SIP Challenge 57 – Black & White!

Hello my blog people! How was your Monday?! Mine was crazy busy! LOL! No surprise there! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was fun. I got my Notions order in and had one more person for Card Class today. My friend Lori also stopped by to get her dies that she ordered. Around 5:30 the heavens opened up and it poured for about 1/2 hour then the sun came back out. I had a quick dinner with my Parent’s and then came home and started working on some of the 100’s of projects that I need to finish! Today I have a conference call in the morning and Renee has Kids Camp at the store. It’s all a go all the time and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Today is Tuesday and that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge to share with you…

SIP Theme 57 B&W 800

Ahh… Black & White! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and heat embossed the greeting from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The flowers are from the Altenew Dahlia Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outlines in Jet Black and the highlights in Evening Gray and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them all out. They are adhered to the card with a mix of Foam Tape and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins around the greeting to help balance the card out and it’s done! I do love those Dahlias, especially in just the gray and black! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Black & White Challenge! Check out the rest of our talented Design Team’s cards over on the BLOG and let’s see what you come with by sharing your creation with us in the gallery! Mojo Monday 457

Well, that was a busy Sunday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was very busy for a Sunday! We had some visitors from up-state New York and Melissa and her Mum came by to do the cards for this month’s class. My Mum and Dad stopped by too! I had a raging headache in the morning but thankfully two Excedrin did the trick to get rid of that. Well, that and the 8 cups of coffee that I had over the course of the day! It was another hot one too! Nice warm days make me appreciate my car even more! Dad changed the oil in the morning so she’s good for another 3,000 miles! I had dinner with my Parent’s and then I came home and worked on my card for today and took a nap! I was so tired all day! Today Renee has some people for a kid’s class and I have a Notions order arriving , I also need to place some more orders too! Oh how I thoroughly enjoy my job!

How do we love to start off the week? Why with a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo457

My card starts of with the usual base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and added a strip of Watermelon Wonder across the lower half. The large stitched panel is a piece of Tim Holtz Woodgrain Card. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to color it and then die cut it using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card Lawn Cuts. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The smaller square is another piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I stamped with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background in Cup O Joe Ink. I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper. The pineapple, flowers and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Pineapple Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the pineapple in Butter Bar and Caramel Hybrid Ink for the bottom and Lime Green, Field Green and Forever Green for the leaves. The flowers are stamped in Passion Flower and Grape Soda with a little Memento Tuxedo Black for the centers. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Perfect Plum and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I know, you were waiting for the sequins! LOL! Well I added some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Shamrock and Lemon Drop ones! I think that pineapple and the flowers are so neat and the greeting is just great! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter you take on the sketch into the gallery! Thank you for beginning your week here! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Large Orchid Best Wishes

Another hot one and muggy too yesterday, but I love it! I did manage to get a lot accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, more that I thought I would which is always nice! We also had a lady that drove all the way in from New Jersey stop by! She said that there aren’t any craft stores left by her anymore. Now that is a dedicated crafter! After the store closed I headed home, no top down today, it was raining. Had dinner with Mum & Dad and then took Taylor and Kiera to Target. Taylor still isn’t allowed to drive, she’s on Codeine for her throat which she says still hurts. I feel bad for her but there isn’t much you can do, she just has to wait for it to heal. Renee is off today, she’s going to PA for a book signing by one of her old high school classmates. That should be fun!

Today I have a just because card! Just because I wanted to use the stamp set! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock. For my background I used a piece of Bo Bunny 12×12 Beach Day Surf Shop Paper. All of my images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Large Orchid Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Lime Green, White Dye Ink, Ultra Pink and Lemon Yellow. The stems are stamped in Green Hills and I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out. They are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and the flowers with Foam Tape. I stamped the greeting in Onyx Black and then added some Pretty Pink Posh Lime Sorbet, Watermelon and Sand Sequins to give the card a little oomph! I do love the orchids stamped in the green and the way that the White Dye Ink mutes the color! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you for coming by! Have a simply wonderful Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 245

That week just flew by! Happy Saturday peeps! I had one more Card Class yesterday morning at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. They were mostly first timers except for my talented friend Dianne. All had a nice time especially me! We had some new customer in the store too, I really do think that one of my favorite parts of my job is talking to people about being crafty! Love that I get to share what I love with others! It was a hot one here yesterday, I even had the AC on in the car on the way to work but on the way home the top was down. I had dinner with my parents and then came home and made a card and relaxed. Today I have lots to get accomplished at the store and hopefully I will be successful! It’s easy to get sidetracked on the weekend! LOL!

My craftiness that I have to share with you today is my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 245

I used some new goodies that just arrived at the store yesterday! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the bottom is a piece of The Paper Cut Amethyst Stardream Metallic that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Waves Next Level 3D Embossing Folder. on the main panel I stamped the images and greeting from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped in Altenew Lavender Falls, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet and the leaves in Forest Glades Crisp Ink. I stamped the greeting in Midnight Violet and then adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The delicate die cut is cut from 36lb Vellum using the Concord & 9th Blossom Die. A few strategically placed dots of Multi-Matte Medium hold it to the card. And yes, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Pansy Purple and Sparkling Clear Sequins! I do love that flower and the die cut is just awesome! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for taking some time out of your Saturday to visit me! I wish you all an amazing day! 🙂

Paper Players 303

A very happy Friday to you my friends! It was a muggy one here yesterday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was filled with happy people making their cards at the July Card Class featuring Reverse Confetti! We do have so much fun! Andrew and Kayleigh were back! So great to see them both! I had Blaze pizza for lunch and finished it for dinner. Right around 6:00PM it rained and thundered and lightening for about 30 minutes and that actually made the humidity worse. It was a drive home with the AC on kind of evening! I stopped by Heather’s for Thursday Thursday and Stephanie and Brian were there. Around 11:00 Heather had a craving for White Castle so her, Stephanie and I put the top down in the car and went to get some. We drove around like teenagers with the music up nice and high! When I got home around 12:30 I settled in to make a quick card for today. What makes me think that heat embossing and watercoloring is quick I’ll never know! LOL! Today we have the second day of card class and this morning I’m going to visit Taylor, her tonsillectomy went well but she misses her dad!

That “quick” card that I made last night is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #304

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. It’s flicked with some water and then blotted with a paper towel. To give it a little more interest I cut it out with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Stackables Lawn Cuts and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flower is from the Altenew Beautiful Lady Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Platinum Embossing Powder onto another piece of Watercolor Card. I used Picked Raspberry and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks and a Water Brush to color it in. The Coordinating Die is used to cut it out and it’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Platinum. I flagged the right and tucked the left side under the stem. Some Hazel and Ruby The Makery Sparkle & Shine Sequins and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added and the card is done! I do love that water spotted background and the flower from the Altenew Beautiful Lady Set is just gorgeous! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you very much for visiting with me today! Have a fantabulous Friday! 🙂

OSAT July Blog Hop – Shabby Chic

OSAT Blog Hop Banner

I just can’t say enough about how lovely the weather has been here! And down by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store there is a breeze all the time that is just heavenly! Lots got accomplished at the store today! My friend Sue came by to help me, she so awesome! We got everything cut for Card Class. I made a custom stamp for someone with my Mint! That was fun! When I got home my little buddy Daniel was at my Parent’s. I had dinner and then he and I played with his trucks and made it rain grass on them which he thought was pretty awesome! I’m sure that when he starts doing that at my Brother’s house I will hear about it! LOL! He went to see his sister yesterday, here is a little picture of that…

Daniel & Tristan

I think that he will make a very good big brother! He even combed her hair while he was there! The rest of the evening was pretty quiet, just how I wanted it to be! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my good friend Dena’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Shabby Chic theme! Not really a style that I’m good at but I’m up for trying anything! I have two cards and a fun little box to share with you!

Both of the cards use most of the same elements. They both have bases of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered in a piece of Early Espresso. The patterned paper on both is the same too, it’s from Blue Fern and is from the Timeless Collection. The flowers on both cards are from the Altenew Botanical Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed on Tim Holtz Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I used Dusty Concord, Pumice Stone and Bundled Sage Distress Inks and a Waterbrush to color in the flowers and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. On the first card I adhered a piece of the Timeless Paper to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner after distressing the edges. A Tea Lace Paper Doily is then adhered to the left side. On top of that is another piece of the Timeless Paper under a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Spellbinders Savoy Decorative Accent Nestabilities. My flowers are adhered with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. For the greeting I heat embossed the hello from the Altenew Halftone Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and cut it and piece of Fun Foam out with the Coordinating Die. It’s adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Amethyst Sequins finishes the card.

OSAT July Blog Hop Card 2-WM

The second card also has a piece of the Timeless Paper adhered with E-Z Runner. I cut another piece to 3 1/2″ x 4″, distressed the edges and adhered that with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few loose loops of May Arts Twine are adhered under the flowers on this card. My greeting is from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold on a piece of Early Espresso with the right side flagged. Some Foam Tape adhered that to the card and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card.

OSAT July Blog Hop Card 1-WM

My box is cut from the same Blue Fern Timeless Paper using the Spellbinders Makers Mart Month 4 Die Set. I then used some more of the dies to cut feathers out of Gold Mirror Card and leaves out of green card stock. They and a flower that I found at the store along with a piece of the Twine that I tied into a bow are adhered to the top of the box. A super fun and simple project to make!

Paper Craft Crew 202

Happy Hump Day peeps! Another fun day was had at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! In the morning I ran out with Renee’s boyfriend John to get some more hooks, I have run out and used most of Renee’s extras! Oops! When I got back to the store Renee had her Kid’s Class where they made a fun little pocket book. Everyone had a nice time and pizza was enjoyed for lunch! Around 2:00 I got the text that I have been waiting for! I’m an Uncle again! Tristan Shelby Krieger made her way into the world! She was 9lbs 8oz and 21 inches long! Here she is…

Tristan Shelby Krieger

With her uber chubby little cheeks! I think she is wondering why they put that hat on her! LOL! Her big brother Daniel is happy as can be and I reassured him that he is still my favorite! We played with his trucks when I got to my Parent’s and I got a big hug and a kiss and a I Wub You Untle when I left! Last night I went over and spent some time with Brian and Kim. We watched Me Before You, what a sad movie that was! It was good but really sad! By the time I got home from there it was 11:00 and time to start to think about calling it a night! Today I have to get ready for this month’s Card Class featuring Reverse Confetti! Fun!

After a week off we are back over on the Paper Craft Crew blog with their week’s challenge…

PCCCS202 DT Sketch 7-13-2016

I sort of went down the first row! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of My Colors Copper. I partially heat embossed the Hero Arts Irregular Grid Background Stamp onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Soft Pink Ink. I had seen Yana Smakula do a similar thing with a card a few days ago and had to give it a try! The background is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All of my images are from the Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam and the leaves are stamped in Green Apple Hybrid and Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Foam Tape and E-Z Runner with a few loops of Natural Twine tucked underneath. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder onto some Solar White 110lb, the left side is flagged and then it too is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A couple Pretty Pink Posh Marigold and SIP Copper Sequins are added and the card is done! I do like that funky background, makes for a nice change don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! SIP Challenge 56 – Christmas in July!

Another crazy Monday! The morning started off with a visit from Taylor and Kiera at 8:00AM! That’s a little too early for company! I do like to have my mornings to myself. I hurried to get ready and left the house around 9:00 to head over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Once there I settled in to get my Newsletter finished and out! It was done by 11:00! Yay! The rest of the day I spent making parts for upcoming projects. I need to get into the habit of doing that! Renee left a little early, she’s still not 100%. Once 7:00 rolled around it was time for me to go. It was in the 70’s which makes for a very nice top down ride home in the car! When I got to my Parent’s my little buddy Daniel was there along with my Brother and Erika. She thinks that today is the day! Fingers crossed that all goes well. After my little visit with them Heather came by and her and I ran to Target. She is going to have a procedure done on her back this morning. Fingers crossed for her too! I have a bunch of orders to get in for the store and some more projects to finish! Always a busy but great day!

Let’s see… Tuesday… ahh yes, that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Theme 56 800

Christmas in July! I still think that it’s a bit too early for Holiday cards but I guess better early than when I usually start to make them, around November! The base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut a piece of Soft Sky to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals to cut out a window from it. Some Foam Tape is adhered to the back and then it’s adhered to the card. My Poinsettias are from one of last year’s My Monthly Hero Kits. I stamped them in Crimson Hybrid, Raspberry Jam, Red Royal, Butter Bar and Orange Soda for the flowers and Green Hills and Forever Green for the leaves. Some Glossy Accents is added over the flower centers and once they were dry I adhered them to the card with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. My greeting is form the same set and is stamped in Red Royal right in the center of the oval! It needed something else so, yup, you guessed it, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins! I do love the blue background for the nice red flowers and sentiment, really makes is soft but bold! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Christmas in July Challenge! Make sure and stop by the BLOG and check out my fellow Designers cards and enter your in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me! Have a great Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 456

Oh yes, day two of the crop was just as much fun as the first day! I love sitting there and chatting with everyone! We do have a good time and lots of laughs! Today for lunch was yummy salad pizza and then a little treat… some ice cream with lots of toppings! When I left the store at 5:00 I headed over to see my friend Chantal! I haven’t seen her in almost a year! It was her granddaughter Chloe’s Birthday so I went over for dinner. There were some more peeps there and we had a very nice time! By the time I got home it was 9:00, I retrieved Winston from my Parent’s and finished up my card for today. I had started the card at the store just stamping the background. Sometime you just need to stamp and a background is a fun way to do just that! Today I have some more ordering to do for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, I’m running out of room! LOL!

It’s the start of another week and that means a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo456

The base of today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pale Tomato, Dark Quartz, Soft Pink and Tide Pool onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The background is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I then die cut a piece of Strawberry Slush with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares and Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. A piece of Crisp Cantaloupe is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames Lawn Cuts and is adhered to the square with Multi-Matte Medium. The square is then adhered to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Tide Pool onto a piece of Solar White 110lb. I flagged the right side and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered in the upper left and lower right corners, keeping with the sketch! I love the different combination of colors for the background and the way that the sold card stock slightly mutes it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Deign Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you very much for starting yet another week off with me! Moon Feathers Out of this World

What a fun day at the store yesterday! I have to admit that the Crop weekends can be a really good time! We laugh a lot, especially when I post on Facebook that the music is draining the life out of me! I listen to all kinds of music but a day of Lite FM is like being in a never ending elevator ride! LOL! I finally got all caught up on my blog comments! YAY! Thanks to all of the people that left comments for the Hero Arts Blog Hop post! And to my regular peeps you have all been responded to! We can now resume our regular conversations! I had Chinese food for dinner with my Parents when I got home and Taylor and Kiera had Coldstone. Before I settled into the house for the evening I ran a few errands. The rest of the night was spent watching YouTube videos and making my card for today! Day two of the Crop will be in full swing when I get to the store this morning. More laughs for sure!

This card has been floating around in my head for a while so I decided that it was high time that it made an appearance! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed my greeting from the Altenew To the Moon Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of The Paper Cut Pluto Stardream Metallic that was sized to cover the entire card front. The moon is from the same set and is stamped in Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Ink. I stamped it again with the solid image using Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder to give it a nice glossy finish. To cut it out I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits. My feathers are cut from, shocker, Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeabilities Dies. I added a piece of Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to the back of the moon and tucked the feathers under it and adhered it to the card. To complete my outer space feel I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold, Sand and Charcoal Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium. Yes the moon looks a little odd with feathers hanging from it but it was in my head! I told you that it can be a little weird in there! LOL! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for indulging me with your visit! Have a sensational Sunday! 🙂
