Hey peeps! How’s it going? Things are good on my end. It’s been a quiet week, which is nice for a change. Work was busy but bearable today and the weather was nice. It’s supposed to rain and then get colder over the weekend. Ahh, I long for spring already! I did get to spend some quality time at the craft desk last night and I made a card that I really love! I’ll post it tomorrow and you’ll have to let me know what you think!

My post for today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. This week’s sketch is from the talented Julee Tilman…

I really do always like the Mojo sketches, lots of layers! My card starts off with a base of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. The background is a piece of Whisper White that I stamped with the Dictionary Background Stamp in Sahara Sand. A strip of Bermuda Bay is flagged on the bottom and embossed using the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Pool Party tag is stamped with the Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay and the “little” in Cherry Cobbler and popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional. A piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon is tied in a bow using the “Fork” method and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot. Across the bottom of the tag is some Cherry Cobbler that I cut out with the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die. My snowflakes are from the Festive Flurry Stamp Set and are stamped in Pool Party and cut out with the Festive Flurry Framelits Dies. Three red sequins in the top left finish off the card. I’m really enjoying the blues this Christmas and I love that Dictionary Stamp! Thank you for taking some time to stop by and see my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. Today was a busy day at work and a quiet evening at home. I do like it when not too much is going on when I get home, it’s definitely a rarity. I got to sit down and make my card and play around with some other ideas that were floating around in my head. Did some more blog research and started planning what I am going to do for my video. I had a some people ask about the mask that I used for yesterday’s card so here is a picture of it…

I used a ruler to draw lines and then my Paper Snips to cut out the sections. It is 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, just right for a card front. I like it made out of the Window Sheet, I can keep reusing it!

Now on to my card. My inspiration for today’s post is this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. This week’s sketch is provided by none other than Julee Tilman…

Round or Square… there seems to be a lot of round on the card itself! I pondered my card for a while and as soon as I saw past the circles it all came together. The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock. The background is two pieces of paper from the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack mounted to a piece of Bermuda Bay with a strip of Bermuda Bay across the middle. I embossed a piece of Smoky Slate with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Folder and adhered it slightly off center. My snowflakes are from the Festive Flurry Stamp Set, inked with Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Pool Party and Whisper White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Vellum Card Stock. The Festive Flurry Framelits Dies cut them out perfectly and some carefully placed SNAIL holds them to the card. I choose the greeting from the Tags 4 You Stamp Set. I stamped it in Bermuda Bay and punched it out with the Label Bracket Punch, a Stampin’ Dimensional holds it in place. I love the way heat embossing looks on Vellum and the colors are some of my favorites! Thanks very much for paying me a visit today to see my Mojo Monday card for this week’s sketch challenge. Yesterday was a very quiet day. Not a lot went on and that can be a nice change sometimes. I have to decided whether or not to move my blog to a hosted server today or keep it with WordPress. I will have to do this on Friday at some point because I have left it to the last minute. After reading up on the move on-line it sounds simple and pretty straight forward but we all know how that goes! Hopefully there will be no issues and it will be a smooth transition. Fingers crossed everyone! 🙂

I’m a little late getting my Mojo Monday card up this week but I have it for you today. This week’s sketch is provided by the talented Julee Tilman…

I went back and forth about what I was going to do with the circle, a rosette, an image, it went on for a while but I finally settled on an image. The base of my card is Rose Red Card Stock, a color that I haven’t used in a very long time. My background is a piece of Modern Medley Designer Series Paper. The strip across the lower half is a piece of Basic Black that I embossed with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and backed it with a piece of Rose Red. I adhered a piece of “Vintage” Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon around the back, added the flags that I cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies and I used Multi-Purpose glue to adhere it to the card. The flower is from the Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set and is stamped in Rose Red and cut out with my Paper Snips. I choose the greeting form the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set, stamped it in Rose Red and backed it with a piece of Basic Black. The little black heart is punched out using the Owl Builder Punch and some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold all of the pieces to the card. Finally I knotted another piece of the ribbon to complete the card. As I’m looking at the card it kind of reminds me of the candy Good ‘n Plenty! LOL! Monday’s, why must you be so naughty?! We have our annual gala at work on Friday and things have kicked into high gear. It’s funny how almost everything happens the last week. Nothing like a little planning! LOL! It’s feeling a little more fall like here with the temperature not getting much above 60 today. Still comfortable so no complaints from me yet. Just wait if we get snow, I’ll be complaining then! 🙂

Now on to the post which is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch that is conjured up by the talented Julee Tilman…

There are some fun flags on this one! The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack. My base panel in the middle is Pistachio Pudding that I embossed with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The flags are Gold Foil Sheet and are cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. I also used some Gold Foil Sheet for the strip across the middle. The greeting is from the Christmas Messages Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypso Coral. I eliminated the word “and” and replaced it with the ampersand from the Hello, Lovely Stamp Set along with two arrows, both stamped in Pistachio Pudding. A piece of Calypso Coral backs the greeting and a Subtle Designer Button with a circle of Gold Foil Sheet punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack completes my card. I really like the unusual mix of colors and the gold gives it a little sparkle. Another beautiful day here again! We have won weather lotto as of late and I’m loving it! I have noticed that it’s getting darker earlier and the sun isn’t up when I get up anymore but the weather has made up for that! Yesterday was definitely a Monday though, work was a little insane and I couldn’t wait to get home and make something! Today is my Mum’s birthday, so a very Happy Birthday to my wonderful mother! I will share her card a little later in the week. She actually requested a specific card this year!

Today I have my Mojo Monday Sketch challenge card to share with you. This week our sketch is provided by Julee Tilman…

I’m not even going to mention the round or square thing! LOL! I dusted off a set that I have neglected lately, it’s a favorite of mine too! The base of the card is Elegant Eggplant Card Stock and the background is a piece of Whisper White that I stamped with the World Map Background Stamp in Smoky Slate. I finally got the Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder a little while ago so I heat embossed the greeting from the You’re Amazing Stamp Set right on the background. The balloons are from the same set and are stamped in Elegant Eggplant and cut out with my Paper Snips. Two Tangerine Tango flags are behind each one and the balloons are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I think this card would make a nice bright masculine birthday card, I like the way the Smoky Slate tones the Eggplant and Tangerine down a bit. I really couldn’t be happier with the weather here this week. It has been just beautiful, perfect, lovely weather. Sunny and warm but not hot with a slight breeze, I wish it would stay like this all the time! It was another fun filled we have network issues day at work yesterday. Let’s hope that our so called IT department has it all straightened out today. The lack of internet access really impedes my progress! LOL! I’m pretty happy that it’s Thursday too! 🙂

For today’s post I have my Mojo Monday card for this week’s sketch from Julee Tilman…

As I looked at the sketch I thought hmm… this would be a good card for a spinner card and then I thought I have never made one of those before! Can you believe that?!?! My card starts off with a base of Old Olive Card Stock and a plain piece of Cherry Cobbler for the background. I used some Season of Style Designer Series Paper backed with some Old Olive for the base of my spinner. Using the Word Window Punch I punched out the slit. The greeting is from the Tags 4 You Stamp Set and is heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched out with the Label Bracket Punch. Some pennies and Stampin’ Dimensionals create the spinner on the back. A little Champagne Glimmer Paper cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies and some gold sequins complete the card. I have to admit that I played with card for quite a while when I finished it and I thought today’s more traditional colors were a nice opposite to yesterday’s very non-traditional ones! Happy Tuesday! I forgot that I have a four day week this week because I’m going on a little trip on Thursday night. I’ll tell you more about it on Friday! I’m quite excited about it! It is definitely feeling fall like here, windy and rainy yesterday morning but it cleared up in the afternoon and it’s 48 degrees this morning. Lot’s of catch up before I leave too. So much to do and so little time, isn’t that how it always works?!?!

Today I have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge and the sketch this week is provided by Julee Tilman…

I just received this month’s Paper Pumpkin in the mail today and I love it as always. I was inspired by the card and decided to used the stamps and the color ink pad today. The base of my card is Crumb Cake Card Stock. A piece of Epic Day This & That Designer Series Paper with a piece of Midnight Muse that I punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch along with a strip and a circle of Silver Glimmer Paper creates the backdrop. The greeting is stamped on a piece of Whisper White that I punched along the top with the Envelope Punch Board to create the file folder look. A strip of Pool Party and a piece of 1/8″ Silver Ribbon goes across the bottom. I used the Chevron Border Punch to punch out some Midnight Muse for the three chevrons on the left. I really do think that the Paper Pumpkin Kits are fun and I love all of the stamps that come with them. Ahh… Tuesday already! How was your three day weekend? Mine went exceptionally quickly but I guess that’s because I had a lot going on which is a good thing. Yesterday I spent a lot of time at the craft desk, it was dreary and muggy here almost all day. I got some projects finished, started some new ones and just played for a bit. I did make the mistake of venturing out to BJ’s at one point and it was a mad house. My friend Sandy said that Staples was the same. That’s because everyone just remembered that school starts tomorrow! LOL! Last minute is always the worst idea but we are all guilty of it. This week will be a good week, mainly because it’s a four day week! Woo hoo! 🙂

Today I have my Mojo Monday sketch card for you. The sketch we have this week is provided by Julee Tilman…

My card starts off with a base of Basic Black Card Stock. The background is the “Vintage” Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing folder from last year’s Holiday Catalog in Pumpkin Pie. I thought that it went really well with the Witches’ Brew Designer Series Paper that I used on both of the panels. Each of them are backed with some Basic Gray and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Tags 4 You Stamp Set and is punched out with the Bracket Label Punch. A piece of Basic Black that I flagged on both ends goes behind it. A Pumpkin Pie Brights Designer Button with a Basic Glimmer Brad in the center completes the card. So what do you think, doesn’t the Lacy Brocade Folder look neat with the DSP?! Thursday, how nice to see you again! One more day people! Rumor has it that we are going to get out of work early tomorrow and there will not be many people there anyway! Love days like that. My boss asked me to make two thank you card for her and I also managed to get another card made last night too. I love when I can get three cards made in one night. The weather here was sunny but overcast and at one point it looked like it might rain but didn’t. I don’t think the weather man has high hopes for the weekend either but I think they do that sometimes just in case it’s not the greatest. I don’t have any big plans, maybe just lay low and get some work done around the house. I also desperately need to organize my craft area which I have been doing little by little. Really little though!

Now for today’s card that is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. This time our sketch is provided by Julee Tilman…

My card starts off with a base of Pistachio Pudding Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of Crumb Cake and the Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set stamped in Pistachio Pudding and Crumb Cake randomly. A piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon is adhered around the back before the panel is mounted to the base. The greeting is the new Magical Season Single Stamp stamped in Cherry Cobbler and cut out with the Ovals Collection Framelits and paper pierced with the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack around the edge. I backed it with a piece of Pistachio Pudding cut out with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits and embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Some Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake punched out with the Boho Blossom Punch creates the flower. One Basic Jewel Pearl in the center of the flower and three in the lower right corner complete the card. I really like the Cherry Cobbler with the Pistachio Pudding and the oval back by the label is pretty cool too. Good day! So nice to see you again! It was another lovely day here on the island, sunny and warm. It was actually the hottest day of August so far and it only got up to 90. So, I’m a big Apple fan as some of you may know. One of my favorite things to do is FaceTime. It allows me to do fun things like craft with Brian King. The other night I was making my Mojo card and I cut out the Wonderful Wreath with the Circles Collection Framelits and he said aren’t you going to fussy cut that? I knew he was right but I didn’t feel like doing it. As soon as I hung up however I did just that. I;m glad that I listened!

So today’s card is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch and the lovely Julee Tilman has given us this to work with…

The base of my card is Baked Brown Sugar and the background is a piece of Crumb Cake that I embossed with the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The two triangles are from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack. I stamped the Wonderful Wreath in Old Olive and as I mentioned I cut it out with my Paper Snips. Some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details gives the berries some sparkle. The piece of Cheery Cobbler behind it is cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and the wreath is adhered to it with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Tags 4 You Stamp Set and is stamped in Baked Brown Sugar and punched out with the Label Bracket Punch. A Brights Designer Button with some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine and some flags in the top left complete the card. I really am glad that I listened to Brian and his sage advice! LOL!
