Paper Craft Crew 190

Yay for Wednesday! Halfway there people! Yesterday was the usual sort of day. It rained in the morning but stopped by 1:00. I crafted with Andrea over FaceTime and went and had lunch and dinner at my parent’s with Daniel! He is too funny! He was playing with his cars, he loves them! I continued work on my upcoming project and got some more stuff for it too. Last night I ran out and got gas in the car. I have to take Brian to the Dr. this morning so it’s an early day for me! I finally got my taxes done too! Thanks Melissa! You’re the best as always!

Once again it’s time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge and this week we have some colors for you…

PCCCS190 DT Colors 4-13-2016

I love when I can just stamp and get to use all of those fun ink colors that I have! For the base of today’s card I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the birds in Tempting Turquoise, Cucumber Crush and Crushed Curry with the outlines stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI. The flowers are stamped in Watermelon Wonder and the leaves in Cucumber Crush. I laid out my flowers, leaves and bird onto my card and then used Press ‘n Seal to pick them up. More of the flowers and leaves are stamped on the card and the I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Audrey Blue to the upper half of the card. While the flowers, leaves and bird were still on the Press ‘n Seal I added Foam Squares to the back, removed the backing paper and adhered them to the card. The Press n’ Seal is then peeled off making sure that all of my pieces stayed exactly where I wanted them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black across the top and the card is finished! I loved getting to use a Christmas set to make a nice bright fun card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter one of yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Happy mid-week peeps! It’s still freezing cold here and I’m not enjoying it one bit! If you have any hot weather that you can spare please send it my way! Brian stopped by yesterday to visit for a bit in the morning and then I made my way over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee. We had a nice little chat and from there I came back home and spent some time with Daniel. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, it was Taylor’s Birthday yesterday, she is no longer a teenager! Boy do I feel old! LOL! Last night Danielle came back over and we finished getting all caught up. I miss her but the stories of work make me glad that I’m not there! Today I need to get crafty, lots of projects to get finished, but you know how I love my crafty time!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS189 DT Sketch 4-06-2016

I wanted something bright, bold and quirky! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. The flagged piece is some Canson 140lb Watercolor Card Stock that I covered in Wilted Violet Distress Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spritzed with water and then I dabbed it with a paper towel leaving that fun Distress Background. A piece of Vellum is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Die and adhered behind the flagged piece. I then adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Across the top is a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper and under that is some Purple Smooth Glitter Washi Tape. My feathers and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Dream Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card Stock. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the flagged piece with E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting in Onyx Black from the same set in the lower right corner of the base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Gold, Ocean Spray and Peacock Feather Sequins are adhered around the feathers for some more sparkle! I think that I got a bright, bold and quirky card, how about you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! And how is your week going? We are at the halfway point and mine is going well. Yesterday I had a pretty busy day, just the way that I like them! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then had a little lunch with my parents. Around 1:30 I stopped at A. C. Moore, I had a $10 rewards certificate that I just had to get rid of! I bought another bead storage container for sequins and other embellies, it’s the one with the bigger compartments this time. From there I stopped and got some gas and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to visit Renee for a little while. We had a nice chat and she shared some of her home-made peach strudel with me. After that I headed over to Deer Park to pick up Bill. He had to drop off Anthony’s van to be fixed, there is a problem with the wheelchair ramp. I drove Bill back to Anthony’s and visited with them for a bit before heading over to Heather’s. We went and had dinner at Applebee’s and then stopped at Lowes so I could get some hardware to hang her new chandelier. After that was finished we watched a little TV and had a laughing fit that lasted about 20 minutes! They are the best aren’t they?! I got home around 12:30 and that was my day!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS188 DT Sketch 3-30-3016

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of Copper Glitter Tape. The two panels are pieces of paper from the Heidi Swapp Dreamy 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut them out. A piece of Blushing Bride that is cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders Lawn Cuts is adhered to the left side of the smaller panel and they are both adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut from a piece of “Vintage” Summer Starfruit with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Balck 110lb. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The fun flower is a Wooden Embellishment from Recollections. I coated the front in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with more of the Copper Powder, it’s adhered with Multi-Matte Medium along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze and Onyx Sequins. I love the copper with fun muted brights on the paper and the sparkle of the glitter tape is a nice added touch! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG to see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

What an absolutely lovely day I had in Manhattan at The Ink Pad with Barbara yesterday! The weather was gorgeous, sunny and warm. We had a steady flow of customers including a homeless man that came in to browse. He was a little unkempt but he browsed around and seemed to enjoy his little break in the store. After work I had a little issue, sometimes it’s not easy being me! I went to go and get the subway but I had no money on my MetroCard and when I went to add to it that didn’t work either! Oops! Thankfully it was a nice night for a 50 plus block walk! LOL! I can use the exercise, believe me! I met up with Kim at her apartment and we went to get a little dinner at Baker Street, they have delicious food there. After that it was back to the apartment for a little talk before calling it a night. I’ll be at The Ink Pad with Barbara again today! Fun!

My card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

PCCCS185 DT Sketch 3-09-2016

Love the simplicity of the sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed my greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Black 110lb. It’s then cut out with some  Simon Says Stamp Dies that the name escapes me of at the moment! I used the same dies to cut out a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper. Before adhering them both to the card with Foam Tape I added a few loops of DMC Metallic Gold Thread. The large star is punched out from more Black 110lb with the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents inch Pack. I added some Versa-Mark and then dipped it in Ultra Thick Embossing Powder three times. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. Two of the star stamps from the Birthday Balloons Set are stamped in Onyx Black and then a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and some Basic Jewel Rhinestones are added for a little more sparkle and shine! I love the sentiment and the mix of the rhinestones and sequins is so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wickedly cool Wednesday! 🙂

What’s up peeps? How is your week progressing? Mine… can’t complain! I had a nice day at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday. Yesterday was also my dad’s birthday so I made him a fun and simple card using some patterned paper while I was there! I even used the Envelope Punch Board to make the envelope, the card was 5×7, which I think is a first for me! When I got home I started to craft for a bit and then Heather called so I ran over to see her and then did a little more crafting when I got home before calling it a night! Here is the card that I made for my dad, very simple but it definitely describes him!

Dad B'day 2016

I used a bunch of different papers from the PhotoPlay This Guy 12×12 Paper Collection. Isn’t it great when you can make a card with just patterned paper?!

Now on to today’s post! It’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

PCCCS184 DT Sketch 3-02-3026

I used some Lawn Fawn… again! I’m really obsessed with their latest release, especially the Lovable Legends set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the right is a strip of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles to cut out a bunch of circles from Solar White 80lb and a piece of Vellum. On some of the circles I used the Lawn Fawn Ocean Waves Borders Lawn Cuts. I then added some Simon Says Stamp Surf Blue and Cloudy Sky ink to them with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. My images and greeting are all from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Kraken and ship are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I adhered the Kraken in the waves with Foam Tape along with the ship. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing powder on Vellum and then mounted to a piece of Basic Gray. Before I adhered all of the pieces to the card with Foam Tape I added two strips, one of Basic Gray and one of Smoky Slate, to lower right. Finally, I scattered some Pretty Pink Posh Charcoal and Marshmallow Sequins across the circles. I really do love that set and it looks so neat all colored in with Copics! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time out of your busy day to come and visit with me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

I don’t know about you but this week is just flying by, I can’t believe that it’s Wednesday already! It was a little rainy and overcast here all day yesterday and think that we are to have more of the same today. Good days to stay in and craft which is exactly what I did yesterday. I had Daniel for a little bit in the morning while my mum went for an appointment, he is so good! After that I FaceTimed with Andrea while I worked on cards for my next class at The Ink Pad and also made my card for today! Love it when I get on a crafty roll! Taylor and Keira stopped by for a bit and after they left I crafted some m0re and finished the night off with a little TV! Today I’m thinking that it will be another crafty day, I have loads more projects to get finished!

It’s Wednesday so that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

Some colors instead of a sketch this week! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Smoky Slate that I embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, it covers the entire card front. My tag is a piece of Lost Lagoon and I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Stamp and some Lost Lagoon Ink to stamp it after I cut it out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Craft Dies. The butterfly and the greeting are both cut from Blackberry Bliss using the Simon Says Stamp Leanna Butterfly and Small Hello Craft Dies. Before I adhered the butterfly I cut out a piece of Vellum with the Simon Says Stamp Calliope Flourish Craft Die. That and the hello are adhered to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium and then the tag is adhered over some leaves that are cut from Old Olive with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Craft Die. A piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Hemp Twine is tied through the top of the tag and some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets are added for a little shine! I first tried the tag without the stripes and it needed something, I love how a simple stripe can change the whole look of a card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s inspiration cards and enter yours in the gallery! It’s Wednesday and after a day filled with rain and gale force warnings followed by a 4 hour power outage the weather has finally settled down here! I had Daniel for a little while in the afternoon and we sort of watched Home but he kept getting distracted by the jellybeans, lollipops, pretzels and chocolate that I have in the house. I never realized how much junk food that I possess, but he quickly pointed that out! The rain stopped for a bit so I took him out for a ride on his bike, halfway down the block it started to pour so we ran back to the house! He had his hands over his eyes while I pushed and steered! After I gave him back to my parents I went over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and her son Nick was there so he and I played some Heads Up! He’s pretty good! On the way back home Heather called so I stopped by her place and got her and we ran to BJ’s and then went back to her house and watched some TV. This morning I’m heading into Manhattan to see Anna for a bit and then go and pay my friend Isabella a visit!

If it’s mid-week then that means that it’s time for another Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS182 DT Sketch 2-17-2016

I went with a nice simple birthday card! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Essentials:Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL with a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord spooled and tucked behind the upper right corner. Three feathers are cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Feathers Craft Dies from Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hello, Beautiful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder on a piece of Black 110lb. I adhered the greeting over the feathers with Foam Tape. The button is from an ancient sequin pack that I got from Target forever-ago, I tied another piece of the Hemp Cord in a bow and adhered it to the card with a Glue Dot. To give the card some shine I added a few Hazel and Ruby The Makery Shine and Sparkle and Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine and Mossy Green Sequins to the wood panel. I do love the simplicity of the card and the rustic feel that the hemp cord and wood paper give it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today, I wish you a Wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

It turned out to be a really nice day here yesterday! The sun was shining and I went over to Sue’s to do some more Etsy stuff. We had Panera for lunch and got loads of stuff done! I love a nice productive day! When I got home Daniel was at my parent’s and he was in a bad mood so I came home and Taylor and Keira stopped by. They took Winston to Michaels, he got lots of attention! Here he is sitting in the cart…

Win Michaels Cart

They even put a blanket in there. They also decided that they would take him for the night to Keira’s house, Taylor got him a new baby so I couldn’t say no. I have to admit, I miss him being the door monitor! I did stop back over at the ‘rents for some chili and Daniel was in a much better mood, I even got a big hug and a kiss along with an I love you so much Uncle Justin, doesn’t get better than that! The rest of the evening I had quality time with Chip and Joanna on Fixer Upper.

Wednesday and it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

PCCCS181 DT Sketch 2-11-2016

I needed a card that had nothing to do with Valentine’s day! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used some Heidi Swapp Citron Color Shine to splatter on the card front. Across the bottom is a piece of Black 110lb with a piece of Washi Tape across the bottom and on top of that is a piece of Craft Smith Holiday Glitter Paper. My panel is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card, I heat embossed the phrase from the Simon Says Stamp One with Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. It’s stamped repeatedly and offset a bit. Then it was time for some Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink that I applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. The leaves and tree are from the same set and are also heat embossed on Watercolor Card in Clear. I used Twisted Citron Distress Ink to watercolor the images and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Some SNAIL adheres all of the greenery to the card. My greeting is cut from Black 110lb three times with the Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Wafer Die and adhered together with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, some Multi-Matte Medium adheres it to the card. To give it a little sparkle I adhered some Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray and Green from the Christmas Mix Sequins to the panel. I always love a little spatter and the Distress Ink is so great to work with, you can do so much with it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the blog and enter yours in the gallery! Well, I was up nice and early this morning, 4:00am to be exact! I went and picked up Brian and Kim and took them to JFK. An hour round trip, not bad at all! Yesterday after I took Sandy to the airport with Andrew we came back to my house and did a little research on some things that I’m looking to get rid of for a friend. For lunch we went to Monty’s for pizza and then came back to the house and watched Lucifer, I really do love that show! After dinner Heather stopped by and picked me up, we ran to Target and Petco to pick up some things. We stopped back at my house so I could get my car and I went to her house to chill for a bit. Louis stopped by later and by the time I got home it was 12:30am! I think I see a nap in my future! LOL! I have to go and open the store for Renee this morning and then I’m going over to see Sue for a bit. Another fun filled Wednesday!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS180 DT Sketch 2-03-2016

I needed some bright colors and the inspiration for the card is the Patterned Paper! My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Night of Navy, ran through the Big Shot twice to get the rectangle, and a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Flea Market 6×6 Paper Pad. The patterned paper is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. All of the stamped images are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped on Ivory 110lb and cut out with the Coordinating Lovely Day Craft Dies. I used Simon Says Stamp Catkin Ink for the wreath and leaves, Rosie Cheeks for the heart and flower at the top, Teeny Bikini for the flower at the bottom and Mint Candy for the greeting banner. They are adhered with Foam Tape and SNAIL. I added a few Pearls to the flowers and some Pretty Pink Posh Blue Lagoon, Ballerina Pink and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I love the fun mix of colors and I think the patterned paper is a nice contrast to the stamped images! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! And some of the snow melted! Not a lot but some of it and that’s a good thing! I had another pretty laid back day. I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning for a bit and then watched some TV. Just before I headed over to my parent’s to see Daniel and to have dinner I got the urge to watercolor. I sat down and did a freehand watercolor card front. I don’t know if you will get to see it, it’s not that great! LOL! After dinner I took a ride over to A. C. Moore and then Heather called and said that she had made some Pad Thai and asked if I wanted to taste it, of course! I went over to her house and the food was excellent! We had a glass of wine and she has to go for another one of the epidural shots so Brian is taking her and I said that I would tag along too. That’s where I will be this morning!

My post for today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

PCCCS179 DT Theme 1-27-2016

Ahh… love! I have been really into Valentine’s this year too! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card Lawn Cuts to cut out two pieces of paper from the Teresa Collins Something Wonderful 6×6 Paper Pad. The top one has a heart cut out of it using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. I also cut one out of Real Red and used the same heart that I used on the patterned paper to cut out the middle of that one too. I haphazardly adhered the patterned paper to the card and then used some Foam Tape to adhere the heart over the cut out. Some more Real Red is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Scripty Love Lawn Cut and adhered to the panel with Multi-Matte Medium. Up in the top right corner I used a Mini Clothespin to attach a length of the Real Red Pom-Pom Trim. A few Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow and Red Sequins complete the card! I love the cut outs in the paper and the heart and the Pom-Pom Trim is a fun little addition too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the blog to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks very much for stopping by today! Have a wickedly wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
