Indigo Wreath Woven Hello

Hello there and happy Labor Day! I hope that you all are enjoying your three day weekend! I had my friend Kim come out on Saturday. I went into Manhattan in the afternoon and met her for lunch and then we drove back out to my house. Sunday morning we went over to Long Beach and met Jim for a nice walk along the boardwalk which we finished just before it started to drizzle. She took the train home yesterday afternoon and I spent the rest of the day relaxing. I’m hoping to get into the Craft Closet today and play with some new goodies that I recently acquired!

The other day I was digging through my stash and came across one of favorite products from back when I had the store! I decided that it would make a fun background for some new goodies. To start my card I used the Pinkfresh Indigo Vines Washi Tape and added it to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Indigo Vines Die to cut it out. My card base is also Neenah Solar White 110lb. The background is a piece of Grey 110lb that I embossed using the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Woven 3D Embossing Folder. It’s added to the card base with Bearly Arts Glue. I used 3M Foam Tape to add the wreath. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate. I used Crafter’s Companion Aurora Hot Foil on a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb and cut it out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Die. More foam tape is used to add the greeting to the card and for a little sparkle I added Pinkfresh Stargazer Jewels and some sequins from Little Things by Lucy. A quick simple card thanks to the Washi Tape and sentiments!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! I want to thank you for sharing a little bit of your time with me! Enjoy the rest of your Labor Day!

Fab Friday 139 – Sketch!

Happy Friday! I had a fun week. I went into Manhattan on Monday and stopped by The Ink Pad to see Anna and then headed uptown to se my friend Jim. I has been back to cooler weather here, I guess the Summer will show up eventually! This weekend I’m taking a ride up to PA with Kim to do a few errands for Jim. Should be a fun day! 😀

It’s time once again for a new Fab Friday challenge…

A nice simple sketch! I started my card by heat embossing the heart from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Glitter Embossing Powder onto a piece of Iridescent 53lb Vellum. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also heat embossed the greeting in same powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. For my card front I used the We R Memory Keepers Gemstone Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some foam tape to the back of the greeting and hid some behind the heart to attach it to my card base. I love that Gemstone Embossing Folder and thought that it looked pretty cool with the Geode Heart! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for spending some of your Friday with me! 🙂

Puffy Hearts – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello my peeps! I completely spaced on my Fab Friday card last week! That never happens! Like I have said my Mojo has been playing hide and seek with me lately. I have a lot going on and just can’t seem to focus! Trying to get back into the groove!! I promise! The weekend was fun none the less! On Saturday Jim and I took Daniel and his nephews Bobby and Jack to see the Monster Truck show. The kids had a great time and we also enjoyed it! After the show we all came back to my house and had pizza. Yesterday I did get a few cards made and then went over to Heather’s for the Super Bowl with Steph. I thought that the halftime show lacked some wow factor but wasn’t bad. My Mum is in a rehab facility for her recovery and isn’t happy about it at all. Hopefully she will be home soon. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan. Not a bad way to start off the week! 😀

It’s time for my February Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I played around with some love themed goodies for my card! One from the January release and one from the December release!

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Dotted 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the puffy hearts onto a piece of Gray 110lb Card Stock and adhered it to my card base. The strip going down the left side was created using the Heart Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with Ballet Slippers, Merman, Hippo and Doe Ink. I stamped the solid and love images from the Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ballet Slippers and Doe. The Coordinating Dies cut it out and some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres it to the card. Simple with some fun colors!

I hope that you like the card for my February Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on February 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 131 – Emboss It!

Hey there, remember me?! I have been MIA for a little bit over the Holidays. I just lost my Mojo and didn’t make a card for about two weeks!! That’s the longest I think I have ever gone. Plus I think that I just needed a break after five years of almost daily posts. Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things! Oh, Happy New Year!! Can’t believe that 2017 is done! I did have a good year and a wonderful time over the Holidays! I hope that all of you are doing great and that your year is off to a great start! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for the first Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge of 2018…

I used a new to me stamp set that I have wanted for a while, it was a little prezzie from Jim! To start I heat embossed that gorgeous leaf from the Neat & Tangled Oak Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I colored it in using a Light Green Zig Clean Color Brush Pen and a Waterbrush. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. I added the leaf and greeting with 3M Foam Tape and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card. I do love that leaf especially watercolored! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming back after my little hiatus! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 317

Well, I woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning! No thanks! LOL! It was so windy and cold here yesterday too! Is it too early to start complaining that I can’t wait for Spring?! Despite the frigid day I still got a lot done. Last night we had an early Thirsty Thursday at my house, Heather was a little tipsy so I drove her home and then took her car over to her this morning. I’ll be running more errands and checking more things off my to-do list today! 😀

I managed to get a card made this morning for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

I wanted to use the December My Monthly Hero Kit again. First I used the Hero Arts City Skyline Fancy Die, an add-on, to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb that I rounded the corners on with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. The moon and the starts are from the Stamp Set included and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of the Gold Glitter Card and then adhered my panel with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My greeting is also from the Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Blue Jay. A few Black 3D Foam Squares hold it in place. The bottom looked a little plain so I added a few Nautical Sparkle and Brushed Gold Sequins along with some dots with my Gold Signo Gel Pen. Love that fun City Scape Die and the unusual greeting! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for your visit and I wish you all a super Thursday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 315

A good morning to you all! I managed to get a lot of the things on my list done yesterday, always a good feeling. Cali has been adjusting really well and has been good. I took her over to Heather’s last night and she played with Boris chasing him around the house. I pretty sure that Boris thinks he’s a dog and it was even funnier because he’s bigger than Cali! Here is what most of Cali’s day looks like, she likes to mess up the couch and then take long naps!

Today I’m starting the big card organization project, that is going to take a looooong time! LOL! But will be worth it to have everything in places that make it easier for me to find! 😀

I managed to squeeze in a card yesterday and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

What a nice simple sketch! To start my card I used a new tool that I recently acquired, the We R Memory Keepers Fram Punch Board. I created my frame out of a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. All of the images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb to fit behind the frame and stamped the branch in Doe and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass and Jalapeño. The greeting is stamped in Black Licorice. I added the frame to a piece of Acetate and then put 3M Foam Tape to create my well for the Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. The stamped piece is adhered to the framed piece to create my shaker. Next I positioned the shaker on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped a few more leaves. The shaker is then adhered to the card. I really do love that Beautiful Branches Set, it’s definitely becoming a favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

Paper Players 370

Hello friends. I missed my post on Friday because I woke up and found my little friend Winston had passed away in the night. I miss him so much. I can’t remember a time that he hasn’t been around. I was lucky enough to have spent 16 years with my best friend. It really is true, your furry friends become a part of the family and the loss leaves a big empty space. Heather came over on Friday and spent the day with me working from my house. I managed to keep myself busy over the weekend. I spent the morning at Jim’s on Saturday and then we went to dinner and watched a few episodes of The Fall. Yesterday I was at the Glam Slam Fundraiser and that was a lot of fun! I ran into someone that I used to work with at Pergament back when I was 18!! Such a small world. 😀

To start off the week I have my card for the Paper Players challenge…

One of my favorite challenges! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. My tree is cut from another piece of Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Die. I used the lights from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set and WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder on my die cut tree and then adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die with more Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. Some more 3M Foam Tape adheres that to the tree and the card is done. I do love a white on white card, you can do so much with a little dimension! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for coming by to see me on a Monday! Have a great day! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 311

Happy Friday! What a nice day it was yesterday! Sunny and warm! Manhattan was great, I had a nice visit with Diane and then went up to the Isabel O’Neil Studio to help out Beth with a few things. Kim and I went to Schnipper’s for lunch and had some pretty good burgers. I also walked everywhere about 65 blocks! Last night we had another meeting for the fundraiser next week and then Jim and I grabbed a quick dinner and I came home. I got a haircut this morning and now I going to call my friend Greg. Shaping up to be a pretty good Friday! 😀

I did manage to squeeze in a card this morning and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I grabbed my Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and my MISTI to stamp a panel with Black Licorice. Another piece of Black 110lb is embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave Next Level Embossing Folder and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is stamped in Black Licorice onto a piece of Solar White 110lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die. That is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! Simple black and white makes for an elegant Christmas card, don’t you agree?! Pearlescent Pineapple – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again! I’m back with post number two for today! It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. Be sure and stop by there too!

The card that I created uses the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. To color in the image I used my FineTec Pearl Watercolors and an Aquawash Brush. After it dried I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out along with the greeting that is heat embossed onto a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The pineapple and greeting are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with another piece of White Gold Metallic that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers 3D Woven Embossing Folder. I do love the Pearl Watercolors, so nice and subtle. The pictures doesn’t do them justice, they look so much better in real life!

SIP Challenge 61 – Tic-Tac-Toe from Lisa!

The weather was a little cooler here yesterday, it was in the 80’s and while the AC is thankfully still working in the car it was definitely a top down day! I had a nice day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got lots of administrative things done in the morning. My friend Robyn stopped in to get some goodies and we had a nice long chat. She has lots of good recommendations for off beat things! I chatted with Sue and Skyped with Andrea and Dena! My ride home was lovely and quick! After dinner my friend Louis called and asked me to meet him at Century21 to help him pick out a suit, his grandmother passed away. Another excuse for a drive in the car! We got two suits for him and then stopped at Carvel and had a little ice cream. Today I have a lot to get done at the store and then tomorrow I have to start getting ready for Card Class on Thursday and Friday!

Since today is Tuesday that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

SIP Challenge 61 - Tic-Tac-Toe

I used some Altenew again, I absolutely love their flowers and greetings! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I embossed a piece of Sno-Cone with the We R Memory Keepers Waves 3D Next Level Embossing Folder and adhered it directly to the card with E-Z Runner. My flowers are from the Altenew Lotus Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed just the outlines in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto Arches 140lb Watercolor Paper and used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors to color them in. The greeting is from the Altenew Beautiful Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more Copper onto a piece of 46lb Vellum. I picked up the bottom edges of the background and folded over the side of the Vellum and tucked them in to adhere it to the card (because I forgot to do it before I adhered the background! :-P). My flowers are all adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and the stems with Dot Runner Adhesive. I love the Copper Embossing Powder but I think it looks especially cool with the blue watercolor and the sentiment is just awesome! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the talented Team has made to inspire you and enter your creation into the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting me today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂
