SIP Challenge 47 – One Element Wonder!

Hey there! It was another nice day here, sunny and in the 70’s! YAY! I was at Scrap-A-Latte all day. I worked on some things and spoke to my cousins in England, Andrea and Michael. Miriam stopped by too! When I got home I had some dinner at my Parent’s. I came over to my house and started to work on my card for today. I did stop to run a few errands and then finished it when I got back. I flipped on the TV and Shooter was on so I watched the end of that. Today I need to get a lot of things finished up! A lot of stuff needs to happen in the next few days!

Well, it’s Tuesday and we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

SIP One Element Wonder 47 800

One Element Wonder! Just use one main element on your card! I used some goodies that I found at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday to create my card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the front with a piece of Black 110lb. My background piece of paper is from the Simple Stories Let’s Party 6×6 Paper Pad. I used a frame from the same collection and added some Acetate and a double layer of Foam Tape behind it . Some Sequins and Seed Beads are sprinkled on the card and the frame is adhered over it to make my shaker. All that was left to do was add some of the Enamel Dots, also from the Let’s Party Collection, and the card is finished! Talk about a super simple shaker card and I love the paper, oh, and the frame is so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! You have to go over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the super talented Design Team has come up with to inspire you and don’t forget to add your card to the gallery to share with all of us! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 46 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

I hope that your Monday was a good one! It was supposed to rain here all day but instead we got a little reprieve and it was overcast with peeks of sun every now and then. No complaints about that! I had a nice productive day getting some crafting done in the morning via FaceTime with Andrea. I went over to my parent’s for lunch, I had a bagel with Liverwurst! I love Liverwurst, must be the German in me! LOL! some phone calls were up next, eBay about some charges to my account that shouldn’t have been there, I did call previous and they assured me that it would be taken care of, of course it wasn’t! I have also been having issues with my blog since the last WordPress update so I called GoDaddy, the guy tried to be helpful but told me I would have to pay $30 for them to change something that might fix the issue. Umm… I didn’t do anything to make it not work so I don’t think that I will be paying to get it fixed thanks! By some little miracle it seems to be working all on it’s own again (or maybe Trent from GoDaddy fixed it?!)! After that I stopped by Heather’s to drop off the Nespresso that she bought from me. Speaking of Heather it’s her Birthday today!! Happy Birthday Heather!! From there I stopped by Anthony’s to see him and Bill and then I came home and had dinner. Taylor and Kiera stopped by to binge watch some YouTube, some guy that makes things with a Lathe! Sigh! Before calling it a night I ran to Target to get a few things. Today I have lots to do once again, but it’s all good stuff!

It’s Tuesday and we are ready for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week I came up with a Tic-Tac-Toe board (with a little help from Andrea)…

SIP Tic Tac Toe 46 800

I did the left column down! My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of Gold Mirror Card Stock down the left side with Scor-Tape. The background is another piece of Ivory 110lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woven Next Lever 3D Embossing Folder. I did it with all tabs open on the Multi-Purpose Platform and still thought the Big Shot would explode! Thankfully it didn’t! The panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My orchid is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Orchid in a Pot Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Unicorn, Bubblegum, Raspberry and Forever Green onto some Blushing Bride using my Mini MISTI. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Ribbon Messages Stamp and Cut, I stamped it in Raspberry and cut it out with the smaller of the two banners. It too is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. Of course I had to add some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Gold Sequins around the flower! It’s a sympathy card but not a sad one! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done to inspire you! You can see what our Guest Designer for May, Jan Tinklenberg has to share with you too! Don’t forget to show us your card by posting it in the gallery, we love to see what you come up with! Thank you for your visit today! Have a wonderful Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 45 – Welcome Baby!

Another interesting day for me in Manhattan! I took the same train that I always do but decided to mix things up a bit and take the Subway from Jamaica Station. Thankfully I got a seat because there were some delays and it took just over an hour. There was also some guy on the train that was singing and dancing around for no good reason. It’s a little crowded in the mornings on the Subway to share your “talents” or lack there of! LOL! I was by myself until 2:00 when Mary came in. A Stampin’ Up! Demo from Wisconsin by the name of Melynn Long stopped by and we had a very nice visit! I made the 7:11 train and stopped by my parents for a bologna sandwich before coming home and wondering on my projects for the evening. Today I’ll be back at The Ink Pad with Barbara and the second Hand-lettering Class so I’ll be at the store until at least 9:30. I enjoyed sitting in on the class last time so I’m sure that it will be fun again!

It’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge time and this week we have a Welcome Baby Theme…

SIP Theme 45 800

I had a pram exactly like that when I was a baby! My card is a very non-traditional one! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Curved Edge Die to cut off the lower right of the card front. The background is a piece of Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper also cut with the Curved Edge Die and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I die cut a tag from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Dies and tied a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord through the top. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My fun pickle jar and greeting are from the Unity Stamp Co. In a Pickle Stamp Set. I stamped the pickle jar in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Copics to color them in. A nice thick coating of Glossy Accents is applied over the “glass” to make it look nice and real! The jar is adhered to the tag with Foam Tape and then the greeting is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right on the card inside. I think that it’s a nice funny congrats for an expectant mum! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the clever Design Team has come up with to inspire you! Don’t forget to share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for your visit today! Have a superdelicious Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 44 – Inspiration!

Yes, we had one absolutely lovely day here yesterday! It was in the high 70’s and indeed I was out in the car with the top down and the music turned up nice and loud! In the morning I FaceTimed with Andrea and got a few things accomplished. I left the house around 12:00 and I had a quick lunch with Bill. From there I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to finish the cards for this week’s class. It was nice because Renee’s son Nick was there so I got to catch up with him! When I got back home I had some dinner with my parents and then spoke with Anna from The Ink Pad. Her dad passed away and my heart goes out to her and her family. She has to go to Taiwan for the services so I’m going to help out at the store for the next week. It’s going to be a very very busy week! Let’s see if I can get everything done! 🙂

Tuesday and we have another fun challenge for you over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

SIP 44 Lighthouse Inspiration 800

That is actually the Fire Island Light House not too far from me here on Long Island! I went with a nautical feel for my card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The front is covered in a piece of Real Red. On top of that is a piece of paper from the Authentique Seaside 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut it out. For my shaker I also used the Stitched Rectangles to cut out two pieces of Solar White 80lb and a piece of Acetate. The top panel has a circle cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies. I stamped the greeting in Hero Arts Pool to Navy Ombre Ink from the Simon Says Stamp Naughty Nautical Photopolymer Stamp Set. My back panel has some Tide Pool Ink applied with my Mini Ink Blending Tool and a piece of Night of Navy cut with the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves Die and the Stitched Circles. I stamped the sailboat from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set using the Ombre Ink again and cut it out with the Coordinating Die. Some Foam Tape is applied to the back of the front panel in a double layer and I added Seed Beads and Sequins before adhered the backing. The shaker is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I probably could have put a little less shaker bits inside but the seed beads make a fun noise and keep the sequins from getting stuck! I also think that greeting is really neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Inspiration Challenge! Don’t forget to visit the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you! We can’t wait to see what you make so be sure to share it with us in the gallery! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have a lovely Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 43 – A Sketch!

So, how was your Monday? Mine was pretty good! I crafted with Andrea via FaceTime in the morning and managed to get three cards made! Love when the Mojo is flowing! It was supposed to rain yesterday but didn’t. It was chilly but sunny with a little wind mixed in for fun! I went over to my parent’s for dinner and then Danielle stopped by! I love having weekly visits from her! We chatted and listened to some music and watched some of Magic Mike XXL. After she left I ran to the bank and Target. There were of course rearranging the aisle that I needed to go down so I didn’t get much! Today I have some more crafting to get done, always a good day when there is crafting involved!

It’s Tuesday and I have my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Sketch Challenge 43 800

I used a bunch of different goodies to make my card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Neenah Desert Storm 80lb that I heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp. It’s cut out with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles. A piece of Gold Mirror Card Stock is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames and I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Acetate and a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. Some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink is applied to the Watercolor Card with my Mini Ink Blending Tool. The Gold Frame is adhered to the Acetate with Scor-Tape and some 3M Foam Tape is adhered to the back of that. I added some Gold Chunky Glitter and adhered the Watercolor Card to the back to complete the shaker. My cool flowers and vase are cut from more Watercolor Card using the Concord & 9th Bouquet Die. I used my Mini Ink Blending tool and some Q-Tips to add the Mermaid Lagoon, Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber and Twisted Citron to die cut and the adhered it to the front of the shaker with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A strip of Vellum is flagged on the right and adhered to the shaker with Vellum Adhesive. My lovely is cut out twice from Ivory 110lb with the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Die. More Spary Adhesive holds them to each other and a little Multi-Matte Medium adheres it to the banner. Some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen is added to the lovely and the card is done! I really do love that Bouquet Die and it looks even more fun with the gold glitter in the shaker behind it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Take a peek over on the BLOG to see the other Design Team Member’s inspiration and enter your creation in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a stress free Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 42 – Colors!

Well, it was a good day to stay inside! It rained all day and last night it was freezing! Spring… right?! Not here! I stayed inside most of the day. I FaceTimed with Andrea and crafted a little in the morning. Taylor and Kiera stopped by with Chipotle and ate lunch here. Danielle stopped by after work for a little while so we could catch up a bit, she’ll be back today, there was way too much to talk about! Today I have a little more crafting to get done and later I’m going to take a ride over to Scrap-A-Latte and see Renee. Hope fully it will be a bit warmer here!

It’s Tuesday so that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP 42 Color Challenge 800

Some nice sooting colors! A lot of people had commented that the goldfish would look good in other colors so I gave it a try! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel is Solar White 80lb and all of my images and greeting are stamped onto it. The goldfish, stones and seaweed are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the goldfish in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy and then heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. The stones are stamped in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy repeatedly along the bottom. I stamped the seaweed in Soft Sky and because I clear embossed the fish it created an emboss resist so the seaweed looks like it’s behind them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy. I used the Mini MISTI for the fish and greeting, it makes lining them up a breeze! The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I really do love that goldfish set and I think they do look pretty neat in blues! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! To see more inspiration head on over to the BLOG and don’t forget to enter your take on the colors in the gallery! Thank you so very much for coming by to see me today! SIP Challenge 41 – Weddings!

And we successfully made it through another Monday! It was rainy here in the early part of the day but the sun did manage to come out for a little bit and then later on it got really windy! Such odd weather! I had another pretty low key day. I ran and picked up Brian in the morning from dropping off his car at Jeep, we went back to his house for a bagel and then I came home. Some crafty time with Andrea via FaceTime passed away a good part of the afternoon and Taylor came by to binge watch Netflix with her eyes closed for while! LOL! Brian called and asked if I would run him back over to get the truck so I did. Some dinner with parents and then a little TV to finish off the day. Oh, I did manage to get into a bit of a cleaning frenzy in the Stampin’ Galley! It looks a lot better! I always find “new” things too! Do you do that? LOL!

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog with the rest of the talented Team for this week’s challenge…

SIP Challenge 41 Weddings 800

Ahh, I don’t know why I like a wedding card as much as I do! Remember last year when I went through my wedding card marathon?! Today I stared my card with a base of Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I stamped in Versa-Mark with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background Stamp and heat embossed some Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flowers and leaves are from the Clearly Besotted Sketched Blooms and they are heat embossed with the same Silver Pearl on Vellum and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used a little Multi-Matte Medium strategically placed behind them to adhere them to the card. For the greeting I used the Simon Says Stamp On Edge Love You Die cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I resisted the temptation to add some sequins, it wasn’t easy! LOL! I do love that the card is basically white, I think that it has a nice simple elegant look to it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Get a head start on your wedding cards and share them with us in the gallery by stopping by the BLOG! SIP Challenge 40 – Tic-Tac-Toe from Lisa!

Well, the snow is all gone! It was a nice day yesterday, not warm but sunny. I spent most of the day deciding what to do, don’t you just hate that?! I FaceTimed with Andrea, wished her a Happy Birthday and we crafted for a bit. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, they watched a little TV and I went over to my parent’s to eat dinner. When I got back home I watched some TV and crafted a bit more. I said that it was going to be a relaxing day. Tonight I’m going to the movies with Andrew to see Allegiant. That should be fun!

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog for this week’s challenge… a Tic-Tac-Toe from Lisa…

SIP 40 Tic-Tac-Toe Lisa 800

I went directly across the middle! Sequins and gold and I was sold! LOL! My card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the Recollections Midnight Magic 6×6 Pad and a also a piece of Acetate. The heart is cut out from the gold paper with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Stackables. I adhered the Acetate to the back of the gold paper with E-Z Runner and then added Foam Tape to the back of that. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold and Ballerina Pink Sequins are placed inside and a piece of Black 110lb is adhered to the back of that. The panel is then attached to the card base with more E-Z Runner. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Happy Wedding Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and the coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out. The greeting is stamped in Onyx Black along with the music notes, the hearts in Simon Says Stamp Rosie Cheeks Ink, it’s then cut out with the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the pieces to the card with Foam Tape. Some Uni-ball Gold Gel Pen colors in the hearts on the cake and a little Glossy Accents added to the champagne glasses gives them a little shine! I love that little wedding set and the new banners dies are perfect for so many of the Lawn Sentiments! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the talented Design Team has come up with to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! SIP Challenge 39 – A Sketch from Ginger!

Hi there again! I hope that you had better weather than we did! It was a rainy dreary day here, not a bad for being crafty though! I had to run to UPS to drop off a return to Amazon, FaceTimed with Andrea for a bit when I got back and had some dinner before heading over to see Heather. We watched a little TV and had some wine. A pretty good way to spend a dreary Monday evening! Today I plan to clean a little and get a little more crafty! What’s on for you today?

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we a fun sketch from Ginger…

SIP Sketch Challenge 39 800

My card base starts off with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered with a piece of Black 110lb. I heat embossed the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Background Stamp onto a piece of Basic Gray with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. My Journaling Card, Gold Doily and Love Flag are all from the My Mind’s Eye Fancy That Collection. I adhered the journaling card to the background with E-Z Runner and then added a strip of Gold Foil Sheet that I flagged the right side on. The square is another piece of Black 110lb, I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper and heat embossed my Mr. & Mrs. from the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The square is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The flag has a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine tied in a bow thought the holes and is adhered to the square, it’s self adhesive and the same goes for the doily! I heat embossed the heart from the same stamp set in Blushing Bride Stampin’ Emboss Powder three times and used the 1/2″ Circle Punch to punch them out. A little Foam Tape secures them. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added to give the card even more shine! I do love the journaling card and all of the embellishments from the Fancy That Collection, great colors and fun designs! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Take a peek at the blog and see what the rest of the Team has to inspire you to create a card to post into the gallery! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have a great Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 38 – Colors!

How was Monday? I had a nice one! I crafted in the morning for a bit with Andrea over FaceTime and then I ran over to see my friend Paul for a chat before heading over to Heather’s for some lunch. I had some really good pizza with hot peppers and a glass of wine. After that I came home and finished up some more crafty things before heading out to run a few errands with Heather. We ran to IKEA, Macy’s, TJ Maxx, BJ’s and Michaels! After she dropped me off I had a little dinner and then headed back over to Heather’s to watch a little TV before coming home and finishing up my evening. This morning I’m off to Manhattan for two days at The Ink Pad with Barbara! I’ll be staying with my friend Kim tonight! Love my Kimmie!

Before I get to today’s post a bunch of you have asked for the link to my friend Sue’s Etsy store so here it is!

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP 38 Color Challenge 800

Some nice soft colors from Andrea! I started off with a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Blushing Bride that I stamped with the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Background with Blushing Bride Ink. Next up is a piece of Sahara Sand that I adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner at a slight angle. My lovely flowers are from the Clearly Besotted Sketched Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush using my MISTI and the leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive. After cutting them out with the Coordinating Dies and arranging them on a piece of Solar White 80lb that I used the Clearly Besotted Notebook Edge Die along the left side of I used some Press ‘n Seal to pick them up. To the back I added some Foam Tape and E-Z Runner and then pressed them into place. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black. After adhering the panel to the card I added some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink, Pink Peony and Sparkling Clear Sequins to give it some shine! See, that sequin organizer is really handy as my sequins are always ready to be added to a card! I do love those flowers, such nice detail and shading with only two stamps! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge Color Challenge! Make sure and check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG, they are amazing as always! We hope to see some of your creations in the gallery!
