Paper Craft Crew 201

So I made a little boo boo yesterday! I titled yesterday’s post Paper Craft Crew 201 and not SIP Challenge 54 when I did it Monday night! Yeah, that’s what I get for trying to work ahead! LOL! I had just uploaded my Paper Craft Crew card to the Design Team site and that is what I’m blaming the incorrect title on! So, today is the Paper Craft Crew 201 post! YAY! I think that I’m back on track but you never know when I may get derailed again! With all that I have going on it’s surprise me that I remember how to get back home at the end of the day! Anyway, yesterday was a good day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store… Hero Arts arrived, well, most of it! I love the new Ink Cube 4 Packs! Such cool color combos and they make the Color Layering Sets nice and easy to use! I got them entered and hung up! Renee’s Home Decor class was fun! All of the peeps really liked their projects! I will remember to take a picture… today! 😛 I left the store at 6:30 so I could get home in time to see my little buddy Daniel! He was extra cute, my parents got him some new trucks and he showed them all to me and how they worked and what they did! Such a smartie! After I had a little dinner I headed over to get Heather so we could do a BJ’s run. I needed stuff for lunch and she needed to pick up a ton of chicken wings to make for her sister’s block party this weekend. We stopped at George’s to drop off the chicken, he had more room in his fridge, and then went back to Heather’s and binge watched some YouTube videos! Today I have Lawn Fawn and Notions coming and I think that my buddy Sue is going to come up to the store to help! Wee!

Let’s see… Wednesday… ahh yes… I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog (got it right!) for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS201 DT Sketch 6-29-2016

I started making this card while I was at the store and finished it when I got home Monday night! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. Using one of the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles I cut out a piece of paper from the Carta Bella Beach Day Line, the Beach Ball Bash 12×12 piece. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The ice cream cones and the greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the cones in Soft Brown and Cup O Joe and the ice cream is stamped in Soft Vanilla and Butter Bar with the solid image stamped again over the top using Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. They are then cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts along with the cherry that is stamped in Red Royal. The cones are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and the ice cream and the cherry, that I added some Glossy Accents to, with Foam Tape. In the upper right is a piece of Daffodil Delight that I flagged, a red button has some random Baker’s Twine tied into a bow and then the flag is adhered with more E-Z Runner and the button with a Glue Dot and done! I love that teal woodgrain paper and the clear heat embossing really gives some nice texture to the ice cream! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! This one runs for two weeks so you have plenty of time to head on over to the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 54 – Colors from Sandy!

Another busy Monday for me at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got my Reverse Confetti Order! Thanks to Jen for the SUPER FAST Shipping!! That got all entered in and put out. I’ll be using it for this month’s Card Class too! It’s a fun new release, lots of Summer themed goodies! I also managed to get my Newsletter sent out! If you want to sign up for it you can go HERE! My parents stopped in to say hi while they were out running errands! I even got to start a card! Renee prepared for her Home Decor Class that she has tomorrow! I’ll have to take a picture of what they are doing and share it, it’s so cute! When I got home I had dinner with my parents and Taylor, yummy spaghetti! Before I settled in the house I had to run to the bank and when I was finished with that I completed my card for tomorrow! I’m a day ahead! YAY! That gave me some down time last night. Well, I was doing some research on companies for the store! 🙂

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog for this week’s color challenge…

SIP Color Challenge 54 800

Lovely soothing colors from Sandy! I didn’t use the exact colors, I was at the store when I made my card so I used some Hero Arts Inks. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I stamped the cool floral cluster from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Solar White 80lb. The stamp set comes with solid images to fill in all of the flowers and leaves so I stamped them in Hero Arts Butter Bar, Soft Cantaloupe, Fresh Peach, Green Hills and Forever Green. The completed image panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black, some Foam Tape holds it to the card. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Lemon Drop, Tangerine and Shamrock Sequins and the card is done! I really enjoyed stamping all of the images with the fill in stamps and I love that greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge from Sandy! We hope to see your creations in the gallery so stop by the BLOG to check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 454

And off we go to the start of another week! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! It was just Angie and me at the Stamp, Ink, Paper inside Scrap-A-Latte Store yesterday. We got lots done, I even made a card or two! I worked on my upcoming classes and added a few more in August and September. We have my buddy Ken Oliver coming to teach in August, that should be fun! When I got home I had dinner with my Parents and then ran to Target to get some things that I forgot the other day. I really to make a list instead of thinking that I can remember what I need! I get easily distracted in that store! LOL! The rest of the evening I did some computer stuff and then just relaxed for bit! I needed that! Today I have to work on my newsletter for the store and make sure that I get ahead on my cards for the week too! One week that will actually happen!

The start of a new week always means a wonderful new sketch from the Mojo Monday blog…

Mojo454

I inked up a new to me set for today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic Card Stock. I wanted a subtle background just not a white one! The large partial circle is a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I heat embossed the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background on with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. To cut out the circle I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. Across the lower half is a piece of yes, you guessed it, Gold Mirror Card! I flagged the left side before adhering that to the card. A piece of Black 110lb is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flower, leaves and berries are all from the Altenew Peony Bouquet Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flower in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink and the leaves in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink with my Mini MISTI. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. On the leaves and berries I used my Versa-Marker to draw on some lines and colored in the berries and then heat embossed them with more Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The leaves and berries are adhered to the rectangle with Multi-Matte Medium and the flower with Foam Tape. Finally, my greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on Black 110lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I’ve said it before, I love a woodgrain background with a flower, I just think it looks so nice! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for beginning another week with me! Have a magnificently marvelous Monday! 🙂

Stamp, Ink, Paper Store June Class Cards!

Sunday… I have to say the day now that I’m at the store 7 days a week the days just run into one another! LOL! Yesterday we had more gorgeous weather! Renee had a crop at the store so I got to chat with all the ladies! I helped Edna use her new Altenew stamps and inks, she added some flowers to a scrapbook page and they looked great! Renee brought in the delicious bagels from Miller Place and I had one for breakfast and another one for lunch! Around 4:00 I got a very nice surprise! Andrew stopped by! It was so good to see him! We chatted for a while and I showed him my part of the store. We both headed out around 5:30, Mum had text me to ask me what I wanted from the Chinese food place for dinner and I text her when I left so they could go and get it. We had dinner and Taylor and Kiera stopped by. Afterwards I helped my Dad with the retractable awning that they have on the front of the house and then ran a few errands. When I got back home I crafted for a bit and then watched a little TV. Felt so good to sit on the couch for a bit! Toady it’s just me and Angie at the store, Renee will be out East with her family celebrating her Birthday a little early! Oh, no news from on the baby front, but I’ll keep you posted! How is your weekend going?

Today I finally remembered that I hadn’t shared the cards from the June Stamp, Ink, Paper Card Class! So that’s what I have for you today! They all use stamps and dies from the latest Lawn Fawn release. 24 people made 4 cards each! That’s a lot of cutting and I couldn’t have done it without a little help from Sue and Brian!! The mermaid one is a slider and the smoothie one is the shaker! I think that the smoothie one was the favorite! I hope that you enjoy the cards as much as the class did! Hopefully one day I might get to see some of you at Card Class! Thank you for sharing in my Sunday! Have an awesome day everyone! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 242

Happy weekend peeps! We had another warm sunny day here on Long Island! Perfect weather for my little car! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was good times as always! Renee went and had her hair did and the Novack sisters stopped by with a friend of theirs for a while. I managed to get my Reverse Confetti order in finally! Can’t wait to play with their new goodies! Angie came in around 5:00 to get ready for her Art Journaling Class. I left around 6:30 and had dinner at my parents. My sister-in-law said that she thinks that her contractions are starting! Daniel will have a new baby brother or sister soon! Can’t wait to meet him or her! I ran out last night to get gas and pick up a few things from Target. While I was roaming the aisles I came across Blueberry Oreos! If you see them and you like blueberry pie pick yourself up a pack! They are quite tasty! Especially with a cut of coffee! Today I will work on my cards for next month’s card class while I’m at the store. The administrative stuff can wait, I need to have a crafty day!

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches to share with you…

Freshly Made Sketches 242

I promise that this will be the last layered die cut card for a while! You know me, I get on a kick! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints background onto the front in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. Two circles are cut from Soft Sky and So Saffron using the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. I used some Gold Mirror Card to cut out the ticket and the word fun from the Spellbinders Amused 1 Die D-Lites and Etched Alphabet Shapeablities. The big top is also from the Amused 1 set and is cut from Wisteria Wonder. Some Black 110lb and a piece of Strawberry Slush cut out with the mustache and bow tie which are from the Spellbinders Hipster 2 Die D-Lites. The flag is cut from Silver Glitter Paper. I adhered the FUN to the So Saffron Circle with Multi-Matte Medium and the big top, flag and ticket to the Soft Sky circle with Dot Runner. My bow tie and mustache are adhered with Foam Tape. A little more Dot Runner holds the So Saffron circle to the card and Foam Tape adheres the Soft Sky one. I tucked in the banner cut from Coastal Cabana from the Amused 1 Set under the top circle and the card is finished! I do love the layering of dies cuts to make a “fun” different card! LOL! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

Paper Players 300!

I am one tired guy! LOL! Super busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Three orders arrived and Renee had some computer issues. My friend Sue came up for a little bit to help, she’s so good to me! It’s her Birthday today!! Happy Birthday Sue!! She said that she may stop by the store later on today! I hope that she does! I have a very special card that I made just for her! We had a couple new customers, that’s my favorite part! Getting to help the customers and share my love of creating! Sounds corny but it’s true! When I got home I had some dinner at my parent’s and then tried to get some things accomplished around the house but instead I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley and crafted for a few hours while chatting with my friend Eva! Felt good to sit in my little room and create! Tonight I have the Intro to Altenew Class, can’t wait to make some cards with my peeps!

Today I’m playing along with the Paper Players for their 300th Challenge! The theme is Celebration, how appropriate…

Paper Players #300

I dusted off an oldie but a goodie to make today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Basic Gray and heat embossed my fireworks from The Ton’s Pyrotechnics Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Silver Pearl and Gold Tinsel and WOW! Spring Breeze Glitter Embossing Powders. My frame is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Acetate and adhered that to the back of the frame with Scor-Tape. A layer of Foam Tape is added and some Gold Chunky Glitter and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Flat Mix is sprinkled in the card. I adhered the window part to the card and then used the Essentials by Ellen Zipper Panel Dies to cut out the word Celebrate from some more Gold Mirror Card. That is adhered to the window with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the card is done! I wish you could see the card in person because the pictures don’t do it justice! The way the fireworks sparkle when you move it back and forth in the light is amazing! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players 300th Challenge! Thank you, as always, for stopping by. You guys make my days amazing! Have a tantalizing Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 200!

Ahh… Wednesday! Always seems to be the busiest day of the week for me lately! My Tuesday was a pretty busy one too! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was very busy! Renee has been having issues with her Dell Computer running Windows… need I say more?! After about an hour on the phone with Microsoft they finally determined that it was the last update that messed up the computer so we had to roll it back to fix it. I concentrated on getting some more orders in and working with my Rep on a  few things. The weather was just lovely again, the convertible makes me such a happy boy! When I got home from the store Daniel was still at my Parent’s and it was National Selfie Day so he and I haven’t had a selfie in a long time! Here is our contribution…

Daniel & Me NSD

Oh how I love that little boy! After I had some dinner I headed over to see my friend Sue! She was having some computer issues too so I got that straightened out and we sat and chatted for a bit on the front steps. When I got home I had to finish my card for today, last minute as usual! I need to work on my planning a little more! Today will be super busy at the store! I have Concord & 9th, Altenew and Notions arriving! Just in time for my class tomorrow! YAY!

Today is a special Wednesday post for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge! It’s our 200th one!! I am happy to say that I have been playing along since challenge 7!! Here is this week’s sketch…

PCCCS200 DT Sketch 6-22-2016

I wanted to play with my Hero Arts Seahorse again but I hadn’t used purple in a while so I Googled just to make sure that there are purple Seahorses and there are! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of paper from the Bo Bunny Believe 12×12 Paper Line, it’s the Devotion sheet. Next up I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables to cut out a piece of Ballerina Pink and Cyber Grape. The pink is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. On my purple piece I used the seaweed from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set and heat embossed them in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. That panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I then adhered some purple and silver glitter tape to some Solar White 80lb and adhered that to the card on diagonals crossing each other. A piece of Pale Aqua is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Circles Stackables and adhered to the card with more E-Z Runner. My images are all from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Seahorse is stamped in Passion Flower, Grape Juice and Intense Black, the Starfish in Wet Cement and Cup O Joe and the Shell in Soft Pink and Wet Cement. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the circle. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder on more Ballerina Pink and tucked under the circle. Of course I added some Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Pink Peony and Amethyst Sequins for a little sparkle! I love that patterned paper and the super cool Seahorse! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the 200th Challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog! There is some blog candy and all sorts of other goodness going on over on the BLOG so go and check it out! While you’re there make a card and enter it in the gallery to help us celebrate! SIP Challenge 51 – Sunsets!

What a beautiful day it was here yesterday! The sun was shining and there was a nice breeze down by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got a lot accomplished too, love it when that happens! Renee had her Christmas Card Club and I finished up some preparations for Thursday’s Stamping 101 Class! I spoke to Andrea and Michael, always a pleasure! My lunch was salad again, I’m keeping up with my healthy eating so I can loose this lovely donut that has appeared around my waist! Gotta get bikini ready! LOL! Today I’ll be doing a little research to see what else I want to bring into the store, one of my favorite things to do!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We have a beautiful inspiration picture…

SIP Challenge 51 - Sunsets 800

Oh how I would like to be on the pier! The base for my card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out two pieces of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts. On one of them I used the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Border Lawn Cuts. I can’t stop making the Distress Ink backgrounds and today I used Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch for the ocean and Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple for the sky. A little flick of water and some blotting before I adhered the background with Tombo Extreme and the ocean with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to the card. My images are from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Foam Tape and E-Z Runner to adhere them to the card. For the hello I inked up another piece of Watercolor Card with Candied Apple Distress Ink and then used the Lawn Fawn Scripty Hello Lawn Cut to cut it out. The Waving is from the same stamp set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I used Multi-Matte Medium To adhered the hello and some Pretty Pink Posh Sunshine Glow, Blue Lagoon and Sparkling Clear Sequins to the card. A little brush of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen one the mermaid and the card is finished! I really do love the way the Ink Blended backgrounds look, especially in the bright colors! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Inspiration Challenge! Mojo Monday 451

Hey peeps! How was the weekend?! I enjoyed mine thoroughly! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy yesterday despite the gloomy weather and the brief torrential downpour that we had! I got my newsletter done and started working on my little pamphlet for the Stamping 101 Class on the 9th. By the time I left the store the sun had come out for a little bit so the drive home was nice. I had Chinese food with my parents for dinner and then Brian came by and helped me with my new mattress. I got a Sleep Number bed, hoping that I can find my number quickly and enjoy all of the great things that I have heard about it! I’ll let you know how that goes! Today I will get my pamphlet finished and start working on new orders and some more administrative stuff. Oh how I love my job!!

It’s Monday so that means that I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog with the rest of the Design Team for this week’s sketch…

Mojo451

This was one of those cards that got assembled in my head while I was at the store! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles to cut out two pieces of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I ran one of them through the Big Shot a second time with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tools, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Ink for the Grass and Salty Ocean, Broken China and Tumbled Glass for the sky. Some water is flicked on the sky piece and dabbed off with a paper towel then the grass is adhered to the bottom and the panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The sun is a piece of Daffodil Delight that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles. My clouds are cut out from Solar White 80lb with the the Lawn Fawn Simple Puffy Clouds and then some Silver Glitter Paper is cut out with the coordinating Simple Puffy Clouds Frames. I used some Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the frames to the clouds and then adhered all three of them to the card. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Yay, Kites Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used my Copics to color then in and stamped the hello in Memento Tuxedo Black. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The kite and bunny are adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the hello with Multi-Matte Medium. To compete the card I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the simple and fun images in the Yay, Kites set, especially against that Distress Ink background! I hope that you enjoy my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketh Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! White Painted Flowers

Hey there peeps! How was your Friday? It rained here on and off all day, the sun did try to peek out a few times but mostly gloomy. However inside the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store it was another fun day! Renee was off spending the day with her grandkids, I’m sure that she had a nice day too. I was a busy boy, I got some administrative stuff done in between helping the customers. I really do love talking to people about crafty stuff. One customer stopped in a brought a pop-up crib card that she made, it was great! My friend Paul stopped by for a bit, I got to talk to Michael and my friend Chantal. Angie came up in the afternoon to finish getting ready for her folio class that she has today. I ran out to the Post Office and mailed off some more crafty goodness to another happy customer! At the end of the day Taylor and Kiera stopped by and had some Blaze and Panera for dinner. When I got home Daniel was still at my parent’s and after I had some dinner he showed me his new Ninja Turtles Big Wheel and then we played with his cars. When I got back to my house Taylor and Kiera came by and I helped Taylor make a card for one of her friends and then made my card for today. I have lots of stuff to get done at the store today and I can’t wait to plan a few more classes for next month!

The card that I have to share with you today is a nice simple one! My card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Yeti and Black Licorice Ink onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. The stems are drawn in with a Copic Multiliner. The greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Black Licorice. I mounted the stamped panel to a piece of Black 110lb and then adhered it to the card. Like I said, nice and simple but I love the white ink on the kraft card stock with just the simple outlines of the flowers! I hope that you enjoyed today’s quick and simple card! Thank y0u for stopping by and I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂
