Golden Beautiful Flowers

Oh how I do enjoy a day in Manhattan even when it’s overcast! I got the 8:11am into Penn and stopped at Starbucks before going to see my friends Jim and Diane. We have a very nice visit, they are such awesome people! After that I wandered over to Kim’s apartment, her friend is up visiting this weekend so we all took a nice long walk along the river. Even though it was overcast it was still pretty warm which was nice. On the way back we stopped at BurgeFi and had lunch. Delicious! Especially the huge onion rings! I took the 5:12pm back out to the Island and when I got home I watched some TV. Today it’s back to the Store for another fun filled Sunday! I did take a few pictures to share with you…

The 59th Street Bridge and

The inside of the new 2nd Avenue Subway at 72nd Street! 😀

Today I have yet another stamped background card to share with you! I stamped the images from the Hero Arts Let Love Grow Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Butter Bar, Lime Green, Fresh Peach and Intense Black Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of 48lb Vellum. I adhered the Vellum around the back of the stamped panel. On my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape down the left side and then adhered the stamped panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. It needed just a little something more so I added some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the flower centers and then called it done! I really do like (as you can tell) the stamped backgrounds. They make for a nice simple, quick card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for sharing in my Sunday! Have an epic day! 🙂

OSAT February Blog Hop – All You Need is Love!

It was sooooooo nice out yesterday! We made it up to 62 degrees! I had to go out to the bank and I had the pleasure of having the top down in the car! In February! What?!?! Well, never fear, today we are to get up to 12 inches of snow! Insane weather! I would of course prefer to do a repeat of yesterday! I made sure thatI was nice and productive at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, we are closed today. They have told everyone to make sure that if they don’t need to travel to stay home. I think that I will get some more organizing done today, it’s a good day to do it! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Jeanna Bohanon, welcome! This month we have a All You Need is Love theme! Ahh… who doesn’t like a little love?! I have a card and coordinating gift box for you today!

I used the same stamp set on both the card and the gift box. To create them I heat embossed the flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder onto three pieces of Solar White 80lb, one so that I could cut out the large flowers. For the card I also stamped the greeting from the set in Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink. On the cut out flowers I added a little Prismacolor Colored Pencils to the petals. For the gift box I used the Lawn Fawn Pillow Box Lawn Cut to cut out the paper and adhered it together with Scor-Tape. I adhered the background for the card to a piece of Shale Card Stock and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The cut out flowers are adhered to the card and to the gift box with 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are done! I love that Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder and the flowers and leaves from the Hello Lovely Set look great left as is, colored in or stamped with the addition layers!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and gift box  for the OSAT All You Need is Love Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to see what the talented Dena Rekow has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 230

We are to have some wacky weather here for the next two days! Today it’s going to be in the 60’s and tomorrow we are to get up to 10 inches of snow! Mother Nature needs to get it together! LOL! I did had a very productive day at the Store yesterday! My friend Sue came by and we got so much accomplished! We moved things around and cataloged a bunch of stuff. We also got to FaceTime with Michael and met his newest dog, she’s so cute. After work I had dinner and then came home and did a little more organizing and some relaxing! Today, maybe I will get to drive to work with the top down and tomorrow I probably won’t be able to get to work! Crazy! 😀

Midweek and time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

It’s that Love time of year! Hope you aren’t sick of all of the love on the blog! LOL! I wanted to use the die cut that I had left over from the card that I made the other day, you can see it HERE. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Alphabet Soup Bold Prints Background in Soft Pink onto a piece of Solar white 80lb. Next I took some more Soft Pink Ink and added it to the back of a piece of 48lb Vellum, using my Heat Tool to dry it in between layers and then cut it out with the Hero Arts Nesting Infinity Hearts Dies. I adhered the love die cut with Multi-Matte Medium to the Vellum heart and then added some more behind the letters to adhere it to the stamped background panel. The left side is trimmed off. A piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape is adhered down the left side of the card base and then the panel is adhered to card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. For a little extra sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I really like the love die cut stamped with the flowers and the soft pink heart is neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Mojo Monday 483

Well, my Sunday didn’t start off as planned, I woke up at 6:00am with a massive headache, I text Renee to tell her I would be late, took Excedrin and went back to bed. Thankfully when I finally woke up around noon it had gone. I had to make the dip for the Super Bowl Party so I went over to Heather’s and did that. We picked up Stephanie and drove out to Islip for the party. We had a great time and the people that hosted it were really nice! I got to spend some time with my peeps and I enjoyed the Half-Time Show! Today I have lots to catch up on at the Store. One day not being there isn’t a good thing! 😀

The one thing that I really like about Monday’s is the fact that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I had the flower for today’s card sitting on my desk so I decided that it needed to get used! For the card base I used a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front with a piece of Slate. To create my background I stamped the flower outline from the Altenew Beautiful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set in Evening Gray Crisp Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. Next I heat embossed the leaf outline in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another piece of Slate. Across the lower half of the card is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card. The flower and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is also from the Beautiful Day Set and is heat embossed in more White onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used a strip of Rose Chintz with a thin strip of the Silver Glitter Card and some more 3D Foam Squares to hold down the vellum. I love the way the grays really let the flower stand out on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Sending You Flowers

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! I’m in it for the commercials and the Half-Time show! LOL! I had a fun day at the Store! Taylor came by to visit and so did Heather! Heather brought Starbucks with her, bonus points! I made a few cards and got some other things done too, a very productive day! After work I had Chinese with my Parents and then came home and cleaned out my bedroom closet. Can’t take all of the clutter any longer, everything must go! Today Renee has a Super Bowl Crop and I have a party to go to later with Heather. Should be a fun day! 😀

Before I get to today’s post one of our blog friends Ann left in the comments yesterday that her sister works in hospice care and one of the residents is turning 104!! She asked that if anyone has time if they could send a card to wish Miss Irene a Happy Birthday! Lets see how many cards we can get to her! You can send the cards to:

Karen Powell
13 Branch Street
Suite 100
Methuen, MA 01844

Thanks in advance!!

I have a fun sort of single layer card to share with you today. I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock and cut it to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored it at 5 1/2. I made a few masks and then stamped the flowers and leaves from the Hero Arts For You Flowers Color Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Pink, Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Lime Green on the card front. I skipped the second layer on the leaves. After that was finished I die cut the love from the Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut Set from the card front. The card was placed into my Mini MISTI and I lined up the love stamp, opened the card and stamped it in Intense Black three times to get a nice crisp impression on the inside of the card. The centers of the o and e are glued to the inside of the card with my Quickie Glue Pen. I added the rest of the greeting to the front and one to the inside with more Intense Black. All that was left to do was to adhere a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets with some Multi-Matte Medium and the card is finished! I really “love” the negative die cut card front and then the inside of the card! Looks complicated but was actually really simple and fun! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me and enjoy the game! (or commercials and half-time! LOL!) 🙂

Fab Friday 105

Yay! It’s Friday! We had a busy week at the Stores. Today was Home Decor Project make up day and I had my Make-n-Take. There was also an impromptu Cricut class, I now have taught myself how to use one! LOL! When I got home I had a little dinner with the Parent’s and then watched some TV. Today, projects as always! Wouldn’t have it any other way! 😀

It’s a double good Friday because it’s time for another Fab Friday challenge…

I have been on a little bit of a Spring /Summer kick lately I know, but I can’t wait for the Winter to be over! The base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Bo Bunny Double Dot paper that I found while rummaging through one of Renee’s paper bins. I also cut a piece with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Lawn Cut and adhered it across the bottom with some 3D Foam Squares. Next up I used Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Spiced Marmalade and my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add color to a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. It’s cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies with the right side trimmed off before being adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The flamingo is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Pink, Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink, Pale Tomato, White Dye and Intense Black using my Mini MISTI. I adhered him to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Intense Black with the right side cut at an angle. I added a piece of Black and then adhered the greeting to the card with still more 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to add some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Holiday Shimmer Mix Sequins and the card is finished! I love the nice bold green with the bright yellow and orange behind the bright pink of the flamingo! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 329

The sun really made an effort to stay out yesterday! All in all it was a nice day especially at the Store. Renee and I worked on projects, I got another two cards made including one for next week’s Make-n-Take! I stopped by my Parent’s after work to retrieve Winston and then came home and waited for my friend Danielle to come by. We talked for hours and got all caught up and then headed out to have Five Guys for dinner. After that a quick stop at Starbucks and then more talk! It was so great to get all caught up! I miss her so much! We are going to make an effort to make sure that we get together more often. Today, more projects and orders! 😀

One of my crafty sessions yesterday produced my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! But before we get to this week’s I want to thank Sandy for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

As soon as I saw the sketch the card took shape in my little brain! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Prints Background in Hero Arts White Dye Ink onto a piece of Kraft. Across the bottom is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card Stock. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. That along with the flowers and leaves are from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and the leaves in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, both onto 48lb Vellum. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out and adhered the flowers to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape and the leaves with Dot Runner Adhesive. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I love the flowers embossed on the Vellum and the subtle background! I think this would make a perfect card for a Wedding! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for your visit today! Have an incredible Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 84 – Tic-Tac-Toe from LeAnne!

Now that was a busy Monday! I got my Lawn Fawn Pre-Order all tallied up and sent off. Renee and I worked on ideas for upcoming fun at the Stores. I got lots accomplished too thanks to Renee, she has the ability to reel me in! LOL! After work I had dinner with my Parent’s and Taylor and did a little laundry. Today, more planning! Oh, and some snow later, grrr! 😀

Today is Tuesday so that means it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I got some new goodies from Sunny Studios and I used one of my personal faves on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Moonstone Blue and across the lower half is a piece of Photoplay This Guy 12×12 Paper. I also cut a piece of the This Guy Paper out with the Lawn Fawn Large and Small Stitched Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts to create a frame. My “rug” is a piece of Authentique 12×12 Paper that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The images and greeting are from the Sunny Studios That Sucks Photopolymer Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. I stamped the vacuum in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. Inside the frame I adhered a piece of Chinese Red and heat embossed the sentiment in hero Arts White Embossing Powder with the end of the sentiment also heat embossed, in the lower right of the card. The “suck” is die cut from Black and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. I added some Hemptique Black & White Baker’s Twine for my cord and adhered the vacuum with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins and three Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars complete the card! I really do love the little sad vacuum and the sentiment is great! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge from LeAnne! Stop by the BLOG and take a look at all of the cards the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

Sweet Mint Chocolate Chip Birthday

Crop days are always fun at the Store! It was Chevonne’s Birthday so we had cake! My friend Louis came by to show me his new Honda CR-V, so good to see him! I got to discuss This is Us with Linda! My friend Michelle stopped by too, so nice to see her! She picked up a few goodies and I can’t wait to see what she makes with them! After work I came home and went over to my Parent’s and spent some time with them, my Brother, Erika, Daniel, Tristan and Taylor! I even got a little group selfie…

Yes, I look a little bit like a fool, trying to get Tristan to smile! They are such good little kids! After that it was home to do a little organizing! Today is the last day to place your Lawn Fawn Pre-Order with the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! You can click HERE to go to the Collection! Tonight I’ll be getting the order ready! Can’t wait to get all those new goodies into the Store! 😀

For some reason I had a craving for mint chocolate chip ice cream yesterday so I decided that the card version would be a lot less calories! I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the ice cream and cones onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and an extra one for the main image. To stamp them I used Mint Julep, Tide Pool, Soft Brown and Cup O Joe. The single one is cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. My stamped background is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I cut a piece of 48lb Vellum to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and heat embossed the sentiment in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The die cut ice cream and cone is adhered to the Vellum with 3D Foam Squares and then I added more behind it to adhere it to the card. I love the way the Vellum really softens the busy stamped background and highlights the single come and greeting! I hope that you like my card for today! I thank you for coming by and wish you a nice easy Sunday! 🙂

Paper Players 328

Hello my peeps! What a nice day I had yesterday in Manhattan! Well, except for the 40 minutes that I spent stuck in between stations on the Subway. Thankfully I had my AirPods and some good music to get me through that! Ella was lovely as always. We had a very good discussion about Politics. From there I headed down to The Ink Pad to see Anna. We had a good time as we always do! When I left the store to go to Penn Station I realized that all I had all day was a Venti Soy Vanilla Latte! Oops! I did have dinner with my Parent’s when I got home and then ran to Target with Heather. A little This is Us and then bed. Renee is off today and I have two peeps coming in for a card class this morning, that will be fun! 😀

Don’t forget, if you haven’t taken advantage of the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store Lawn Fawn New Release Pre-Order you have until Sunday to do so! Save 20% and get FREE shipping on orders over $50! You can click HERE to see the collection and used LFCHAPRE17 when you check out!

Today I have a super clean and simple card to share with you for this week’s Paper Players challenge! But before we get to that I want to thank Nance for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s challenge badge…

This may the the cleanest card I have ever made! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the rose and leaves from the Altenew Penned Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. To give the card just a little color I used a Copic to color in the back side of the leaves. The Coordinating dies are used to cut them out and some Multi-Matte Medium adheres them to the card. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right. It needed some sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I do love the softness of the card and all of the whitespace! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players CAS Flowers Challenge! Thanks for stopping by! Have a tremendous Thursday! 🙂
