SIP Challenge 179 – Holidays!

Hey there… remember me?! LOL! I have been away for a bit but I have a few things to post this week so hopefully you’ll join me! Got a little inspiration last night, finally! I have been keeping busy helping my friend Kelly redo her bathroom and spending time with the kiddos! Over the weekend I went into Manhattan with Jim, Kim, Brian, Izzy, Kevin, Krissy and Brooke to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. It was great and we had so much fun! This weekend I have a Holiday party to go to, that should be a good time! My tree is up but I haven’t done any shopping! Gotta get on that! How are your Holiday plans going?! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday so time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I used a new stamp set and an older one from Concord & 9th to make a fun simple card! I started by stamping the face and greeting from the Concord & 9th Winter Wear Photopolymer Stamp Set onto a piece of Solar White 80lb in Amalgam Ink using my Mini MISTI so I could stamp it twice. On a separate piece I stamped the scarf. The images are colored in with Copics, mine are in desperate need of refills and new nibs as you can see from the shading! The scarf is cut out with the coordinating Concord & 9th Winter Wear Dies. My snowflakes are from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Merman Ink. I adhered the stamped panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and added the scarf with Thin 3D Foam Squares. For a little sparkle I added Hero Arts Clear Gems to some of the snowflake centers and used Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Brush Pen over the scarf! A fun card that would be easy to mass produce! Stamp some and take markers or pencils with you and color on the go! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Holidays Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 175 – Gratitude!

Hello my friends! It was a dreary Monday and that has continued into a dreary Tuesday. A good day to stay in and get some stuff done around the house. The kiddos are off from school and wanted to spend the day at my parents so I’ll have them tomorrow. I did go over and have breakfast with them this morning. Now to get some stuff done here! ๐Ÿ˜€

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I felt like doing some heat embossing so I did just that… and a lot! My background is created using the Concord & 9th Deck the Halls Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I put it into my MISTI and used Versa-Mark to stamp it each time onto a piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock. It’s coated with Hero Arts Gold, Platinum, Copper and Brass Embossing Powder and heat set then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My card is a piece of lighter Grey 110lb Card Stock and I adhered the background to the front. For my greeting I used the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Dies to cut out the grateful from three pieces of Grey 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Before adding it to the card I used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some sparkle. A pretty simple card with a big impact thanks to all of that metallic embossing powder! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Gratitude Challenge! Check out the rest of Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your take with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 149

Hello friends and a very happy Friday to you! I had a nice day yesterday tile shopping with my friend Kelly. We picked out the shower, wall, floor and shower pan tile for her new bathroom and stopped at Chick-fil-a for lunch. After that I cleaned a little and watched some movies for the rest of the night. I’m off to see the kiddos and my windshield is being replaced today. Tristan and I will hit up McDonald’s for lunch later… if she’s good! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

On another fun note it’s time for a new challenge over on the Fab Friday blog…

I was inspired by this card that Debby Hughes had done the other day. I loved the colors that she used and I just felt like stamping a background myself! I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set andย Soft Pool, Wet Cement, Pumpkin Pie Dye and Mulled Wine Hybrid Ink along with my Mini MISTI so I could stamp the images more than once to make them nice and crisp. The veining in the leaves is all stamped in Cup O Joe and then the background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies. I added it to a circle cut from 65lb Vellum using the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Nested Frame Cuts Dies with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The circle is then adhered to the card with thin slivers of 3M Foam Tape. A little bling was needed in the form of Little Things by Lucyย Shimmering Pool Jewels and The Colors of Fall Sequin Mix! Love the colors of the leaves! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 172 – Sketch!

Monday done! How did you all fare?! I did pretty good. Daniel was good as always and Tristan wasn’t the little she devil that she has become! LOL! It was rainy here most of the day yesterday but should be nice today. I snuck into Manhattan on Saturday to go and see my friend Kim and then went to October Fest at the Firehouse with Kim and Brian. Saturday was the first day that I wore pants since April!! I’m not liking that fact! It’s getting chilly and that means that my least favorite season is coming! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

My card is super simple! I used the Concord & 9th Snowflake Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp and some Soft Pool Ink with my MISTI to create my background. I stamped each turn twice to make the ink a little more intense. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum. To cut it out I used the Concord & 9th Lovely Blossoms Dies. I adhered my background to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then added the sentiment with teeny tiny pieces of 3M Foam Tape. All that was left was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins. Like I said, simple but the heat embossing gives it a little oomph! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

I’m back! LOL! Here with my post for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th. This time we have a Layers challenge…

Lately I have been really into more clean cards but who doesn’t love a few layers to give a little wow to your project?! I started my card by stamping the Deck the Halls Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Lime Green, Soft Cantaloupe, Tide Pool and Soft Granite Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with my MISTI. It’s trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My greeting is from the Very Merry Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum. I wrapped it around the stamped panel and added it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my tag I used the Holiday Cheer Tags Dies and some more Solar White 80lb. I also used the ornament die to cut out the negative from the center of the tag holder. Onto the tag I stamped the ornament from the Holiday Cheer Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lime Green and added the topper cut from a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. A piece of American Crafts Lime Green Twine is tied through the top and the tag is added to the card. It needed just a little sparkle and to take care of that I scattered some Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Gems.

I love the colors and the pop of the white tag and sentiment against the bright background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Layers Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so head on over and check it out! We hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by again today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 171 – Fall Florals!

Hey there everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! Mine was great up in PA! We all had a blast with deck parties and dinners. We really made sure that the technical last weekend for the season was a great one! We also left early yesterday and really didn’t hit much traffic on the way home which is always the best way to finish a long weekend. I’m off to see the kiddos today, what are you up to?! ๐Ÿ˜€

I will have two posts for you today and my first one is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I haven’t used my COPICS in a long time and I just felt like coloring so I stamped the large floral spray from the Concord & 9th Grateful for Everything Photopolymer Stamp Set in Amalgam Ink and set about doing some really simple COPIC coloring. Once I was finished I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My card base is 8″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half. The sentiment is from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Amalgam Ink onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and attached it to my card base with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. My floral spray is added with the same. To give it a little extra I used my Stylus and some Forever Green Ink to add dots around the image. I love the simplicity and the bright pop of the flowers! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping buy this morning! I’ll be back before lunch with my Design Team post for the new Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th challenge! I hope that you’ll come back for that! Until then, enjoy your morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 147

Another early day with the kiddos but it’s Friday!! I spent the day on Wednesday looking for a new clothes dryer. We have some scratch and dent places around here but most of the stuff there looked like it fell off of the back of a truck doing about 80 MPH! LOL! I settled on a new one, it ended up only being about $100 more than one of the banged up ones. Not sure what’s going on for the weekend, but that’s ok, I do like a surprise from time to time! ๐Ÿ˜€

In my effort to try and get back into creating mode I have a card to share with you today for the new Fab Friday challenge…

More fun with the new release from Concord & 9th! I started my card by heat embossing the large snowflake from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set twice in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Blue Print Curious Metallic and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Set and is heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Steel Navy Embossing Powder onto a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic. I added a few of the snow flakes and then used the rectangle die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut it out. I also cut it from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to frame it. The snowflake is adhered to a card base of Solar White 110lb. I used another die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut out the pine branches from Gold Metallic 27lb Vellum. Some 3M Foam Tape is added to the back of the greeting and the pine branches are added tot he back before it’s added to the card. To finish it off I scattered some Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins and a few Hero Arts Clear Gems. I love that Steel Navy Embossing Powder and the blue and gold together! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and get some more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! SIP Challenge 168 – Tic-Tac-Toe

Hi there! Did you all have a nice weekend?! I did! Saturday night I had dinner with Jim and Sunday I went into Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary and then met up with Kim. We had a quick lunch and then she took me to see the final performance of the play Carousel on Broadway for my Birthday! It was a beautiful day too so we wandered around a bit. I ended up walking seven miles! A good weekend indeed! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went diagonally from the bottom left to the top right! I started my card by stamping the background using the Concord & 9th Happy Plaids Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman and Freshly Cut Grass using my MISTI onto Solar White 80lb. Next I die cut the tag and pocket from Kraft and Vellum. Onto both I heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & with Holiday Cheer Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. A piece of Fun Foam is adhered to the back of the Vellum pocket. I added Gold Thread and some pine that I die cut from Noble Fir using a die from the Concord & 9th Happy Holidays Label Dies. For my card base I added a piece of Kraft to Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is adhered and then the tag. A simple and fun card using my favorite colors for the Holidays! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! You can stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and we hope to see your card in the gallery! Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Color Inspiration!

Hello there my friends! I hope that you are enjoying your weekend! It’s a little rainy here so I have been spending some time cleaning out the Stampin’ Galley. I’ll be participating in a craft sale on September 22nd in Oceanside to help with my ongoing purge! I’ll share more details with you as we get closer! I think that there are 12 of us in total so there will be some great goodies for sale! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

Some nice soft Fall colors! I started my card by creating the background using the Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp and my MISTI. It’s stamped in Mint Julep and Cup O Joe onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I used the Lovely Blossoms Dies to cut out a piece of Calypso Coral and Early Espresso. I adhered the Calypso Coral die cut to another piece of Calypso Coral and used Glue Tube to add back in the you are lovely and frame. The excess is trimmed off with my Scissors. The tails are two pieces of Wood Textures 6×6 Paper. I added them behind the die cut and the added a piece of Fun Foam. To soften the background a bit I trimmed a piece of Vellum to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and and added that to the back of the die cut and then adhered the whole thing to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Espresso, Lemon Drop and Lime Sorbet Sequins and a die cut flower also from the Lovely Blossoms Dies cut from a piece of So Saffron complete the card!

Thankful Leaf – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Happy September! Hopefully the warm weather stays around for a while longer even though technically the Summer is over. I had a great week up at the lake last week, a nice way to end the Summer for sure. I started watching my Niece and Nephew again, Daniel goes to full day kindergarten so it’s just me and Tristan for most of the day. I’m not looking forward to the cooler weather at all! How bout you?! ๐Ÿ˜€

Itโ€™s time for my August Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! The Thankful Leaves Dies are definitely my favorite from last month’s release! I love that leaf die so I used it again on today’s card. I was watching one of Jennifer McGuire’s videos and decided that I wanted to try one of her shadowbox cards! I did all of the steps to make the box for the card using Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the die cut inside I used just the outline of the Leaf Die. For my background I stamped the Thankful Leaves Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Freshly Cut Grass and a Sunflower, twice with each color, onto Solar White 80lb. The panel is trimmed to fit inside the card. On the front of the card I used the Leaf Die again with the inside piece to cut out some Lime Glitter Paper from the Summer Glitter Paper Pack. It’s adhered to the card front with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Along the bottom I stamped the THANKFUL, also from the Thankful Leaves Turnabout in Freshly Cut Grass. To go inside my die cut leaf on the inside of the card I used a piece of Heat Resistant Acetate and heat embossed another greeting in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the back of the die cut panel with Scor-Tape. All that was left to do was assemble the card. I’ll definitely be making more shadowbox cards, love the way they look!

I hope that you like the card for my September Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on September 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!!
