Paper Craft Crew 143

HELLO! Yup, it’s Wednesday already, the week is moving along at a nice pace! Work was pretty quiet again yesterday, not complaining! It was warm again here too just not as much sun as yesterday. When I got home last night I didn’t know what I wanted to do! I have so many crafty things that try to get out of my head but I just don’t have enough time! LOL! So last night I thought I would see if I could make a tag. After taking the Tags class at Scrap-A-Latte I thought that it was a fun decorative item to make. I’m plotting some kind of display for them as I’m also planning to make more! So that is just what I did last night. I played with some Tim Holtz stuff! I’ll list the products that I used at the very end of the post, in the mean time here is the tag…

I had a lot of fun putting it together and love the colors! Hope that you like it too!

As is the case on Wednesday’s I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS143 DT Sketch 5-06-2015

I have had a bunch of Simon Says Stamp stuff that I have been wanting to play with so that’s what I used for today’s card. My card base today is Neenah Solar White 110lb which makes for an awesome card base! I stamped a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb with the border stamp from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts Photopolymer Stamp Set in Real Red Ink. The envelopes and hello are also from that set and are stamped in Tempting Turquoise. I used the 3/4″ Circle Punch for the hello and my Paper Snips for the envelopes. Across the bottom of the white panel is a piece of Real Red and across the top of that is some PinkFresh Studios Red and Blue Ombre Airmail Washi Tape. I adhered the panel to some Fun Foam and then to the card base. Some Neenah Solar White 80lb is stamped with the dots from the Simon Says Stamp Nautical Borders Photopolymer Stamp Set in Tempting Turquoise and backed with Real Red. It is also adhered to the card with some Fun Foam in the middle. I used the 1″ Circle Punch to punch out a piece of Brushed Gold Card Stock and slid it behind the panel. The hello and envelopes are them mounted to the card with some Foam Tape. I love that Airmail Washi Tape and the nice bright colors on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. You can head on over to the blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has done with the sketch! I also hope that you enjoyed my tag! Thank you so much for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy Wednesday! 🙂

What a nice day we had here today! Work was actually a little on the busy side but I kept sneaking outside! LOL! When the wind died down it was actually warm! My parents took Winston to get groomed today and he all sexy again! He’s also extra lovey because he really wants the bandana off, but it’s too cut to take off just yet! Oh, thank you so much for all of your blog name suggestions!! Unfortunately Taylor Made is taken, but I’ll let you know what she decides! I had a nice evening with Taylor, we ran to Target and I found some sweaters on clearance for $3.98! I had to get three of them! LOL! I also spent a little time organizing my non-Stampin’ Up! stamps and dies, I have quite a few, more than I thought! I saw something the other day that said it all started with one stamp… isn’t that the truth! Here is Winnie, it’s very hard to get him to sit still for a picture!

It’s Wednesday! That means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS142 DT Sketch 4-29-2015

The sketch has a little bit of a collage feel to it! My card, as always, starts with a base of Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Daffodil Delight. My background is a piece of Smoky Slate, I remembered that I had some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in White so I took the cap off and flicked it on the Smoky Slate. Up in the right corner is a piece of “Vintage” Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape, again something that I clearly forgot that I had! My greeting is from the Starburst Sayings Stamp Set and is stamped in Pear Pizzaz and cut out with the Starburst Framelits. Some Fun Foam is adhered to the back and then it’s adhered to the card. A strip of Basic Gray goes across the top and I slipped one of the Hung Up Cute Clips over it. Down in the lower left is one of the Essentials Wooden Elements. Across that is a piece of Basic Gray and some stars from the Hooray it’s Your Day Card Kit. To finish of the card I scattered some sequins from Ellen Hutson, Hazel & Ruby and Pretty Pink Posh. I love the colors, I have been quite the Pear Pizzaz fan lately! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog to see some inspiration from the rest of our Design Team and enter your project in the gallery! Thanks for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 141 & Tags Class

Wow! It’s Wednesday already peeps! The week is moving along at a nice pace! Remember I said that it was supposed to rain here on and off all day yesterday? Well, someone was wrong! It rained in the morning and by the afternoon it was beautiful and sunny! I went over to Scrap-A-Latte right from work and I got to drive over with the top down in the car! What a nice way to end the work day! I hung out with Renee and Angie and got a little ahead by cutting out all of my pieces for the tags. I also spoke with Mr. Trent for a bit on FaceTime and gave a visual update on the store. The class was great and the tags are just fantastic. But don’t take my word for it, have a look for yourself!

Angie's Tag Class 1

This is the first one, just a single tag.

Angie's Tag Class 2

And here is the second one closed.

Angie's Tag Class 3

Here it is with the one side open, it’s like a little mini album!

Angie's Tag Class 4

And the other side, see the embossing paste and the gorgeous Graphic 45 Papers?! Now that would be a nice little gift for mum don’t you think?! I had a great time at the class and look forward to next month’s!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS141 DT Sketch 4-22-2015

This is a nice quick card that I made when I got home last night! My card base is… well… you know what it is! LOL! The background is piece of Basic Gray. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack for the background. Across the bottom is a piece of Hello Honey, I used the same dies to cut this out and stamped the greeting from the Sheltering Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Basic Gray. My strip in the middle is a piece of Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey that I cut out with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Filmstrip Die. The inside is adhered with SNAIL and the frame with strips of Foam Tape. Finally, three butterflies form the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set are stamped in Basic Gray and punched out with the Bitty butterfly Punch. Some pieces of Foam Tape hold those in place nicely! So there you have my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Don’t forgot to head on over to the Design Team blog and see what the others have done. I hope that you enjoyed my card and thanks so much for your visit! Have a fun Hump Day everyone! 🙂

So, remember yesterday when I said that I had tags class at Scrap-A-Latte last night? Well, no, it’s actually next Tuesday! It’s good that I put stuff in my calendar on my iPhone, it’s even better when I actually check said calendar! LOL! It’s also good that Renee called me to let me know that she placed the order for next month’s card class and also mentioned that the tags class is next Tuesday! Maybe I need to try and do a little less?! Nah! Yesterday it was overcast here all day but not too cool so that was ok. I came home and Skyped with Andrea for a bit and then puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley. I also watched some YouTube, never a good idea, I just get sucked in and before I know it 2 hours have passed! Pretty neat that it’s Wednesday already though!

And if it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS140 DT Sketch 4-15-2015

A fun simple layout deserves a fun simple card! My card base is Whisper White Card Stock. I took another piece of Whisper White and used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and Circles to crate my panel. All of the images and greeting are from the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set. I stamped the sunburst in Crushed Curry on the card base and then adhered some Fun Foam to the back of the panel and then adhered the panel to the base. The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzaz and cut out with the leaf die from Dies by Dave. They are adhered under the panel to the base with SNAIL. I stamped the two butterflies in Tangelo Twist and punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches. My greeting is heat embossed on Blackberry Bliss in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut the two banners using the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes and adhered them to the card with SNAIL. My two butterflies are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Kinda Eclectic is one of my favorite sets and I love all of the colors and stitching on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Yesterday was a rainy day here. I came home from work and had dinner and then Heather came by and helped me clean my apartment! It has never been so clean! She is a cleaning machine! Everything in the bathroom and kitchen sparkles! LOL! It needed it bad and now it will be a lot easier to keep up with! We ran out to Target to pick up some odds and ends. I even got to make some cards last night too! What a productive evening, all after work! My brother, Erika and Daniel went to LA yesterday. It was Daniel’s first flight and they said that he was great! He even slept for two hours on the plane! He’s such a good little boy! There is even a picture of him at the airport looking like a seasoned traveller!

I wanted to try some foiling again and Jennifer McGuire came up with a new way to do it using embossing powder! My card today is 5″ x 5″, a size that I never make! The base is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is Garden Green. On top is a piece of the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper. I adhered a piece of Gold 1/8″ Ribbon with some Pistachio Pudding behind it around the back with some Sticky Strip and then adhered it to the card. My main panel is a piece of Whisper White backed with some Calypso Coral. I heat embossed the image from the I Like You Host Stamp Set in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then ran it through my laminator with some Gold Deco Foil. The greeting is from the Cycle Celebration Stamp Set, it’s also foiled and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch along with the flowers that are from the Something to Say Stamp Set and punched out with the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. The main panel is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, along with the greeting and the flowers are adhered with Glue Dots. A Subtles Designer Button is adhered with a Glue Dot and then some Simon Says Stamp Sparkle and Shine Sequins are adhered in the lower right corner. I absolutely love the gold foil with the heat embossing! It’s so smooth and shiny, you can see it a little better in the second picture! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and see the rest of the design team’s projects and enter one of yours in the gallery! I hope that you are inspired to try some foiling on your projects and I thank you so much for coming by to see me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Oh work… do you know what my favorite part is? Doing other people’s jobs! Love cleaning up after other people too! Just the best! Anyway, it was decided at some point during the day that Brian, Heather and I would go into Manhattan to get some street meat! I have never had this delicacy before and I can tell you that I probably will never partake in it again! Chicken and rice from a street vendor on 63rd and Sixth Avenue, no thanks! It’s good that I can say that I tried it once and lived to talk about it! LOL! Brian and Heather love it, me… not so much! I am certain that I will be paying for it today at some point! Still, the ride in and back with the stereo nice and loud was worth it! On the way home the choice was Zedd live from the iTunes Festival at SXSW! Forty minutes of EDM bliss! I have a very varied taste in music. We all know that Sam is my favorite but I can also appreciate a little Carrie Underwood, Easton Corbin, Taylor Swift, Zedd, Knife Party and even the occasional Van Halen! Like I said, very wide taste in music! A good way to end a day!

I used some of my favorite Stampin’ Up! products along with some other faves from Mama Elephant and Simon Says Stamp! The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock and the front is a piece of Mossy Meadow. For my background and “picture” I used some of the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack. A strip of Crushed Curry goes down the left side. My photo frame is the Mama Elephant Polaroid Fun Creative Cuts cut from a piece of Whisper White. The piece of DSP is cut slightly larger than the frame adhered to the back with 2-Way Glue. I used the leaf from Kinda Eclectic, stamped in Mossy Meadow, and the die that I got from Dies By Dave on Esty to cut it out. The leaves are tucked behind the picture frame that is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the Be I used the Simon Says Stamp Be Sentiment Craft Die and some Mossy Meadow. The creative is from the Simon Says Stamp Be Sentiments and is stamped it in Mossy Meadow on Crushed Curry with the end flagged. The two butterflies, also from Kinda Eclectic, are stamped in Crushed Curry and punched out with the Elegant Butterfly and the Bitty Butterfly Punches and adhered to the picture with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few Doodlebug and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are scattered around and they finish off the card. Still love that Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper and the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by our little blog and take a look at what the rest of the designers have done and make a card of you own to enter in the gallery! Always love having you come by and visit! Well, wouldn’t you know it… it’s Wednesday! There is one foolproof way that I always know that, it’s Paper Craft Crew day! But before we get to that I went to the movies last night to see Insurgent with Andrew! We had some Chipotle for dinner and ten headed over to the Broadway Mall to sit in those big comfy chairs! The movie was great! Lots of special effects and a really good plot line. Thankfully they don’t really leave you hanging, we know how much Andrew hates that! He was saying in the car that it’s another seven months before we get to see the final Hunger Games. He really doesn’t like a cliffhanger at all! LOL! Sometimes that’s just the way it happens! I do try to see movies with him that aren’t trilogies or if they are they are all available for download! So, not a bad Tuesday night at all!

Like I said I know that it’s Wednesday because it time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS137 DT Sketch 3-25-2015

This was one of those cards that I put to together in my head! The card base, as is usually the case lately, is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of Bermuda Bay. I used a piece of Whisper White to stamp the confetti from the Balloon Bash Photopolymer Stamp Set with Versa-Mark and some Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then again in Calypso Coral. My middle panel is a piece of the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper backed with a piece of Calypso Coral and tucked under the bottom is a piece of Mossy Meadow that I cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits. Before I adhered the white to the card I wrapped some Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine around it and tied it in a bow. I used the Angled Tag Topper Punch and some Night of Navy to make my tag and heat embossed on it are the candles also from the Balloon Bash Photopolymer Stamp Set. The “light ’em up” is heat embossed separately on a piece of Bermuda Bay and the ends are flagged. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the tag and greeting to the card. Three Hazel & Ruby The Makery Shine and Sparkle Sequins are adhered next to the tag with Crystal Effects and complete the card. I absolutely love that greeting, makes me sing the Fall Out Boy song every time I see it! LOL! So there is my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Stop by the blog and check out the other design team projects and make a card to enter into the gallery too! Thanks very much for stopping by to see my card for today! It has started to get a little chilly here again and we are to go down to 38 today. Well, it was a nice taste of what’s to come! Work was good yesterday, I had my first class teaching the new software. It was good because I had my friend Casey there to help out. The rest of the day wasn’t too bad. I came home and Skyped with Andrea and the worked on a few projects. Taylor and I ran to Target, I wanted to get shoelaces. Apparently no one sells dress shoe shoelaces anymore! Nothing else exciting to report!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS136 DT Sketch 3-18-2015

I wanted an über masculine card, one that would work well for a birthday or even Father’s day. The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper form the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares. My circle is a piece of Natural Wood Sheet from EK Success cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles. A piece of Early Espresso is flagged on the bottom and then embossed with the “Vintage” Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. My shoes and greeting are from the Guy Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set, the shoes are heat embossed in Early Espresso Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Crumb Cake and cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is stamped in Early Espresso on a piece of Very Vanilla. My button is one of the “Vintage” Designer Naturals Buttons and it’s adhered with Glue Dots. I love the wood sheets, they give such nice texture and really do help make the card nice and masculine! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch. Don’t forget to stop by the blog to see what the rest of the design team has done with the sketch. I thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a very Happy Hump Day! 🙂

Hi there! First of all thank you so much for all of the comments on yesterday’s card! I’m so happy that you liked it! It is one of my recent favorites! I do love watercoloring and will be doing it a lot more in the future. I actually find it quite relaxing. The weather here was in the 50’s again yesterday and is supposed to go up into the 60’s today! It will be raining but it’s all good. When I got home from work last night I Skyped with Andrea and Eva and had a nice long chat with my favorite person, Mr. Trent! Taylor came over for a little while and I puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit. A pretty good day all around! Oh, I’m participating in a blog hop tomorrow with a new group of people so make sure that you come back for that!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for our sketch challenge…

PCCCS135 DT Sketch 3-11-2015

I’m really liking the Vellum (shocker!) that was recently added to Sale-A-Bration and I used a nice big piece on my card! The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and that background is a piece of Coastal Cabana. On the top is that piece of Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum and across the bottom is a piece of the Washi Tape from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Kit. The panel in the middle is one of the cards from the Project Life This Day Mini Card Collection. I used the Clearly Besotted Notebook Edge Die along the left side. The two feathers and greeting are from the Lovely Amazing You Photopolymer Stamp Set. The feathers are stamped in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay and the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black. I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My star is cut out from a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with the Stars Framelits. A piece of Whisper White that I flagged comes in from the right and three 2013-2015 In-Color Sequins complete the card. I’m really loving the Lovely Amazing You Set, naturally because it has a feather in it! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Go over to the blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with and show us some love by entering your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me, I wish you a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 134

Yesterday started out pleasant enough, it was nice and sunny on the way to work. It started to get a little overcast and then around 3:30 it stared snowing… again! We got about 2 inches before it turned to rain. A nice slushy mess! I did go over to Brian and Kim’s for taco night with Heather and Taylor came along too. Always a very good time! This morning’s ride to the office should be fun! It will be like driving in a giant slushy!

I have been on a bit of a yellow and gray kick lately and my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch is continues on with the trend! Here is the sketch for this week…

PCCCS134 DT Sketch 3-04-2015

This card uses some of my favorites! The base is Whisper White Card Stock. The left side of my background is a piece of paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack and on the right is a piece of Smoky Slate that I stamped with the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Smoky Slate. My greeting is from the Adventure Awaits Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on some Basic Gray. I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used the Banner Punch to punch out another piece of the Moonlight Designer Series Paper and adhered that with another Stampin’ Dimensionals in the upper right of the greeting panel. Down in the lower left are three flowers from the Pictogram Punches Stamp Set, they are stamped in Crushed Curry and punched out with the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. A few of the Simon Says Stamp Moonshine Sequins on the flowers and by the greeting and the card is done! I really do love that Adventure Awaits Photopolymer Stamp Set, I have used it a lot more than I thought I would. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Make sure to stop by the blog and see the rest of the Design Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery. Thanks so very much for your visit, have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
