    SIP Challenge 103 – A Sketch!

Another nice warm day with plenty of Sun! That’s a good way to start off the week, wouldn’t you say?! I got my craft on this morning and made a few cards, cleaned a little and set up some appointments for later in the week. I also made sure that I spent a lot of time outside enjoying the gorgeous day! After dinner I ran over to Heather’s to drop off the chairs that I borrowed. When I got back to my house Taylor stopped by for a bit and then some TV before bed. Not a bad Monday at all! 😀

I played with the new Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit and some of the add-ons for my Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge card…

I started my card by creating a background using some Hero Arts Navy and Grape Juice Ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool to add color to a piece of Solar White 80lb. While it dried I cut out the circle with clouds from another piece of Solar White 80lb using one of the dies included in the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit. Next I stamped the grass and tall grass using some Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto the background and then adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a little Soft Granite to the edges of my “moon” and then adhered that to the background. The cool cat is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bengal Tigers Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Butter to Orange Ombre and Intense Black using my Mini MISTI. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out and adhered him to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Intense Black onto the “moon” and the card is done! I love the way the Hero Arts Inks even out as they dry, even when you blend them onto paper! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! We hope that you will share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

    Paper Players 348

What can I say about my Sunday… well, for starters this was pretty much my view for the day…

That was at 7:30am but you can see that it was a perfect day! They had the Long Beach LGBT Pride on the Beach weekend and Jim had to be there for work so I spent the day with him on the boardwalk. I got to see a lot of people from FREE where I used to work and also got to meet a few people from Jim’s work and they were awesome peeps! I sometimes forget that I live on an island with pretty nice beaches! We were there until 6:00. After we packed up the car we stopped and got some dinner and went back to Jim’s to eat. The perfect end to a wonderful, amazing weekend! 😀

To start off the week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Once again I just wanted to stamp! I created a card base out of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and masked off a section near the top. In that section I stamped the balloons from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits Photopolymer Stamp Set and outlines in Slate, Catkin, Lake Shores and Duckling. After I removed the masks I added a strip of Black 110lb Card Stock to the top and bottom of the stamped area. Just one thing left, I stamped the greeting in Slate and finished! Super simple and extremely mailable! Win-win! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for once again starting your week off with me! Have an extremely excellent Monday! 🙂

  • Mandala Love

    Mandala Love

Well, that was a very nice day I had yesterday! Jim and I went to New Hope, PA. The ride down in the convertible was bliss! We did some walking around the Flea Market for a while. It was a gorgeous day, in the 90’s there. We also walked around the town and had lunch at an Irish Restaurant. Jim had his first shandy and the food was really good. We took our time coming back, stopped at a few places along the way. I rested up for the rest of the evening. It’s an early morning today, 4:30 early, I’ll be in Long Beach helping out a friend with some work stuff! 😀

I have another simple Sunday card for you today! It’s looks a lot more complicated than it is. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Wet Cement, Pool and Cup O Joe Ink using my MISTI. The love is die cut using the Concord & 9th Love Always Frame Dies from a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb. A piece of 48lb Vellum is cut using the hearts die from the same set. I cut it once and then lined it up and ran it through again to make it longer. The two pieces of Solar White 110lb and Silver Glitter Card are adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray and I sandwiched the hearts in-between the two. A few Silver Pretty Pink Posh Sequins finish the card! It really isn’t complicated but that love die cut and the hearts really steps it up! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a simply wonderful Sunday! 🙂

    Freshly Made Sketches 291

Ahh the weekend! What a lovely day we had here yesterday! It was in the 80’s and Sunny! I went for a ride with Stephanie in the convertible in the afternoon and hung out with her and Sophie for a while. We played Kid’s Monopoly, that’s a fun little game! I ran a few errands and then Andrew stopped by and so did Jim. We had a nice evening and today Jim and I are headed to New Hope, PA for the day! Just to do something different and get out of New York! Should be a really fun day! I’ll try to remember to take some pictures! 😀

My post for today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I dug out and oldie but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my background I used the Hero Arts Waves Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply Some Tide Pool Ink to a piece of Solar White 80lb. I trimmed it to match the sketch and adhered it to the card. My goldfish, from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set, is stamped in Light Ruby to Royal Red Ombre Ink for the second layer and the first layer is then stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. After I cut him out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts I adhered him to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black right under my fish. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I still love that goldfish and the stencil brush makes inking the background easy! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have a sensational Saturday! 🙂

  • Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of June! This time we ask you to create a a card with some layers!

I started my card by stamping the flower from the Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lobster Ink. I then placed a piece of 29lb Vellum over the top and stamped the second layer of the flower in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Pearl. The Coordinating Dies cut out both layers, including a little Black 110lb for the flower center, and I adhered them to each other with E-Z Runner, hiding it behind the embossing. To make the background I cut a piece of Black 110lb with the Select-A-Size Edge Dies and adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice right onto the card base. All that was left to do was to adhere the flower to the card with 3M Foam Tape! I love how the vellum softens the bold red of the flower and the funky edge offset is pretty neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Layers Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your card with us in the gallery. Be sure to stop by the BLOG for some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for coming by again! Enjoy the rest of your Friday! 🙂

  • Fab Friday 114

    Fab Friday 114

Happy Friday my peeps! My Thursday was good! I cleaned my apartment and ran a few errands. Jim came by around 5:00 and we went to grab a quick bite and then saw Wonder Woman. Pretty good flick! We got back to my house around 9:30 and Jim headed home and I went over for the last half of Thirsty Thursday. We had to run to the Vape Shop so that Steph could get some refills and we saw Taylor and her friends there. They were going to a local bar so we met them there for a bit and then called it a night. Who knows what today will bring, but it’s supposed to be nice weather, that’s always good! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and this time around we have some colors for you to work with…

I don’t have any of the new Stampin’ Up! colors so I improvised! All of my images and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Black, Teal, Catkin, Rosie Cheeks and Hot Mama onto a piece of Solar White 80lb Card Stock. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop and Orchid Sequins to the flower centers and the card is finished! Super simple and I do really just like to stamp some images, that way you get to use all of that colored ink that you have! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and we hope to see yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by this morning, I’ll be back at 11:00am with my post for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th post! Hope you’ll come back! Until then enjoy your morning! 🙂

  • OSAT June Blog Hop – Masculine!

OSAT June Blog Hop – Masculine!

Hello my friends! We finally had some sun yesterday! I made sure that in between my crafting I went outside frequently! I didn’t do much else, I did have plans to do a lot more, just didn’t have the motivation. I had a quick dinner with my Parents and then ran a few errands. Today I have to do a little cleaning and finished up a few more projects. Good times! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the clever Jessie Holton’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Masculine theme! Hmm… Masculine should be my specialty, but I do loves me some flowers! LOL!!

I have two cards for Father’s Day to share with you! The first one starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Wood Mount Stamp and some Hero Arts Sand to Chocolate Brown Ombre Ink to make my background. Next up is a piece of 48lb Vellum that is cut out with the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Infinity Dies. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Tags Dies to cut out a piece of Kraft, added the black reinforcement and a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine tied through the top. My cool die cuts are cut from Black 110lb using the Hero Arts Hipster Icon Dies, they are adhered to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Dapper Dad Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in the Ombre Ink at the bottom of the tag. I adhered the tag to the Vellum with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and then adhered the Vellum to the card. Simple but definitely masculine!

My second card uses the same base. I stamped the bicycles from the Hero Arts Hipster at Heart Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Granite repeatedly to create a simple stamped background. Across the top I stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Dapper Dad Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black. Another bicycle is stamped in Tide Pool and cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I used 3M Foam Tape to adhere it over one of the stamped bicycles on the card. That’s it! Nice and simple but I do love a stamped background!

I hope that you enjoyed my Father’s Day cards for the OSAT Masculine Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to go back to the start and see clever Andrea Tracy-Tucker has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

  • Paper Craft Crew 247

    Paper Craft Crew 247

Ahh… the middle of the week. Once again zipping by! Another cloudy, misty, rainy day here. Lots of crafting in the morning, a little TV and some planning. I got to see Daniel and Tristan for a bit. My Brother and Erika went to see a concert at Jones Beach, Erika was quite excited about the night out! Taylor came by and we hung out for a while, I love my child, she’s such a good person! Hopefully it will not be raining today and I can get outside for a bit. I think I’m suffering from Sun deprivation! 😀

So what do we have for a Wednesday post? Why this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch of course…

Nice and simple! I started my card by heat embossing the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set onto 48lb Vellum and Blueprint Curious Metallic. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and layered them on top of one another. To adhere them to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I used some 3M Foam Tape. The happy birthday is from the same set and is stamped in Hero Arts Navy Ink onto the card base. A few sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Nautical and Brushed Gold Mixes and the card is done! I love that Mandalas set, especially heat embossed on the different papers! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so go and check it out! Thanks so much for your visit! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  • SIP Challenge 102 – Masculine!

    SIP Challenge 102 – Masculine!

It was a pretty gloomy day here, rained a lot and was overcast for the rest of the day. I stayed inside and crafted and watched TV. Not the most exciting day ever but a productive one none the less. Today I think more rain is on the way but I will need to get out and do something other than be in the house! We’ll see what I can come up with! 😀

It is time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Just because it’s a masculine card doesn’t mean that it can’t have a little color on it! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Pacific Point to cover the front. My background is created with the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp, my MISTI and some Black Licorice and Hippo Ink. It’s stamped only twice, and I skipped a turn with I did the stamping. I trimmed it to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added it to the card. On the strip across the middle I stamped the world map and greeting from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño and Fish Tank Ink and that’s it! I love that Map Love Set, it’s no longer available but maybe if enough of you like it they will bring it back! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Masculine Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out what the rest of the Designers have done and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Bright Happy Day – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Surprise! I’m back with post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on June 9th! Today I’m sharing a single layer floral card!

I started by putting my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock into my Mini MISTI and stamping the greeting from the Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set in Peacock. I left the card in the MISTI and stamped the flowers and leaves from the set in Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Grape Soda, Juice Box, Jalapeño and Noble Fir. It needed some sparkle so I added a few Shimmering Pool Jewels and Lagoon Sequins Mix from Little Things by Lucy! A nice quick simple card that you could easily make multiples of and give as a gift!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on June 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!
