Paper Craft Crew 51 & More Convention Pics

Hello all! It’s kind of nice that it’s Wednesday already! I think I need every Monday off… how do you think that would go over at work?! Not well I’m afraid! I want to welcome all of my new followers and thank you all for your comments yesterday. My friend Brian was very kind to me in his post yesterday. We did have an amazing time and I can wait to go and see him in Atlanta soon.

So I know that I mentioned that I was lucky enough to get to do the some of the display samples at Convention this year. They put up a nice board to thank us and will you just look at the amazing company I had! WOW!

And the super nice Andrea Withers was the one who organized it all and here I am with her before the crowds got in!

It was so much fun to make the samples and I hope to get to do it again next year!

Now on to today’s post which is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge…

It’s funny how sometimes you look at a sketch with flowers and you see a lighthouse! LOL! The base of my card is Night of Navy Card Stock. The background is created with a piece of Raspberry Ripple that I embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I did the same with a piece of Whisper White and backed that with a piece of Night of Navy. Next I adhered a piece of Raspberry Ripple 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the back before adhering it to the base. All of the stamped images are from the Settin’ Sail Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Night of Navy. The boat, lighthouse and banner are cut out with my Paper Snips, the sentiment in the middle is cut out with the Circle Collection Framelits Dies, The wheel is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and finally the lower greeting is punched out with the Hexagon Punch. A strip of raspberry Ripple is behind the banners and a flagged piece is behind the center greeting. They are all adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really like all of the fun elements in the Settin’ Sail Set and the colors are pretty neat together too! Paper Craft Crew 50

Wednesday… that means only a week left until my little trip to Salt Lake City! It was funny because I had to call Demo Support last night and I said to Rochelle that I would see her next week! LOL! I didn’t think I would ever say that! I’m feverishly trying to get all of my projects done, we’ll see! It was another nice day here today, a little cooler which was nice. They say rain for tomorrow, hope not!

Today’s post – Paper Craft Crew Design Team Sketch 50…

I wanted a neutral, good for a guy or a girl card and this is what I came up with. The base of the card is Smokey Slate Card Stock and the background is a piece of Subtles Designer Series Paper. I embossed a piece of Smokey Slate with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder* and backed it with a piece of Basic Gray. The heart is stamped in Pool Party with the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set and is cut out with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits. For the stamped part of the greeting I used a part of a stamp from the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set markered in Smokey Slate and punched it out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. The piercing is done with the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool. I punched the three little hearts out with the Small Heart Punch and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots. The love is from the Expressions Thinlits Dies* and is adhered with some 2-Way Glue. I told you that I liked the new Thinlits! I think you are going to love the new goodies in the Holiday Catalog! Welcome to Wednesday! It was gloomy here most of the day yesterday again. I think they said that the rain is finally going to stop for the most part on Thursday which will be good since it’s a holiday and it’s sunny this morning! I love an occasional mid weekish holiday, don’t you? I can’t believe that in two weeks I will be leaving for Convention! I have a ton of stuff to do before I go but I’m so excited to get there!

Today’s post – Paper Craft Crew Design Team Sketch…

An interesting little sketch wouldn’t you say?! The base of my card is Basic Gray Card Stock. The background is a piece of Whisper White that I stamped with the Dictionary Background Stamp in Basic Gray. On the left is a piece of Crushed Curry that I cut with the Large Scallop Edgelits Die. I adhered a piece of Raspberry Ripple 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the back before adhering it to the card. Some more Basic Gray is cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies and pierced around the edge with the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool. The label and the buttons are from the Notable Notions Stamp Set and are stamped in Crushed Curry. The label is cut out with the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies and the buttons are punched out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch. The flower is from the Morning Meadow Host(ess) Stamp Set and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple. I used the coordinating Pansy Punch to punch it out. In the middle is a greeting from the A Round Array Stamp Set that is punched out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. Before I adhered the whole thing to the card I cut a Tea Lace Paper Doily in half and adhered it to the card. I really love the color combination, I think it’s warm and bright at the same time. Paper Craft Crew 48

Hello Wednesday and hello to all of you! Halfway there people and that’s a good thing. The rest of this week is going to be busy! I’m going into Manhattan tonight and then tomorrow we have a golf fundraiser at work and I will be there from 8:00am until 11:00pm, then back at work at 7:00am on Friday. Like I said busy!! Crafting time will be shortened but I will still squeeze some in, I need my balance!

Today’s post – Paper Craft Crew Sketch 48…

Simple sketch with a lot of possibilities. The base of my card is Chocolate Chip Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Pack. The middle panel is made up of a piece of Chocolate Chip, a piece of Calypso Coral that I cut out with the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies and a piece of Whisper White that I stamped in Chocolate Chip with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set. A pice of Whisper White 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon goes around the lower half and some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold it to the base. The greeting and the hat are from the Sketched Birthday Stamp Set, the greeting is cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies and my Paper Snips cut out the hat. I’m really liking the “sketched” look of the stamps and the Calypso Coral and Chocolate Chip make a nice color combo. Paper Craft Crew 47

Happy Wednesday peeps! Half way there to my Friday! I’m a little bummed because my friend Danielle, who I work with, went to Vegas this morning and won’t be back until next week. Work is going to be a little lonely for the next few days. It was warm and muggy here yesterday and then rained in the evening. I think we are supposed to get a stretch of some nice weather so that will be good. Not that I mind the rain, it just means more crafty time! LOL!

Today’s post – Paper Craft Crew Design Team Sketch 47…

I was a little puzzled when I saw this sketch, but after letting it percolate for a bit the card took shape. The base of my card is Basic Gray Card Stock. The lower half of the background is Pool Party and the top is a piece from the I Am Me Designer Series Paper Pack. I trimmed a Tea Lace Paper Doily in half for the backing of my sentiment which is from the Four You Stamp Set. I stamped it in Real Red ink on half of a piece of Whisper White that I punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and pierced the edge with the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack. Two flagged pieces of Real Red and So Saffron go on before the doily and I used a piece of adhesive cork sheet across the top. A “Vintage” Brights Basic Designer Button (I knew there was something I forgot to order!) completes the card. I’m loving the colors together and the mix of the doily with the modern deign is fun too! Wednesday, that means that we are halfway there! It was sunny, then gloomy then poured here yesterday. Nothing like having a cacophony of weather in one day! Tonight I’m having dinner with Heather, Kim, Izzy and Savannah. Just me and the lovely ladies tonight! It will be a good time. We are going to Anthony’s Coal Fire Pizza for some oven wings and well, pizza! 🙂

Today’s post – Paper Craft Crew 46…

I decided that I have played with the Venetian Romance DSP enough for a little while! LOL! The base of today’s card is Basic Gray Card Stock. For the background I used some I Am Me Designer Series Paper mounted to some So Saffron. All of the stamps are from the Around the World Stamp Set. The banner across the middle is stamped in Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, Pool Party and Real Red. The cameras are stamped in Pool Party and Calypso Coral and punched out with the 1″ Square Punch. I used the Squares Collection Framelits to cut out the backing for each one. The sentiment is stamped in So Saffron and punched out with the Hexagon Punch and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Two Calypso Coral Candy Dots next to the cameras finish off the card. I really like the colors in the I Am Me DSP and those Candy Dots are quite addicting! Hello there, thanks for stopping by today. How are you? I’m doing just fine. The weather here was beautiful yesterday and last night was perfect have the window open sleeping weather. I love when we actually get Spring weather instead of jumping right into Summer. What is going on in your neck of the woods? It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a fun little square sketch…

When I looked at this I immediately had an idea what I was going to do! The base of my card is Early Espresso Card Stock. I used a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe stamped with the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Crisp Cantaloupe for the background. A piece of Island Indigo is cut out with the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzlit and on top of that is some Soho Subway Designer Series Paper, some are cut out with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits, and there is also a strip. The greeting is from the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set and is markered in Island Indigo so I could leave off the you. I cut it out with the Ovals Collection Framelits and used the Occasion Paper Piercing Pack to pierce around the edge. For the you I stamped the letters from the ABC & 123 Sketch Alphabet Stamp Set in Early Espresso and punched them out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch. I like the way the letters take the place of the end of the greeting and the flowers in the sketch. Paper Craft Crew #44 & Sneak Peek

Well, Wednesday already, that’s pretty nice! I think every Monday should be a holiday! How are things by you? Things here are good, it rained all afternoon today but we are moving along to a heat wave for the rest of the week. We are supposed to get up into the 90’s by Friday. Once again no real buffer between the seasons. It felt like October here on Saturday and a week later we are in Florida!

Today’s post – Paper Craft Crew Design Team Sketch #44…

A cute little sketch that at first I thought a window would be a good way to go but that was too obvious. The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. The background is a piece of Raspberry Ripple that I stamped with the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Raspberry Ripple. The next layer is some Soft Suede that is embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and backed with some Very Vanilla. All of the images that are punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch are from the new Postage Collection Host(ess) Stamp Set* (can you tell it’s one of my favorites?!). Across the bottom is some paper from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack with some Raspberry Ripple 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and fits with the theme of Father’s Day for this week’s sketch. I really am quite fond of the Postage Collection Set* and I’m loving the colors! Woo hoo! The color renovation has been announced! I’m so happy that they have kept four of the five 2011-2013 In-Colors! I’m a little sad to see that Lucky Limeade didn’t make the cut but we also got some former In-Colors back too! Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzaz and Blushing Bride along with a new color Smokey Shadow. They have also moved some colors to different families and of course they are retiring some colors. Paper Craft Crew #43 & Sneak Peek

Yeah, it’s Wednesday and that means we are halfway there to a three day weekend! I completely forgot that Monday is a holiday! What a nice surprise that was when I remembered! When I woke up yesterday morning it was really foggy and then it went up to 85 degrees with some mugginess. I’m not complaining but I did leave the windows open in my house and when I got home everything had a thin coating of pollen. After I Swiffered the cloth was green! It really is amazing how much of that stuff there is around!

Today’s post – Paper Craft Crew Design Team Sketch #43…

I’m really having such a good time with the new stuff! It’s so much fun to see what works with what. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. The middle panel consist of some Soho Subway Designer Series Paper*, Crisp Cantaloupe* and Early Espresso. I stamped the image from the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set in Crisp Cantaloupe*, I thought it slightly mimicked the pattern in the DSP. Some Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon goes around the lower half. A piece Vellum that is cut out with the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzlit is behind a Window Frames Collection Framelit. The greeting is from the Label Love Stamp Set* and is punched out with the Artisan Label Punch* and is backed by a piece of Early Espresso cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. The button is a new Very Vintage Designer Button* that I threaded some Early Espresso Bakers Twine all around the edge. Paper Craft Crew #42 & Sneak Peek

Hey, what’s up?! How are things by you? Things here are ok. It was chilly again today but it’s supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow but we are to have some rain again. I’m liking when things are slightly askew on cards more and more. The base of my card is Pear Pizzaz Card stock. I used the Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on some Island Indigo for the background. The paper is from the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper Pack*. The large greeting is from the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set* and is stamped in Night of Navy. I used the 7/8″ Scallop Circle punch to create the flower and a Vintage Faceted Designer Button is in the center. The happy birthday is from the Wishes Your Way Stamp Set.
