SIP Challenge 25 – Card Maker’s Choice!

I’m not gonna lie, that was a long day yesterday! I was at Scrap-A-Latte from 10:00am until 4:00pm, I even got to chat with Mr. Trent for a bit, and the I ran home to get all of the stuff together for last night’s The Ton Class at The Ink Pad! I took the 5:15pm train and it was packed, there was an Islander’s game at The Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. The train got into Penn Station late but I decided that I would walk down to The Ink Pad, I need the exercise! LOL! I made it from 34th to 13th in 15 minutes! My long legs come in handy sometimes! Class was great and I think that everyone had fun! I have to say that teaching a card class has to be one of my favorite things to do! At one point I looked out the window and there was my friend Kim! She went next door and had some Subway and came back when class was wrapping up. We chatted for a bit while Abby and I cleaned up and then I decided that I would walk back to Penn. I said goodbye to Kim and when I got back to the station it was packed, the game was over, YAY! The train was packed again on the way home but I managed to get a seat by myself, there was some sort of delay at Jamaica so by the time I got home it was 11:30. A long day but a fun one!

Tuesday and it’s time once again for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week it’s Card Maker’s Choice…

A nice easy one, especially welcome during the busy holiday season! I made a nice quick Christmas card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of one of my all time favorite stacks from Stampin’ Up!, Adventure Bound. I used the Simon Says Stamp Decorative Ornaments Photopolymer Stamp Set to heat emboss one of the ornaments in Recollections Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. The hanger is heat embossed in Ranger Gold Embossing Powder and they are both cut out with the Coordinating Holiday Ornaments Dies. I adhered it to the card with SNAIL and tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Cord in a bow and adhered it to the ornament with a Bling Glue Dot. The Merry Christmas is actually a package decoration that I picked up from the Target Dollar Spot and covered it in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with some more Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. Some Ranger Multi-Matte Medium Holds it to the card. I really do love that Designer Series Paper and the way the Merry Christmas looks all sparkly! SIP Challenge 24 – Colors!

So, I got up late again yesterday! I have to stop that! LOL! I did have a very productive day despite my late start. I went on a cleaning frenzy! All of the stuff that has spilled out of the Stampin’ Galley into the living room has been reorganized and put into the Stampin’ Galley! I spent a few hours making room and rearranging things so that it would all fit! I now have my living room back and even put up my extremely non-traditional Christmas tree! I like to let it settle for a few days before I decorate it. As soon as I have it decorated I will post a picture. I’m warning you, it’s VERY non-traditional! But when it comes to Christmas, that’s me! Later on after dinner I took a ride up to Michaels and Target with Taylor. I had a few things to get and found some things that I didn’t need! Isn’t that always the way it is?!

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We have some fun colors for you…

It reminded Carolyn of Summer, but that’s because in Australia they are heading into Summer! Me, I thought of Christmas! I wanted to play with a few new goodies that I received in the mail yesterday so I used them for today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb with a piece of Black 110lb covering the front. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb and is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. I used the Simon Says Stamp Chisholm Wreath Die to cut out a piece of Cucumber Crush for the wreath and Watermelon Wonder for the bow and berries. They are adhered to the background with 2-Way Glue. The greeting is cut from Watermelon Wonder and Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Merry & Bright Dies. I adhered them to one another and the card with more 2-Way Glue. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium in between the berries. I added some Glossy Accents to the berries for little more dimension. A quick brush of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen over the Merry and the card is done! I love that intricate wreath and the bow and berries that go with it! SIP Challenge 23 – A Sketch!

Another lovely day here on Long Island! I was at Scrap-A-Latte all day, I worked on some cards, practiced calligraphy with a nib and ink (my fingers are a little black!) and had a visit from Brian! I also got to speak to Michael for a while, so good to actually talk to him! When I came home Daniel was still at my parent’s and he filled me on the events of the day while I ate dinner. He’s so animated when he tells his stories! From there it was home to get crafty for a bit before getting ready for bed.

Moving right along with the week it’s Tuesday and that means another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

I do love a tag on a sketch! My card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background strip is a piece of paper from the Bo Bunny Altitude Collection 6×6 Paper Pad. A strip of Silver Glimmer Paper goes across the lower half of the card. My tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb and Blackberry Bliss. I ran the White tag though the Big Shot again with the Simon Says Stamp Kinley Snowflake Die to get the negative of the die cut. The white tag is then adhered to the Blackberry Bliss one. I stamped my greeting and snowflakes from the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Winter Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon and Smoky Slate ink. A piece of cord from the Lawn Trimmings Vivid Lawn Trimmings set is tied though the top and the tag is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered to the tag and complete the card! I do love a negative die cut and the non-traditional colors in the paper! SIP Challenge 22 – Free for Fall!

I had another fun filled day at The Ink Pad yesterday with Anna and Jane. I made some samples and helped out with a custom stamp. I really do enjoy spending time there, such great store and such nice people! When I got home I had a ham sandwich for dinner and then puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit. Its supposed to rain today so I’m going to go over and see Renee for a bit. The products for this month’s card class have come in so I need to start making samples and getting ready for that! I also have some errands to run and lots of organizing to do. Should be another busy day!

The winners were announced for last week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge yesterday. What an amazing collection of cards we had in the gallery last week! I want to personally thank all that participated, your cards were awesome! With that said it’s time for this week’s challenge…

This week we ask you to make a fall themed project! It can be a card, a tag, gift box, place card… anything that you want! I decided on a pack of cards. The bases are Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Early Espresso with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folders, there are two in the pack, one that is woodgrain and another has trees. Next up is a piece of Vellum that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Card Die. My leaves are cut from some My Colors Bronze and The Paper Cut White Gold Curious Metallic using the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Leaves. I adhered them to the Vellum with Foam Tape and then used Score Tape hidden behind the leaves to adhere the Vellum to the card. For a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze and Ellen Hutson Iridescent Ivory Sequins. I think that four cards and envelopes given to someone that you are going to see for Thanksgiving would make a nice little gift, don’t you? SIP Challenge 21 – CAS Christmas!

I had a nice quiet Monday. I crafted for a bit in the morning and then went over to Brian & Kim’s to meet up with Heather for lunch. We had Subway and got caught up. When I got home I spent a little time on FaceTime with Andrea and then took a quick run to A.C. Moore and the bank. I had dinner with my parents and Taylor and then came home and finished up some cards that I have been working on. The rest of the evening was spent watching a little TV. This morning I have to run over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and then who knows!

Since it’s Tuesday it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

I went super clean and simple! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered two strips of paper from the Recollections Midnight Magic 6×6 Pad from top to bottom and right to left to form my ribbon. The bow is from the The Ton Stamps Holiday Bows Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Goldenlocks Ink. The second layer of the stamp is heat embossed in Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder and the it’s cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My tag is cut from a piece of Cherry Cobbler and the greeting is from an old Paper Pumpkin Set. I heat embossed that in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and tied a piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Hemp Twine though the hole. The bow is then adhered with the tag string under it. Very clean and simple but with a lot of sparkle and I love the pop of red! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! SIP Challenge 20 – Colors!

Another busy day yesterday. I did wake up with a massive headache yesterday morning and by the time it went away it was 9:30 so I got a late start. After I puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit I got myself together and ran over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee. After, I stopped home to check the mail, I knew that I had some goodies coming, before I headed over to Sue’s to play with her Brother Scan-n-Cut. Now there is a fun machine! I got four 8 1/2 x 11 pages of stamped images cut out in about 10 minutes! It’s super simple to use too! Thanks for the lesson Sue! From there I came home and had some dinner with my parents and then Taylor stopped by. I wanted to go to Target and A.C. Moore but when I went outside I was greeted by a little warning on the screen in my car telling me that my right front tire was flat! Ugh! I need new tires but not right now! LOL! My dad changed the tire for me and Taylor took me to do my errands. When I got back I headed into the Stampin’ Galley to work on a few more projects before calling it a day. Today I’m going to hang a Scrap-A-Latte for the day, stop by and say hi if you are in the area! It’s Tuesday and you know what that means, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

Some fun colors from Andrea! I wanted to use a new set that I got from Simon to make a fun background so that’s just what I did! The base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Jumbo Stripes Photopolymer Stamp Set along with some Early Espresso, Blushing Bride and Dew Drop Brilliance Galaxy Gold Pigment Ink to create my plaid background on a piece of Solar White 80lb. It covers the entire card front and is adhered with SNAIL. Next up are two snowflakes cut from a piece of Paper from the Recollections Midnight Magic 6×6 Paper Pad with the Simon Says Stamp Kinley Snowflake Die. I adhered them to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My greeting is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Early Espresso using the Simon Says Stamp Handlettered Winter Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used the Simon Says Stamp Hearts and Spoons Dies to cut it out and adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. Finally, I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium to complete the card! I do love that plaid background and being able to use the Jumbo Stripes Set to make it in any color is pretty neat! SIP Challenge 19 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

Hello! I had another one of the I slept in late mornings! Have to stop those before they become a habit! LOL! Yesterday I spent the day watching the store for Renee. I played with lots of goodies and got a few projects done. I also spoke to Andrea on FaceTime, my parent’s stopped by for a visit and I got speak to Michael for a while. After I left I stopped by my friend Louis’ and we went out for some dinner before I headed home. I also got to FaceTime with Jules for a bit before heading to bed. Not a bad Monday! 🙂

So if it’s Tuesday that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a fun Halloween Tic-Tac-Toe Board from Sandy!

I made my card while I was at the store yesterday, I chose the top row but didn’t have my sequins with me so I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes and beak! The card base for today is Recollections Ivory 110lb Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Black 110lb. My background is cut from a piece of Shale Card Stock using the Tim Holtz Birch Trees Thinlits Die. I used a little Vintage Photo Distress Ink and my Mini Ink Blending Tool to give it a little definition before adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The scared little bird is from the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy Stamp Set, the hat and jack-o-latern are from the Crazy Things Stamp Set. I colored them all in with Copics and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. His eyes, beak and wings are cut out separately and they are adhered with Foam Tape. Some Glossy Accents on his eyes and beak along with a little Sakura Black Glaze Pen on the jack-o-latern give him a little more life! He is adhered to the card with Foam Tape along with the greeting that is cut from Pumpkin Pie using the Stampin’ Up! Little Letters Thinlits. SIP Challenge 18 – Sketch!

I know that I keep saying it but it was an absolutely gorgeous day here yesterday! I went into Manhattan in the late morning to see my friends Joe and Penny. Seeing as I’m always early for everything I got to sit in the middle of Broadway for a little bit and enjoy my Venti Vanilla Soy Latte from Starbucks. On my way back to Penn Station I call my friend Kim to see if she had gone to lunch already and she hadn’t so we met up and got Subway and sat in a park near her office. You have to make the most of this lovely weather because before you know it it will be gone! When I got back home I worked on some projects and then later on in the evening I went over and hung out with Heather. We ran to Target for some necessities and then I came home and watched TV for a bit before calling it a night! Here is a little picture of my view in the middle of Broadway…

A fun sketch from your’s truly! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Recollections Black 110lb with a piece of Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum down the middle. I adhered it to the card with SNAIL. My fun clock is cut out from some more Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Clock Shaker Craft Die. The bells are cut from some Silver Foil Sheet. I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits to cut out the Window Sheet, White backing and a piece of Black Fun Foam. My Happy Birthday is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used Multi-Matte Medium to adhere all of the pieces together right after I filled it with some Pretty Pink Posh Flat Sparkling Clear and Gold Confetti Sequins. SIP Challenge 16 – Card Maker’s Choice!

Monday… why?! LOL! It wasn’t too bad of a day actually. It was in the 80’s and in the middle of the day it rained for about 45 minutes and then the sun was blazing for the rest of the day. Work was busy and I have a training tomorrow, those are always fun! NOT! When I got home my Simon Says Stamp Card Kit had arrived so I played with that for a bit and then watched some TV while Taylor laid in the middle of the floor and watched YouTube on her MacBook. I also spoke to my cousin Jules and she got her new card today. It’s a Citroen C1 in a fun dark gray with a pink roof!

Cute car isn’t it?! As you can see it was a sunny day in London today too! In other news after a lengthy hiatus Mr. Trent is back with a blog post! He entered the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week! Click HERE and go on over and give his fun card a peek!

Now on to my card for today, it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and we have your favorite this week…

Yes! Make anything that you like! I went with a Christmas card featuring the now sold out limited edition collaboration Simon Says Stamp with Lawn Fawn Cheesy Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set and Dies. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Bokeh in the Snow 6×6 Paper Pad. Across the bottom is a piece of Chocolate Chip stamped with the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp Set in Early Espresso. The greeting is from the aforementioned Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. For my snowflakes I used the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes Lawn Cuts. They are cut from Solar White 80lb and adhered to the background with 2-Way Glue. The shaker is made using the Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow Photopolymer Stamp Set and Shaker Additions. I stamped the snowflakes in Smoky Slate, the mice are from the Cheesy Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I cut them out with the coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered them to the background with more 2-Way Glue. The shaker is assembled with 1/4″ Fun Foam, Window Sheet and Score Tape. Some Seed Beads are used for the shaker material and I attached it to the card with some Magnet Tape so you can take it off again! I love that little cheese christmas tree, so cute! SIP Challenge 15 – Colors!

First day back to work not too bad, I did have over 1000 emails that I finally got though around 3:30. I met with some people to catch up on what happened while I was away. Just another typical day. My friend Louis stopped by in the evening and we went out and got some frozen yogurt. I got peach and it was delicious! Not a bad day but not an I’m on vacation day either! LOL!

Now on to toady’s post, it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have some colors from Andrea…

I pulled out some Mama Elephant goodies to make this one. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. A strip of Basic Black that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder goes down the right side. My flowers are from the Mama Elephant Freestyle Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Daffodil Delight on Daffodil Delight, cut out with the coordinating dies and adhered to the card with SNAIL. My greeting is cut from some Pool Party using the Mama Elephant Thanks Script Die twice. They are adhered together with 2-Way Glue and then across the flowers with some more.
