you have arrived here from Dena’s blog welcome! She always has some great stuff! I have a card and a little home decor shaker for you today so let’s get to it!

The card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Echo Park Hello Winter 12×12 Paper that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles and adhered on an angle with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The frame, Polaroid Camera and Greetings are from the Lawn Fawn #awesome Photopolymer Stamp Set and are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used Copics to color in the camera along with the Hedgehogs that are from the Lawn Fawn Hedgehugs Photopolymer Stamp Set. The coordinating Lawn Cuts cut all of them out. The inside of the frame has some Audrey Blue Ink that I applied with Mini Ink Blending Tool and across the bottom is a piece of Cucumber Crush that is cut across the top with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. I adhered all of the images and greeting along with a few hearts that are cut from Real Red with the Lawn Fawn Hearts Lawn Cuts to the card with Foam Tape. A little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and Glossy Accents is added to the hearts and camera for a little more dimension. I love that little camera and the Hedgehogs are just too cute!

OSAYT Feb Blog Hop Card -WM

The second item that I have for you is a little heart shaker ornament. I cut out the heart from Ivory 110lb along with some Fun Foam and Acetate with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. All of them are adhered to each other with Scor-Tape. Before adhering the back side on I filled the heart with Martha Stewart Iridescent Hearts and Stars Glitter and added the Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon so I could hang it up. The coffee cup (I think my all time favorite stamp!) is from the Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I stamped the little red heart from the set in Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red and adhered the cup to the acetate with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in Vellum and cut out with my Paper Snips. I used a tiny piece of Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhere that in place. Finally a few of the sequins from the Crate Paper Hello Love Sequin Assortment are adhered to the outside of the heart with Bling Glue Dots. I do really love that little coffee cup and the double acetate makes it so you can see thought the shaker part which I think is really neat!

It turned out to be a really nice day here yesterday! The sun was shining and I went over to Sue’s to do some more Etsy stuff. We had Panera for lunch and got loads of stuff done! I love a nice productive day! When I got home Daniel was at my parent’s and he was in a bad mood so I came home and Taylor and Keira stopped by. They took Winston to Michaels, he got lots of attention! Here he is sitting in the cart…

    Win Michaels Cart

They even put a blanket in there. They also decided that they would take him for the night to Keira’s house, Taylor got him a new baby so I couldn’t say no. I have to admit, I miss him being the door monitor! I did stop back over at the ‘rents for some chili and Daniel was in a much better mood, I even got a big hug and a kiss along with an I love you so much Uncle Justin, doesn’t get better than that! The rest of the evening I had quality time with Chip and Joanna on Fixer Upper.

Wednesday and it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

    PCCCS181 DT Sketch 2-11-2016

I needed a card that had nothing to do with Valentine’s day! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used some Heidi Swapp Citron Color Shine to splatter on the card front. Across the bottom is a piece of Black 110lb with a piece of Washi Tape across the bottom and on top of that is a piece of Craft Smith Holiday Glitter Paper. My panel is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card, I heat embossed the phrase from the Simon Says Stamp One with Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. It’s stamped repeatedly and offset a bit. Then it was time for some Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink that I applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. The leaves and tree are from the same set and are also heat embossed on Watercolor Card in Clear. I used Twisted Citron Distress Ink to watercolor the images and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Some SNAIL adheres all of the greenery to the card. My greeting is cut from Black 110lb three times with the Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Wafer Die and adhered together with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, some Multi-Matte Medium adheres it to the card. To give it a little sparkle I adhered some Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray and Green from the Christmas Mix Sequins to the panel. I always love a little spatter and the Distress Ink is so great to work with, you can do so much with it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the blog and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you, as always for stopping by! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

    SIP Challenge 34 – Love!

Happy Tuesday peeps! We got some more snow here, it actually started snowing early yesterday morning and still hasn’t stopped! Ugh! Enough with the snow already! LOL! I had a nice day yesterday with my friend Sue! We got lots more stuff ready for Etsy and had a nice lunch at the Deli. I came home and had dinner with my Parents and then FaceTimed with Andrea while I made my card for today. Before calling it a night I watched a little TV to have a little wind down. I’ll be back over to Sue’s tomorrow to finish up!

Its time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a timely Love theme…

    SIP Challenge 34 - Love 800

Just in time for Sunday! My card base today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a piece of paper from the Recollections Valentine’s Day 6×6 Paper Pad to make my banner. The heart is some Tim Holtz Watercolor Card that I heat embossed my sentiment onto from the Simon Says Stamp Paper Hug Photopolymer Stamp Set with some Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The heart is then cut out with the Lawn Fawn Fawn Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. I used Candied Apple Distress Ink to watercolor the card, making the greeting stand out. A little spritz with my Mini Mister and then some paper towel to pick it up and the heart is finished. I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The little gold hearts are cut from Gold Foil Sheet using the Simon Says Stamp Mini Hearts Outline Wafer Dies. I adhered them to the card with 2-Way Glue. I love the watercolored heart and the tiny outline hearts are so neat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Love Theme Challenge! We hope to see some of your cards in the gallery and for a little extra inspiration check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG! Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your Tuesday! 🙂

Concord & 9th at The Ink Pad

What a night I had! Yesterday I dropped the Chrysler off at the store for Renee and Brian picked me up and dropped me off at Heather’s. I went with her to get her haircut and see if I could get mine cut too. I got an appointment at 2:30, in the mean time I ran and got us lunch. Heather dropped me off at my house and I went and ate lunch at my parent’s so I could see Daniel for a bit. After that I cut for class and then went and got my haircut, completely new and funky, I needed a change! Back home to get my stuff together and head for the train. When I got to The Ink Pad Anna told me that channel 4 news was at the store and that she would be on the 5:00 news! She’s a little celebrity now! I helped Anna out with some stuff at the store and then got ready for class. We had a great time as always and Jamey even brought a friend that was a first timer! When I went to lock up the store the gate wouldn’t come down. I tried all sorts of things and couldn’t get it to work. I called Anna and her brother-in-law came by and had to pull it down. In the mean time Renee called to tell me that the car overheated and all of the antifreeze leaked out when she got home. By the time I got to Penn to get the train it was 10:45. So I’m here at the Scrap-A-Latte this morning and will have to go wth dad later to see what’s up with the car. Sigh… how’s that for a Friday! 🙁

So I had no time to make a card and didn’t have an extra, but I do have the cards from class! We made four cards, a birthday, friendship, just because and a thank you. All of the stamps are Concord & 9th, I have listed the sets below and all of the supplies used to make them. I hope that you like the cards as much as the class did! Thank you so much for sharing in another one of my fun filled days! LOL! Have a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

    Freshly Made Sketches 221

Happy Friday peeps! Yesterday I ended up covering the store for Renee, she needs a day off every once in a while. I worked on a mixed media project while I was there and I hope to get to finish it today. This morning I have to clean out the old car and take it to it’s new owner. I had some good times in that car and it will be missed. I also have to get ready for my card class at The Ink Pad tonight. That will be fun as always. After Scrap-A-Latte I went to Heather’s for thirsty Thursday, loads of laughs with my peeps! One of my favorite evenings of the week! Not sure what’s on for the weekend, how about you?

Today’s card that I have for you is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 221

I used some goodies from this month’s Simon Says Stamp Card Kit to make it! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For the background I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Hello, Love 6×6 Paper Pad and adhered it to the card with SNAIL. I cut out another piece of Black 110lb with two of the dies along with a piece of Vellum. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hello, Beautiful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the Vellum. The frame is then adhered to the Vellum and I used some Foam Tape around the back of the frame to create the space for my shaker. A few Crate Paper Hello, Love Sequins Hearts are placed on the card and the frame is adhered over the top. I think that funky paper is pretty cool and I love how the vellum makes all of it so subtle! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks so much for coming by and have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

    SIP Challenge 32 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

There is still snow everywhere around here! The LIRR Had major issues this morning and I’m thankful that I wasn’t one of the commuters that had to wait upwards of three hours for a train! I re-dug my car out with the help of dad and his snowblower, let’s hope that it stays like that! The rest of my day was spent looking for the title to my old car, which I never found but I did go onto the DMV site and ordered a new one. I choose express delivery and it should be here Wednesday morning! I’ll believe that when I see it! LOL! I also watched the second of the X-Files last night, just as good as the first one! After that there was a new show called Lucifer on and I liked that one too! Today I’m going venture out of the house and get in the car, the first time since Friday, so unlike me! I’ll let you know how that goes tomorrow!

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a fun Love Tic-Tac-Toe from Sandy…

SIP Tic Tac Toe 32 800

I went down the middle but hit a few others along the way! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I spattered a piece of Black 110lb with some Heidi Swapp Gold and White Color Shine and then adhered it to the card base. My heart is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card Stock that I cut out using the Lawn Fawn Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. The greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Paper Hug Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Some Ranger Candied Apple Distress Ink is applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool and then I flicked some water onto the heart. After waiting about 20 seconds I used a dry paper towel to pick it up. The arrow is a piece of Gold Foil Sheet that I cut out with the Reverse Confetti Arrow Confetti Cuts Die, I snipped it in two and adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The heart is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins. I love the look that the water gives to the heart and the nice way that red pops against the black! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and don’t forget to show us some love and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you very much for coming by today! • Triple Starburst Birthday

    Triple Starburst Birthday

Hi there! I think that Snowmageddon 2016 has finally come to an end. It snowed here all day and we got about 30 inches. 29 inches more than I care for! I think the worst part was the wind, you couldn’t even stand outside. Poor little Winston didn’t know what to do, the snow was way higher than him! Everyone was told to stay off the roads from 2:30pm yesterday until sometime this morning. The Long Island Rail Road along with Metro North and any above ground subways were also closed. I spent all day in the house watching moves and crafting. I did venture over to my parent’s for dinner, mum made the most delicious chicken soup! Today I will attempt to dig out my poor car, that should be loads of fun! Here is a picture of my parents backyard…

    Snowmageddon 2016

That was around 6:00 and it snowed for at least another 8 hours. I will say it again, I’m not a fan of Winter!

One of the cards that I made yesterday is today’s card, a nice masculine birthday card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For my background I used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Background Stamp and heat embossed it on a piece of Smoky Slate with Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. It’s then adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. My stars are cut out from some Basic Gray, Black 110lb and Bronze 80lb with the Spellbinders Shining Star Die. I ran it through twice, once to cut it out and then again with the Beige Embossing Mat. The bottom two are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the top bronze one with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Bokeh Photopolymer Stamp Set and it’s stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black. I love that Silver Pearl Embossing Powder, it looks so cool on the Smoky Slate! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you very much for stopping by, wish me luck on digging out! Have a Super Sunday! 🙂

    Freshly Made Sketches 220

Yay for Friday! The end of another busy week! I had a great time with my friend Sue yesterday! We had some bagels for lunch and then stopped in Marshall’s before heading back to her house to finish up some Etsy stuff! From there I headed over to Heather’s so I could take apart the old bed, which took no time at all! We ran to BJ’s to get some goodies for Thirsty Thursday and then went back to Heather’s to get ready for Kim and Stephanie to come over. We laughed and watched Lip Sync Battle, really enjoy that show! This morning it’s off to IKEA with Heather and Brian to pick up the new bed, back to Heather’s to drop it off and then into Manhattan to drop off the table and chairs to Kim’s. We are going to stop and get some lunch before heading back home. I’ll put the bed together and then come home and hopefully get crafty!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 220

My card base is cut to 3 3/4″ wide so I could let some stuff hang off the edge and still fit it into a standard envelope! It’s the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I used the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Spaced Hearts Stencil along with some Candied Apple Distress Ink and my Mini Ink Blending Tool to create the nice subtle background. Up in the left corner is a piece of American Crafts Red Glitter Paper that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Sketch Heart Craft Die. I also cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb and used some Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhered them to each other to make the heart a bit sturdier. A piece of Black 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Scribble Heart and Arrow Wafer Die. I used some Versa-Mark and Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder to give it the Licorice look and adhered them both to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Encouragement Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black Ink next to the heart. Finally some Pretty Pink Posh Valentine Mix and Onyx Sequins are added for a little extra sparkle! I still love that Scribble Heart Die and it goes so well with the Arrow! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for taking some time to come by and see me today! Have an absolutely Fantastic Friday! 🙂
