SIP Challenge 181 – Colors!

Hello and and a Happy Tuesday to you all! It’s a little rainy here but not too cold so I’ll take that! How are the first couple of day of 2019 treating you?! My year has been pretty good so far, let’s hope that it just keeps getting better for all of us!

It’s time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

Nice and easy! I was pressed for time so I went with super simple for my card! I stamped the bird and branch image along with my greeting from the Concord & 9th Songbird Photopolymer Stamp Set in Amalgam Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. To color in the bird I used my Prismacolor Pencils. Just some simple coloring using the blender pencil to smooth out the lines. All that was left to do was to adhere the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock! A nice simple card just to let someone know you are thinking of them! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Feature Friday for Concord & 9th – Grateful for Everything!

Happy last Friday of August to you all! I can’t believe that the Summer is almost over! It went so fast. I had a very nice week that I spent at Jim’s house in Pennsylvania. The weather was perfect, no rain and nice and warm. I even went in the lake! We also made two headboards from palette wood. I love the way that they came out! You’ll have to let me know what you think!

I think they add a nice rustic look that’s perfect for a lake house! I came home last night and didn’t hit any traffic until I got to the George Washington Bridge. There is always so much traffic in New York, even at 9:00PM! 😀

It’s time for our last Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th’s August release. Today we are featuring the Grateful for Everything Stamps and Dies! A beautiful floral spray that is slightly larger than an A2 card.

I felt like using my colored pencils to do a little coloring so I stamped the floral image from the Grateful for Everything Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice onto a piece of Kraft. Once I had finished my coloring I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.

My greeting is cut from a piece of Black 110lb and adhered to a card base of Kraft Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The floral image is added and I used my Scissors to trim off the overhang and the card is done! Nice and simple, you could stamp a few of the floral images and take them with you to color!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! Thank you so much for visiting and have a spectacular weekend! 🙂

SIP Challenge 141 – A Sketch!

Hello my fiends! How was your weekend?! Mine was great! Saturday morning I went and helped with a basketball game at the church with Jim. After that we had lunch and then later on he came by my house and I made sausage gravy and biscuits for dinner. We also watched Kingsman. On Sunday I went into Manhattan to see my friends Jim and Diane in the morning and then met up with Kim for brunch and a nice long walk through Central Park. On our way back from the park I found a wooden shipping crate so I brought it home so that Jim and I can turn it into something fun! Yesterday I had Daniel and Tristan. They were great as always. Today we are to get some more snow and I still have laundry to do from last week! Yikes! 😀

It’s Tuesday so that means time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

My friend Andrea sent me the new Stampin’ Up! Stamparatus and a few new goodies so I used them on my card for today! It’s been a long time since I played with Stampin’ Up! products! Onto a panel of Crumb Cake I stamped the flower and greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Amazing You Cling Mount Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Stamparatus. The flower is colored in with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and to finish off the greeting I die cut a piece of Black 110lb with the amazing from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate You Thinlits and adhered it to the panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Black 110lb to cover the front. A strip of Stampin’ Up! Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper goes down the left and the stamped panel is adhered to the caed with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card! I love that amazing die cut, it really is amazing! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! You can see more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 138 – Card Maker’s Choice!

Hey! How are you all?! I’m ok, had a really quiet weekend, not my favorite kind but it is what it is. My Brother and Erika stopped by on Saturday with the kiddies to see my Mum for a bit. She is still not great but the kids did get her mind off of the pain that she is in for a while. Yesterday I worked on a bunch of stuff that needed to get done. I have to run to the Post Office at some point today to mail out some goodies to peeps. I did manage to make a shadowbox scrapbook page for Jim to give to a friend last night. This morning, the usual stuff to get through. It’s super foggy here and they say that it’s going to take a while to clear up, good times! 😀

With my lack of Mojo I have missed the last two Stamp, Ink, Paper challenges! But I did manage to get a nice simple card made for this week…

I wanted something bright and simple, I also just felt like coloring, nothing fancy! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the Concord & 9th Wonderful Florals Photopolymer Stamp in Hippo using my Mini MISTI. I went really bright with some Prismacolor Premiere Pencils. A little shading on the leaves and simple coloring on the flowers. These would be great to stamp and either take with you and color on the go or send a set to someone with some pencils for them to color in! So there you have my simple bright Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Card Maker’s Choice Challenge! Lots more inspiration over on the BLOG so be sure to stop by and check it out! We love when you share your creativity with us by entering your cards in the gallery! We can’t wait to see what you make! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 318

Good afternoon from the frozen tundra! We are having a big snowstorm today, it’s windy with blizzard conditions… and yes… I’m over it! LOL! Guess I’ll be finding things to do around the house! I had a quiet day yesterday, some errands and a little time with Taylor last night. Getting gas last night was a treat! People go into full blown panic mode, like we have never had snow before and this will be the last time that they can get gas for at least a month! Relax peeps, everything will be ok! If there is anyone out there with some really nice weather that they would like to send my way I would really appreciate it! 😀

I was looking around this morning for a sketch and found that Freshly Made Sketches is still going on from before Christmas…

I had the urge to color this morning so I took out the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set and my Prismacolor Pencils! The flowers are stamped in Hippo on a piece of 110lb Card Stock from the Storm Clouds Pack. I did a little no line coloring but kept it simple and bright. Onto a card base of another piece of 110lb Card Stock from the Storm Clouds Pack I stamped the Hello in Noble Fir. A strip of Amethyst Stardream metallic goes down the left and the floral panel is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A simple but really fun card to make and that Hello Lovely floral is still one of my favorites! I hope that you like my little bit of craftiness for today! Thanks for visiting! Have a warm and cozy Thursday! 🙂

North Pole Fishing

Happy Friday! I had a very productive day yesterday while waiting for the new door to be installed at Jim’s house. I caught up on all of my Blog comments, all 100 of them! And yes, that took all day! LOL! When Jim came home we ran to the grocery store and then I helped him make stuffing for his lunch at work today. We also made some Shoo-Fly Pies using my Grandmother’s recipe and they came out really good! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s for a little Thirsty Thursday! Always good to see my ladies! Today I want to get some things done but as you can see by late post the morning isn’t going as planned! 😀

I did squeeze in a quick card this morning using the October My Monthly Hero Kit. To start the card I cut out a piece of Soft Sky with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The images are all from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Black. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color in the eskimo and the ice. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Pacific Point that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. A strip of Galvanized Curious Metallic goes down the left side and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the card! I love the images in the Kit, they are much easier to color in with pencils too! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for coming by for a visit and hope that you have a fabulous weekend! 🙂

Hello Lovely Butterfly – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on May 9th! Today I’m sharing another single layer card!

For my card base I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my mask I stamped the butterfly from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal in and then stamped it again onto a Post-it Note. The one on the Post-it is cut out with my Scissors and placed over the one stamped onto the card. Next I stamped the floral cluster from the Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set Again in Narwhal along with the greeting. To color the images in I used Prismacolor Pencils. I went a little darker on the butterfly to make it stand out a bit more. It needed just a little something so I added some random dots with a Gold Sign Gel Pen. These really are two of my favorite sets from Concord & 9th and I love the way the butterfly turned out!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and that you will give masking a try! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on May 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Bamboo Birthday

Hello all and a happy Saturday to you! It was a little chilly here yesterday and somewhat dreary. We had a busy day at the Store, got to meet some new customers and I got to help a very nice lady with some thank you cards. I had to stop at the Post Office on the way home to drop off an order and I had a little dinner with my Parents when I got home. The rest of the evening was spent just relaxing and watching some TV. Today there is a crop at the Store, I will get to see the ladies! 😀

I have a card that was inspired by a one that Yana made the other day to share with you. I started by stamping the flowers from the Altenew Bamboo Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Solar White 80lb and then colored them in with my Prismacolor Pencils. I don’t have the dies for them so I used my trusty Scissors to cut them out. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Kraft Card Stock and some of the berries from the Bamboo Rose set, colored them in with pencils and then tied a piece of May Arts Twine around the top. The panel is then adhered to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All that was left to do was to adhere the flowers with 3D Foam Squares. I have always loved the way Kraft looks on a card, I think that it makes the flowers really pop! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for your visit today and wish you a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 490

Oh, it’s Monday already. The weekend really does go so fast! I did have a very nice day off! I ran a few errands in the morning and then Jim came over with lunch and we worked on his crafty project a little more. The rest of the evening was spent watching a TV and just being. It felt so nice to do not much at all. Today back in the swing of things at the Store! 😀

It’s Monday and time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. The notebook paper is a piece of Authentique 12×12 from the Twisted Collection. I adhered it to a piece of Black and then added some May Arts Ribbon around the middle. A piece of Echo Park Wintertime This & That 12×12 is adhered to a piece of Chinese Red and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My image and greeting are from the Hero Arts Welcome Home Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored in the bunny with Prismacolor Pencils and adhered him and the greeting to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I love that simple cozy little bunny sitting on the pillow, so cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards, we hope to see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off here with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Hello Lovely Flowers

Thankfully they were wrong about the snow again! It flurried for a little while and then turned to rain. We had a bunch of visitors at the Store today including my friend Jodi and a new customer! I worked on cards most of the day, I’m taking today off so I wanted to get ahead a little. Renee left early to go and celebrate her grandson’s Birthday, I hope that she had a good time! I had dinner with my Parents when I got home and then spent some time with Taylor before heading over to see Sue. She needed a little assistance with a new wireless router that she got. We got that all set up and all of the devices connected! On the way home I stopped at Target to pick up a few things and then relaxed for the rest of the evening. Today  have some cleaning to do, fun Sunday! LOL! 🙂

I was in the mood to color and not be very particular about it so I stamped the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with my MISTI. To color in the image I used Prismacolor Pencils, adding some French Gray around the image to give it some depth. The panel is mounted to a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added. A very simple but bright and fun card, and it’s technically one layer too! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you so much for stopping by and wish you a nice Simple Sunday! 🙂
