Wisteria Black First Edition Type Oldie

Happy Saturday everyone. Welcome to the start of our three day weekend. For today’s card I found one that I made a while ago and it made me remember how much I like the stamp set and miss it. This card is also a great example of how you can make a great card with just a Stamp Set, Punch, Card Stock and Designer Series Paper. The base of the card is a note card size piece Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used a piece of First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper for the background. The typewriter image, stamped in Basic Black, is from the You’re My Type Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini and is no longer available. I backed it with some Wisteria Wonder Card Stock and punched out a piece of Basic Black Card Stock with the Decorative Label Punch and cut it in half and mounted it to the top and bottom of the Wisteria Wonder. The “a little note…” is stamped in Basic Black too. A few of these put together in a box would make a great gift and the main image could easily be swapped out for another current one. I hope that you like today’s card and thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

Oh, I’m thinking of doing some blog candy! Maybe a stamp set from the new catalog… possibly starting Monday… who thinks that is a good idea?!

CCMC 202 and Sneak Peek

Happy Wednesday everyone! I love Wednesday’s because it means we are halfway through the week! It was rainy and damp here all day except for 10 minutes when the sun peeked out and it felt like summer. It’s nice and sunny this morning, hopefully this is just a little taste of things to come! Today’s card is for a the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. I haven’t done this one before and I got my card in just in time! This weeks challenge is a color challenge and they have given us these colors to work with…

I love these colors! Especially Poppy Parade, one of the retiring In-Colors. I started with a base of Pool Party cut to 7″ x 5″ and scored it at 3 1/2″ to make it a note card size. The background of the card is a piece of Designer Series Paper from the 6 x 6 In-Color Stack that is still available on the clearance rack. The image/greeting is from the Layered Labels Stamp Set* and is stamped twice, once in Pool Party and again in Poppy Parade. I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies* to cut out the image and then used the Large Oval Punch to punch to punch out the greeting from the Poppy Parade image. The basic Black Card Stock was also cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies* and then embossed using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamped images are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ribbon is 1/4″ Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon and is Retired. I’m so glad that I saw the color challenge and love the new products from the 2012-2013 Catalog. I hope you like the sneak peek and the card and thanks for stopping by!

PPA 135 and Sneak Peek

Good Sunday morning to everyone. I hope that you are having nice weather and enjoying your weekend wherever you may be. I had a nice ride with the top down in the car today! It’s supposed to be nice here tomorrow too. Today’s card is for this weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge and we have this sketch to work with…

I wanted to give you a bunch of sneak peeks with this card and I have done just that. I started with a base of Summer Starfruit* Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Midnight Muse* Card Stock, placing it in the middle, and left 1/2″ border. I used the new Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies** to cut out the piece of Comfort Café Designer Series Paper**. I also used them to cut out the stamped image from the Layered Labels Stamp Set** which I stamped in Midnight Muse*. I cut another one the same size in Summer Starfruit* and place it behind. I used the Labels Framelits Dies to cut out a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock and then ran it through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamped image is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Midnight Muse* and Summer Starfruit* across the top are both punched on the one edge with the Scallop Edge Border punch. For a little added texture I used the Perfect Backgrounds Texturz Plate*** on the Summer Starfruit* piece. I cut out some butterflies with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit in Midnight Muse and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them too. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Pals Paper Arts card and thanks for dropping by. Have a great Sunday!

Mojo 241 and Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy Thursday to you all. It finally stopped raining here yesterday afternoon and went straight into summer. It was about 78 degrees and humid, I’ll take that over wet and rainy any day! Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is from Teresa Kline…

I decided that I wanted to use some Naturals White Card Stock because when you stamp on it it gives it that older look. The base of the card Is Naturals White and to that I added a piece of Pool Party that I ran through the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 embossing plate. They are on the Retired list and I’m sad to see them go. They are great if you just want some subtle embossing. I took a piece of Island Indigo Card Stock and ran that through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then punch the two outside edges with the Eyelet Border Punch. The greeting and the image are form the new Forever With You Stamp Set* and are both stamped in Island Indigo, I cut the image out with my Paper Snips. Both are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a little finishing touch I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit with some more Naturals White Card Stock and mounted the butterfly on Stampin’ Dimensionals too. I hope that you are enjoying the sneak peeks and thanks for coming by. Have a fantastic day!

Paper Players #95 and Sneak Peek

Good Monday morning to everyone! Did you all have a nice weekend and a Happy Mother’s Day? I spent the day on Saturday with my daughter Taylor. She made a Mother’s day card for my mom and we went to lunch ran some errands. Sunday we had lunch with my parents and then I went to see my friend Chantal so all in all a good weekend! Today’s card is for this weeks Paper Players Challenge. Ann has given us this great color combination to work with…

This was one of those cards that as soon as I saw this I knew what I was going to do. It happens rarely but I love when it does. I started with a base of Baja Breeze. The top and bottom strips are from the new Patio Party Designer Series Paper (2012-2013 IB&C) and the middle strip is Daffodil Delight that I ran through the Big Shot using the hearts from the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. The greeting and cupcakes are from the new Carry On Stamp Set (2012-2013 IB&C) that is available as one of the Host(ess) choices. I stamped them all in Poppy Parade (retired List) on Whisper White Card Stock. The greeting is backed with Poppy Parade Card Stock (Retired List) and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The cupcakes are punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and adhered with SNAIL. For the finishing touch I stamped the “AND” and used the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies (2012-2013 IB&C) to cut it out and used a Stampin’ Dimensional behind it for some pop. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Paper Players Card and that you are looking forward to the new catalog. Have an awesome day and thank you for stopping by.

Artichoke Sand Vermillion

Good morning to you all. Ahh… the weekend, how I love it! I will be crafting for most of the day today. I’m going to sneak out at some point because it’s nice here on Long Island today. Is everyone ready for Mother’s Day? Today’s card is a simple thank you card. I started with a piece of Sahara Sand Card Stock cut to 3″ x 6″ and scored it at 3″ and folded it in half. The stamped image is one of my favorites, Young Vermillion Wood Mount A la Carte, and he is stamped in Always Artichoke. He is on the Retired List and I will miss him. I ran a piece of Always Artichoke Card Stock through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Always Artichoke. I mounted both stamped pieces to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card makes a great thank you to put with a gift or Stampin’ Up! order, as this one was used for. I hope you enjoyed the little bird today and thanks for stopping by. Have an amazing day! 🙂

I have lots of cards to make and I can’t wait to get started. Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is by Julee Tilman…

For my card I started with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and I added a piece of Daffodil Delight that I ran through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The piece of Designer Series Paper is actually a sneak peek and is from the new Floral District DSP. The piece I used coordinates with Daffodil Delight. I used my Circle Scissor Pro (Retired List) to cut out the stamped image, also a sneak peek from the Betsy’s Blossoms Stamp Set, and it’s stamped in Primrose Petals, one of the new 2012-2014 In-Colors. I cut out a piece of Gumball Green Card Stock, another of the 2012-2014 In-Colors, to back it and adhered it to the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flagged piece is Primrose Petals (2012-2014 In-Colors) and the greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set. The flower is also from Betsy’s Blossoms and is stamped in Primrose Petals (2012-2014 In-Colors). I used my Paper Snips to cut it out and mounted it on a circle that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. A piece of Gumball Green Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a Brights Collection Designer Button finish off the card. I hope that you are enjoying the sneak peeks and if you want a new catalog click the contact me link at the top and I’ll send you one. Have a great day and thank you for visiting!

Paper Players #94

Good morning peeps! It’s been rainy here and just miserable, it’s supposed to clear up for the weekend let’s hope it does! Today’s card is for this weeks Paper Players Challenge. They have asked us to celebrate our mothers…

Which is quite timely since Mother’s Day is this coming weekend and who doesn’t want to celebrate their mother?! I started with a base of Perfect Plum and used my Eyelet Border Punch to punch two sides of a piece of Rose Red Card Stock. I stamped the leaves image from the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set in Certainly Celery on Whisper White Card Stock. Then I stamped two of the solid image flowers in Rose Red and cut them out with my Paper Snips. They are mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The mom is from the retired Messages for Mom Stamp Set and is stamped in Perfect Plum, I used my Paper Snips to cut them out and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them to the card. I stamped the greeting from the same set on Perfect Plum and flagged the ends with the 1″ Square Punch and adhered it with still more Stampin Dimensionals. I’m really liking the color combination and hope that you are inspired to make your mother a nice card for this Sunday. Thanks of dropping by and have a great day!

Bashful Indigo Daffodil Red Soaring Farewell

Happy Sunday people! I hope that you are having a good weekend so far. I had a very nice day yesterday in the city. I was all over the place. Today’s card is a farewell to one of the sets that didn’t make the carryover list from the Occasions Mini, Send Me Soaring. I love the kites and I have seen them used in all kinds of ways, even stamped in a row as a border. I started with a Note Card size Whisper White card from the Note Card and Envelope Pack. I added a pice of Bashful Blue for the sky. The kites from the Send Me Soaring Stamp Set (Retired) are stamped in Island Indigo, Real Red and Daffodil Delight and are cut out with Paper Snips. The cloud is the icing from the Create A Cupcake Builder Punch. I stamped the greeting, also from Send Me Soaring, in Island Indigo and punched it out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch and backed it with a piece of Real Red punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. Some Whisper White Bakers Twine makes the perfect kite strings. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the finishing touch I stamped some birds from the Up, Up and Away Stamp Set in Island Indigo. It is a happy little get well card and I hope that you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for dropping by and have a great day!

Happy Birthday Heather!

Good morning all, it’s FRIDAY! Here comes the weekend and I can’t wait! Yesterday was my friend Heather’s birthday. She is a sweet and wonderful person and real girlie girl so I figured that it was the perfect opportunity to use my new Petite Purse Bigz Die. I used a piece of Perfect Plum Card Stock for the purse. I added the holes for the handle and the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper to the flap before I used Sticky Strip to put the purse together. I used a piece of Whisper White 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired List) over the handle and attached it with two Silver Mini Brads. Around the bottom I used Sticky Strip to adhere some Blushing Bride Ruffled Ribbon (Occasions Mini-Retired). The greeting on the purse is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Wood Mount Stamp Set and is stamped in Perfect Plum and punched and re-punched with the Word Window Punch. For the card I cut a piece of Perfect Plum to 3″ x 6″, scored it at 3″ and folded it in half. I placed a piece of matching Twitterpated DSP on the front. The greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and again is stamped in Perfect Plum, mounted on Perfect Plum and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched out some flowers with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and adhered them with some Mini Glue Dots. A Basic Jewels Rhinestones on each flower complete the card. I stamped some flowers from the Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set on the front of the envelope in Perfect Plum and Blushing Bride (Retired). Heather loved the card and purse and I hope that you enjoyed it too. Have an awesome day! 🙂
