Hey there and happy Monday?! Nah, Monday is rarely happy. How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good considering I worked on Saturday. I had a nice day yesterday, I got some crafting in, went to see some friends and spent some time outside in the beautiful weather. What were you all up to this weekend, hopefully some good fun happenings! I did get up a little early this morning so I decided to make my Mojo Monday card. If I made the card and wrote the blog post you know it was really early!

Today’s post – Mojo 292, a sketch from Julee Tilman…

As soon as I saw the sketch I though of the Epic Day This and That DSP! The base of my card is Pool Party and I used the soon to be retiring Color Spritzer Tool to spritz some Pool Party ink on it. The pieces of paper are from the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper and on the one I used the “Vintage” Spiral Notebook Border Punch. The flags and the scallop across the middle are all Basic Gray. For the greeting I used the Label Love Stamp Set*, stamped in Gumball Green, and the Artisan Label Punch* with some Stampin’ Dimensionals for some pop. Woo hoo! The color renovation has been announced! I’m so happy that they have kept four of the five 2011-2013 In-Colors! Mojo 291 & Sneak Peek

Morning and welcome to thank god Monday is over! That was not the best day in recent memory. It was a little dreary here and rained a little on and off all day. Mojo 290

Well, I see we all made through Monday in one piece, and that’s always a good thing! My Monday was on the quiet side, how about you? So tomorrow holds a little excitement for us Stampin’ Up! Demos, we get to see the brand new 2013-2014 Catalog! It promises to be amazing as always with some old and some new goodies to help us express our creativity and Make Something that Means Something! I can’t wait!!

Today’s card – Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 290, a sketch from Carole Burrage…

I wanted a simple card with a nice focal point of stamping. The base of my card is Primrose Petals and the background is a piece of Very Vanilla. The bottom half has some paper from the More Amore Designer Series Paper Pack. The stamped images are from the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set, the flowers are Two-Step Stamped in Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple and the leaves in Gumball Green and Garden Green. I used my Simply Scored to create the lines and rubbed some Crumb Cake on them to give them some definition. Some Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon goes across the middle and I fussy cut a set of the leaves and used a Naturals Designer Button with some Linen Thread on top. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is punched out with the Word Window Punch. I hope you enjoyed your little visit with my Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge Card. Hey! That was not a bad Monday as far as Monday’s go, how was your’s? I didn’t do much else besides some crafting last night, I have a ton of projects to get finished. I did get some very exciting news yesterday though. I got an email from Stampin’ Up! letting me know that I have been selected to be a Display Stamper at the 2013 Convention! I can’t even contain my excitement! My projects up on the boards for all to see! I’m a little nervous, they will have to be great projects. Wish me luck!!

The base of my card is Crumb Cake and the background is a piece of Daffodil Delight stamped in Daffodil Delight with the Netting Background Stamp. The paper is from the This and That Epic Day Designer Series Paper Pack. I used three different patterns. The stamped image and greeting are from the Blue Ribbon Stamp Set and are stamped in Calypso Coral and Gumball Green. A Soda Pop Top has a piece of Adhesive Cork Sheet and Large Basic Rhinestone inside. Some Basic Jewels Rhinestones and Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon finish off the card. Hey there! How was Monday? Mine was, well to be kind, not my favorite. Work is extremely busy and it doesn’t show any signs of letting up. I am so happy when I come home and sit down at the craft desk. I get to forget about all of the misery of the day and focus on being creative. It’s the perfect end to a hectic day. When do you do your crafting? I also like to rummage through my supplies from time to time. When I do I inevitably find something that I completely forgot about. Last night was no exception. In amongst the Designer Series Paper was my Boutique Boxes Designer Kit. I think I need to spend a little time going through more and finding little surprises!

Today’s card – Mojo Monday 288 – Sketch Challenge from Sarah Bigelow…

The card base is Basic Gray and the background is Sahara Sand embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. All of the elements are from the Boutique Boxes Designer Kit except the Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape. The greeting is from the coordinating A Little Greeting Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Gray. I really am digging the feathers and the Washi Tape! Hello and good day to you all! I hope that your Monday was good. Mine, busy and that’s all I’ll say! I got my This and That Epic Day Bundle yesterday. It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This time around we have an interesting sketch from Julee Tilman…

Since I got my This and That Bundle today I had to play! The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card Stock. The background is a piece of Pool Party that I stamped with the Netting Background Stamp in Crumb Cake and then sponged some Crumb Cake over it. The Tea Lace Paper Doily is spritzed with some Early Espresso Ink from my Stampin’ Spritzer and some more Crumb Cake is sponged on too. A piece of Calypso Coral is cut out with the Petal Cone Bigz L Die and yes, sponged with still more Crumb Cake. The two pieces of paper are form the This and That Epic Day Designer Series Paper Pack. I backed both of them with some Very Vanilla to make them a little more sturdy. I do that when I am using Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount DSP to a card. On the top piece I rounded the corners with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. Three 3/16″ Metallic Brads are in the upper left corner. I used the new Remember This and That Rotary Stamp to stamp the date on the bottom in Basic Gray. The stamped image is form the A Round Array Stamp Set and is stamped in Pool Party, punched out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, and yes, sponged with more Crumb Cake. I punched a piece of Crumb Cake with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch to back it. The Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool supply the pierced edge. They are mounted to each other and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and also hold the piece of Calypso Coral that is cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies and, well you know! I really do love the new This and That products, they have some great colors and fun distressed looks to them. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. Hey there, how are you today? Things are ok here. Would you believe that it snowed again today, just for a little bit, but it snowed! It was overcast and rainy all day. I am so ready for warm weather. Is it just me or does this winter seem exceptionally long? Oh Mother Nature… whatever we did to make you mad I apologize, can we have some warm now… please?!

It’s Tuesday so today I have my Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card for you. This week’s sketch is provided by Julee Tilman…

Hmm… I think square! LOL! The base of my card is Island Indigo Card Stock and the background is just a plain piece of Sahara Sand. The flag is a piece of paper from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper Pack (now vintage!). The band across the middle is piece of Sahara Sand that I embossed with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and backed it with a piece of Island Indigo. The scallop across the bottom is made by punching some of the stamped images, stamped in Island Indigo, from the A Round Array Stamp Set that is a peek set form the 2013-2014 Catalog! You can order it early, pretty neat huh?! They are adhered to the back of the band with SNAIL and the band to the base with the same. The greeting is also from the A Round Array Stamp Set, stamped in Island Indigo and backed with a piece of Island Indigo that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch. I used the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce around the edge. The stamped image is then adhered to it with SNAIL and to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I think the A Round Array set is nice and versatile and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us! I hope that you enjoyed my Mojo Monday Sketch challenge card. Another fun filled Monday… how about you? I fixed an iPhone back cover last night, always fun! It snowed here again, we got about an inch. I really am so ready for spring. If any of you have some extra warm weather that you could send this way please do so! Thanks! 🙂

It’s Tuesday so that means it’s time for another Mojo Monday Sketch. This week we have a very different sketch from Julee Tilman…

I wanted to use some more of the Sale-A-Bration goodies before it ends in just three short days. Better get those last minute orders in before it’s too late! The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock. The background is a plain piece of Sahara Sand. I used a piece of the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper on the right side and covered it with strips of Island Indigo that I embossed with the Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of 7/8″ Natural Trim Ribbon goes across the middle and is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. The corners are made by punching a piece of Summer Starfruit with the 1″ Square Punch and cutting it in half. I stamped it with the Beyond Plaid Stamp Set in Summer Starfruit and some SNAIL holds them in each corner. The greeting is from the Dude, You’re Welcome Stamp Set and is stamped in Pool Party and cut out with a Sizzix Circle Framelit. I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two little tickets from the You’re Amazing Stamp Set are punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch and one of the buttons form the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack, threaded with some Whisper White Bakers Twine, holds them in place with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I think the greeting works well with the Sycamore Street DSP and the card would work for a man or a woman. I hope that you enjoyed my Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card. So here we are at Tuesday. I try to think of new ways to start the post all the time, it’s not easy! LOL! I do want to take a minute to thank all of you for leaving comments (I respond to every one!) and for your “likes”. When I say that I do this for all of you I really do mean it. Your comments and visits keep me wanting to do more! So thank you all very much!! It was windy and chilly but sunny here yesterday. They are saying snow possible on Wednesday night again but we put the clocks forward this weekend so spring is getting closer!

Tuesday means it’s Mojo Monday time. This week we have a sketch from Carole Burrage…

I know I have said it before but sometimes I just look at a sketch and the whole card just appears in my mind. I LOVE when that happens! The base of today’s card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. For the background and the panels I used some Tea for Two Designer Series Paper. It has a very nice and really coordinated assortment of vintage patterns and really great colors. The stamped image is from the From My Heart Stamp Set and is Stamped in Early Espresso, cut out with a Sizzix Circle Framelit, and again in Lucky Limeade and cut out with my Paper Snips. All of the pieces are mounted to each other and the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A little Soda Pop Top with the butterfly image from the Itty Bitties Stamp Set stamped in Calypso Coral and punched out with the 1/2″Circle Punch is adhered to the card with a Mini Glue Dot. I really love the simplicity of the card and I always like a little fussy cutting! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. Well, that Monday felt longer than the whole weekend! How was your Monday? It was actually a pretty nice day here yesterday but all good things must come to an end and it’s supposed to start raining here later on today. I spoke to my friend Angie in Missouri today and she said they had a ton of snow and are supposed to get more, I told her better her than me!

As always, I chose square, 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 to be exact! The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped some images from the Clockworks Stamp Set in Midnight Muse. Some Soft Suede is embossed with the Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and flagged on the right side. The celebrate is form the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set from Sale-A-Bration and is also stamped in Midnight Muse on River Rock and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the pocket watch in Soft Suede on River Rock and cut it out with my Paper Snips. The 1 1/4″ Circle punch punches out the middle perfectly. The clock face is stamped in Midnight Muse on Whisper White and is punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and adhered to the back with some 2-Way Glue. I stamped the hands and cut them out with my Paper Snips too. A Metallic 3/16″ Brad holds it to the face and a Stampin’ Dimensional adheres it to the card. Some great neutrals paired with Midnight Muse and you have an awesome masculine birthday card. I hope you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.
