SIP Challenge 120 – Colors!

A rainy day here yesterday. I had to take Mum to the dentist in the morning and then Jim came by for a while. We ran to Target and got all caught up. After dinner Taylor stopped by, oh how I love my child! She spent most of the time here watching YouTube videos on her phone! I have some places to take my Parents today and some cleaning to do, a fun Tuesday! LOL! πŸ˜€

It is time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and that’s always fun…

A timely trio of colors! I love to make a card with a stamped background and the best sets to do that with are the ones with little images. I used the Hero Arts Halloween Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set with Black, Orange Soda and Lime Green Ink to stamp my images directly onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is also from that set and is cut from a piece of Black 110lb and Silver Glitter Card. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere them to the card, slightly offset, and it’s finished! A fun and simple Halloween card, maybe for my little buddy Daniel! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! The BLOG has some more inspiration from the rest of the Team so be sure to check it out! We hope that you will play along and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting with me today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 119 – Card Maker’s Choice!

You never know what the day will hold! I had a very busy morning yesterday, I helped Jim with a few things that he needed to get done and then worked on some of my own stuff. Isn’t it nice that I take care of my friends before me?! LOL! After lunch I ran a few errands and then Taylor came by, we had dinner with my Parent’s and watched the Good Doctor. I highly recommend it, it was fantastic! This morning I have to go and pick up my Dad, he’s dropping off his car to be fixed and then I have a bunch of stuff to work on! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

Sometimes you just love a piece of paper so much you want to show it off and that’s what today’s card is all about! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of paper from the First Edition Paper Wild at Heart 6×6 Pad. My leaf and acorn are cut from Tangelo Twist and Chocolate Chip using the Hero Arts Autumn Icons Fancy Dies. The thanks is cut from a piece of Gold Glitter Card and another piece of Chocolate Chip using the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut. They are all adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, with the thanks offset. Just a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done. I love that piece of paper! SIP Challenge 118 – Anything But a Card!

Hello!! I missed you guys! Pennsylvania was awesome! We had such a nice time at the lake and the weather was absolutely perfect! It was in the 80’s all weekend with lots of sun! I was very sad to leave yesterday to come home, so peaceful and serene there! Here is what my view was like for most of the time there…

Isn’t it just perfect?! Now it’s back to reality! I have a lot to catch up on today and hopefully it will all happen! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekends too!

It’s Tuesday and I have my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge to share with you…

Anything but an A2 card! I of course love a tag so that’s what I made! The tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb using the tag die from the Hero Arts June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. My sunflower and greeting are from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the sunflower in Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie, Just Rust and Cup O Joe using my Mini MISTI. The leaves are stamped in Green Hills and Forever Green and they are both cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the leaves to the tag with Dot Runner Adhesive and the sunflower with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is stamped in Cup O Joe and I tied a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord through the top to finish it off. I love that tag die because it folds over so that you can write a nice little message inside! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team project for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope to see your project in the gallery so head on over to the BLOG for some more inspiration! Thanks for coming back to check in with me after my little vacation! I wish you all a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 117 – Watercolor!

A cloudy day but not too bad. We are to get some of the latest tropical storm later today and tomorrow. I got a lot done in the morning yesterday and even more in the afternoon! Heather and Taylor both stopped by and I decided that it was high time that I fixed the broken faucet in the kitchen so we went to the new Home Depot and picked one up. I have to say that changing a faucet is definitely not one of my favorite things to do, no room to work under the sink but I got it done in about 45 minutes! Last night Heather came back and we ran to Bead, Bath & Beyond. Today I have to find some things to do in the house again! πŸ˜€

I have the pleasure of sharing my Design Team card with you today for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I was definitely inspired by the graphic for this one! To begin I smooshed some Mermaid Lagoon onto a piece of Acetate and spritzed it with some water before adding it to a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I repeated the same process with Wilted Violet and again with Mermaid Lagoon. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying! The flower and leaves are cut from Gold Mirror Card using The Ton Petal Cut Peonies Standalone Dies and are adhered to the panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I added the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is stamped in Onyx Black. It’s from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. I adhered it and some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Sea Breeze, Gold and Ocean Spray Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium and the card is done. I love the delicate die cut and watercolor background with the unexpected “label” greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope that you will pay a visit to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share your masterpiece with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and have a great Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 116 – CAS Fall!

I started my day off yesterday with a lengthy trip to the DMV to renew my License. I guess it wasn’t too bad, an hour and a half, it definitely could have been longer. I have had the pleasure of sitting there for over three hours on other occasions! I did manage to make the girl that waited on me laugh so it was time well spent! LOL! After that I came home and cleaned a little and then set out working on a friends computer. The hard drive failed and needed to be replaced. It took it apart and then tried to find the drive that I needed. They had one at Micro Center so Taylor and I took a ride over there and they she wanted to go to Dick’s Sporting Goods. I put the new drive in and put the computer back together and then ran over to see Heather for a little bit. We watched Pretty Woman, I still love that movie! This morning I don’t know what I will do, it’s my Birthday so maybe nothing! πŸ˜€

It’s also Tuesday and time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I do love Clean and Simple and I went really CAS on this one! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the leaf from the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Autumn Ombre Ink with my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp it. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the darker red from the same pad. I added the dots with my Stylus and the Ombre Pad too. I’m a little obsessed with those dots lately, you can blame Jennifer McGuire for that! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper CAS Fall Challenge! The rest of the Team has some great cards for you to use to inspire you over on the BLOG! We hope to see your card in gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have Happy Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 115 – Colors!

One day back and I miss the lake! LOL! I did have a nice day, did some cleaning in the morning and then decided that I couldn’t stand looking at the hideous wallpaper border around the soffit in my kitchen so I started to take that down. Wallpaper is annoying! This then spiraled into me thinking about repainting the cabinets, they are a hideous peach color right now… don’t ask! I’ll take some before pictures and then when it’s all finished I’ll post the final results. It will be a while, I don’t want to rush through it and I don’t know how long it’s going to take to get the layers of paint off of the cabinets!! πŸ˜€

Today is Tuesday even though because of the Holiday it feels like a Monday! That means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

For some reason I had it in my head that I wanted to use one of the fairies from last year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit so I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her in with Copics. She is cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The trail of stars and the greeting are from this year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the stars in Butter Bar and the greeting in Tide Pool right onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The fairy is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Platinum Sequins complete the card! I do love that little fairy especially with the trail of stars behind her! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Go and see the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 114 – A Sketch!

Yes, the cleaning and purging continues! It feels so good to get rid of things that I haven’t touched in years! I have become somewhat of a minimalist where before I was a collector of many things. I guess I owe that in part to my friend Jim, so much easier to maintain the house when you don’t have to move so much to clean! LOL! In the evening I ran a few errands with Heather and then made my card for today. More cleaning and purging is on tap for this morning! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and that means it time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The sketch is actually mine so I had the idea in my head for the card when I created it! I used the Concord & 9th Flower Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI and Ballet Slippers and Minty Fresh Ink to create my background. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My images are from the Concord & 9th Let’s Chat Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are stamped in Hippo and cut out with my Scissors. The latte heart is stamped in Doe. I adhered them to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. For the greeting I choose one of my favorites from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped that in Doe and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. It looks like the coffee is sitting on a pretty tablecloth doesn’t it?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 113 – Back to School!

Well, I did get a lot accomplished yesterday! Most of it was in front of the computer, not the best way to spend a good part of the day but it needed to get done! The kiddies were at my Parent’s so I went over there for a while and saw them. We all had dinner together and then Taylor stopped by my house for a bit. Today, more computer stuff to get accomplished, JOY! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I kept my card super simple and got to use two stamp sets that have been waiting to see ink for a long time! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the Mama Elephant Words Defined Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp it. My apple is from the Mama Elephant Fresh Fruits Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored in the image with my Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. A little 3M Foam Tape adheres it to the card. Super simple and a good card to mass produce. It’s nice to let all of those teachers out there know that they are appreciated every once in a while! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope that you take some time and share your card with us in the gallery! Stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks you for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

Another fun filled Monday! LOL! I did get some things done and helped out a few friends in the morning too! We had an extra early Thirsty Thursday last night over at Heather’s! Stephanie was there and George joined us too! We always have such a good time laughing and catching up! This morning I have to get working on my to-do list for the week! I have been putting off way too much stuff! πŸ˜€

So it’s Tuesday and what does that mean?! Well, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I’m always looking for a reason to use that Eiffel Tower Die from Hero and this seemed like the perfect opportunity! To start my card I die cut the Hero Arts PaperLayering Eiffel Tower from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used a die from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a plane from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock. They are positioned onto a piece of Black 110lb so that I knew where to heat emboss my sentiment, also from the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit, in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The black panel is adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then the Eiffel Tower and plane are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It needed a little more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins! I do really love that Eiffel Tower and the plane too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! SIP Challenge 111

That was a very rainy Monday indeed. It rained all day, not really helping with the Monday’s at all! I did get my computer stuff done that I wanted to in the morning and did a little laundry too. In the evening Jim came by, we had Wendy’s for dinner and then watched TV. I’m having him watch Stranger Things, so far he likes it! This morning I want to get more computer stuff accomplished. Wish me luck! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday so time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Waves Stencil and my Mini Ink Blending Tool along with Soft Pool Ink to create a background. The images and greeting are all from the Hero Arts Seahorse Color Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the large and medium seahorses in Cornflower. The additional layers are added to the large seahorse with Pool and Navy using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I stamped three of the small seahorses in Pool onto the background along with the greeting in Navy. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the scene. I do love that seahorse and the subtle look of the stencil behind it! I hope that you enjoy my Design tEam card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! We hope that you will play along with us! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚
