CAS Birthday Pocket

Another lovely day at the lake! The weather has been really nice and sunny, it has been the perfect weekend to be up here! Yesterday we hung around the house for a while and then sat down by the lake for a long time. Jim made dinner and a bunch of people came by. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and we will be leaving to go back home later on today. All in all it has been a wonderful weekend! 😀

While I was sitting thinking of what card I wanted to make the other day and what stamp set to use I remembered this oldie but goodie that I have! I stamped the images and greeting from the W Plus 9 A Pocketful Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice onto Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The images have solid dies so I did my die cutting first. The pocket is adhered to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with 3M Foam Tape and the Birthday is stamped next to it. I slid a gift card into the pocket and done! I kept the card really white so that whatever you put in the pocket would pop! I hope that you like today’s Simple Sunday card! Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day! 🙂

Paper Players 349

Another quick weekend done! I hope that you all enjoyed your Father’s Day! I had a nice quiet day, did some laundry in the morning and spent some time with Dad. Taylor came by in the afternoon and we had dinner and watched a little TV. I think it’s supposed to rain again today, guess I will try and get some card making in! 😀

Let’s start the week off with my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I really have been enjoying making clean and simple cards lately! Today is another simple one layer one! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped some images and a greeting from the Concord & 9th Birdie Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice and Moonstone Ink. I added some Black Gel pen to the eyes and some gold to their beaks. The background needed a little something so I took my Uni-ball Gold Gel Pen and added some dots. That’s it! A super simple card using minimal supplies! It would be a great one to make into a set to give to someone too! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for starting another week off her with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of June! This time we ask you to create a a card with some layers!

I started my card by stamping the flower from the Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lobster Ink. I then placed a piece of 29lb Vellum over the top and stamped the second layer of the flower in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Pearl. The Coordinating Dies cut out both layers, including a little Black 110lb for the flower center, and I adhered them to each other with E-Z Runner, hiding it behind the embossing. To make the background I cut a piece of Black 110lb with the Select-A-Size Edge Dies and adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice right onto the card base. All that was left to do was to adhere the flower to the card with 3M Foam Tape! I love how the vellum softens the bold red of the flower and the funky edge offset is pretty neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Layers Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your card with us in the gallery. Be sure to stop by the BLOG for some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for coming by again! Enjoy the rest of your Friday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 102 – Masculine!

It was a pretty gloomy day here, rained a lot and was overcast for the rest of the day. I stayed inside and crafted and watched TV. Not the most exciting day ever but a productive one none the less. Today I think more rain is on the way but I will need to get out and do something other than be in the house! We’ll see what I can come up with! 😀

It is time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Just because it’s a masculine card doesn’t mean that it can’t have a little color on it! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Pacific Point to cover the front. My background is created with the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp, my MISTI and some Black Licorice and Hippo Ink. It’s stamped only twice, and I skipped a turn with I did the stamping. I trimmed it to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added it to the card. On the strip across the middle I stamped the world map and greeting from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño and Fish Tank Ink and that’s it! I love that Map Love Set, it’s no longer available but maybe if enough of you like it they will bring it back! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Masculine Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out what the rest of the Designers have done and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Bright Happy Day – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Surprise! I’m back with post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on June 9th! Today I’m sharing a single layer floral card!

I started by putting my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock into my Mini MISTI and stamping the greeting from the Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set in Peacock. I left the card in the MISTI and stamped the flowers and leaves from the set in Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Grape Soda, Juice Box, Jalapeño and Noble Fir. It needed some sparkle so I added a few Shimmering Pool Jewels and Lagoon Sequins Mix from Little Things by Lucy! A nice quick simple card that you could easily make multiples of and give as a gift!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on June 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!

Simple Butterfly Beauty

What a fun and busy day I had yesterday! It was a little overcast in the morning but by the time I got out to Wading River for the Wedding the sun came out. The couple that I married, Nacole and Cal, we very nice! It was a small ceremony and went really well. From there I stopped home, ran over to see Heather and we went to Old Navy to return some things. A quick stop back home to pick up some stuff and off to Jim’s house. I helped him with some projects, we had lunch and then got ready to go to the Relay for Life. There were a lot of people there and I got to meet a bunch of Jim’s friends. This morning I’m headed back over to finish up a few more projects! 😀

I have another Simple Sunday card for you today! This one is a one layer with some masking. I stamped the butterfly from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and also onto a Post-it Note. A little fussy cutting and I placed the Post-it over the stamped butterfly and used my Stencil Brush to apply some Ballet Slippers to highlight the butterfly. To give it a little more color I stamped the fill-in image in Minty Fresh and then added the greeting, stamped in more Black Licorice. It doesn’t get more simple that that! I do love the way the pink gives the card a little bit of dimension! I hope that you enjoyed today’s Simple Sunday card! Thank you for spending a little of your day with me! Have a wonderful day! 🙂

Mojo Monday 499

It was partly sunny here for most of the day yesterday which was nice! I went over to Neal and Stephanie’s for a BBQ with Kim, Brian, Heather and the kids. We had a really fun day, it was just like old times! After Heather came over by me for a bit and we watched some TV and discussed our little issues! Feels good to tell someone else about them! LOL! Today I’m going to see if I can get some crafting done, it’s to be rainy here… again! 😀

It is the start of a new week and time for a new Mojo Monday Sketch

My card today starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Oh, Hello Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISIT and some Lawn Fawn Fish Tank, Merman, Peacock and Storm Cloud Ink to make my background. I trimmed it to 4 x 4 and adhered it to my card base. Across the middle is a piece of 27lb Capri Blue Vellum with the ends flagged. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Peacock, that is adhered to a piece of 48lb Vellum and that is then adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I stamped one of the single greetings from the Stamp Set in Peacock, cut it out with my Scissors and adhered that to the card with more 3M Foam Tape. I’m still smitten with that awesome Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp, it’s just so cool! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! Dotty Thank You Two Ways – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Hello again! I’m back with my Guest Designer post for Concord & 9th with more inspiration for the May release! This week we are showcasing the Dotty Turnabout Stamp and the All About You Dies! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! 😀

I love when I can make a card and then use the “leftover” pieces to make a second one don’t you?! To start my cards I used my MISTI and the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with some Minty Fresh, Storm Cloud and Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. For the first card I cut a piece of the stamped paper to 4 x 5 1/4 and used the All About You Dies to cut out the negative you from the paper. I also cut the you out from a piece of Black 110lb along with the the thank. To create the card I adhered a piece of Black 110lb to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is adhered to the card and the you and black outline are adhered back into the negative cut out. All that was left to do was to adhered the thank to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive! Love the bold background and the way the block outline on the you separates it just enough to make it pop!

Since I had the opposite pieces left over from the first card I decided that I would make a second! I adhered the you and the outline to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive along with the thank. Next I used the additional stamps in the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamps to stamp the lined circles in Minty Fresh and Storm Cloud randomly around the greetings. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Pewter Sequins Finish the card! Waste not want not and I think I actually like this card even more than the first one!

I LOVE that Dotty Turnabout Stamp and the All About You Dies! So much fun to use! Again, how cool is it that you can make your own background paper in any color that you want?! I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer projects for the Concord & 9th Blog! Click here to go to the Concord & 9th post and see what the other Guest Designers have done! Welcome to the World Baby – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

We had another fabulous day! Definitely a taste of Summer with temps in the 90’s! I will admit I was no where near as productive as I should have been, I spent a lot of time outside! It was too nice to be indoors! It’s going to be nice again today, but only in the 80’s. Not complaining! LOL! I also enjoyed my evening, Jim came by and we got Pizza Hut for dinner and then watched Blindspot. It was the season finale, now we have to wait the whole Summer before it starts up again! This morning I’m going to take Heather to drop her car off so it can be detailed and maybe get a little breakfast! 🙂

It’s time for my second Concord & 9th Guest Designer Post! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! This week we are showing you the new Globe Greetings Stamps and Dies!

I thought it would be fun to make a different kind of baby card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the solid banner stamp from the Best Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers repeatedly onto the card base using my MISTI. Next I stamped the holder for the globe from the Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set In Hippo. A piece of Sugarplum Card stock is cut out with the Best Banners Dies, I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it over one of the stamped banners. My globe is stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb in Fresh Lavender and I cut it out with the Globe Greetings Dies. The greeting is stamped in Sugarplum and the globe is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I added a few Little Things by Lucy Lucky Dip VI and Purple Velvet Sequins for a bit of sparkle! I think the card makes a fun different welcome baby card, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer card for this Concord & 9th Blog! Be sure and read their post and see what the other Guests have done to inspire you! Thank you so much for visiting with me! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 99 – Packaging!

As far as Monday’s go that wasn’t a bad one! The weather was pleasant, sunny but cool. I got a bunch of things done in the morning. Jim stopped by for a quick visit after work and I got to see Taylor for a bit too! I’m going through the craft closet trying to get things together that I don’t use anymore. It’s amazing how much stuff I have accumulated over the past five years! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The term packaging covers a broad range of crafty projects! Boxes, gift card holders, wine tags and the list goes on! I love to use stamps to make my own wrapping paper so that’s what I did for today’s challenge and it’s super simple! I have a roll of Kraft Paper so I cut some off and used the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp, randomly, the world on it in Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Ink. When I make the wrapping paper I also usually make a tag. I stamped the world onto a piece of Kraft card stock and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. On the back I stamped the greeting World’s Best Friend in Fish Tank, punched a hole in top and threaded some Natural Twine through it. Simple and you can also then match your card, tag and wrapping paper together! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team project for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Packaging Challenge! We hope to see what you create in the gallery and if you need a little more inspiration head on over to the BLOG! Thank you for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
