Paper Craft Crew 281

Hello from foggy Long Island! It was a beautiful day here yesterday! We got up into the 60’s, something we haven’t seen in a while! I made sure that in between trying to get some work done I went outside to enjoy the mild weather. So nice to not have to put a jacket on! I did manage to get a lot accomplished and finished off the evening with a Target run and a little TV. This morning I’m going to get a haircut and do some things around the house. It’s supposed to be warm again and then we are to have rain for the next four days. At least it’s not snow! 😀

I also squeezed in a card yesterday for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I used one of my all time favorite color combos and some new to me goodies! My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Concord & 9th Many Thanks Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp stamped in Merman, Peacock, Freshly Cut Grass and Hippo using my MISTI. I find that if you print out the alignment guide from the Concord & 9th web site it makes it so much easier to get a perfect image! I added the background to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My panel is a piece of 53lb Iridescent Vellum with the corners rounded on the right. The greeting is cut from Peacock using the Concord & 9th Fabulous Phrases Dies. I added it to the vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Along the bottom is another piece of Peacock cut out with the Concord & 9th Many Thanks Dies. That is added to the Vellum with 3M Foam Tape. To adhere the Vellum to the card I used Multi-Matte Medium behind the die cut and XOXO. I liked the shimmer on the Vellum so much that I decided to use my Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer Pen to add some more to the dies cuts. All that was left to do was to round the right side corners of the card and done! I forgot that I had the Vellum and I love the way it add some shimmer and tones down the background but you can still see it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a Wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 138 – Card Maker’s Choice!

Hey! How are you all?! I’m ok, had a really quiet weekend, not my favorite kind but it is what it is. My Brother and Erika stopped by on Saturday with the kiddies to see my Mum for a bit. She is still not great but the kids did get her mind off of the pain that she is in for a while. Yesterday I worked on a bunch of stuff that needed to get done. I have to run to the Post Office at some point today to mail out some goodies to peeps. I did manage to make a shadowbox scrapbook page for Jim to give to a friend last night. This morning, the usual stuff to get through. It’s super foggy here and they say that it’s going to take a while to clear up, good times! 😀

With my lack of Mojo I have missed the last two Stamp, Ink, Paper challenges! But I did manage to get a nice simple card made for this week…

I wanted something bright and simple, I also just felt like coloring, nothing fancy! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the Concord & 9th Wonderful Florals Photopolymer Stamp in Hippo using my Mini MISTI. I went really bright with some Prismacolor Premiere Pencils. A little shading on the leaves and simple coloring on the flowers. These would be great to stamp and either take with you and color on the go or send a set to someone with some pencils for them to color in! So there you have my simple bright Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Card Maker’s Choice Challenge! Lots more inspiration over on the BLOG so be sure to stop by and check it out! We love when you share your creativity with us by entering your cards in the gallery! We can’t wait to see what you make! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Fab Friday 131

And a happy Friday to you! I was over watching Daniel and Tristan again yesterday. Tristan has given up on her naps, maybe she just likes to spend time with me?! LOL! We had fun as always, she is such a smart little girl! After work Jim came by and we had a little dinner and watched TV. Nice to relax for a bit! This morning I have a lot of computer stuff to get finished and a little cleaning and laundry to do. Not sure what’s on for the weekend but hopefully something fun will materialize! 😀

It’s time once again for a Fab Friday challenge…

I do enjoy a nice simple sketch! Onto my card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of patterned paper from the Pebbles Yours Truly 6×6 Paper Pad down the right side flagging the bottom. My ampersand is from the January 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from apiece of Classic Cherry. I added some sparkle with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to bring out the detail, you can see it much better in real life! It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My you and me is from the stamp set in the Kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto more Classic Cherry. I cut them out and added them to card with more 3M Foam Tape. A few of the sequins from the Kit are added and the card is done! Nice and simple, a good way to spread a little love anytime of the year! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see more inspiration and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks for coming by and I wish you all a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Watercolor!

Ahh… Friday! I haven’t see you guys since Wednesday and it seems like forever!  My time at The Ink Pad was fun as always, I miss being at the store and if it wasn’t so expensive I would definitely go in more often! Wednesday night Jim came by for dinner and we watched the Mummy with Tom Cruise. I watched Daniel & Tristan yesterday, Tristan was a little bit of a beast but we all have our off days right?! Last night I assembled a power wheels motorcycle for a friend’s son’s birthday and finished off my evening by watching a few episodes of Altered Carbon. Not sure how I feel about it yet! This morning I have a bunch of flyers to do for Jim and some more odds and ends to get finished. 😀

It’s one of my favorite times of the month! Time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

I haven’t watercolored in ages! I decided to something simple and I forgot how much I like the results! Onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card I applied some clean water and then used the red from the Gansai Tambi Set. I need to remember to get a hard board to tape the watercolor card to, from what I have seen it really helps keep it nice and flat while you work on it! My impatience led me to use my Heat Tool to speed up the drying and then I ran the paper through my Big Shot to flatten it. It’s adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Tombo Extreme Adhesive. For the greeting I used the L O V E from the Concord & 9th Love You So Die Set and cut it out twice, once from Black 110lb and then from Tropical Sea. They are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium, I added the black and then offset the teal. The card needed a little sparkle so I pulled out my Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Mix Jewels and added a few randomly around the greeting! A very simple way to add watercolor to your card! I love the dark edges and variation in color!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Watercolor Challenge! My Teammates have made some great cards to inspire you so head on over the BLOG head over and check them out! You have all month to play along and we hope you will share your card with us in the gallery! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook!

Puffy Hearts – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello my peeps! I completely spaced on my Fab Friday card last week! That never happens! Like I have said my Mojo has been playing hide and seek with me lately. I have a lot going on and just can’t seem to focus! Trying to get back into the groove!! I promise! The weekend was fun none the less! On Saturday Jim and I took Daniel and his nephews Bobby and Jack to see the Monster Truck show. The kids had a great time and we also enjoyed it! After the show we all came back to my house and had pizza. Yesterday I did get a few cards made and then went over to Heather’s for the Super Bowl with Steph. I thought that the halftime show lacked some wow factor but wasn’t bad. My Mum is in a rehab facility for her recovery and isn’t happy about it at all. Hopefully she will be home soon. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan. Not a bad way to start off the week! 😀

It’s time for my February Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I played around with some love themed goodies for my card! One from the January release and one from the December release!

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Dotted 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the puffy hearts onto a piece of Gray 110lb Card Stock and adhered it to my card base. The strip going down the left side was created using the Heart Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with Ballet Slippers, Merman, Hippo and Doe Ink. I stamped the solid and love images from the Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ballet Slippers and Doe. The Coordinating Dies cut it out and some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres it to the card. Simple with some fun colors!

I hope that you like the card for my February Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on February 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 278

Happy mid-week peeps! Mum’s surgery went well. She is in a little bit of pain but that’s to be expected with a double knee replacement. She is not happy that she has to be there until Friday either! I think if they would have told her that she may not have agreed to the procedure! Taylor stopped by last night for a little visit. This morning I went out to breakfast with Heather and then took her to the airport. She is off to see our friend Patti in North Carolina for a few days. 😀

It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I started my card by stamping the brushstroke square from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set in Minty Fresh and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I used two more of the dies to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card and a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a strip of Black 110lb down the left side and stamped a greeting from the stamp set in Black Licorice in the lower right. My stamped panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added the flower and leaves with a Mini Glue Dot and then used another to add a pearl to the center of the flower. A nice simple card because… well just because! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you for visiting me today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 135 – All You Need is Love!

And I woke up to some snow this morning! What a wonderful way to start the day! NOT! I did have a fun weekend! Saturday I hung out with Heather for a while. We ran errands and had lunch. Sunday Jim came over and we continued the great purge of my apartment. He is definitely the king of getting rid of stuff! With his assistance I managed to donate six boxes to good will and threw out nine bags of trash! It’s always easier to clean and purge when you have help, wouldn’t you agree?! Yesterday I went over and watched Daniel and Tristan. I’ll be back over there on Thursday too! My Mum is having double knee replacement surgery today so her and my Dad won’t be able to watch the kids for a while. I’m happy to pitch in until Mum is able to watch them again. She is very nervous but I’m sure that everything will be fine. 😀

My first post for this week’s is for the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

Just in time for Valentine’s Day!! I kept things simple! Onto my card base of Grey 110lb Card Stock I stamped the heart from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hippo using my Mini MISTI just in case I had to stamp it again! I find myself using my MISTI a lot, it’s nice to have a little safety net so to speak! Next I used the Concord & 9th Hearts and Love Dies. The solid one with the outline is cut from Black 110lb and the thin one from Gold Mirror Card. I added Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to the back and added them to the card. I still love my sequins, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold ones did the trick for today! I do love that love die, so many different ways that you can use it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper All You Need is Love Theme! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards, including a risqué one from Amber! We hope that you will play along with us and share your card in the gallery! Thanks so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 134 – Colors!

TGIF peeps! I have had a busy week, sorry for being MIA again! Tuesday I had the kiddies, always a good time! Wednesday I went into Manhattan to see Anna, I’m going to be helping her out with some things for the store which will be fun! I miss my store and have always loved The Ink Pad. It will be good to get involved and crafty again! Jim came by in the evening and we watched some TV. Yesterday I was just busy with all sorts of things all day so last night I needed a little more down time and that resulted in a trip to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! Taylor came by too! This morning I’m off to get my haircut and then lots more stuff to get finished! Not quite sure what’s on for the weekend yet but hopefully it will be fun! 😀

I missed posting my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge. There are still a few days left to play and I would love to have you join us! Here is this week’s challenge badge…

While I was at The Ink Pad I picked up a die that I have wanted for a while and I had to use it on my card! The die is the Hero Arts A Bit of Handmade Kindness Fancy Die and I cut it out from some Gold Mirror Card. My roses and leaves are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Pink, Quartz and Raspberry Jam and the leaves in Moss and Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape. The die cut greeting is adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive in the upper right. It needed some more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins around the flowers cluster. A little bunch of roses along with that greeting is sure to brighten someones day don’t you think?! I hope that you like my very late Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Over on the BLOG you can check out the rest of the Team’s cards and see the fantastic ones that are already in the gallery! Thanks for coming by and I wish you all an incredible Friday! 🙂

Paper Player 377

That was a quick weekend but a really good one! Saturday I spent the day at Jim’s. We finished putting away the Christmas lights, organized the garage and cooked a ton of food for the week! Yesterday I went into Manhattan to spend the day with Kim. I got in around 10:00AM and got a parking space right away! We had brunch and then walked around for a bit. She ended up getting a new rug for the living room and we also managed to get her much more organized! I took her old 8×10 rug, you should have seen me trying to cram that thing in my car! LOL! We finished the evening off with some Thai food and I was home by 9:00! This morning I had a few things to take care of and I have laundry to do. I switched days with my parents so I’ll have Daniel and Tristan tomorrow! 😀

I saw this week’s challenge over on the Paper Players and had to make a card for it…

To start the card I used my Mini MISTI and the Concord & 9th Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the large LOVE image in Peachy Keen. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and set aside. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped some of the images from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal. I love the Coordinating Dies that go with the set so I used them to cut out some Pink Vellum. Onto the back of the LOVE I added Fun Foam, positioned the die cuts and then adhered the LOVE with E-Z Runner. A pretty simple card that with a slightly masculine twist! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you so much for starting your week off with a visit here! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Fab Friday 129

Ahh… Friday! I had quite the busy day yesterday and I did manage to get a lot accomplished! Got a few orders packed up and sent out, spoke to a few peeps, ran some errands. Jim came by after work and we had Zorn’s for dinner and then watched TV. This morning I have some crafty projects to work on and a few other things to take care of. I think that I’ll see if I can go into Manhattan on Sunday and see my friend Kim, I need a little city trip and it’s supposed to be nice! 😀

Every other week we have a new Fab Friday challenge and it’s one of those weeks! Our inspiration this time is a sketch…

I wanted to do a somewhat one layer card so I took out some Grey 110lb Card Stock and cut it so I could piece it back together by adhering it to a piece of Solar White 80lb. Onto that I stamped the outline rose and leaf images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Granite. In the bottom right corner I heat embossed a greeting from the set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and then adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The heart die cut is from the Hero Arts January My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to add it to the card. I do love the subtle roses in the background and the that delicate heart is so neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend! 🙂
