Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Happy Anniversary Concord & 9th!!

Hello there and welcome back! I appreciate you stopping by again today! It’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! And it’s also Concord & 9th two year anniversary!

Can you believe it?! They have been supplying us with awesome products for two whole years! The rest of the Design Team and I will helping them celebrate all month long! We will be having Friday posts featuring stamps and dies from this month’s release! They also have a super fun stamp set this month that you can earn for FREE with a qualifying $60 or more purchase! You can find out more about that by clicking HERE! We are all featuring that set for our post today! Here is the challenge badge…

As soon as I saw the set I knew that it would become a favorite! We all make a lot of Thank You cards and this one is great for quick ones! My cards are all note card size with bases of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background onto the fronts with Peacock and Jalapeño Ink. Next I stamped the greetings using the Concord & 9th Serious Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in the same colors with my Mini MISTI. The greetings are then adhered to pieces of 29lb Vellum and Fun Foam is used to attach them to my card bases. I could have been done but I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins for a little sparkle! I also stamped the #seriously onto each of the backs of the envelopes! I was going to use these myself but I think that I will tie a piece of ribbon around them and give them to a friend as a little gift! I can always make some more!

I hope that you enjoyed my little card set for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and we hope that you will play along with us and enter your card in the gallery over on the BLOG! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Paper Players 356

Monday already huh?! Another weekend zipped by! I did end up going to the beach with Heather in the morning yesterday, we stayed for a few hours and then ran a some errands. She made me a turkey burger for dinner and then her and George had to go to a wake so I headed back to my house. Later on Taylor came by and we watched TV for a bit. This morning I have a bunch of things to get finished on the computer and it’s supposed to rain so it will be the perfect day for it! 😀

I made a quick card late last night and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To begin my card I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp onto a piece of Smoky Slate with Doe Ink and used my Scissors to cut it out. For the greeting I heat embossed one from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb adhered to the front. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered the tree ring to the card. The little tree rings are from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped randomly in Yeti Ink onto the background. To finished the card I added Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins! As you can see from the picture that Tree Ring is a very well loved stamp! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Aloha Pineapple Thanks

Hi there! The gloomy morning yesterday did turn into a nice sunny afternoon so I did get to enjoy the yard for a while. Heather came by and we ran to BJ’s. I saw my buddy Anthony there. Haven’t seen him in way too long. We are going to make plans and go out to dinner soon. After BJ’s Heather came back to my house for a bit. Later on Taylor stopped by and my Brother and Erika came by my Parent’s with the kiddos! I walked around the yard with Tristan for a while, she is really trying hard to say uncle! The evening ended with a little TV. This morning I think I’m going to go to the beach with Heather for a bit! That should be fun! 😀

I have a simple and fun card to share with you today! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of paper from the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill-In Patterned Paper Pack covering the front. The images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Pop Art Pineapple Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the pineapple in Sunflower and Doe. The leaves are stamped in Jalapeño and then just edges in Noble Fir. My greeting is stamped in Black Licorice and then they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used some 3M Foam Tape to adhere them to the card and added some Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop Sequins to finish the card. I love the nice dark paper with the bright pop of the pineapple! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by! Have a simply amazing Sunday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 110 – Primary Colors!

Another Monday for the books! I was relatively productive, got a few things done in the morning, did a little cleaning and some reading. After dinner I ran to BJ’s with Heather and bumped into Andrew’s Parents. So nice to see them! I have no idea what’s on for today but I’m sure that it will be a good time! 😀

It’s Tuesday so time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I went with a shade of one of the colors! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my MISTI to stamp the large and small hearts and greeting from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set on the inside and outside of the card in Bubblegum and Black Licorice. I also stamped an additional greeting on the inside. To cut out the heart on the outside I used the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Dies. All that was left to do was to add Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Watermelon Sequins! A simple card that is stepped up with the negative die cut on the front! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Primary Colors Challenge! We hope to see your card in the gallery so stop by the BLOG for a little more inspiration! Thanks for visiting! Have an interesting Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 355

As predicted most of yesterday was quiet. I read a little in the morning and then around 3:00 I headed over to Brian & Kim’s to celebrate Kim’s brother Kevin’s birthday! Heather and George were there so I spent most of my time with them. We had fun and it was good to see everyone! Taylor came by and spent the rest of the night with me, we watched a little TV. This morning I’m going to get some cleaning done! Ahh… Mondays! 😀

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I went diagonal from top left to bottom right. My card started by me using the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill0In Stencils and some Sunflower and Lobster Ink to color the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill-In Patterned Paper. I trimmed it to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4  and then used the Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles to cut out a piece from the left side. It’s adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Then I placed it in my Mini MISTI and stamped the greeting from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sunflower inside the negative space of the circle. A few Teresa Collins Red Enamel Dots complete the card! I love the Fill-In Papers and how you can make them any color that you want! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Thank you for starting another one of your weeks off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Orage You Sweet 16

Another nice day yesterday but some rain this morning. I went over to Heather’s early and spent the day with her catching up on some things while she worked. Around 5:00 I headed over to Brian & Kim’s, they needed a ride to a wedding so I drove them over to Floral Park and then came home and watched TV. Today will be a quiet day I hope! 😀

One of my friends asked me to make a card for a sweet 16 so this is what I came up with. It was inspired by a card that I saw on the Concord & 9th site! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the Sweet from the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set in Carrot Ink. The crate is from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Dies. I cut it from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and stamped the woodgrain in Doe. The leaves are from the Petals Set and are stamped in Noble Fir on Noble Fir Card Stock and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I stamped the oranges in Carrot on Fake Tan and cut those out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the crate, oranges and leaves to the card leaving room in the crate to stick in a gift card. The 16 is cut from more Fake Tan with the Hero Arts Classic Numbers Frame Cuts and adhered to the lower right on the crate. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and American Crafts Orange Sequins finish the card! I love the sweet 16 with the oranges, a different take on a birthday card! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for coming by! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

Thanks a Bunch of Petals

Oh boy! It’s Friday! Yay! My day yesterday wasn’t as productive as the previous few but I did get a few things done. I was thwarted by a little visit from my buddy Daniel! He came over to get me and I went over to my Parent’s and spent some time with him and Tristan! She is trying to say uncle and it’s so cute, she’s almost there!

Isn’t she just the cutest?!?! Around 5:00 I headed over to Jim’s to help him clean out the garage and move a china cabinet into the basement. We got it all finished and it looks great! A little pizza for dinner and then some TV before calling it a night. This morning I have a bunch of computer stuff to get done, I think they said rain but who knows! 😀

Today I have a nice simple thank you card to share with you! I used the Concord & 8th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped in Peachy Keen and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass. I cut out three of the flowers and the leaves with the Coordinating Dies and stamped two of the flowers right onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The leaves are adhered with Dot Runner Adhesive and the three die cut flowers with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the same two ink colors and that’s it! I keep saying how much I love to just stamp, you get some fun cards and I get use my ink!! I hope that you like today’s card! I think you so much for your continued visits and wish you all a fun filled Friday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 298

I successfully completed the trifecta of productive days! Sue was over yesterday and we got a lot more stuff out of the Stampin’ Galley! All that’s left to do is take pictures and get it up on the Etsy site! We took a break and went out and had a quick lunch. After she left I did some chores around the house and then had dinner before heading over to see Heather for a bit. Once I got back home I made my card for today and watched some TV. Today I have some more projects to work on, it’s good to stay busy don’t you think?! 😀

That card that I made is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Another pretty simple card using the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set! On my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I masked off the center strip and stamped the images in Carrot and Black Licorice. To define the strip I used my ruler and Copic Pen to draw black lines on either side. The upper right has a piece of Fake Tan Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the same colors using my Mini MISTI. It needed a little something more so I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the orange panel! Not very complicated and yes, you can tell how much I love that Set can’t you?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for coming by! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂

Paper Players 354

Another weekend whizzed by as they always do. I spent a little more time organizing the Stampin’ Galley again yesterday. It has become very apparent that it’s going to take a long time to get it done, I have wayyyyyy too much stuff! It didn’t rain again so I sat outside for a while, it was cooler so it was very nice. Today, more crafty purging, can’t wait to get it finished! 😀

I made a fun little card yesterday for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I love when I can get a lot of use out of a stamp set and the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Set is a great one, so many different options! To start the card I used a few of the images from the set to stamp a watermelon background on a piece of Solar White 80lb using Lobster, Noble Fir and Black Licorice Ink. Next I trimmed a piece of 65lb Vellum to the same size as the stamped panel and lined up one of the Orange You Sweet Dies over the watermelon on the right and used the die to cut it out from only the Vellum. Then I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left of the Vellum. It’s placed back over the stamped piece so I could decided where I wanted my Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Marshmallow Sequins. They are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium, after they dried I added dots of Multi-Matte Medium behind the sequins and adhered it to the stamped panel. A piece of Noble Fir is adhered to the back of that and then the whole thing is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I do love the way the vellum softens the rest of the background and the cutout gives that one a nice pop! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Player sketch challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Sunshine Bulb

Yesterday I finally got into the Stampin’ Galley and started to go through the overabundance of things that I have! There is a lot of stuff! It needs to be organized and thinned out! It was pleasant outstanding again so I spent some time enjoying the weather. Taylor came by last night and hung out, I do so enjoy spending time with the child! We are supposed to have some rain today. Maybe I’ll get through some more stuff! 😀

I have a relatively simple card to share with you today! I used the Concord & 9th Sunshine Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI and some Sunflower Ink to create my background. It’s adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black Licorice. The fun light bulb is from the Concord & 9th Shine Brighter Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the base on Ionized Curious Metallic and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The bulb is heat embossed in Hero Arts White on a piece of 65lb Vellum and they are both cut out with the Coordinating Dies. A piece of 3M Foam Tape behind the base adheres the bulb to the card. Three Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card. Yes, that light bulb is a favorite and I love it with the Sunshine Turnabout behind it! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for stopping by! Have a super Sunday! 🙂
