Happy Birthday Heather!

Good morning all, it’s FRIDAY! Here comes the weekend and I can’t wait! Yesterday was my friend Heather’s birthday. She is a sweet and wonderful person and real girlie girl so I figured that it was the perfect opportunity to use my new Petite Purse Bigz Die. I used a piece of Perfect Plum Card Stock for the purse. I added the holes for the handle and the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper to the flap before I used Sticky Strip to put the purse together. I used a piece of Whisper White 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired List) over the handle and attached it with two Silver Mini Brads. Around the bottom I used Sticky Strip to adhere some Blushing Bride Ruffled Ribbon (Occasions Mini-Retired). The greeting on the purse is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Wood Mount Stamp Set and is stamped in Perfect Plum and punched and re-punched with the Word Window Punch. For the card I cut a piece of Perfect Plum to 3″ x 6″, scored it at 3″ and folded it in half. I placed a piece of matching Twitterpated DSP on the front. The greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and again is stamped in Perfect Plum, mounted on Perfect Plum and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched out some flowers with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and adhered them with some Mini Glue Dots. A Basic Jewels Rhinestones on each flower complete the card. I stamped some flowers from the Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set on the front of the envelope in Perfect Plum and Blushing Bride (Retired). Pacific Suede Monkey Birthday

Hello everyone! How is your week so far? Mine has been good. I have a Downline Meeting tonight out East. It should be a lot of fun. 🙂 Today’s card would be perfect for a little boy’s birthday. The two stamp sets that I used are on the Retired List so if you want them you have until the end of May to purchase them. The base of the card is Pacific Point and the background is a piece of the Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper in Soft Suede. The little monkey images are from the Fox & Friends Stamp Set and are stamped in Soft Suede Ink. I used the 1 3/8″ Square Punch to punch them out and cut the Pacific Point squares behind them 1/4″ larger. The greeting is from the Happiest Birthday Wishes Stamp Set and is markered with Pacific Point and Soft Suede Markers. The two circles to the right are punched out with the 3/4″ Circle and 1/2″ Circle Punches. This is a nice simple card and with a color change could work for a girl too. Thanks for checking in today! Riding Hood Grey Corner Catcher

Good morning everyone! I hope that you all had a nice Saturday. I had a great day yesterday. I saw some dear friends that I haven’t seen in a while and went down to China Town with my friend Kim. It was beautiful in Manhattan yesterday and we also got to walk through Central Park. I’m so glad that the warmer weather is on it’s way, hopefully for good this time! Now on today’s card, but before I get to that one small piece of business to take care of. Stampin’ Up! released their Retired Stamp Sets List today. It’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be! Some of my favorites are staying like French Foliage and Creative Elements. I will be sad to see Fox & Friends and Young Vermillion go but they make way for a bounty of new sets to let us unleash a new chapter of our creativity! Now on to today’s card. The Corner Catcher was featured in last month’s Stampin’ Success Magazine and I love them. Mary Fish had a great idea to make a card with one on the corner and here is one of my takes on her idea. I started with a base of Real Red and added a background stamped in Real Red on Crumb Cake Card Stock with the Creative Elements Stamp Set. Using some Basic Grey I Punched out some flowers with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and used some Mini Glue Dots to adhere them to the background. The Corner Catcher is made with the new Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. To make it you start with a piece of card stock that is 4″ x 4″ and you score it diagonally at 2″ on one side in opposite directions and fold. I cut out a triangle to go on the back side to hide the seam. All you have to do after that is embellish it. I used First Edition Designer Series Paper and stamped another image from Creative Elements in Riding Hood Red. Using a piece of Very Vanilla I stamped the same background that I used on the card and then stamped a letter from the Broadsheet Alphabet Stamp Set in Basic Grey and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. That is mounted to a piece of Crumb Cake that is punched out with the 1 3/4″ Scallop circle and then adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched the edge with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and used a piece of Riding Hood Red Ribbon from the Clearance Rack to finish it off. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is also stamped in Riding Hood Red and mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Happy Birthday Uncle Bruce

Hello and welcome to the weekend! Happy Saturday everyone! I’m off to Manhattan today to see some friends and it’s supposed to be a nice day for the most part so it will be a good time! For today’s card I’m posting my Uncle Bruce’s birthday card. He lives in London, England and he is by far one of the funniest people I know. Masculine cards can be a challenge so I have some go to sets, one of my favorites is The Open Sea Stamp Set. It has been a write in item since it made it’s debut in the Summer Mini Catalog last year. The base of the card is Not Quite Navy. A piece of paper from the Well Worn Designer Series Paper pack creates the background for the card. The images and greeting are stamped in Not Quite Navy, except for the ship which is stamped in Early Espresso. The greeting is from two sets, Family Reunion and Occasions Alphabet. They are all stamped on Very Vanilla and mounted on Cajun Craze. I had to keep the embellishments to a minimum seeing as it was being sent overseas. Up, Up Blue Birthday

Good morning people! We are more than halfway through the week! I was inspired by flight yesterday when I went to retrieve my parents from the airport. Today’s card uses the Up, Up & Away Stamp Set. The base of the card is Soft Suede. I used some Bashful Blue Card Stock for the sky. The large cloud at the bottom was cut out with my Paper Snips and some Whisper White Card Stock. The ballon images are stamped in Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo and the baskets underneath and the birds are stamped in Soft Suede all on Whisper White Card Stock. I made the clouds using the Cupcake Builder Punch, it’s the frosting! The greeting is stamped in Island Indigo and punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and backed with a piece of Lucky Limeade punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. The balloons, clouds and greeting are all adhered to the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. It’s a quick card and I am loving the color combination. Thank for stopping in and have a great day!

Tempting Tango Birthday

Hello everyone and happy Easter Sunday! I hope that you are having a nice time with your family and friends today. I will see my daughter, brother and his fiancé later on. Today’s card is a simple Saturday card. It’s easy to make and not cluttered at all. I have been meaning to use the Pennants Builder Punch and the Pennant Parade Stamp set for a while. The base of the card is Tempting Turquoise. I used the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock for the background. I stamped some Tempting Turquoise with the same color ink and some Tangerine Tango, also with the same color ink, from the Pennant Parade Stamp Set and punched them out with the Pennants Builder Punch. I stamped wish big in the same two colors and punched them out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch and used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount them on the pennants. I “hung” a pice of White Bakers Twine across the card and adhered the pennants with more Stampin’ Dimensionals along it. The greeting is from the Party This Way Stamp Set and is stamped in Tempting Turquoise, it’s mounted on a piece of Tangerine Tango and punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch. It’s a nice colorful easy birthday card and would make a great workshop card. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day! 🙂

Happy Birthday Taylor

Hello all of you people out there! It’s Friday and Easter Weekend! I hope that you all have some plans to spend time with family this weekend. As I promised yesterday here is my daughter Taylor’s birthday card. She really likes anchors and ships and more blues and grays so there are no frills or flowers on this card. I started with a base of Not Quite Navy and I took a piece of Baja Breeze and ran it through my Big Shot using the Perfect Details Texturz Plates. The nautical images are from The Open Sea Stamp Set and are stamped in Not Quite Navy and Basic Grey. The whale is from the Fox & Friends Stamp Set and is also stamped in Basic Grey, I think it adds a little whimsy to the card. The whale and anchor are backed by Not Quite Navy and the ship is backed with Basic Grey and has three Neutrals Collection 3/16″ Brads in the upper right corner. The greeting is from the Party This Way Stamp Set and is stamped in Not Quite Navy and is punched out with the Word Window Punch. I used the daughter stamp from the Family Reunion Stamp Set and placed some more Basic Grey behind it and a piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper on top of some Not Quite Navy. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to help prop up the easel part of the card. Taylor loved her card and I hope that you like it too! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Vintage Vogue Concord Bride

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is just a few hours away! My good friend Angie from Blue Springs Missouri had her fist Workshop tonight and I attended it via FaceTime! You gotta love Apple and modern technology! 🙂 For today’s card I wanted to make a very feminine pretty birthday card. I used some Concord Crush for the base of the card. I took a piece of Very Vanilla and used the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set to make a background randomly stamped in Blushing Bride. I stamped some more images from the set in Concord Crush and cut out the flower image with my Paper Snips and used the Ticket Corner Punch on the F image. I stamped the Happiest Birthday from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) in Concord Crush and used the Ticket Corner Punch on that too. They are both mounted on Concord Crush Card Stock and all of the elements are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I used a Twitterpated Designer Button in Blushing Bride on the cut out flower image. A-maze-ing Baja Birthday

Happy Wednesday morning to all of you! Its mid-week which means we are halfway there! For today’s card I finally used some items that I purchased from the Occasions Mini Catalog a while ago. The base of the card is Chocolate Chip. I took a piece of Baja Breeze Card Stock and stamped it with the Woodgrain Background Wood Mount Stamp in Chocolate Chip. The cool little Maze Game is backed with a stamp from the Totally Amazing Stamp Set also stamped in Chocolate Chip and is punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. For a little more detail there is a piece of cheese in the middle that was stamped in More Mustard. I used some Glue Dots and Tombo to adhere it to the card. I stamped the mouse image in Chocolate Chip and punched it out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch and backed it with a piece of Chocolate Chip punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. The top greeting is from Happiest Birthday Wishes (Host(ess)) and the lower greeting is also from the Totally Amazing Stamp Set. I think the idea of a maze game on the front of a card is fun. Creative Mixed Parlor

Happy FRIDAY everyone! We are almost to the weekend! My friend Kim and I are taking my daughter to see Rent this Sunday. It’s my daughter’s favorite movie and I have never seen the play so it should be a good time! For today’s card I used my Parlor Prints Background Stamp again. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I stamped a piece of Pool Party with Soft Suede Ink for my own Designer Series Paper. For the greeting I stamped an image from the Creative Elements Stamp Set in Soft Suede and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I punched a piece of Peach Parfait with the 1 3/4″ Scalloped Circle Punch. I then stamped a piece of Very Vanilla with another image from Creative Elements in Peach Parfait and then stamped the greeting in Soft Suede from the Elementary Elegance (Sale-A-Bration) Stamp Set and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. The flower is from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and is Soft Suede stamped on Peach Parfait then punched out with the Blossom Punch. I punched out some Very Vanilla with the 2 3/8″ Scalloped Circle Punch to put behind it and attached them together with a brad form the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration). The greeting and the Flower are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the vintage feel but slightly modern edge to the card. Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a great FRIDAY!
