Freshly Made Sketches 316

A chilly good day to you! It’s definitely feeing like Winter here today. Chilly but sunny. I managed to get most of my list accomplished yesterday. Jim came by and we had a nice dinner and then watched TV. This morning I’m at his house waiting for the dishwasher repair guy to come. It’s Thursday so I’ll get to see the girls later! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you. Before we get to it I want thank Jen M for choosing me for her Prince for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

I started my card by stamping the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background Stamp onto a piece of Solar White 110lb with Tide Pool Ink. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder using the Hero Arts Happy Happy Christmas Wood Mount Stamp. I wanted some gold around the edge of the card base so I took my Versa-Mark Pad and pressed it along the bottom and left edge. Some more Gold Embossing Powder is added and heat set. My background is then adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for extra sparkle and the card is done! Love the simplicity and the gold with the teal! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 271

A somewhat gloomy day here yesterday weather wise but those are good days to get stuff done! I completed a bunch of things in the morning, including getting some gifts ordered. Taylor came by around 5:00 and took Cali over to my Parent’s to have dinner with them. I ran out to a few stores with Heather and got some more gifts out of the way. Heather made a quick dinner and when I got home Cali was over at my Parent’s because my Mum didn’t like that she was alone! I think someone really likes the little dog! This morning I have some cleaning to do and then Jim will be by later for dinner. ๐Ÿ˜€

I squeezed in a card lasst night and it’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I definitely took a simple approach! I started by stamping the Hero Arts Snowy Scene Wood Mount Stamp in Hero Arts Lilac to Grape Purple Ombre Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and trimming it so it had no border. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb with a piece of Silver Glitter Card adhered on the left. The panel is then added to a card base of Solar white 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I used some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered to the card. I still love that Snowy Scene stamp, it’s perfect for making a quick card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! You can see more inspiration over on the BLOG and be sure to share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 126 – Grateful, Thankful, Blessed!

A quiet Monday! Who could ask for anything more?! I did get a few things done around the house and had dinner with the ‘rents. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to visit my friend Anna at The Ink Pad! It has been way too long since I have seen her and the shop! Should be a fun day!! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I have been seeing a lot of cards with colored pencil on dark cardstock lately so I needed to give it a go! To create my background I stamped the leaf from the Simon Says Stamp One with Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto Battleship Gray. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color the leaves in using two shades of a color for each one. My greeting is cut three times from more Battleship Gray using a die from the Simon Says Stamp with Hero Arts StampTember Thanksgiving Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the top one with more Platinum Embossing Powder and then adhered it to the two others and a strip of Vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The Vellum is then adhered around the back of the background and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins for extra bling and the card is finished! Now I know why I have seen so many cards like this, love the look of the pencil on the dark card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so stop by and don’t forget to share your card in the gallery with us! Thank you for stopping by! Have an amazing Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 371

Well hello there and a happy Monday to you! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, I certainly did! Saturday Jim and I did a little Christmas shopping and then headed over to my Brother’s house for Daniel’s 4th Birthday Party! Can you imagine that he is 4 already?! Here is a picture of the Birthday boy with his little sister…

They are just too damn cute! Daniel was a big fan of Jim, he spent the better part of a half hour hitting him with a ballon which he thought was absolutely hysterical!! We got him tickets to go and see Monster Jam in February, Jim is going to bring his Nephew too. Yesterday I did a few things in the morning, Jim stopped by on his way to a party over by my house for a quick visit. Later on Taylor came by and we watched some TV to finish the day. This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and then Sue is supposed to stop by and pick up some stuff from me! ๐Ÿ˜€

To start off the week I have a card to share with you for the Paper Players challenge…

I dug out an old set that is still one of my favorites! I stamped the pinecones from the Simon Says Stamp with Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Brown, Cup O Joe and Sand to Chocolate Brown Ombre Ink using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Die. My background is stamped in Moss Hybrid Ink using the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped the lines in Delicata Celestial Copper Pigment Ink and then used my Heat Tool to make sure they were dry. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Cozy Christmas Set and is stamped in Moss Hybrid on a strip of Solar White 80lb. I used some 3M Foam Tape to adhere to pinecones and greeting to the card and it’s done! I love those pinecones and that plaid background is definitely becoming a favorite too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for starting you week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

North Pole Fishing

Happy Friday! I had a very productive day yesterday while waiting for the new door to be installed at Jim’s house. I caught up on all of my Blog comments, all 100 of them! And yes, that took all day! LOL! When Jim came home we ran to the grocery store and then I helped him make stuffing for his lunch at work today. We also made some Shoo-Fly Pies using my Grandmother’s recipe and they came out really good! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s for a little Thirsty Thursday! Always good to see my ladies! Today I want to get some things done but as you can see by late post the morning isn’t going as planned! ๐Ÿ˜€

I did squeeze in a quick card this morning using the October My Monthly Hero Kit. To start the card I cut out a piece of Soft Sky with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The images are all from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Black. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color in the eskimo and the ice. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Pacific Point that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. A strip of Galvanized Curious Metallic goes down the left side and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the card! I love the images in the Kit, they are much easier to color in with pencils too! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for coming by for a visit and hope that you have a fabulous weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 125 – Colors!

Hi there! Still looking for Winston in the mornings, I guess I’ll be doing that for a while. I had a very quiet day yesterday, ran some errands and did some cleaning. This morning I’m going to try and get a few things organized around the house and maybe get some laundry done. Hopefully you all are having a more eventful week than me! ๐Ÿ˜€

I did spend a little time in the Stampin’ Galley yesterday and made my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

Some timely colors as the leaves are all falling off the trees around here. I do love to just do some stamping, get to use some of the plethora of inks that I have! Today’s card uses the Hero Arts September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the leaves in Just Rust, Pumpkin Pie, Butter Bar and Cup O Joe to form a wreath. I started by stamping the large Just Rust ones and then went around to make the circle. My greeting is stamped in Cup O Joe in the lower right. I have these fun leaves in the Little Things by Lucy Colors of Fall Sequins Mix so I added a few of them and the card is done. A nice simple card but still way better than anything you can get in the store, don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and get inspired to create a card to share with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting! Have an amazing Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh how I miss the Summer! Have I said that already?! And we are just getting started with the cold weather! Ugh! Getting dark at 5:00PM isn’t fun either! Ok, enough whining! LOL! What started out as a sunny day quickly turned overcast and then it started rain around 4:00 and did that for the rest of the night. I ran up to IKEA in the morning and got a few pillows for the couch. Taylor came by in then evening and that was pretty much my day. This morning I’m off to see my friend Sue for some Etsy stuff! We have added a bunch more items to the SHOP including Altenew and Concord & 9th! You should go over and take a look! ๐Ÿ˜€

For my mid-week card I have one to share with you for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I choose to go across the top row. I have been trying to make some simple Holiday cards, I really am planning on sending them out this year and if I come up with a few simple ones that will be easy to make multiples of it will happen! To start my card I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp onto a piece of Tropical Sea with Tide Pool Ink. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of 29lb Vellum. That is adhered around the back of the stamped background panel and that is then adhered to a piece of Metallic Copper Card Stock which is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The card needed a little sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. I do love the tone on tone background and the fun simple copper accents! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for some inspiration and add your card to the gallery! Thanks you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 124 – Girls Night Out!

Fall is definitely in the air, woke up to 42 degrees this morning! How many more days until Spring?! Yesterday I managed to get a lot of stuff done in the early in the day and had a nice relaxing evening. This morning I’m going to run up to IKEA to see about some throw pillows for the couch and then work on some more projects. ๐Ÿ˜€

I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you today for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

A fun challenge that Andrea and Dena came up with! I dug out my December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and some of the Add-Ons to make my card! For the background I used the Hero Arts Party Confetti Fancy Die to cut a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. That is adhered to a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic with some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My martini glass is cut from more Super Gold Curious Metallic using the Hero Arts Martini Fancy Die. I made it into a shaker and added some Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequin Mix for my bling. The greeting is from the December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from another piece of Super Gold and two pieces of Black 110lb. The are adhered together with more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All that was left to do was to add the martini glass and greeting to the card! What a fun party invitation this would make, especially for New Year’s! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Girl’s Night Out Challenge! There is lots more inspiration over on the BLOG so stop by and take a look! A very good Monday to you all! I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your weekend! I had a nice Sunday despite the gloomy weather which has continued today. Some cleaning was done in the morning and then a few errands. I finished off the day by heading over to Jim’s and finishing up a few projects, we hung the TV on the wall and I set up a new router to make the internet a little better and much faster! This morning I have a lot of stuff to get done for the Fundraiser this Sunday. The weather definitely makes it a good day to sit in front of the computer! ๐Ÿ˜€

The bells are adhered to the card and the hooks are stamped in Black Licorice and that completes the card! I do love a layering set and this one is definitely going to be a favorite!
