Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Anything Goes!

Hi peeps and a good Saturday to you! We are supposed to be getting snow today, I sure hope that they are wrong about that! It’s way too early for the white stuff! I’m popping in with a weekend post because we have a new challenge starting over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog today…

What a nice challenge to end the year with!! My card begins with a piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the LOVE from the Concord & 9th Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal, stamping it off. The arrows are stamped in Merman. Onto another piece I stamped the solid LOVE in Merman and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. From a piece of Classic Cherry Card Stock I cut out the LOVE and three arrows. My background is adhered to card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb., the Merman “stamp” with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner, the LOVE, slightly offset, with 3M Foam Tape and the arrows with Multi-Matte Medium. What a fun stamp set that Love You So is!!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Anything Goes Challenge! My Teammates have made some great cards to inspire you so head on over the BLOG head over and check them out! You have all month to play along and we hope you will share your card with us in the gallery! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook!

Fab Friday 127

And it’s Friday again! That was another quick week! I find that the end of the year always goes extremely fast, so much going on I guess! I had a pretty productive day yesterday, I got some commenting done while I waited at Jim’s for the repair man to come. They of course have to come back, need a part. Cali was better with the dogs, they were actually all sleeping on the chair together. I headed over to Heather’s early and we ran a few errands before having dinner. Steph came by and later on we ran to Target where we met Taylor. She came back to the house with us. A nice evening as always! No clue what I’m up to this morning! I’ll figure it out! LOL! πŸ˜€

Today is the last Fab Friday challenge of 2017! It’s a fun one too…

I love to make a nice one layer stamped background card! It’s a great way to stretch your stamps too! All of my images are stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The taxi, pretzel and I love NYC are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. The tree and snowflakes are from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and the greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. Everything is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black except the I Love NYC and snowflakes, they are stamped in Red Royal and Tide Pool. To color in the images I used my Copics and adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Simple and really fun to make! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Christmas Free-for-All! Pay a visit to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! So glad that you stopped by! Have a fabulous Friday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 316

A chilly good day to you! It’s definitely feeing like Winter here today. Chilly but sunny. I managed to get most of my list accomplished yesterday. Jim came by and we had a nice dinner and then watched TV. This morning I’m at his house waiting for the dishwasher repair guy to come. It’s Thursday so I’ll get to see the girls later! πŸ˜€

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you. Before we get to it I want thank Jen M for choosing me for her Prince for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

I started my card by stamping the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background Stamp onto a piece of Solar White 110lb with Tide Pool Ink. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder using the Hero Arts Happy Happy Christmas Wood Mount Stamp. I wanted some gold around the edge of the card base so I took my Versa-Mark Pad and pressed it along the bottom and left edge. Some more Gold Embossing Powder is added and heat set. My background is then adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for extra sparkle and the card is done! Love the simplicity and the gold with the teal! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 271

A somewhat gloomy day here yesterday weather wise but those are good days to get stuff done! I completed a bunch of things in the morning, including getting some gifts ordered. Taylor came by around 5:00 and took Cali over to my Parent’s to have dinner with them. I ran out to a few stores with Heather and got some more gifts out of the way. Heather made a quick dinner and when I got home Cali was over at my Parent’s because my Mum didn’t like that she was alone! I think someone really likes the little dog! This morning I have some cleaning to do and then Jim will be by later for dinner. πŸ˜€

I squeezed in a card lasst night and it’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I definitely took a simple approach! I started by stamping the Hero Arts Snowy Scene Wood Mount Stamp in Hero Arts Lilac to Grape Purple Ombre Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and trimming it so it had no border. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb with a piece of Silver Glitter Card adhered on the left. The panel is then added to a card base of Solar white 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I used some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered to the card. I still love that Snowy Scene stamp, it’s perfect for making a quick card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! You can see more inspiration over on the BLOG and be sure to share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Stuck on You – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again! I’m back with my December Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I have the distinct pleasure of sharing a sneak peek of one of the sets from the December Concord & 9th release with you today! You can also see more peeks of today’s set over on the Concord & 9th Blog!

To start my card I pulled out a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card Stock and used my Mini Ink Blending Tools to add Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon in a gradient starting with the lightest at the top and getting darker as I got to the bottom. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Stuck on You Dies to cut out a piece of Garden Green for my cactus and Cajun Craze for the pot. From the Concord & 9th Stuck on You Photopolymer Stamp Set I stamped the pot in Onyx Black. Along the bottom of the card I stamped the x pattern in Onyx Black along with the greeting in the upper left corner. The pot has tabs on the sides so I added some Scor-Tape to them and a piece of 3M Foam Tape in the middle. My cactus is adhered with E-Z Runner and the pot over the the cactus. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins for a little sparkle and the card is done! I love the way that dies cut in the needles on the cactus and the pot has that nice dimension to it!

I hope that you like my card for the December Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on December 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Simple Branch Sympathy

Ahh… another weekend flew by!  Mine was nice and busy. Saturday Jim and I decorated the outside of his house and painted the inside of the kitchen cabinets. Yesterday I went and picked up Heather and George from the airport and then Heather and I ran a few errands and we had dinner together. This morning I’m out at my Brother’s watching the kiddies. I’ll be doing this on Monday’s for the next six months. They are so good, so far! LOL! πŸ˜€

I have a simple one layer card to share with you today. Someone asked me if I had any sympathy cards the other day, I realized that I didn’t so I wanted to come up with nice easy one that was quick to put together. To make the card I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The brach is stamped in Doe and the flowers in Moonstone. Mt greeting is also stamped in Doe. For the flower centers I added Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Quick and easy to make and super simple to mass produce too! I hope that you like today’s quick card! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

Global Design Project 115

Ah yes, Friday, the end of what has been a pretty long week. I managed to get through a few projects yesterday, not as many as I wanted to but I’ll see what I can get done today. I went over to Jim’s last night for dinner and to meet up with our friend Laura to start planning for next year’s fundraising event. Cali met Jim’s dogs and they were ok together, it will be a while before they are best buddies. Cali has a little bit of a Napoleon complex, small dog syndrome as I like to call it! She needs to be in charge! The more time she spends with other dogs the better she will get. I’m off to get a haircut this morning and then catch up with my friend Greg. πŸ˜€

I was looking around for a challenge yesterday and remembered the Global Design Project, haven’t done that one in a while and they have a nice simple one this week…

No stamps on today’s card, just some cool die cuts! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. From a piece of Red Glimmer Paper I cut out the poinsettia from the Essentials by Ellen Poinsettia and Pine Dies and the JOY from the Essential by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. The pine branches are cut from some Garden Green and adhered with E-Z Runner. I left the negatives in the poinsettia and after I adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape I added Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the center. The JOY is also adhered with 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! I love the fun sparkly pop of red against the dark woodgrain background, makes for a fun holiday card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Global Design Project Christmas Joy challenge! Thanks for finishing out your week with me! Have a fantastic Friday and an awesome weekend! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 315

A good morning to you all! I managed to get a lot of the things on my list done yesterday, always a good feeling. Cali has been adjusting really well and has been good. I took her over to Heather’s last night and she played with Boris chasing him around the house. I pretty sure that Boris thinks he’s a dog and it was even funnier because he’s bigger than Cali! Here is what most of Cali’s day looks like, she likes to mess up the couch and then take long naps!

Today I’m starting the big card organization project, that is going to take a looooong time! LOL! But will be worth it to have everything in places that make it easier for me to find! πŸ˜€

I managed to squeeze in a card yesterday and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

What a nice simple sketch! To start my card I used a new tool that I recently acquired, the We R Memory Keepers Fram Punch Board. I created my frame out of a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. All of the images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb to fit behind the frame and stamped the branch in Doe and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass and JalapeΓ±o. The greeting is stamped in Black Licorice. I added the frame to a piece of Acetate and then put 3M Foam Tape to create my well for the Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. The stamped piece is adhered to the framed piece to create my shaker. Next I positioned the shaker on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped a few more leaves. The shaker is then adhered to the card. I really do love that Beautiful Branches Set, it’s definitely becoming a favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have an amazing Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 270

Happy Wednesday peeps! I had a nice visit with my friend Ella in Manhattan yesterday. It was a quick one, the city is very busy now through the end of the year with everyone coming in to see the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center and the windows in a ll of the stores. A little too crowded for me to go on my usual little walks! Taylor was off so she took Cali to her house and then came back to my house and waited for me to get home so she wouldn’t be alone. Jim came by after work and we ran a few errands and then gave Cali a bath to get all of the shelter off of her. She is still being really good, let’s hope that she stays that way! This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and some things to get done on the computer. Another busy day! πŸ˜€

Middle of the week and I have my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge to share…

It looks like a really complicated sketch but I took it down to a one layer card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I placed it in my Mini MISTI, I find myself using the MISTI more and more for stamping all the time, it’s nice to have the option of double stamping if necessary! All of the images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set. The lines are stamped in Black Licorice, the flowers in Peachy Keen and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass. I also used Black Licorice for the greeting and then added some Peach Iridescent and Lime Iridescent Sequins from my stash to give the card a little sparkle! I have said it before, I love a nice simple single layer card and these would be great to make multiples of with your MISTI! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 127 – All Wrapped Up!

Hello friends! I had a nice day with my little Cali yesterday. She has been so good, almost too good to be true. I took her over to Andrew’s Parent’s house to see his Mum and Dad. Then Andrew came over by me for a bit, he loves Cali! LOL! She is such a mush and goes to anyone. Taylor stopped by with her friend Jess and she was quite fond of the little miss too! I’m going to go into Manhattan today and Taylor is going to watch her for a little bit for me. I feel so bad that she will be home alone for a few hours but what can you do?! I think I’ll get a little carrier for her so that I can take her on city trips with me! πŸ˜€

It Tuesday and time for new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went with some tags, surprise! LOL! To create them I used the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies to cut out three tags from Desert Storm 80lb. For my images I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The branches are stamped in Doe and the leaves in Yeti Pigment Ink. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the white ink drying. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Noble Fir over the images on the tags. In the top of the tags I punched a hole and tied some Natural Twine through. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are complete! I do love to make tags, these will go nicely with a prezzie wrapped in kraft paper! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp , Ink, Paper All Wrapped Up Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of Team’s projects and that you will share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚
