Paper Craft Crew 194

Happy Hump Day peeps! I trust that your week is going well! Mine is not too bad. I went to meet Bill at BJ’s this morning to help with something and then came home and stopped by my Parent’s to have lunch. After that I came back to my house and crafted for a bit. I spoke to Sue and her and I are going to go on a little adventure today! Taylor stopped by, she has to have her tonsils out in July, nothing like making someone wait! I also spoke to Michael for a bit and we got caught up! Sandy came by around 6:30 and we went out to dinner to the Noodle Shop. I have been wanting to try it for a while and I must say that we both enjoyed it! I also got a ride in her gorgeous new car, there are so many electronic goodies in there I could spend hours exploring it all! I hope that I can get my morning errands done in time to get back and watch the store for Renee at 2:00! Wish me luck!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

PCCCS194 DT Theme 5-11-2016

I have been using flowers a lot lately and thought that I didn’t have any new ones, I was wrong! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and then adhered it to the card with Tombo Extreme Adhesive. To create my flower panel I traced around the inside of one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals with a pencil and then heat embossed the flowers and stems from the Concord & 9th Shine Brighter Photopolymer Stamp Set with more Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I stamped an extra stem and flower on a another piece of Watercolor Card and then used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them in. Once they dried I cut out the pair with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts and the single flower with the Coordinating Shine Brighter Dies. The extra stem is cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the oval with Multi-Matte Medium. I used some Foam Tape to adhere the flower and then some more Tombo Extreme to adhere the oval to the card. A generous sprinkling of Copper Sequins and the card is done! I really do love the Copper Embossing Powder and the Gansai Tambi Watercolors are definitely my favorite! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so very much for stopping by and catching up with me today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂

Oh boy! The week is moving right along isn’t it?! I woke up later than I wanted to today and for some reason that throws off my whole day. I did manage to make a card this morning with Andrea via FaceTime and we chatted about some Design Team things. Before I headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte I stopped by my parent’s to see Daniel and Erika was there. It was another rainy day so perfect to sit and discuss lots of things with Renee. We got a lot accomplished and that made me feel better! When I got back home it was time for dinner and mum made beef stew, perfect for a rainy day. After dinner I came home and watched some YouTube videos and did some research on my little project. Soon I will be able to share with you what I have been working on! I hope that when you find out what it is that you are as excited as I am!

No on to today’s post! It’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS193 DT Sketch 5-04-2016

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew just what I wanted to do! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of paper from the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper Pack across the upper half of the card. My circles are cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Circle Loops Craft Dies from, you guessed it, Gold Mirror Card Stock! Sick of it yet?! LOL! I adhered them to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a strip of Black 110lb with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. I flagged the left side and adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. I didn’t have a gold button so I took one from the giant bin-o-buttons and coated it in Versa-Mark and dipped it in the Gold Embossing Powder. Some Tweezers helped to hold it while I heat set the powder and I had a matching gold button! Some Hemptique Black Hemp Twine is tied in a bow and the button is adhered to the greeting strip with a Glue Dot. I just had to use that greeting! I think that it’s so different! This would make a fun wedding card, you could write congratulations on the inside and it would go perfectly with the Sinceriously! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and take a look at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so very much for coming by today! Have a wildly wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Is it Friday yet?! It seems like it should be! LOL! Yesterday was a long day! I did have a nice time at The Ink Pad with Barbara and I got to have my Chop’t salad again! YUM! Class was nice with Caitlyn, if she does another Hand Lettering class I’m definitely going to take it! I got home around 11:00 last night and was done! I could’t wait to crawl into bed! Today I have a lot of my stuff to catch up on. Lot’s of stuff actually! Hope I can get through it all!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS192 DT Sketch 4-27-2016

Yup, there is that Goldfish again! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped some of the images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink. More of the bubbles are then heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum that I flagged on the right. My goldfish is from the same set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Slate and Black Ink and then stamped again with the first layer of the stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. My scissors cut him out, although I did finally get the dies! The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. I used E-Z Runner and Foam Tape to adhere everything together and then to attach it to the card. To enhance the bubbles I added some Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray and Sparkling Clear Sequins. And I’m still enamored with that goldfish, I do think that I like him in the back the best! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! No matter how long the day is as long as it’s in Manhattan it’s a good day! The Ink Pad was great as always! Anna and I had a nice productive day, we got lots of stuff entered and put away. I stayed late because there was a class, Handlettering taught a very talented young lady named Caitlyn. She has an Etsy shop if you want to take a look at some of her work you can find it HERE. Kim came by the store and we had Noodles for dinner, she is off to Missouri this morning, I’ll really miss her this week seeing as I’m going to be in the city a lot! By the time I got home it was 10:45. Taylor was there with Kiera keeping Winston company. I sat down and made a card and relaxed a for bit. Ready to do it all over again tomorrow! 🙂

So it’s Wednesday right?! LOL! That means that it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS191 DT Sketch 4-20-2016

I have really been enjoying the look of White Pigment Ink on Kraft Card Stock especially with another ink color stamped over it! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Mossy Meadow onto the base for my background. The circle is a piece of Blackberry Bliss that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies. My greeting is stamped onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies. The greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Grape Juice Ink using the A Bit of Kindness Wood Mount Stamp. My flower and leaves are stamped in Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink and they are from the Hero Arts For you Flowers Color Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the second layer of the leaves in Forever Green Ink and the second layer of the flower in Grape Juice. The flower is cut out with my Scissors and both the flower and greeting are adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give the card a little shine. That Hero Arts For you Flowers is definitely becoming one of my favorite Color Layering Sets! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Team has come ups with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and partaking in my busy week! Yay for Wednesday! Halfway there people! Yesterday was the usual sort of day. It rained in the morning but stopped by 1:00. I crafted with Andrea over FaceTime and went and had lunch and dinner at my parent’s with Daniel! He is too funny! He was playing with his cars, he loves them! I continued work on my upcoming project and got some more stuff for it too. Last night I ran out and got gas in the car. I have to take Brian to the Dr. this morning so it’s an early day for me! I finally got my taxes done too! Thanks Melissa! You’re the best as always!

Once again it’s time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge and this week we have some colors for you…

PCCCS190 DT Colors 4-13-2016

I love when I can just stamp and get to use all of those fun ink colors that I have! For the base of today’s card I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the birds in Tempting Turquoise, Cucumber Crush and Crushed Curry with the outlines stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI. The flowers are stamped in Watermelon Wonder and the leaves in Cucumber Crush. I laid out my flowers, leaves and bird onto my card and then used Press ‘n Seal to pick them up. More of the flowers and leaves are stamped on the card and the I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Audrey Blue to the upper half of the card. While the flowers, leaves and bird were still on the Press ‘n Seal I added Foam Squares to the back, removed the backing paper and adhered them to the card. The Press n’ Seal is then peeled off making sure that all of my pieces stayed exactly where I wanted them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black across the top and the card is finished! I loved getting to use a Christmas set to make a nice bright fun card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter one of yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Happy mid-week peeps! It’s still freezing cold here and I’m not enjoying it one bit! If you have any hot weather that you can spare please send it my way! Brian stopped by yesterday to visit for a bit in the morning and then I made my way over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee. We had a nice little chat and from there I came back home and spent some time with Daniel. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, it was Taylor’s Birthday yesterday, she is no longer a teenager! Boy do I feel old! LOL! Last night Danielle came back over and we finished getting all caught up. I miss her but the stories of work make me glad that I’m not there! Today I need to get crafty, lots of projects to get finished, but you know how I love my crafty time!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS189 DT Sketch 4-06-2016

I wanted something bright, bold and quirky! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. The flagged piece is some Canson 140lb Watercolor Card Stock that I covered in Wilted Violet Distress Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spritzed with water and then I dabbed it with a paper towel leaving that fun Distress Background. A piece of Vellum is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Die and adhered behind the flagged piece. I then adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Across the top is a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper and under that is some Purple Smooth Glitter Washi Tape. My feathers and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Dream Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card Stock. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the flagged piece with E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting in Onyx Black from the same set in the lower right corner of the base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Gold, Ocean Spray and Peacock Feather Sequins are adhered around the feathers for some more sparkle! I think that I got a bright, bold and quirky card, how about you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! And how is your week going? We are at the halfway point and mine is going well. Yesterday I had a pretty busy day, just the way that I like them! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then had a little lunch with my parents. Around 1:30 I stopped at A. C. Moore, I had a $10 rewards certificate that I just had to get rid of! I bought another bead storage container for sequins and other embellies, it’s the one with the bigger compartments this time. From there I stopped and got some gas and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to visit Renee for a little while. We had a nice chat and she shared some of her home-made peach strudel with me. After that I headed over to Deer Park to pick up Bill. He had to drop off Anthony’s van to be fixed, there is a problem with the wheelchair ramp. I drove Bill back to Anthony’s and visited with them for a bit before heading over to Heather’s. We went and had dinner at Applebee’s and then stopped at Lowes so I could get some hardware to hang her new chandelier. After that was finished we watched a little TV and had a laughing fit that lasted about 20 minutes! They are the best aren’t they?! I got home around 12:30 and that was my day!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS188 DT Sketch 3-30-3016

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of Copper Glitter Tape. The two panels are pieces of paper from the Heidi Swapp Dreamy 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut them out. A piece of Blushing Bride that is cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders Lawn Cuts is adhered to the left side of the smaller panel and they are both adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut from a piece of “Vintage” Summer Starfruit with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Balck 110lb. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The fun flower is a Wooden Embellishment from Recollections. I coated the front in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with more of the Copper Powder, it’s adhered with Multi-Matte Medium along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze and Onyx Sequins. I love the copper with fun muted brights on the paper and the sparkle of the glitter tape is a nice added touch! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG to see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

What a day yesterday was. I have been trying to sell an iPhone 5S on eBay. The first time to sold over two weeks ago the guy never paid for it and then it turned out to be a fraudulent account. That took way too long to resolve! I re-listed it and someone hit the Buy it Now button and they didn’t pay either. I emailed them 6 times and finally they sent an email back saying that they changed their mind. Umm… that’s not how eBay works! So I give up! I had Subway with Heather for lunch, she made me laugh, always does! I did manage to get in some crafty time and Taylor and Kiera stopped by for a bit. Andrew came over around 5:45 and we headed up to the mall. Some Chipotle for dinner and then off to see Allegiant which was very good by the way! So after a somewhat annoying morning I did manage to end the day on a nice note!

The craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

PCCCS187 DT Sketch 3-24-2016

Yup, I have been plying with my Lawn Fawn a lot again, I really do just love the images and sentiments! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb cut to 4 1/4″ wide. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Pacific Point and Solar White 80lb. I then used the Lawn Fawn Forest Border Lawn Cuts to cut out my trees on the White. The green is Mowed Lawn Distress Ink applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I added a little bit of Pine Needles Distress Ink to the trees and then adhered the green to the blue and then adhered the whole panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals are used to cut out a piece of Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip. The Chocolate Chip is cut again across the middle using the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and adhered to the Tempting Turquoise. All of the images and greetings are from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Yeti in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him in with Copics flicking in some of the darker gray to give the appearance of fur. The trees are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf and the footprints in Simon Says Stamp Khaki. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I then heat embossed the greeting onto the Chocolate Chip and another piece with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The unbelievable is cutout with the Lawn Fawn Just for You Labels Lawn Cuts. My trees are adhered with E-Z Runner and the Yeti, footprints and unbelievable are adhered with Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins make for some nice stars in the dusky sky! I really do love that Lovable Legends Set, isn’t the Yeti just too cute?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery! I always appreciate you coming by for a visit! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

Ahh… midweek! The weather was much nicer here today. Sunny, well the sun tried to come out as much as it could! I spent some time with Daniel, we had pizza for lunch. I also did some cleaning and crafting just like I said that I would. Got some more cards listed on my Etsy store and even got to chat with Michael for a while. I also went up to Michaels and met Taylor and Keira, Taylor called to tell me that they have gotten lots of new goodies in and I had to go and see what they were! If you haven’t been to a Michaels in a while you are in for a pleasant surprise! All in all a pretty good day. Later on today I’m going to run over to Scrap-A-Latte and get ready for tomorrow’s Lawn Fawn class and catch up with Renee! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can ride over there with the top down!

Wednesday and that means that it’s time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge! This week we have a Tic-Tac-Toe board…

PCCCS186 DT Tic-Tac-Toe 3-16-2016

I used one of my favorite new sets from Hero Arts! My card base for today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. My orchid and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Orchid in a Pot Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped all of the images with my MISTI on Crumb Cake. The first layer of the Orchid is stamped in Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink, Next is some Teeny Bikini and then I used a Prismacolor Yellow Pencil to color in the centers. The stem is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Green Apple ink along with the first layer of the leaves. The second leaf layer is stamped in Green Leaf and the the third in Olive. My pot is stamped in Schoolhouse Red and the dirt in Khaki. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them all out and adhered them to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My greeting is stamped in Teeny Bikini and I added some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink, Lime Sorbet, Sand and Lemon Drop Sequins around the plant for a little sparkle! I do love my sequins! LOL! What’s up peeps? How is your week progressing? Mine… can’t complain! I had a nice day at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday. Yesterday was also my dad’s birthday so I made him a fun and simple card using some patterned paper while I was there! I even used the Envelope Punch Board to make the envelope, the card was 5×7, which I think is a first for me! When I got home I started to craft for a bit and then Heather called so I ran over to see her and then did a little more crafting when I got home before calling it a night! Here is the card that I made for my dad, very simple but it definitely describes him!

Dad B'day 2016

I used a bunch of different papers from the PhotoPlay This Guy 12×12 Paper Collection. Isn’t it great when you can make a card with just patterned paper?!

Now on to today’s post! It’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

PCCCS184 DT Sketch 3-02-3026

I used some Lawn Fawn… again! I’m really obsessed with their latest release, especially the Lovable Legends set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the right is a strip of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles to cut out a bunch of circles from Solar White 80lb and a piece of Vellum. On some of the circles I used the Lawn Fawn Ocean Waves Borders Lawn Cuts. I then added some Simon Says Stamp Surf Blue and Cloudy Sky ink to them with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. My images and greeting are all from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Kraken and ship are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I adhered the Kraken in the waves with Foam Tape along with the ship. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing powder on Vellum and then mounted to a piece of Basic Gray. Before I adhered all of the pieces to the card with Foam Tape I added two strips, one of Basic Gray and one of Smoky Slate, to lower right. Finally, I scattered some Pretty Pink Posh Charcoal and Marshmallow Sequins across the circles. I really do love that set and it looks so neat all colored in with Copics! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time out of your busy day to come and visit with me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
