Paper Craft Crew 257

Yesterday was an interesting day indeed. I got a call from Heather around 9:30 asking me if I would come be her house. She had a meeting with her manager at 10:00 via phone and thought that she was going to be laid off. Guess what… that’s exactly what happened. They are cutting about 50% of the workforce from her company. Such fun times we live in. I took a ride with her to her office to pick up her things and drop off her laptop. For a little cheering up after we went by Stephanie’s and went in the pool with the kids. I haven’t been in a pool all Summer and it was nice! After that I came home and worked on a few things. Taylor stripped by later on and we ran a few errands. This morning I’m off to Sue’s for some more Etsy fun! 😀

Mid-week and time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Today’s card may be one of the simpliest ones that I have made! I was digging around in the Stampin’ Galley and came across a set that I don’t think I have ever used! It’s the Simon Says Stamp To Thine Own Shelf Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the shelves in Kahaki and the books in Thistle, Lake Shores, Catkin and the clock in Smoke. My greeting is stamped in Khaki and that’s the card! It’s a fun card, especially for a book lover! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Back to School Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 113 – Back to School!

Well, I did get a lot accomplished yesterday! Most of it was in front of the computer, not the best way to spend a good part of the day but it needed to get done! The kiddies were at my Parent’s so I went over there for a while and saw them. We all had dinner together and then Taylor stopped by my house for a bit. Today, more computer stuff to get accomplished, JOY! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I kept my card super simple and got to use two stamp sets that have been waiting to see ink for a long time! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the Mama Elephant Words Defined Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp it. My apple is from the Mama Elephant Fresh Fruits Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored in the image with my Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. A little 3M Foam Tape adheres it to the card. Super simple and a good card to mass produce. It’s nice to let all of those teachers out there know that they are appreciated every once in a while! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope that you take some time and share your card with us in the gallery! Stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks you for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Stars Love Galaxy

I had an actual lazy Sunday! I stayed in bed late, didn’t really do much of anything but watch TV. Taylor came by for a little while after she got off of work. I did make a card for today and that was my day. Today I will be spending lots of time in front of the computer, my to-do list just keeps getting longer! 😀

I felt like doing a little ink blending yesterday and thats where this card started. I did that ink blending on a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock with Hero Arts Navy, Grape Juice and Charcoal Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spattered with Heidi Swapp White and Tinsel Color Shine and dried with my Heat Tool. I used the Hero Arts Milky Way Fancy Die to cut out a piece of Shadow Curious Metallic Card Stock and as I was taking out the middle I thought that it would actually look pretty cool on the card instead of the outside. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the die cut and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. For some sparkly stars I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and that finished the card. I actually do love the inside of the die cut galaxy. It looks like a swirly space oddity! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off with me! Have an absolutely awesome Monday! 🙂

Oh Happy Day Balloons

I have been wanting to have a lazy Sunday morning for a while so that’s just what I had this morning! I woke up around 8:00 but laid in bed reading Apple News on my iPad. A good way to start the day. Yesterday was nice, Taylor came by in the evening and we grabbed some dinner. She was off to Manhattan with some friends after that. I watched TV and tried to find a book to read. Any suggestions for a really good book? I’m waiting for the new Dan Brown one but that’s not until October! How is your weekend going? 😀

Ok, I apologize for my obesession with the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Set! I have another card to share with you today using it! It’s such a great set for quick cards and just some stamping! I do love to just do some stamping! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the balloons from the set in Jalapeño, Mermaid and Sugarplum in the upper left corner. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice using my Mini MISTI, I like to use to the MISTI to make sure that my sentiments are lined up! For the strings I used a Coptic Multi-liner and my ruler to draw them in. Some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Lucky and Sea Breeze Sequins add a little sparkle and finish the card. Another quick simple and fun card with not too many supplies! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Seriously Balloons

A late good morning to you! I had a busy day yesterday, it was rainy and dreary so I managed to stay focused and get stuff done around the house. Around 6:00 I went over and met George and we headed out to Bohemia to meet up with Heather at our friend Patty’s house. They were having a party for Patty’s daughter’s birthday. A good time was had by all. I didn’t get home until after 1:00 so I got up this morning and made a quick card to share with you. Not sure what I’ll be up to today but hopefully it will be productive! 😀

The card is a really quick and easy one that uses minimal supplies. I stamped the balloons from the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sunshine and Ballet Slippers onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To fill in some of the gaps I used the tiny star from the Concord & 9th Seriously Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped them randomly in the same colors. Next I popped it into my Mini MISTI and stamped the greeting from the Seriously Thank You Set in Black Licorice. That’s it! I like the card so much I’ll be making a few sets in different colors to give as gifts! I hope that you like today’s quick and easy card! Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday peeps! 🙂

Three of the balloons from the Happy Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set are heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto 65lb Vellum. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered to each other and my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Matte Medium that is strategically placed! My greeting is also heat embossed in Gold onto a piece of Solar White 110lb that is cut out with the banner die from the set. Fab Friday 119

It’s Friday already?! That was another quick week! I had a fun day with my friend Sue. We worked on Etsy stuff and went out to have some lunch. There was a little stop at Marshall’s before we headed back to her house to finish up a little more stuff before I headed home. Last night we had Thirsty Thursday at Heather’s. Stephanie was there and Taylor stopped by for a few. This morning, more things to cross off my to-do list! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have a fun sketch for you…

I got my August My Monthly Hero Kit and had to have a little play! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I used the large die from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a piece of Black 110lb. The little boy on the moon is heat embossed in Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Black 110lb and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I adhered the large Black die cut to the card with Black 3D Foam Squares and the boy on the moon with E-Z Runner. My greeting is also from the set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I flagged the right side and used a few more Black 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to the card. For some more sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the August Hero Kit, so much fun! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! Freshly Made Sketches 301

I guess what they say is true about time flying but I don’t necessarily think that you need to be having fun! I did have a little bit more of a productive day yesterday and today I will be going over to see my friend Sue for some Etsy stuff! Last night Jim came by and we grabbed some pizza for dinner and watched a movie. A nice evening indeed! 😀

The card that I made late last night is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I started by trimming a piece of Solar White 80lb to 4 3/4″ wide by 4″ tall and placed it in my Mini MISTI. That fun image is from the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outline in Black Licorice and then stamped the fill-in images in Peacock, Jalapeño, Juice Box, Carrot, Sunflower and Noble Fir. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set and that is stamped in Peacock. I adhered a piece of Peacock Card Stock to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My stamped panel is then trimmed using the Concord & 9th Select-A-SIze Edge Die and adhered to the card base. I added Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray, Orchid and Lemon Drop Sequins to finish the card. Love that fun pineapple with all of the flowers and the fill-in images make it nice and easy to make it look great! I hope that you like my card for his week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank your stopping by! Have a exciting Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 256

It was a gloomy day here yesterday and despite my best efforts to be productive you know how it goes when it’s gloomy! I binge watched some Netflix and caught up with a few friends. Some stuff did get done but not as much as I had planned. Today is another day and another chance to get caught up! How is your week going?! 😀

Let’s see… it’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card with the usual card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the hydrangea in Moonstone and the leaves in Noble Fir. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. On my card base I added a strip of Silver Glitter Washi Tape and then the leaves and flower with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is stamped in Noble Fir and just a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finishes the card! I do love that hydrangea, especially in the Moonstone Ink! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has made and let’s see your take in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and speccing some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

Another fun filled Monday! LOL! I did get some things done and helped out a few friends in the morning too! We had an extra early Thirsty Thursday last night over at Heather’s! Stephanie was there and George joined us too! We always have such a good time laughing and catching up! This morning I have to get working on my to-do list for the week! I have been putting off way too much stuff! 😀

So it’s Tuesday and what does that mean?! Well, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I’m always looking for a reason to use that Eiffel Tower Die from Hero and this seemed like the perfect opportunity! To start my card I die cut the Hero Arts PaperLayering Eiffel Tower from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used a die from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a plane from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock. They are positioned onto a piece of Black 110lb so that I knew where to heat emboss my sentiment, also from the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit, in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The black panel is adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then the Eiffel Tower and plane are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It needed a little more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins! I do really love that Eiffel Tower and the plane too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have an excellent Tuesday! 🙂
