October Lawn Fawn Card Class!

Happy Saturday peeps! I had a good day and a fun evening yesterday! In the morning I went and got my hairscut and then went and had an eye exam and ordered some new contacts. I had to stop at Michaels before coming back to my house to meet up with Andrew for a bit. He helped me with my project that I have been working on and we got the first part finished! More on that tomorrow! Around 4:00 I started to make my way over to Scrap-A-Latte for night two of card class. Renee and I had some things to discuss and we had some dinner. Class was a blast as usual, my friend Danielle came for the first time and had a great time! Everyone shared their supplies with her and she will be back next month! I really do love the class, everyone is so nice and we have such a fun time! Can’t wait to get started on next month’s cards! This morning I’m going to head into Manhattan to meet up with Grace! We have spoken to each other here on the blog for over two years! I’m so excited to finally get to meet her in person!

As always, today I have the cards from class! We used Lawn Fawn again and everyone loved the cards! I have three because I forgot to take a picture of the gift box that we made, bit I’ll do that and post it tomorrow! Without further ado, here are the cards…

Paper Players 266

Yet another nice day again yesterday but the weather men say that that might be it for a while. I hope they’re wrong! LOL! Brian came by yesterday to help me with a big project that I’m working on. I’ll tell you more about it next week! We ran over to Monty’s to grab some pizza for lunch. I spoke to Michael for a bit when we got back and after Brian left I worked on some projects and then went next door and played with Daniel. We had dinner and then back to working on some projects before enjoying my one TV show, Limitless. Let’s hope that this one stays on!

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

It took me a while to see past the traffic light colors and come up with Christmas! The base for the card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock that is cut to 4 1/2″ and the front is covered in a piece of Cucumber Crush that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Squares. A piece of Real Red is cut out with the Small Stitched Squares and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL to serve as my background. To create my little “scene” I cut out some Silver Foil Sheet with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Ovals. The gingerbread men are from the Lawn Fawn Oh Snap Photopolymer Stamp Set, the rest of the images are form the Lawn Fawn Love You A Latte Photopolymer Stamp Set. I colored them all in with Copics and then used the Coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out. All of them are adhered to the “tray” with SNAIL except the mug, I used Foam Tape for that. For the greeting I cut out some Solar White 80lb with the merry christmas from the Simon Says Stamp Deco Trees Craft Dies and adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My tray is adhered with SNAIL. For little added interest I put some Glossy Accents on the candy canes and coffee in the mug and some Black Glaze Pen over the eyes and mouth on the gingerbread men. Some Enamel Dots from Recollections around the greeting complete the card! I think that Santa will be happy to see that got two of each treat don’t you?! Mojo Monday 419

Another beautiful Sunday here on Long Island! I spent a lot of time in the Stampin’ Galley yesterday working on projects. In the afternoon I decided that it was time that I learned how to change my oil in my car. My dad usually does it but I should be able to so that’s just what I did! Felt pretty good to be able to do it too! After the car was finished I took a ride over to Scrap-A-Latte to pick up some card stock and I took Winston with me. He loves the convertible, no need for him to hang his head out of the window!

When I got back I went to Applebee’s with Mum and Dad for dinner. What did you all do yesterday?!

It’s the start of another week and that means that it’s time for another Mojo Monday challenge…

I picked up this really cool paper pad from Michaels a few days ago and have been meaning to use it so I did on today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Basic Grey that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Feathers Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The gold and shiny black paper is from the Recollections Midnight Magic 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles and Circles to cut them out, rounded the corners on the square with my Corner Chomper and adhered them to the card with SNAIL. A piece of the gold glitter paper from the same pad is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Die along with a piece of Black Fun Foam. I adhered them to each other and to another piece of the shiny black with Multi-Matte Medium. To finish the card I adhered a few Hazel and Ruby The Makery Shine and Sparkle Sequins to the circle with more Multi-Matte Medium. I love the matte gold and shiny black paper! Hello! I hope that you are all having a good week! I had a nice day yesterday hanging out at The Ink Pad in Manhattan with Anna. You get to meet some really interesting people in a stamp store in the West Village! It was another beautiful day, the sun was shining and it was nice and warm! When I got home I had a sandwich with some ham, cheese and Salad Cream that I brought back from England, delicious! Then it was time for TV and bed!

Today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. The focus this month is Halloween! If you have arrived here from Raquelle Clifton welcome! She had some great projects, didn’t she?! I have two cards and a fun treat bag for you today so let’s get to it!

First up is a super simple card, probably the simplest card that I have ever made! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. I used a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Something Wicked 6×6 Paper Pad and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. A few Pretty Pink Posh Charcoal and Sparkling Clear Sequins and done! It’s not often that you can find a piece of pattered paper that doesn’t need anything else! Love the sparkly mustache and top hat on the skull too!

The second card has the same base and also a piece of Black covers the front. A simple piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock is the background with a “Vintage” Paper Pumpkin stamp for the greeting. My candies are from the Exclusive Simon Says Stamp with Waffle Flower How We Roll Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Jellybean Ink and Stampin’ Up! Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin’ Ink with the outlines stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I cut them out with the Coordinating Die and adhered them to the card with SNAIL and Foam Tape. I love those brightly colored candies!

Last but not least is my treat bag! I used the Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag Die and some Black 100lb Card Stock for the bag itself. Before I assembled it I cut out a circle from the front with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Dies and adhered a piece of Window Sheet to the inside. Some 1/4″ Score Tape is used to assemble the bag. My ghost is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics, he is form the Lawn Fawn Booyah! Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used the coordinating Lawn Fawn Booyah! Lawn Cuts to cut him, the bow tie and bag out. Some Foam Tape adheres him to the card and the bow tie to him, a little dab of Multi-Matte Medium adheres the bag. For the BOO I used the Lawn Fawn Owen’s ABC’s Photopolymer Stamp Set, stamped them in Tangerine Tango and cut the out with the Coordinating Dies. Some more Foam Tape adhered them to the treat bag. Fill it with some candy and you’re all set for your trick or treaters!

Mojo Monday 418

Happy Monday! I can say that for now, no work for me! I know that I shouldn’t be happy about that, but good things are ahead! I have to run up to the office this morning and get my things. I will miss the people form my old department and my friends. Everything happens for a reason right?! I had a nice day at The Ink Pad with Anna yesterday. It was also a sunny day, a nice change from the rain that we have been having. I drove in and got a space not too far away. When I parked I noticed this Fish & Chips Shop which I think has the best name ever!

Really great name don’t you think?! The day moved along, we were pretty busy. I’m back there on Wednesday. I did get to run down to the basement which you get through by going into the building behind the store and they have one of those really cool old elevators…

Pretty cool! That has been there for a long time! It took me a little bit longer than I thought to get home. I stopped and saw Mum and Dad and had a quick sandwich. Heather called when I got back to my house so I went over to see her for a bit and then by the time I got home it was time for bed. Another really good Sunday!

Now you know what Monday means… it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

I played with some Lawn Fawn again, but this time it’s an exclusive set that you can’t get anymore from last year. Today’s card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Smoky Slate for the background. I wrapped some Hemptique Black Hemp Twine around it and tied it in a bow, it’s then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The panel in the middle is a piece of Solar White 80lb that is stamped with the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Cloudy Sky Ink. It’s cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card, once and then I placed it over the already cut lines to make it a little smaller. A piece of Vellum has the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp with Lawn Fawn Feathered Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It’s adhered around the back and then the panel is adhered to the background with SNAIL and Fun Foam. The two birds and feathers are also from the Feathered Friends Set, both stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored them in with Copics and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Dies to cut out the birds and the feathers are fussy cut with Paper Snips. I tucked the feathers behind the panel and the circle is adhered with SNAIL. Finally two hearts from the Woodgrain Set are colored in with Copics and also cut out with Paper Snips. Some Foam Tape holds them in place. Aren’t those two little birds just the cutest?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! SIP Challenge 16 – Card Maker’s Choice!

Monday… why?! LOL! It wasn’t too bad of a day actually. It was in the 80’s and in the middle of the day it rained for about 45 minutes and then the sun was blazing for the rest of the day. Work was busy and I have a training tomorrow, those are always fun! NOT! When I got home my Simon Says Stamp Card Kit had arrived so I played with that for a bit and then watched some TV while Taylor laid in the middle of the floor and watched YouTube on her MacBook. I also spoke to my cousin Jules and she got her new card today. It’s a Citroen C1 in a fun dark gray with a pink roof!

Cute car isn’t it?! As you can see it was a sunny day in London today too! In other news after a lengthy hiatus Mr. Trent is back with a blog post! He entered the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week! Click HERE and go on over and give his fun card a peek!

Now on to my card for today, it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and we have your favorite this week…

Yes! Make anything that you like! I went with a Christmas card featuring the now sold out limited edition collaboration Simon Says Stamp with Lawn Fawn Cheesy Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set and Dies. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Bokeh in the Snow 6×6 Paper Pad. Across the bottom is a piece of Chocolate Chip stamped with the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp Set in Early Espresso. The greeting is from the aforementioned Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. For my snowflakes I used the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes Lawn Cuts. They are cut from Solar White 80lb and adhered to the background with 2-Way Glue. The shaker is made using the Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow Photopolymer Stamp Set and Shaker Additions. I stamped the snowflakes in Smoky Slate, the mice are from the Cheesy Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I cut them out with the coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered them to the background with more 2-Way Glue. The shaker is assembled with 1/4″ Fun Foam, Window Sheet and Score Tape. Some Seed Beads are used for the shaker material and I attached it to the card with some Magnet Tape so you can take it off again! I love that little cheese christmas tree, so cute! Cardinal in the Park

Hmm… Sunday already! There goes that weekend flying by once again! Yesterday I was determined to get some things accomplished. I ran over to Scrap-A-Latte in the morning and picked up some things to start working on next month’s cards for class. When I got back to the house I straightened up a bit and the made a few cards. Around 6:00 I started to head over to Brian and Kim’s for Brian’s birthday, I had to make a few stops along the way. It was nice to see everyone and just laugh! By the time I got back home it was late and I just wanted my bed! LOL! How was your Saturday?

For today’s card I have another Holiday card. I know that I said that it was too early to start on them but the Holiday’s will be here before you know it! LOL! The base for the card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the new Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop to cut out a piece of Soft Sky, it cuts a perfectly sized card front with lots of falling snow. I adhered it to the card with a combination of SNAIL and 2-Way Glue. Across the bottom is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders across the top and adhered that to the card with SNAIL. The park bench, lamppost and greeting are all from the Lawn Fawn Winter in the Park Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the coordinating Lawn Cuts. My trees and cardinal are from the Lawn Fawn Joy to the Woods Photopolymer Stamp Set, they are also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and are also cut out with the coordinating Lawn Cuts. I used my Copics to color in the bird and the lights in the lamppost. Everything but the bench and bird are adhered to the card with 2-Way Glue, Foam Tape holds the others in place. Yes, I have been loving Lawn Fawn lately, probably because they have so many images that are fun to color in! I hope that you enjoyed my Holiday card for today! Lawn Fawn Card Class!

Hi there! It’s the weekend! Yay! Last night was night two of card class at Scrap-A-Latte. We featured Lawn Fawn this month and it has to be one of the favorites because there were 30 people in class over the two nights! I love getting together with everyone, we always have such a great time! Last night Andrew’s girlfriend Kayleigh came, she said that she will be back next month so I’m guessing that she enjoyed it! Here is a picture of the three of us…

Before we get to the cards I wanted to wish two of my favorite people a Happy Birthday! My traveling companion Brian and my cousin Jules. They happen to share a birthday and they are even the same age!

Pals Paper Arts 269

Oh yes peeps… it’s FRIDAY!! I headed straight over to Scrap-A-Latte after work to finish cutting for class and set up. The drive over was lovely in the convertible! There were 15 people in class last night and like I said, the cards were complicated so the last one finished around 10:00. Not bad, three hours for four cards that had a lot of coloring! I got home around 10:30 and made a quick card for today’s post.

The quick card is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…

I have been in a Lawn Fawn frame of mind lately so I dug out an oldie but goodie! The card base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock. The balloon, clouds and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Blue Skies Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped part of the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black on the card base. A piece of Soft Sky is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Circles and adhered to the card with SNAIL. The clouds are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Vellum, cut out with the coordinating dies and adhered to the circle with 2-Way Glue. I colored in the balloon with Copics, also cut out with the dies, and adhered that with some Foam Tape. For the word BLUE I used the Lawn Fawn Owen’s ABC’s Photopolymer Stamp Set, stamped in Pacific Point, cut out with the coordinating dies and adhered to the card with some more Foam Tape. I think that this would make a great little pick me up card to send to someone that might be going through a rough patch, it would brighten my day! Paper Players 263

TGIW! LOL! We are at the halfway point, didn’t you miss the countdown to Friday?! I didn’t! Ha! The office reared it’s ugly head yesterday and I was super busy but the day did move along quite rapidly. After work I had some quality time with little Daniel, he is such little man now! And fresh! You don’t get kisses anymore! Cheeky little devil! When I got home it was time to change the faucet in the kitchen that my lovely daughter broke while I was away. Thankfully, my dad came over and helped. There is nothing that man can’t do. When that was finished I ran to Michaels to pick up some stuff for card class and tonight I will be off to cut for said class. 🙂

I have been enjoying coloring with my copics and when I saw this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I knew just want I wanted to use! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Hello Honey that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles. The bottom is a piece of Soft Suede also cut with the same die and then again with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. I traced across the slope with a pencil and then stamped the corn stalks from the Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest Photopolymer Stamp Set in Old Olive using generation stamping. The background is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. All of the rest of the images and greeting are from the same set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. They are all cut out with the Lawn Cuts Happy Harvest Dies and adhered to the card with SNAIL. I love the cute images in the stamp set and I’m really enjoying coloring with the copics!
