Copper Wooden Hip Pop

Now that was a long day! It was sort of overcast for most of it and rained a little here and there but everyday can’t be sunny! Another super busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I had more orders come in and Sue was there to help once again! Some people took the June Lawn Fawn Card Class in the morning and got first dibs on the new goodies! My friend Stephanie stopped by for a bit too! What a nice surprise that was! Sue and I also moved some stuff around to make room for all of the new Hero Arts that came in. Danielle text me at 6:10 to tell me that she was at Blaze Pizza and asked if I wanted anything, yes please! She brought the pizzas to the store and I shared mine with Brian. Last nights class was so much fun! We did it a different way and I think that it went a bit better. They all got packs with all the supplies to make the cards and then went and stamped, colored and cut out what they needed to sitting back down to assemble everything! This month’s cards were not easy ones and every did a fantastic job making them! By the time we were finished it was 10:45! Brain helped clean up and then I stayed and chatted with Danielle until 11:30. Boy do I miss her!! A very long day but so much fun! I’m all set for day two of classes! Can’t wait to share more of the fun!

The card that I have to share with you today is actually one that I made a few days ago! It’s good to have one in my stash just in case! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. My background is a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I heat embossed with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. Before adhering it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner I adhered a strip of Vellum around the left side. All of my images are from the Hero Arts Dapper Dad Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Onyx Black on more Desert Storm 80lb and cut them out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts, the greeting is cut out with my Scissors. They are then adhered to the Vellum Strip with Foam Tape. We all know that I love a woodgrain background but embossed in Copper and it gets even better! I hope that you like my simple Father’s Day card for today! Thank you two much for visiting! Have a phenomenal Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 299

Another stellar day here weather wise! Top down in the Saab to and from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I had a ton of stuff to get done and with a little help from my friends Sue and Brian it all did get finished! I had a Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and Notions order to check in, price and put out. I also had to cut for class. I never realize just how complicated the class cards are until I go to cut! Brian helped with the mountains and Sue and I did the rest! When I arrived home I had some dinner and finished up my laundry, ran out to get gas and then did a late night run to Target. I think I also snuck a little 20 minute nap in there! Today I need to rearrange some things in the store and finish up prep for class, just a few small things left to do. I also have another Hero order coming today, hopefully! Fingers crossed! I really hope to get to have some time to play with the new goodies that came in!

My card that I sat down and made last night is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #299

I had no Dapper Denim so I went with Night of Navy! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Stack. It’s adhered to a piece of Night of Navy and then adhered to the card. The little die cuts are from the June My Monthly Hero Kit and are cut from more Night of Navy. I scattered them about the card and adhered them with Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Stamp Set that came with the kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Real Red. I flagged the left side and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. I’m a sucker for a map background and those die cuts go so perfectly with it! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you for your time today! I wish you all a lovely Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 199

Another busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The weather was just lovely yesterday and it made it a little harder to concentrate! I stopped by my old work to drop a card off for my friend Valerie! It was so good to see her! I was bummed that no one from my old department was there but Nancy was getting an award for something, no surprise there! She is very dedicated to her work! Despite the fact that I kept going outside all day I still managed to get a lot done. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s in time to see my little buddy Daniel! We played outside for a bit and then I had dinner, dropped my stuff off at my house and headed over to Heather’s for an early Thirsty Thursday! A good time as always! Today I have a bunch of orders arriving and my friend Sue is going to come by the store and help! That will be fun!

It’s Wednesday so I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS199 DT Sketch 6-15-2016

I’m getting in the habit of taking supplies with me to the store so I can work on my cards while I’m there. I look like a bag person when I leave the house in the morning! LOL! Today’s card base is Neenah Solar White 80lb cut to 5″ x 10″ and folded in half. I covered the front with a piece of Battleship Gray. Across the top is a piece of Bo Bunny Toy Box Paper, the Cheerful piece to be exact. In the lower left is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags & Accessories Die. I used my Artisan X-Plorer to cut and emboss it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The flowers and leaves are from the Altenew Vintage Roses Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink. The leaves are stamped in Hero Arts Lemon and Butter Bar and they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used Foam Tape to adhere them to the card. A small flag is cut from a piece of Pink and adhered slightly under the flower at the top. My greeting, from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set, is heat embossed on another piece of Pink and cut out with the Taylored Expressions ? Die. I adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. I decided that it needed a little bling so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets and Gold Sequins. I love the colors, especially the leaves stamped in the bright yellow! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards, including the latest addition… my friend Andrea! Add your card to the gallery so we can see your take! SIP Challenge 52 – Card Maker’s Choice and Year Anniversary Giveaways!

SIP Header

Wow! Now that was a Monday! LOL! There are so many aspects of running a store that are pretty stressful and irritating! But you take the good with the bad! I was a busy little boy at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday. I got my cards put up in a display for sale, finally! Remember the store in Wantagh that wanted my cards, well they still want them! I have to find the time to go over and talk to them about that! Now there will be two places that people can buy the cards! Lots of product ordering issues at the store and none of them have easy fixes. Guess you just keep chugging along! When I got home last night I had some spaghetti at my Parent’s and then came home to Taylor watching The X-Files on Netflix. I love that show and have seen every episode! The rest of the evening was spent getting everything together for today’s SIP post! It’s our one year anniversary! I can’t believe that it’s been a year! We have some fun prizes that we are giving away to our three winners this week too! Each of the Design Team members has contributed something! I have added the Lawn Fawn Stinkin’ Cute Stamps and Dies!

While I was at the store yesterday I was going through the stamps that I brought with me and came across this set that I had wanted last year. I decided to do some Ink Blending! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. My background is cut from a piece of 12 x 12 paper, Bo Bunny’s Believe Line the Marvelous piece. All of the images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp and Dies Set. I heat embossed all of the butterflies in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder on a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. They are colored in with Seedless Preserves and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink using a Dauber. The bodies are stamped in Onyx Black and the they are all cut out using the included Dies. I arranged them on the card and stamped the greeting in Onyx Black and then adhered them all to the card with Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Bronze, Ocean Spray Iridescent and Pansy Purple Sequins are scattered about and then card is done! I love those butterflies and I think that they look really cool in the bright colors against that fun paper! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the One Year Anniversary Stamp, Ink, Paper Card Maker’s Choice Challenge! Click below on the NEXT button to go on to Andrea’s blog and see what she has to add to the prize pack and her card! Mojo Monday 452

Another weekend for the books. It was day two of the crop and I managed to get a bunch of stuff done while I was at the Stamp, Ink, Paper store despite my sleeping very late! By the way, the new Sleep Number bed… extremely comfortable! I do have a lot of fun seeing the ladies put together their layouts and I like sharing my cards with them. In fact I sold a card in the morning! We all discussed the tragic news of the shooting at the nightclub in Orlando. I have stopped trying to figure out the world that we live in. I make the most of every day, you never know what can happen. When you really take time to think about what goes on all over this planet it’s pretty sad. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and victims of that senseless tragedy. I hope that things like this make you hug your family and friends a little tighter for just a little bit longer. Now on to happier things, like placing orders and keeping people crafty! That’s what I’ll be doing!

Today I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog for this week’s sketch…

Mojo452

I had stamped my fish on Saturday and decided that he really needed to be on a card, that’s where today’s card began. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Die from a piece of Deep Blue and adhered it to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My larger panel is a piece of Snow Cone that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A strip of Gold Mirror Card is cut out with a die that I found in a drawer in the back, how’s that for a description?! I adhered that to the main panel with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and it’s heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on a piece of Deep Blue also cut out with the Cross Stitched Squares. I added some bubbles from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set and then adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. The goldfish is from the same set and is stamped in Red Royal and Memento Tuxedo Black. I stamped the first layer over the image with Versa-Mark and then heat embossed it in Hero Arts Clear Ultra Fine Embossing Powder. The seaweed is stamped in Hero Arts Green Apple Hybrid Ink and the bubbles in Unicorn White. I adhered the goldfish to the card with Foam Tape and then added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins… done! That goldfish is still a favorite of mine and he looks good in so many different colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Make sure that you stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and don’t forget to enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me!! Have a peaceful Monday my friends! 🙂

Sending Love Fuse Shaker Tag

I hope that you all had a nice Saturday! Of course being at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store how could I not?! Renee has a two day crop this weekend and I love to sit there and chat with the ladies! My friend Ebony stopped by to get some lawn Fawn goodies and I forgot to put something in her bag so when she came back I gave her a free pack of sequins. Love my customers! I left the store around 4:00, another perk of being the boss! LOL! I had to go to George’s and get Heather’s car, which I’m happy to report has a nice new windshield, and go and pick them up from the airport. It started to rain while I was there and I parked miles away. My trusty Dark Sky App told me that the rain would stop in five minutes and sure enough it did! I think George was a little amazed! We had a nice uneventful ride back to George’s and they got me a Starbucks cup from New Orleans as a thank you! YAY! I had a little dinner at my Parent’s and my Dad made spinach dip, so much for the diet! When I got home I decided that I would unplug for a few and just watch a movie. I never do that, turned the iPhone on silent and just enjoyed Olympus Has Fallen. Now there is a one action packed blow everything up movie! Today I have a lot of administrative things to accomplish and a few projects that I want to get finished at the store! What’s on for you today?

My card that I have to share with you today is one that I made using the June My Monthly Hero Kit. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Real Red and used the We R Memory Keepers Dotted Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to add some hearts to the strip and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. My tag is cut from a piece of Kraft using the tag die that comes with the kit. I also used the window die to cut out the front of the tag. A few more of the dies included in the kit are cut from some Daffodil Delight, Shadow Curious Metallic and Pluto Stardream Curious Metallic. To make my shaker pocket I used the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool and one of their 12×12 Page protectors. I have to add that I also have the Silicone Mat and it makes a big difference when using the Fuse Tool! Before I sealed the pocket I added the metallic die cuts and some Silver Sequins. It’s then adhered to the inside of the tag with Scor-Tape. On a piece of Solar White 80lb I stamped the Sending Love and some hearts in Red Royal Ink with the included Photopolymer Stamp Set and adhered that to the inside back of the tag. The two Daffodil Delight die cuts are adhered to the outside and some Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord is tied thorough the hole. Just to make it a little more fun I used Magnet Tape to secure the tag to the card, that way if someone wants to take the tag off and hang it they can! I love the fun goodies included in this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit especially that cool Tag Die! I hope that you like my cool little shaker card! Thank you oh so much for visiting with me today! Have an awesome Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 240

Saturday… ahh… the weekend! It was nice and sunny here yesterday and warmed up enough for a ride home from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with the top down! I got may haircut in the morning and then headed over to the store. Renee and I worked on projects most of the day. Sandy stopped by and picked up her Lawn Fawn Dies. My Mum text me than Daniel wanted to FaceTime me so I called them. He showed me all of his new cars that he got! I wanted to get to see him before he went home so I left the store around 6:00 and spent some time playing cars with him. He is just so cute! After dinner I came home and played with this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit! I made a card with it that I will share later in the week! Today I have to go and pick up George and Heather from LaGuardia. They are coming back from New Orleans, hopefully with their luggage! You know what Delta stands for right?! Don’t expect luggage to arrive! LOL!

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 240

I worked on my card while I was at the store yesterday. The base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Two strips of card stock go down the left, Madras Blue and Mosaic Blue Textured. Yes, there it is, a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I adhered with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam! You knew it was coming! LOL! My butterfly is from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Arctic, Caribbean Sky and Persian Blue Crisp Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut him out and adhered him to the Gold Mirror Card with Foam Tape. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Persian Blue. A generous sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Bermuda Blue Iridescent Sequins and the card is done! I love those Painted Butterflies and the of course that Gold Mirror Card that I’m seriously addicted to! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a very satisfying Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 89

Friday, Friday, Friday! Wee! I still loves me some Friday! I had another wonderful day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! I made a card and finished getting ready for the Stamping 101 Class. Renee got in some cool summer paper from Echo Park and Bella Blvd. and was happily rearranging things in the store to put them out. The class last night was great! Everyone left with a better understanding of the different types of stamps and inks that are available and what you can do with them! More people signed up for next week’s Lawn Fawn Card Class as well as the Introduction to Altenew Class the following week! I’m having so much fun!! Today I’m going to get a haircut before I head over to the store. I have to get busy and place more orders!

I did a sneak peek of my card for this week’s Fab Friday sketch on Instagram yesterday! Here is the sketch…

Fab Fri 89 6-10-2016

I turned it sideways and took a few liberties! Well, at least one! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card with the Spellbinders Postage Stamp Dies using my Artisan X-Plorer and then embossed it. Before I adhered it to the card I added two strips of paper, one Tropical Sea and one Yellow, and then adhered the stamp with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. All of my images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored them in with Copics. The pretzel has some Signo White Gel Pen added for the salt! They are all cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. The I Love NY is stamped in Onyx Black on Lemon Lime and punched out with a 1″ Circle Punch. The Greetings from New York City is also stamped in Onyx Black right on the card front. I love all of the fun images and neat greetings in that set! As an added bonus my friend Eva CASE’d my card and made one for her hometown of Portland! Stop by her BLOG and check it out! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the Design Team BLOG and see what my fellow Teammates have come up with and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to share in a little bit of my day! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

OSAT Blog Hop – Summer Lovin’

OSAT Blog Hop Banner

What started out as a nice sunny morning turned into November! LOL! Around 1:00 it started to pour and got really windy! I choose to wear shorts and flip flips today, bad choice! I did manage to get a few projects done at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! It was a good day to be crafty at work! When I got home I had some dinner at my parent’s, my mum had gone over to see our neighbor whose husband had just passed away. They have been friends for a while and she is a very nice lady. My Dad and I chatted for a bit and then I came home and Taylor was here napping on the couch with binge watching Secrets of Magic on Netflix through her eyelids! Around 9:00 I ran up to BJ’s to get some stuff for work and bumped into Sue and her husband Joe. We talked for a while waiting on line. I miss seeing Sue! When I got back home I finished up my card and then typed my post before calling it a day. I have my Stamping 101 Class tonight, that should be fun!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my good friend Andrea’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Summer Lovin’ theme! Ahh, Summer love, I have had one of those, I miss it!

First up I have a card. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of My Colors Slate. I adhered a strip of My Colors Mini Dot Prairie Hearts Paper down the left side. Some Gold Mirror Card is cut out with the Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents Dies using my Artisan X-Plorer, I also embossed the die cut and then adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My flowers and leaves are form the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Arctic, Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue and Sapphire Crisp Ink for the flowers and Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Ink for the leaves using my Mini MISTI. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on a piece of 46lb Vellum. I trimmed it out with my Scissors and adhered it to the flower with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I was going to add some sequins but I thought that it looked nice just the way it was!

OSAT June Blog Hop Card -WM

The other project I have for you is a box that I made using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. I used the same Card Stock, Dies and Stamps to create it. I love the coordination with the card using the same stamps and shapes! It’s also a lot of fun to dig through Renee’s stash and use things that I normally wouldn’t get to use!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and box for the OSAT Summer Lovin’ Blog Hop! Yes, we had another nice day here! Top down in the car on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I was very productive at work and even got my card made for today which was a good thing! Heather surprised me and stopped by the store with Starbucks and she stayed and did some school work. We had Blaze Pizza for lunch. She text me after she left to say that a rock had hit her windshield. That was an understatement! It almost went through the windshield. She had the car towed back to her house. Around 6:30 she called and told me that her dad was taken to the hospital so I left the store and took her over to see him. We stayed until around 8:00 and then I dropped her off at her house. She is leaving this morning for New Orleans with George for a little get away and I think that she needs it bad! Hopefully she has a good flight and a relaxing time while she’s away! Today I’ll make the final preparations for my Stamping 101 class and get some more samples made!

Midweek and the means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

PCCCS198 DT Colors 6-08-2016

Toady’s card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used all Waffle Flower goodies for the card! The funky background is a piece of Mint Macaroon cut out with the Waffle Flower Tribal Pattern Die. My flowers are cut from So Saffron for the mats and Calypso Coral for the flowers using the Waffle Flower Lacy Flowers and Lacy Flower Mats Dies. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the background to the card and the flower pieces together. The large flower is adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the others with Dot Runner Adhesive. I used the Waffle Flower Tiny Butterfly Die to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. My sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. Renee had some Dew Drops so I adhered a few yellow ones in the middles of the flowers and the card is finished! I really do love the intricate and unusual dies that Waffle Flower has, makes for a nice change! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards over on the BLOG and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
