Paper Players 289

And we are coming into the home stretch of the week! It was chilly here again most of the day but started to warm up late in the evening. We are to have some rain today but it will be warmer! I’ll take it! Yesterday I tried to have a crafty day but other things kept getting in the way! I “lost” a stamp for a while and then Taylor and Kiera came over and Taylor found it for me within three minutes! She should have been here earlier! LOL! Last night they came back over and we watched a movie. A nice way to end the day! Today I have lots of stuff to get done, wish me luck!

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #289

It took me a while to come up with this one, I don’t have that much western stuff! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped a piece of Tip Top Taupe that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies with the Hardwood Background Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Khaki Ink. My greeting is a Unity Stamp called Whiskey than Tea that I have had for a while and it’s heat embossed in Cherry Cobbler. I wrapped some Papertrey Ink Natural Twine around the panel and secured a Regals Collection Designer Button to it. The panel is then adhered to the base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My stars are Cherry Cobbler and they are cut out with Momenta Starts Cut & Emboss Dies. The right and left ones are adhered with E-Z Runner and the middle one with some Foam Tape. I love the woodgrain background and the stars are pretty neat too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for visiting me today! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 189

Happy mid-week peeps! It’s still freezing cold here and I’m not enjoying it one bit! If you have any hot weather that you can spare please send it my way! Brian stopped by yesterday to visit for a bit in the morning and then I made my way over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee. We had a nice little chat and from there I came back home and spent some time with Daniel. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, it was Taylor’s Birthday yesterday, she is no longer a teenager! Boy do I feel old! LOL! Last night Danielle came back over and we finished getting all caught up. I miss her but the stories of work make me glad that I’m not there! Today I need to get crafty, lots of projects to get finished, but you know how I love my crafty time!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS189 DT Sketch 4-06-2016

I wanted something bright, bold and quirky! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. The flagged piece is some Canson 140lb Watercolor Card Stock that I covered in Wilted Violet Distress Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spritzed with water and then I dabbed it with a paper towel leaving that fun Distress Background. A piece of Vellum is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Die and adhered behind the flagged piece. I then adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Across the top is a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper and under that is some Purple Smooth Glitter Washi Tape. My feathers and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Dream Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card Stock. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the flagged piece with E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting in Onyx Black from the same set in the lower right corner of the base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Gold, Ocean Spray and Peacock Feather Sequins are adhered around the feathers for some more sparkle! I think that I got a bright, bold and quirky card, how about you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! SIP Challenge 42 – Colors!

Well, it was a good day to stay inside! It rained all day and last night it was freezing! Spring… right?! Not here! I stayed inside most of the day. I FaceTimed with Andrea and crafted a little in the morning. Taylor and Kiera stopped by with Chipotle and ate lunch here. Danielle stopped by after work for a little while so we could catch up a bit, she’ll be back today, there was way too much to talk about! Today I have a little more crafting to get done and later I’m going to take a ride over to Scrap-A-Latte and see Renee. Hope fully it will be a bit warmer here!

It’s Tuesday so that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP 42 Color Challenge 800

Some nice sooting colors! A lot of people had commented that the goldfish would look good in other colors so I gave it a try! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel is Solar White 80lb and all of my images and greeting are stamped onto it. The goldfish, stones and seaweed are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the goldfish in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy and then heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. The stones are stamped in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy repeatedly along the bottom. I stamped the seaweed in Soft Sky and because I clear embossed the fish it created an emboss resist so the seaweed looks like it’s behind them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy. I used the Mini MISTI for the fish and greeting, it makes lining them up a breeze! The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I really do love that goldfish set and I think they do look pretty neat in blues! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! To see more inspiration head on over to the BLOG and don’t forget to enter your take on the colors in the gallery! Thank you so very much for coming by to see me today! Mojo Monday 442

What a fun weekend I had! Yesterday it was incredibly windy in Manhattan! Kim and I walked to the Subway together in the morning and it’s good that we were together so that we could stop each other from blowing away! I had a lovely day at The Ink Pad with Jane. The heat was shut off in the building so it was a little chilly in the store. We set up some heaters and had to keep the door locked because it kept blowing open! When we were dome for the day I managed to make the 6:12 and was home by 7:10! Love when the commute from the city takes less than an hour! when I got home I had a little crafting to do and I ran over to my friend Christina’s house to help her with her iPhone. Today I have a few more projects to get through and some errands to run. Hopefully it will be a little bit warmer and a lot less windy!

What better way to start of the week than with a Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo442

I have a little bit of an aversion to busy backgrounds but I thought that I would give one a try today and see what you think! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Night of Navy. The background is a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Flea Market 6×6 Paper Pad. Next up is a piece of Rose Red that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Craft Dies. On top of that is a piece of Mint Macaroon and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The flagged strip is a piece of So Safron and I heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. I then cut out another piece of Night of Navy with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Craft Dies and adhered that to the card with E-Z Runner. My flower is a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Paper cut out with The Ton’s Petal Cut Peonies Stand Alone Dies. I used some of my Finetec Metallic Watercolors to paint it and then adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added to break up the Mint Macaroon and add a little more sparkle. I love that flower, especially all glitzed up with the Finetec Watercolors! I hope that you like my Design Team card of this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the team has to inspire you! Don’t forget to add your creation to the gallery! Thank you for beginning your week with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Hi there! I hope that you are having as good a weekend as I am! I was up bright and early again yesterday and at The Ink Pad by 7:15. We boarded the bus and got underway at 8:00am sharp. It was raining on the way down t0 Allentown but a little while after we arrived it had stopped and the sun even came out later in the day! We did raffles on the bus on the way down and I had Barbara and Jane laughing so much that their faces hurt by the time we got there! It was a fun day, I got to see some of my blog peeps which is always awesome and met a few new people too! We had lunch at the Amish Market. For dessert Barbara and I ate an entire half of a Shoo-Fly pie! It was good, not as good as my grandmother’s but pretty good! The bus ride back was more laughing and raffles. Anna was still at the store so we chatted with her for a bit. Barbara and I took a cab back uptown and stopped at D’Agostino’s before I headed back up to Kim’s. She had a party to go to so I watched a movie and then I was more than ready for bed! I did get some cool paper from The Paper Cut and a Mini MISTI! It will fit much better on my desk! I’ll be at The Ink Pad with Jane today so come on by and say hello!

I have a very quick and easy card to share with you today. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a new die to me from Gina Marie Designs called Wreath Die, it’s cut from Early Espresso and adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is a piece of Rose Red cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Small You Craft Die and the rest is stamped in Rose Red using the Simon Says Stamp You Photopolymer Stamp Set. My fun Flower Sequins are some that Michael sent to me from Brasil. I adhered then around the wreath using Multi-Matte Medium and the card is finished! See, I told you super simple! I do love that Wreath Die, so neat and the sequins are cute! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and that you all have a super Sunday! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Fab Friday 84

Happy Friday my peeps! I had a busy but great day yesterday! I spent most of the day with my friend Sue. We did some Etsy stuff and then went to Nathan’s for lunch! I haven’t had Nathan’s in FOREVER! The chili dog was pretty tasty and they still have great fries! After that we stopped at Michaels and spoke to Michael too! From Sue’s I stopped back home and had dinner with my parent’s, Daniel and Erika. I had to set up the HiPad for him to watch his PJ Masks on! It’s our favorite show! After dinner Heather stopped by and got me so that we could run to BJ’s to pick up a few things for Thirsty Thursday. I stopped at my house to get my car and then headed over to Heather’s. Thirsty Thursday is always a lot of fun and a lot of laughs! This morning I’m taking Heather to drop her car off to be fixed and then I’m going to head over to Scrap-A-Latte to chat with Renee for a bit. I’ll be going into Manhattan tonight to stay with Kim and then tomorrow morning I’ll be taking The Ink Pad Express to the Allentown Stamp Show! I hope that I will get to see some of you there!

Today is a Fab Friday so I’m over on the blog for our color challenge…

Fab Fri 84 4-02-2016

Sometimes I just need to stamp and that’s just what I did! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Pool Party to the front cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the smaller flowers from the Hero Arts Color Layering Hibiscus Photopolymer Stamp Set in So Saffron and Calypso Coral repeatedly and randomly across the whole panel and then adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Pool Party and it’s adhered directly to the background. A wooden butterfly is coated in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A few Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine and Lemon Drop Sequins complete the card. I love the color layering sets, you can stamp the same color ink over and over and still get great results! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and take a peek at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Paper Players 288

Sometimes the week just goes way too fast! I was up until around 2:30am last night which resulted in me getting up at 9:30, way too late! LOL! I have a little project that I’m researching and hopefully everything will go well and I’ll be able to share what I’m up to soon. I got to speak to Michael for a while today, always good to catch up! I did get to go over to my parent’s to see Daniel and Erika for a bit before I had to go and pick up Bill and take him back over to Deer Park to pick up Anthony’s van. They fixed it and all is working perfectly again. I went back over to my parent’s house for dinner, got to see my brother for a bit too. When I got back to my house I crafted for a little while and then binge watched Fixer Upper on HGTV, love what they do with houses! I’m off to spend the day with my friend Sue today, we’ll get some Etsy stuff done and hopefully craft a bit too!

The little card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #288

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took some paper from the Authentique Seaside 6×6 Collection and adhered it to a piece of Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I cut the top of a piece of Basic Gray with the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves Dies and then heat embossed my sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape and E-Z Runner. The anchor and sailboat are from the same set. The sailboat is stamped in Hero Arts Pool to Navy Ombre Ink and the Anchor in Soft Granite to Black Ombre Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and the are both adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I guess I’m dreaming of a little beach getaway! Love that Ombre Ink, especially the Pool to Navy! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge! Thank you so much for visiting today! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 188

And how is your week going? We are at the halfway point and mine is going well. Yesterday I had a pretty busy day, just the way that I like them! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then had a little lunch with my parents. Around 1:30 I stopped at A. C. Moore, I had a $10 rewards certificate that I just had to get rid of! I bought another bead storage container for sequins and other embellies, it’s the one with the bigger compartments this time. From there I stopped and got some gas and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to visit Renee for a little while. We had a nice chat and she shared some of her home-made peach strudel with me. After that I headed over to Deer Park to pick up Bill. He had to drop off Anthony’s van to be fixed, there is a problem with the wheelchair ramp. I drove Bill back to Anthony’s and visited with them for a bit before heading over to Heather’s. We went and had dinner at Applebee’s and then stopped at Lowes so I could get some hardware to hang her new chandelier. After that was finished we watched a little TV and had a laughing fit that lasted about 20 minutes! They are the best aren’t they?! I got home around 12:30 and that was my day!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS188 DT Sketch 3-30-3016

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of Copper Glitter Tape. The two panels are pieces of paper from the Heidi Swapp Dreamy 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut them out. A piece of Blushing Bride that is cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders Lawn Cuts is adhered to the left side of the smaller panel and they are both adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut from a piece of “Vintage” Summer Starfruit with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Balck 110lb. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The fun flower is a Wooden Embellishment from Recollections. I coated the front in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with more of the Copper Powder, it’s adhered with Multi-Matte Medium along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze and Onyx Sequins. I love the copper with fun muted brights on the paper and the sparkle of the glitter tape is a nice added touch! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG to see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 41 – Weddings!

And we successfully made it through another Monday! It was rainy here in the early part of the day but the sun did manage to come out for a little bit and then later on it got really windy! Such odd weather! I had another pretty low key day. I ran and picked up Brian in the morning from dropping off his car at Jeep, we went back to his house for a bagel and then I came home. Some crafty time with Andrea via FaceTime passed away a good part of the afternoon and Taylor came by to binge watch Netflix with her eyes closed for while! LOL! Brian called and asked if I would run him back over to get the truck so I did. Some dinner with parents and then a little TV to finish off the day. Oh, I did manage to get into a bit of a cleaning frenzy in the Stampin’ Galley! It looks a lot better! I always find “new” things too! Do you do that? LOL!

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog with the rest of the talented Team for this week’s challenge…

SIP Challenge 41 Weddings 800

Ahh, I don’t know why I like a wedding card as much as I do! Remember last year when I went through my wedding card marathon?! Today I stared my card with a base of Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I stamped in Versa-Mark with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background Stamp and heat embossed some Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flowers and leaves are from the Clearly Besotted Sketched Blooms and they are heat embossed with the same Silver Pearl on Vellum and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used a little Multi-Matte Medium strategically placed behind them to adhere them to the card. For the greeting I used the Simon Says Stamp On Edge Love You Die cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I resisted the temptation to add some sequins, it wasn’t easy! LOL! I do love that the card is basically white, I think that it has a nice simple elegant look to it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Get a head start on your wedding cards and share them with us in the gallery by stopping by the BLOG! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a tantalizing Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 441

I had a very low key relaxing Easter. My parent’s went to my Sister-In-Law’s parent’s house and I stayed home. I crafted, boy did I craft! I made four cards! I would have made more but I kept taking TV breaks! LOL! I also managed to get my laundry done! I was a pretty productive day despite the laid back feel! I hope that you all enjoyed your Easter and that you either had a nice quiet relaxing day like me or got to spend lots of time with family and friends!

It’s Monday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo441

Yup, I played with some new goodies! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Strip Background with some Simon Says Stamp Thistle Ink on a piece of Solar White 80lb for the left side of my background. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The main panel is another piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the flowers form the Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Thistle and Hot Mama and Hero Arts Grape Juice Ink. The leaves are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Lucky and Green Leaf. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb and then that is adhered to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts and the butterfly is from the Hero Arts Butterfly Pair Stamp and Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Mot Mama. The die is cool because it cuts out the wings but leaves the body attached. I fluffed up the wings and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the For You Flowers Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Black 110lb. I adhered it to the card with more E-Z Runner and Foam Tape tucking some of it under the butterfly wing. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst and Shamrock Sequins are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and complete the card! I absolutely love the flowers especially in the purples, I haven’t used purple in a long time! I hope that you enjoy my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has to inspire you! Don’t forget to enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting your week off here with me!
