Mojo 243 and Sneak Peek

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope that your first day back to work after that nice three day weekend wasn’t too bad. I am constantly just trying to get through to Friday each week! Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. Julee Tilman has provided this weeks sketch and it asks round or square…

I always choose the square one, I will have to give the round one a try soon. The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock cut to 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and the scored at 4 1/4″ and folded. The background uses the Texture Plates Backgrounds 1*** and is Baja Breeze Card Stock. I used some Patio Party Designer Series Paper** for the argyle strip and the hearts. The flagged ends are made just using my Paper Snips and a ruler (I am way too anal to eyeball anything!). The heart piece of DSP is mounted on a piece of Primrose Petals* Card Stock. The greetings are from the Priority Mail Host(ess)** Stamp Set and are stamped in Midnight Muse* and Primrose Petals* Ink. The happy birthday is punched out using the Curly Label Punch and the eat cake is punched with the Postage Stamp Punch. I cut out two circles, one in Midnight Muse* and one in Summer Starfruit*, with my Circle Scissor Pro***. They are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Mojo 242 and Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy Tuesday. It was gloomy and rainy here all day yesterday and is supposed to be like that for much of the rest of the week. I’m not a huge fan of the rain but everything will be nice and green when it’s finished raining! Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This week’s sketch is provided by Teresa Kline…

I used Raspberry Ripple* Card Stock for the base. To that I added a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I don’t think that I have done a white background before but it looks kind of neat! I added a piece of Patio Party** Designer Series Paper to the embossed background and I also used the Labels Collection Framelits Dies to cut another piece out to place behind my stamped image. The stamped image is from the Occasions Alphabet Stamp Set and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple*. I used the new Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies** to cut it out and after I mounted to to the label with some Stampin’ Dimensionals, I framed it with Raspberry Ripple* and Whisper White. Another piece of Raspberry Ripple* was punched along the one side with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. I adhered that to the card with SNAIL and then the greeting was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Thanks to Mojo for another great sketch. Mojo 241 and Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy Thursday to you all. It finally stopped raining here yesterday afternoon and went straight into summer. It was about 78 degrees and humid, I’ll take that over wet and rainy any day! Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is from Teresa Kline…

I decided that I wanted to use some Naturals White Card Stock because when you stamp on it it gives it that older look. The base of the card Is Naturals White and to that I added a piece of Pool Party that I ran through the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 embossing plate. They are on the Retired list and I’m sad to see them go. They are great if you just want some subtle embossing. I took a piece of Island Indigo Card Stock and ran that through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then punch the two outside edges with the Eyelet Border Punch. The greeting and the image are form the new Forever With You Stamp Set* and are both stamped in Island Indigo, I cut the image out with my Paper Snips. Both are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a little finishing touch I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit with some more Naturals White Card Stock and mounted the butterfly on Stampin’ Dimensionals too. I have lots of cards to make and I can’t wait to get started. Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is by Julee Tilman…

For my card I started with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and I added a piece of Daffodil Delight that I ran through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The piece of Designer Series Paper is actually a sneak peek and is from the new Floral District DSP. The piece I used coordinates with Daffodil Delight. I used my Circle Scissor Pro (Retired List) to cut out the stamped image, also a sneak peek from the Betsy’s Blossoms Stamp Set, and it’s stamped in Primrose Petals, one of the new 2012-2014 In-Colors. I cut out a piece of Gumball Green Card Stock, another of the 2012-2014 In-Colors, to back it and adhered it to the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flagged piece is Primrose Petals (2012-2014 In-Colors) and the greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set. The flower is also from Betsy’s Blossoms and is stamped in Primrose Petals (2012-2014 In-Colors). I used my Paper Snips to cut it out and mounted it on a circle that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. A piece of Gumball Green Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a Brights Collection Designer Button finish off the card. Happy Wednesday to you all. Half way through the week is always better that where we were two days ago! I hope that everyone is having a good week, mine is good. I’m finally getting rid of my cold that I have had since Sunday. Today also marks the release of the Retired Accessories List. I knew what set I wanted to use as soon as I saw the sketch. The Tea Shoppe Stamp Set is one of my favorites from the Occasions Mini. It’s also a good reminder that it ends at the end of this month. If there is anything else that you wanted now is as good a time as any to get it. I started off the card with a base of Wisteria Wonder. I stamped the three tea cup image from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) in Pool Part and Wisteria Wonder and punched them out with my 1 1/4″ Square Punch and adhered them to the card with good old SNAIL. I then used my Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits Dies to cut out a piece of Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder. I stamped the pansy image in Wisteria Wonder and used my Blender Pen to color in the flowers with Pool Party and a touch of Lucky Limeade. I used my Paper Snips to cut it out and Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount it on the label. The greeting is stamped in Pool Party and punched out with the Small Oval Punch. I inked only the word thanks and used the Jewelry Tag Punch for the other greeting. Some Linen Thread and a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the card and it’s done! I love Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder together and The Labels Collection Framelits Dies are great too! I hope you like the card and thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy your day! 🙂

Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a nice Monday. The weather here on Long Island was beautiful yesterday. It was just warm enough, in the upper 70’s. I love the warmer weather! Today’s card is my Mojo Monday card for this week. Mary Fish did the sketch this week and I really like it…

I guess I was inspired by the warm weather to do a nice bright card. I started with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. Across the top of the card I used a piece of the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper (Pre-Order). The paper actually inspired the flowers across the middle of the card. They are all punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle punch for the outside and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack circle for the middle ones. The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade. The are mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals on a frame of Whisper White and Real Red. The leaves are created with the 5 teal Flower Punch, all you do is cut two petals off and you have some leaves! The bottom half of the card is Island Indigo. I stamped the greeting in Real Red from the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set. It has become one of my go-to sets because you can make all different combinations the from the words. The flagged ends are made using the 1″ Square Punch and it too is mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! I’m very happy today because I’m going to pick my parents up from the airport. They have been in London visiting my mom’s family. I wanted to do a happy spring card and what better to use than the new Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper (Pre-Order). It has one of my favorite colors in it, Island Indigo and that’s what I used for my card base. I took a piece of Whisper White and adhered three different coordinating patterns of the Summer Smooches DSP to it. Then I took a piece of Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon and wrapped that around the front. I used the trusty fork method to tie my bow and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot. The image is form the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set (Pre-Order) and is stamped in Island Indigo. I used the 1/2″ Circle Punch to punch out a piece of Island Indigo Card Stock and I tied a piece of Island Indigo Bakers Twine through one of the Brights Collection Buttons and adhered that with a Mini Glue Dot. The greeting is from the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set and too is stamped in Island Indigo. I used the 2 3/8″ Scalloped Circle Punch to punch out some Daffodil Delight to mount the stamped image on. I can’t help but smile when I look at the card. It’s nice, simple and happy. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Good morning peeps! I hope that you are having a nice week so far. Today is my daughter Taylor’s 16th birthday! I am a very lucky dad to have such a wonderful child! Happy Birthday Taylor. I’ll be posting her card tomorrow, sometimes she actually stops texting to read my blog! Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. They have given us this sketch to work with…

I really do love making my Mojo card each week. For this weeks card I decided to use the new Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set. I started with a base of Tangerine Tango and I added a piece os the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper. I took my Scallop Edge Border Punch and punched one side of a piece of Tempting Turquoise. The layer over that is a piece of Rich Razzleberry that I ran through my trusty Big Shot with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Another piece of Tempting Turquoise and Designer Series paper is cut out with the Circle Scissor Plus and mounted on some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I markered two images from the Bright Blossoms Stamp Sets in Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade and Real Red and punched it out with the Extra Large Oval Punch and put some Stampin’ Dimensionals under that too. I hand cut the flagged piece of Daffodil Delight and another piece of Designer Series paper and that too has some Stampin’ DImensionals. The greeting is from the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry. For the finishing touch I cut a sliver of Whisper white and threaded it through the Brights Designer Series button and glued that on with some Mini Glue Dots. I love the bright cheery colors and the great variety of Designer Series Paper that comes with the Summer Smooches Collection. Thank you so much for dropping by and enjoy your day! 🙂

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope your Monday was a good one, mine was ok. For today’s card I give you this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge…

I decided that I would use some of the Sale-A-Bration items before they are gone. The base of my card is Lucky Limeade. I added three strips of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) for my background. The stamps are from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and are stamped in Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait for the center images and the stamp image is stamped in Lucky Limeade. I backed the center image with Pool Party and the stamp image is punched out with the 1 1/4″ Square Punch and backed by a piece of Peach Parfait that punched out with the 1 3/8″ Square Punch. I adhered the center image with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the set Fabulous Phrases and is stamped in Lucky Limeade and mounted on some Poppy Parade. For the finishing touch I placed 3 Basic Jewels Rhinestones on the three outside stamped flower images. I love the Mojo Challenge and hope you like the card. Hello peeps! Happy Tuesday to you all. I forgot to mention yesterday that I went down to the High Line in Manhattan with my friend Kim on Sunday. I always love the Mojo sketches and this is good one. With Sale-A-Bration over in less than two weeks I decided it was time to use it once again. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I used two pieces of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) for the background and separated them with a piece of Very Vanilla 1/2″ Grosgrain Ribbon. I stamped some images from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) in Pool Party and Calypso Coral and punched them out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. They are mounted on Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little extra pop. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypso Coral and mounted to a piece of Pool Party that was punched along one side with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.It’s actually a pretty simple card and I am loving the colors!
