Pretty Petals Card Set

Another fun day at the Store, it’s always a good time with a crop! Suzanne made the wedding card from last week’s class and loved it! After work I came home and stopped by my Parents. My Brother also stopped by, he had a wake to go to for a friend of his that was only in his 40’s, so young. Jim came by around 7:45 and we went to dinner at the Oak Chalet where they have some pretty German food. We watched a movie when we got back to my house and chatted for a bit before calling it a night. Today I’m off to Manhattan to help my friend Tia set up her new MacBook. It’s supposed to be a nice day too, let’s hope that the weathermen are right! 😀

I have really been into the one layer cards lately. It’s nice to be able to make a card with just some stamps and ink! I made a set of four cards today that will make a fun and useful gift for someone! The card bases are all Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the flowers from the Concord & 9th Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Fresh Lavender, Sugarplum, Minty Fresh, Merman, Sunflower, Carrot and Black Licorice Ink using my MISTI just in case I had to stamp them more than once. The Happy Birthday greetings are from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Black Licorice and the thanks is from the Concord & 9th Give Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set, also stamped in Black Licorice. Super simple cards but that nice big flower gives a fun look to them! I hope that you enjoyed my little card set for today! Thank you for taking the time to come by and see me! Have a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 282

Ahh… Thursday is always a good day for me. I had my class at the Store and that was fun! Renee left a little early, she wasn’t feeling well. I got some of my projects finished in between peeps coming in. After work I came home and had some Mac & Cheese that Jim had given me and then he came over around 7:00 and we headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. Taylor came by and so did Stephanie, George came home too! We had a birthday cake for Taylor, Carvel, yum! Today it’s finally Friday! Lots of things to do at the Store always, but always fun! 😀

In England your 21st Birthday is a big deal so I made a card for that birthday for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black Licorice. I used the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp on a piece of Merman inked with Peacock for my background. The numbers are cut from a piece of Merman that I stamped with the Concord & 9th Background Blocks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Peacock and a piece of Chili Pepper to outline them. I adhered them to piece of Peacock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive backed with some more Black Licorice. The 2 and st are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and the 1 with 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to stamp the happy birthday from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice and the card is done! A nice different take on a birthday card thanks to the fun sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thanks so much for visiting! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 93 – Coming Up Flowers!

Another really nice day yesterday! Sunny and warm with just a little breeze! Today we are to have a very rainy morning and then spots of rain for the rest of the day, but still not cold! YAY! I stopped by the bank on the way to the Store in the morning and they were not helpful at all. I’m over it so I’ll be switching to a new bank as soon as this is cleared up. I had a pretty productive day when I got to the Store. Renee had her Christmas Card Club and my friend Sue stopped by, always nice to see her! I had a quick dinner with my Parents when I got home and then went over to get Heather so we could go and see Brian and Kim! It’s been ages since we have all hung out but it was like no time passed at all. Good friends! Lots of projects are on tap for today and Jim will be by later to work on the crafty project! Should be a great day! 😀

What makes it even better is it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

That’s right! Just add some flowers to your project! I though that it might get Spring here a bit faster if we all do it together! LOL! I played with some of the new line of products from the latest Concord & 9th release. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. That pretty background is created using the Concord & 9th Floral Fill-In Patterned Paper and the Floral Fill-In Stencils. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Ballerina Pink for the first layer of the stencil and Bubblegum for the second layer and adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The flower in the upper right is from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in the same two colors. I cut it out with my Scissors and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My big hello is cut out from a piece of Pink Vellum for the outline a piece of Black for the inside. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the black to the outline and then teeny dots of Multi-Matte Medium to adhered it to the card. The friend is from the Concord & 9th Say Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice under the hello and the card is done! I love those Floral Fill-In Paper and Stencils, you can make your flowers any color that you want, such a cool idea! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Mojo Monday 491

Another weekend gone too soon! I had a very busy and really fun one so no complaints. Yesterday I had a quick trip into Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary. I left them around 12:20 and ran down to The Ink Pad to drop off some things for Anna and then headed back to Penn to get the train home. I was home by 2:10 and then ran over to Heather’s to see the new paint in the living room, very nice. We did a few errands and then hung out at my house for a bit. Daniel was at my Parent’s so we played with him for a while. I took Heather home and then Taylor came by for a visit. The evening needed with a little TV. Today it’s back to the Store and some crafty fun! 😀

We are starting the week off as we always do with a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used a piece of Merman. The two panels are Lawn Fawn Blue Raspberry Perfectly Plaid and Birthday Candles Watercolor Wishes 12×12. I adhered the Watercolor piece with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting and the waves from the Lawn Fawn Float My Boat Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman Ink onto a strip of Solar White 80lb and cut the left on an angle. It’s adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My boat and seagulls are from the same set. The boat is stamped in Peacock and the seagulls in Hippo. More 3D Foam Squares adhere them to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Share Kindness Mix add a little sparkle! Love that little boat and the seagulls, just fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! We hope that you will share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery after you check out the rest of the Team’s cards that they have made to inspire you over on the BLOG! Freshly Made Sketches 281

It rained allllll day. Not even a little break. I was holed up in the Store and made sure that I got in a lot of crafty time! Some more Lawn Fawn came in so I entered that. My friend Lori came by to pick up some stuff and I spoke to a bunch of peeps on FaceTime and the phone. Dinner with the ‘rents when I got home and then Jim came by and we ran to the supermarket to get a few last minute things for the party tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, I decided that I’m going to go on the bus to the Stamp Show in Allentown with The Ink Pad. I’ll get to see my buddy Jane! I’m sure that it will be a good time! I’ll let you know if I find any goodies! 😀

One of my projects yesterday is my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I played with some more new Concord & 9th goodies! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the lines from the Concord & 9th Love You Always Photopolymer Stamp Set in Fresh Lilac across the top of my card base. The flower is from the Concord & 9th Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set. It’s stamped in Fresh Lavender for the base and Sugarplum for the petals using my MISTI so I could triple stamp it. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out, to get the petals perfectly placed I used the negative as a template and curled the ends of them to give them little dimension. The center is a piece of Black cut out with one of the other dies from the set and it’s adhered with a 3D Foam Square. All that was left to do was to stamp the greeting, also from the Pretty Petals Set, in Black Licorice. I love that nice big bold flower and there are so many different way that you can stamp it! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have a sensational Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 109

Oh yes, it’s Friday and an actual one for me! I did have a nice day at the Store, my Parents stopped by in the morning and some peeps came in to pick up their orders. My Parents were out at my Brother’s watching the kiddies so I had to fend for myself for dinner, pancakes it was! LOL! We had Thirsty Thursday at my house and Heather and Brian came by. We had a good laugh and it was nice to catch up with Brian, he has been so busy lately we don’t get to see him. I spoke to Jim on the phone for a while, he’s getting ready for his company this weekend. Today I have a haircut in the morning and then another fun filled day at the Store! 😀

What makes today an even better Friday, why it’s time for another Fab Friday sketch…

I played with some more new Concord & 9th goodies! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp in Ballet Slippers and adhered the panel to the card base. I added a piece of Ice Gold Curios Metallic with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner along with a strip of Gold Glitter Card to the background. The flower and greetings are from the Concord & 9th Lily Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Lily in Black Licorice using my MISTI so I could get a nice bold impression by double stamping it. The center is more Ballet Slippers and the flower is cut out with Scissors. My thinking of is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black and that is adhered to the panel. I stamped the you in more Black Licorice and also used my scissors to cut it out. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the Lily and you to the card and it’s done! No one likes to make a sympathy card but I think this would make a very nice one. I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! There is some more inspiration for you over on the BLOG and we hope to see your creation in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time to come and see me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 337

Hello! Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day indeed! It got up into the mid-sixties with plenty of sun! I made sure that I stepped outside quite a few times while I was at the Store! I got in a bunch of new Concord & 9th, got it all checked in and played with some of it too! After work I had dinner with my Parents and came home and cleaned a little. My friend Sue came by and so did Heather and George. A bunch of friends on a Wednesday night, who could ask for anything more?! Today Renee leaves for her little scrapbooking adventure to PA with a bunch of the ladies so I’ll be manning the Store for a few days! 😀

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

A nice layered sketch! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die to cut out a piece of Illustrated Faith 12×12 Paper. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up I heat embossed the XO from the Concord & 9th Love Notes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Vellum. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Gold onto a strip of Black with both ends flagged. I hid the adhesive behind the black strip and adhered the vellum under it. The flower is from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Ballet Slippers and Bubblegum. I used my Scissors to cut it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. It needed a little Sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink, Pink Blush and Gold Sequins. I love that flower, so nice and simple! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for visiting with me! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

I Hate When…

I have been liking Sunday’s as my day off! The one day crop at the Store yesterday was fun as always! I made some cards with Evelyn and Susan, that was a lot of fun! After work I came home and visited with my Parents for a bit and then Jim came over and we watched Rogue One – A Star Wars Story and then ran out for some late night Diner! I haven’t done that in a long time! Today I think that I have some craftiness on tap and then who knows?! I’m sure it will be a good day! 😀

My friend Sue called me the other day and told me that she was going to place and order with Lil’ Inker and there is a stamp set that I have wanted from them for a long time! That’s what I used to make today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar white 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Lil’ Inker Tribal Chic Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Grape Soda, Ballet Slippers and Minty Fresh Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to a piece of Black and then adhered to the card. My greeting is from the Lil’ Inker The Fine Print Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Lil’ Inker Dual Stitched Triangle Dies to cut out the greeting and a few pieces of Black. They are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Orchid and Onyx Sequins and the card is done. I really do love that very different greeting set! So clever! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me! Have a simple and fun day! 🙂

Kind Heartstrings Friend

It’s the weekend peeps! It’s supposed to be warm here but rainy all day today, better than cold and windy, right?! I had a nice busy day at the Store, got to see my friends Arnise and Marianne and I got to talk to Grace!! I was a little tired yesterday, late night Thursday’s will do that! I got home, had some dinner, cleaned a little and then parked myself on the couch for the rest of the evening. Sometimes a lazy Friday is just what you need! 😀

I needed a nice simple card, my brain wasn’t functioning at full capacity yesterday! This is what I came up with. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I placed it in my Mini MISTI and stamped the heart from the Concord & 9th Heart Smile Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. I stamped it three times to get a nice saturated impression. Before I took it out of the MISTI I stamped the friend sentiment from the same set in more Merman Ink. The Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die is then used to cut out a piece of Ballerina Pink and that is adhered to the card over the stamped heart with 3D Foam Squares. I cut out the kind from another piece of Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Kind Card Add-On Die and adhered it to the heart with my Quickie Glue Pen. I love the way the kind seems to come out of the Heartstrings die cut! I hope that you like my quick card for today! Thanks for stopping by and have a super Saturday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 280

What a lovely Thursday I had! I managed to get a bunch of stuff done at the Store which was great despite me leaving at 3:00. Jim got to my house around 4:30 and we headed out around 4:45. We made pretty good time into Manhattan and went straight to Nick’s for dinner. I haven’t been there in a long time, ever since Kim moved out of the neighborhood. Dinner was delicious and after we walked for a bit and then took the Subway down to Times Square and headed to the St. James Theatre to see Present Laughter with Kevin Kline. It was a really funny play and the acting was great! Back on the Subway and up to the garage to get the car. We were back at my house by 11:45! Not bad at all! It was a very nice way to spend a Thursday evening! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I started by stamping my images from the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black and coloring them in with Copics.  They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Next I used the Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Black and Solar White 80lb and adhered them together and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the happy in Sugarplum and cut it out with the Coordinating die and two more from 110lb Card Stock. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The rest of the greeting is stamped in Lobster. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the bicycle, girl and groceries and the card is done! I love that bicycle on the road and the fun greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂
