SIP Challenge 98 – Kid’s Birthday!

Hey all! Hope your week is off to a stellar start! I had a busy morning, I ran over to the Store to see Renee for a bit, came back home and packed up some orders, went to the Post Office and then watched some more of Blindspot! Almost through the second season! This morning I have some cleaning up to do and then I’m going to have a little lunch with Jim. 😀

I’ll have two posts for you today! This one is for the new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

Kid’s Birthday cards are always easier to make with a little Lawn Fawn! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Moonstone Blue that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables Lawn Cuts. I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders Lawn Cuts to cut out three piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered them to the card. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and then cut them out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. All that was left to do was to add some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give the card a little magical sparkle! A fun simple card to give to your favorite little prince or princess! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Make sure to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and we hope that you will take the time to share one with us in the gallery! Thank for coming by for post one for today! Special Day Florals – W Plus 9

I thought that I was going to have a nice relaxing Saturday but then things got busy! I ended up taking a trip into Manhattan to see my friends Jim and Diane and then I ran down to The Ink Pad to see Anna. By the time I got back to Penn Station it was 7:00. I got a text from my friend Chantal telling me that she was at my friend Carol’s out in Babylon for her annual Kentucky Derby Party and would I stop by. I haven’t see Carol in over two years so I took a ride out there. It was so good to catch up! I got home around 10:00 and sat down to make a quick card for today’s post… an hour later and it was finished! LOL! So much for quick! This morning I’m headed up to Nashua New Hampshire with Heather to pick up her new car! Now there is a road trip! 😀

My “quick” card that I made really didn’t take that long to make, it was deciding what to use that took the time! I settled on one of my all time favorites from W Plus 9! This set has dies that are solid so I always cut out the paper with the Coordinating Dies first and then do my stamping. All of the floral images and greeting are from the W Plus 9 Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Peachy Keen, Lobster, Sunflower, Freshly Cut Grass, Noble Fir, Fresh Lavender, Sugarplum and Black Licorice. The greeting is stamped onto another strip of Solar White 80lb. They are arranged on the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then adhered with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. It’s a very simple looking card and that greeting would work for so many different occasions! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you for checking in and have a simple but fun Sunday! 🙂

Hello Lovely Butterfly – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on May 9th! Today I’m sharing another single layer card!

For my card base I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my mask I stamped the butterfly from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal in and then stamped it again onto a Post-it Note. The one on the Post-it is cut out with my Scissors and placed over the one stamped onto the card. Next I stamped the floral cluster from the Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set Again in Narwhal along with the greeting. To color the images in I used Prismacolor Pencils. I went a little darker on the butterfly to make it stand out a bit more. It needed just a little something so I added some random dots with a Gold Sign Gel Pen. These really are two of my favorite sets from Concord & 9th and I love the way the butterfly turned out!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and that you will give masking a try! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on May 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Ahh… Friday! Thursday was pretty good, the Store was fun, had a little card class in the morning. I came home after work and got ready to go over to Jim’s for dinner. We had Tacos, I got to meet some of his peeps and we got all of the technology in the house straightened out! This morning I’m off to see the city to see my friend Mary and then have lunch with Kim! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have a new sketch for you…

Oh yes, another stamped background! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side I adhered a piece of 48lb Vellum and a strip of Rose Chintz. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Bubblegum for the happy, the Mother’s Day is stamped in Freshly Cut Grass onto a banner that is stamped from the Lawn Fawn Bannertastic Photopolymer Stamp Set in Juice Box. Mojo Monday 494

I had a nice quiet but productive Sunday. I got a bunch of cleaning done, vacuumed the inside of my car and ran a few errands wth Taylor. There was a little TV watching thrown in there too. It was a nice sunny day so being outside was a definite must. Not a terrible way to spend a Sunday! Today more fun at the Store! 😀

What’s the best way to chase away the Monday’s? Why with a new Mojo Monday Sketch of course…

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I ran a strip of Ballerina Pink, with the end flagged, down the center. Next up is a piece of Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper that I cut with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I used the Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set to create some patterned paper of my own, stamping the rose in Ballet Slippers and Minty Fresh. It’s cut out with the Lawn Fawn Large Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts. On top and to the lower left of that is a piece of Kraft that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Small Dotted Circles Stackables and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. More flowers are stamped and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the Kraft Circle with more 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Happy in Ballet Slippers and cut it out with the Coordinating Lawn Cut and the rest of the greeting is stamped in Minty Fresh onto a strip of Solar White 80lb and adhered to the card with still more 3D Foam Squares. I love the subtle look of the flower stamped in the same color for both layers! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks so much for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Floral Happy On!

Another rainy overcast day but that didn’t matter because of the crop inside the Store! I had fun as I always do! Got to spend some time with my friend Evelyn, we chatted about her upcoming trip to London and Europe. After work I came home and had some dinner. Then I decided that it was time to do some cleaning so I tackled the closet in the dining room and threw out a nice big black garbage bag of crap! Feels good to purge! Today I’m off and I don’t have a lot planned so we’ll see where the day takes me! 😀

I have yet another stamped background card to share with you today! I used the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp my background in Moonstone and Minty Fresh Ink onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. To adhered it to the card I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape and hid teeny tiny pieces behind the embossing. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is finished! As you can see I’m really enjoying the stamped backgrounds! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Perfect Pineapple

It’s the weekend peeps! What’s going on for you? There is a crop today at the Store so that will be fun! Yesterday’s Card Class was great, everyone enjoyed the cards! Last night was quiet but I did manage to go over to Sue’s and get some Etsy stuff done. Not much else to report which can be a good thing! 😀

Today I have a pretty simple stamped background card to share with you. I started by stamping the images from the Concord & 9th Pop Art Pineapple Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sunflower, Doe, Jalapeño and Carrot Ink onto piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, the front is covered in a piece of Black. Another piece of Black is die cut with the Concord & 9th Best Banners Dies three times. I adhered them to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All that was left to do was stamp the greeting from the Concord & 9th Best Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set In Black Licorice and the card is done! Love the nice bright bold background with the die cut! I hope that you like today’s card and I thank you for stopping by to visit with me today! Have a sensational Saturday! 🙂

Paper Players 340

It couldn’t decided whether it was going to be sunny or rain yesterday but it did finally make up it’s mind around 5:30 when it started to drizzle. Another relatively quiet day at the Store. I did make a card, it’s my daily therapy! After work some dinner with my Parent’s, tacos, and then a night on the couch with the TV. Sometimes when I have a lot on my mind I find the TV distracts me, does that work for you too? Card Class today… fun!

I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you today, they have a fun one this week but before we get to it I want to thank Deanne for choosing my card from last week for her Cut Above! You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE! Now for this week…

I haven’t made any sort of 3D card in a long time so I decided I needed to do something about that! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I googled and found some instructions on how to make a step card, got out my Scoring Board and got to work. The Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cut is cut from Battleship Gray and adhered to the front left and back right. My images come from three sets from Lawn Fawn, the Bicycle Built for You, Happy, Happy, Happy and Fab Flowers. I stamped the images from Bicycle Built for You in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. They are are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the back step with Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive. My happy and Mother’s Day are from the Happy, Happy, Happy Set and are stamped in Lobster, the happy is cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cut and adhered to the middle step and the Mother’s Day is stamped on the front step. I stamped two butterflies from the Fab Flowers Set in Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum and Memento Tuxedo Black, cut them out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered them to the left panel with 3M Foam Tape. I wanted to keep the card on the simple side as to no take away from the step aspect! LOL! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I thank you for visiting and wish you a happy Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 240

Another nice day here on Long Island. We are getting ready to have like seven days of rain in a row, that should be fun! The Store was quite yesterday, Renee was off , it was her boyfriend John’s birthday. I finished getting my tax stuff together and thanks to Melissa they were filed on time! I met Jim at my house after work and we ran to Michaels to get a few supplies to continue working on our crafty project, He made dinner and we watched a little TV before calling it a night. I’ll get ready for card class today, like to have everything done well ahead of time! 😀

It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I went with some bright colors for this one! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Lemon Lime. I used the Lawn Fawn Zig Zag Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Cosmic Grape and Lollipop 12×12 Paper. The patterned paper is cut and adhered to the the front bottom and back, on a slight angle. A piece of Pink Baker’s Twine is tied in a bow to hide the seam. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Sewn with Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images and the second half to the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black. The images are colored in with Copics and the Sew is stamped in Bubblegum. I used the Coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out and adhered them to a piece of Ballerina Pink that I cut out with the Zig Zag Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The circle is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. After I finished the card I decided that the purple was a little too plain so I stamped some more images from the set in Sugarplum, then it was done! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! SIP Challenge 95 – A Sketch!

Another Monday behind us! It was overcast but warm here yesterday, I’ll take that! The Store was busy, it was Home Decor day and everyone came in to paint their wood pieces. I worked on some cards for upcoming classes and got some more of my tax stuff together which is also what I did last night! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! I had dinner when I got home and was going to do a little cleaning but the taxes had to come first. I also had to run over to my friend Sue’s house for a bit to pick up some things and stopped at Target on the way back to get Winston some food. I like Tuesday’s because this evening I get to work on the crafty project with my friend! 😀

Today it’s time for a new challenge from Stamp, Ink, Paper

I started my card by using the Concord & 9th Floral Fill-In Patterned Paper and the Coordinating Stencils to add Merman Ink to the paper with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I then used the second stencil to add Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped the flower from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman heat embossed the second layer in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder to match the paper. It’s cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhered it to the card right under the stamped flower and the card is done! I do love that Fill-In Paper, such a very clever idea!! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! We have some great inspiration from the rest of the Team over on the BLOG and we can’t wait to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
