SIP Challenge 78 – Winter Holiday!

The day started off with some rain that washed away the snow so it wasn’t so bad! When I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store I was happy to see that the ceiling didn’t leak! I guess they finally finished the roof. My Ornament Class was fun, since it’s the Holidays and difficult for people to get to come in at specific times we will be extending the class though the end of the week! After work I did the usual, had dinner with my Parents. Heather is back from New Orleans and she came by to get me so I could run to DSW with her. After that I came back home and worked on my card for today. Renee has her All Occasions Card Class today and I have to start thinking about getting ready for this month’s Card Class, it’s Thursday and Friday! 😀

I can finally share what Andrew and I have been working on, the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store is now online! I will be adding more products daily and there will be specials for all of you! Now through December 31st you get 10% off of any purchase of $20 or more, just use the code SIPFBJKC2016 when you check out! Shipping is free on all orders over $50! I will also have links at the end of each post to the items that I have used on my project!

Now on to today’s card which is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

sip-theme-78-800

I just had to use one of my favorite sets from Hero Arts again! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I heat embossed the Hero Arts Holiday Floral Wood Mount Background Stamp onto a piece of Purple Hearts with some Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder and adhered the panel to the card with E-Z Runner. That favorite set that I mentioned is the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Stamp & Die Combo, I stamped the coffee cups in Hero Arts Passion Flower and Intense Black Inks and cut them out using the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. The cheers is from the September My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from a piece of Blue Mist and two pieces of Solar White 110lb. I used my trusty Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhered them to each other and some 3M Foam Tape to adhered it to the coffee cups. The rest of my greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered it to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Lavender Moon and Cornflower Sequins and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on the cheers was all that was needed to complete the card! I really do love the Coffee Cup Stamp & Die Combo and I have used it a lot in my Holiday Card making this year! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Winter Holiday Theme! Make sure that you stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of my talented Design Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting today! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 77 – A Sketch!

Well, it rained Sunday night into Monday morning so guess what I was greeted with when I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store?! Yep, a steady stream of water from the ceiling again! I guess that they never fixed it from last week and we are supposed to get more rain tomorrow night. Hopefully it will be fixed by then! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class yesterday and I worked on a few cards, I made today’s and a few Just because ones! After work as usual, I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor. I came back to my house and had a quick cup of coffee before heading over to Geroge’s to get Heather. We met Stephanie back at Heather’s and had an early Thirsty Thursday which also included a trip over to Target! I was good and only got a few necessities and some reindeer glitter! Can’t wait to use that in a shaker card! I got home around 11:00 and worked on my post before calling it a day. I’ll be flying solo at the Store today, Renee is going to spend some time with her grandsons. I have a ton of stuff to do so hopefully I will get through it! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

sip-sketch-challenge-77-800

A nice simple sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped the falling snow from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. Down the left side is a piece of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas Paper from the 6×6 Pad. My tag is a piece of Blue Mint that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Tags Lawn Cuts. I cut out another piece from Solar White 80lb and then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts and made my snowy hill for my little scene. The images are all from the Lawn Fawn Cherry Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the pieces to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a Glue Pen. Through the top of the tag I tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Twine and then used two strips of Xyron Magnetic Tape to hold the tag to the card. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Winter Big Scripty Words Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped it in Jalapeño and cut it and three more pieces of Solar White 80lb out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I used the magnet tape so that the recipient could remove the tag from the card and use it as an ornament! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the talented Design Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery to share your take on the sketch with us! SIP Challenge 76 – Embossing!

I have lots of issues this time of year choosing the right coat to wear! Today it was a little on the cool side and I just wore my Columbia Fleece, I was cold! I think I need to rethink my layers! It was good to be back at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store today. I got some of my to do list accomplished and a few projects completed. I also got a very nice surprise for lunch! Heather stopped by with Pizza! She is so good to me! It was nice to get to see her at the store and we had a nice leisurely lunch and then we ran over to the Dollar Tree so she could get some paper goods for Christmas. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s and see my little Daniel! He finished his dinner while I had mine and then we played with his train and some old wooden blocks. Every time I would build a tower he would knock it down and laugh! He really does have the best laugh! My brother took him home around 7:30 and I came home to find Taylor binging on Grey’s Anatomy. She asked if ate and I said that I had and if she wanted some food to go next door so she did. Heather came by around 7:45 to get me so I could go and run a few errands with her. We stopped at Starbucks to get my fave, a Soy Holiday Spice Flat White – No Foam. She has become as addicted to them as I am! A little Heather time is always a nice way to end the day! Today I have a lot of catching up to do at the store and I will get it done! 😀

It’s Tuesday so that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge! This week we have an Embossing Theme…

sip-any-challenge-76-800

I actually started this card a little over a week ago and finished it last night! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Lawn Fawn Blue Jay Card Stock and used the Concord & 9th Joy Die to cut out the word from the middle. After it was die cut I placed the panel in my Mini MISTI, coated it with my EK Success Powder Tool, put the letters back in and stamped it with the Joy stamp from the Concord and 9th Joy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark. Before I sprinkled on some WOW! Metallic Copper Sparkle Embossing Glitter I removed the letters so that just the outline would be embossed. White I was at it I heat embossed the to the to the world under the Joy and to the right. Next I traced the letters onto a piece of Fun Foam and cut out a rectangle with my Craft Knife. I then adhered a piece of Acetate and the Fun Foam to the back of the panel with Scor-Tape adding more Scor-Tape to the back of that. To create my twine bow I cut a piece of Solar White 110lb with my Paper Trimmer to 1/8″ and then used the bow from the Concord & 9th Mistletoe Card Frame Add-On Dies. The two pieces are coated with more Versa-Mark and sprinkled with more of the Copper Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat embossed. I used my Quickie Glue Pen to adhered the strip and a Glue Dot to adhered the bow. The well I created is filled with some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold and Cobalt Sequins and the panel is adhered to the card base. We all know how I love a shaker and how cool is that WOW! Embossing Powder, especially on the Blue Jay Card Stock?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Embossing Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the creative Design Team’s cards! We hope that you will take some time and make a card and play along with us! Thanks very much for your visit! SIP Challenge 75 – Colors!

It is way too cold here for me! I don’t think that the wind is helping much either! LOL! Oh how I miss the Summer! You know how I love my Convertible because the top goes down… well in the Winter I love it for the heated seats! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy today, Renee had her Home Decor class, I really do wish that I had joined that when it started, it’s so neat! I got to see my friend Arnise, she never makes it out of the store without coming back in! LOL! I always joke with her that third times a charm! Taylor was at my house when I got home and she is watching Grey’s Anatomy from the start. Apparently it was too good to leave to go over to my Parent’s for dinner! When I got back to my house she had finished her episode and was off. I watched a few YouTube videos and then messed around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit. Today I have a lot of things to get done at the store. We are closed on Wednesday and Thursday and Renee won’t be in on Friday. I’ll be there avoiding Black Friday shopping! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

sip-75-color-challenge-800

I’ll admit that I had a hand in the color selection… they are some of my favorites! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Hunter Green. For the background I used the Your Next Stamp Scallop Heart Edge Die to cut out the right side of a piece of Tropical Sea. It is then heat embossed with my favorite Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. I used a piece of Post-it Tape to mask off the right side and then adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My tree is made up of all of the open hearts from the Your Next Stamp Stripe-tastic Heart Die. I cut them out of more Hunter Green and stamped all but the smallest one with the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Prints Background Stamp and Emerald Green Ink. The small heart is heat embossed in more Copper Embossing Powder five times. For the trunk I heat embossed a piece of Dark Molasses with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp and yet more Copper Embossing Powder. The trunk is adhered with E-Z Runner and the hearts are adhered with 3D Foam Squares on the bottom and E-Z Runner on top. I added the hearts cut from the border with a Quickie Glue Pen and decided the tree needed some lights so I used my Uniball Signo White Gel Pen for that. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is again heat embossed in Copper. I used one of the small heart dies to flag the ends and adhered it to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. It’s definitely a different card than I’m used to making, it almost has a country feel to it but I do like the hearts used to make the tree and of course all of the Copper embossing! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s inspiration and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to visit with me today! Have an awesome Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 74 – CAS Christmas!

Another lovely day! I’m starting to cherish them as I know they won’t be around for much longer! The Stamp, Ink, Paper store was great! Angie was there today, she has some vacation time to use before the end of the year. We all worked on projects and had quite the productive day! I got my Concord & 9th and it’s all checked in! I did play a little with some of it, love new goodies! After work I went over to my Brother’s and met my Parents there for dinner. Daniel and I played with his new birthday presents, he showed me how they all worked. I got home around 8:00 and did some stuff around the house and watched a little HGTV. I have so much to get done this week, there really aren’t enough hours in the day! 😀

Tuesday… it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and we have a fun this week…

sip-theme-74-800

Clean and Simple Christmas! I used a Hero Set that I have had for a while! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp in Hero Arts Soft Vanilla onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card. A strip of Champagne Curious Metallic goes down the left side. My images are from the Hero Arts Origami Holiday Stamp & Die Combo Set. They are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto more Solar White 80lb and then I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Hero Arts Soft Brown, Red Royal and Charcoal Ink over the images. They are ten cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black in the lower right corner. I decided not to add anything else to keep it very clean! I hope that you like my Design Team Card fro this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Clean and Simple Christmas challenge! SIP Challenge 73 – Grateful!

That was a Monday for sure. I woke up with a little bit of a headache, but it wasn’t too bad. It was hot in the apartment so I’m guessing that’s why. I had a nice quiet ride to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and managed to get two cards made in the morning. The headache got worse as the day progressed and I finally took some Excedrin around 4:30. It had gotten a little bit better by the time I headed home and I felt much better after dinner. I ran a few errands and watched some crafty YouTube videos before calling it a night. Today I want to focus on planning out my classes and future events a little better. I need to work on that, I’m not the greatest at planning ahead! 😀

So, today is Tuesday and that means that there is a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

sip-challenge-73

I have to say that the grateful die in the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves set is probably one of my favorites of all time! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I die cut the grateful from a piece of Deep Blue and then traced the outline onto the card base. I then heat embossed the sentient and leaf from the Concord & 9th Lacy Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. While it doesn’t seem complicated it sure did tale a long time to adhere all of those Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequins! I kept checking to make sure that I hadn’t missed any spots! After the Multi-Matte Medium dried I put some 3D Foam Squares around the sequins and added Fun Foam to the top and then adhered the panel to the card. I did take a picture of what it looked like before I put it together…

sip-73-sequins-wm

Messy cluster of sequins! Just a few more Gold Sequins and the card is finished! I do love the look of all of the sequins through the die cut grateful, it almost looks like it’s a shaker! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and get some inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and share your card with us! Thanks for your visit today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 72

Happy day after Halloween! Have you recovered from your candy comas yet?! It was chilly here yesterday but sunny and the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store closed early yesterday so that Renee and I could go and spend a little quality time with our families! I did get my Hero Arts order and got that checked in and also got my new Kindle! I started reading the The Atlantis Gene, it was a free read on Amazon Prime! It’s pretty good so far! After I left the Store I headed home and met up with my Parents and we drove out to my Brother’s house. Daniel was Marshall from Paw Patrol and Tristan was an elephant! We Trick-or-Treated for a while and then had dinner. Here are some pics along with a selfie of Daniel and I that he said I should take!

And yes, my brother made the firetruck! He’s pretty talented too! We had so much fun with them! Today I need to get some things accomplished at the Store and also finish up some projects. I know, I’m always finishing up projects! LOL! 😀

Let’s see… its Tuesday! Time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

sip-sketch-challenge-72-800

My card for today starts off with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Winter Petite Paper Pad down the middle to the left a little. My star is cut from American Crafts Glitter Card Stock with the Lawn Fawn Puffy Stars Lawn Cuts, I punched a hole in the bottom with my Crop-A-Dile. The greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Battleship Gray that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Lawn Cuts. I tied the large star to the small one with Lawn Fawn Silver Single Cord Lawn Trimmings and adhered the large star to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My seal is created using the Lawn Fawn Narwhal & Friends Lawn Cuts. I cut him out of Black, Slate and Battleship Gray and adhered him together with Dot Runner Adhesive. He is then adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I think that this may very well be Daniel’s Christmas Card! Love that little seal, he’s so cute! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards, including this month’s Guest Designer LeAnne! Thank you for coming by today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 71 – Colors!

Made it though another Monday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was fun as always! Renee worked on her home decor projects and Jean stopped by for a visit. I managed to make a card and get the Concord & 9th entered in. After work I came home and relaxed for a bit before going out to dinner with a friend to Friday’s. On the way home I stopped at Target to pick up a few things and then watched a little TV before bed. Today Renee has her Home Decor Class and I have to get started on a bunch of projects for my upcoming classes. Always something to make! 😀

Tuesday and it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have some colors…

sip-color-challenge-71-800

My card base today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used another piece to stamp my greeting and flower from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped in Rust and the greeting in Mint Julep and Pumpkin Pie. I used the Concord & 9th Happy Card Frame Dies to cut out the flower from Gold Mirror Card and adhered it to the panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Metallic Copper and Fresh Mint Sequins and the card is done! I love those Happy Card Frame Dies and the way that the die cut fits over the flower perfectly! A super simple card thanks to a cool stamp and die set! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Thank you very much for coming by! SIP Challenge 70 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

It was so nice to have an actual day off yesterday, too bad it was to say goodbye to Heather’s Dad. The church service and the service at the cemetery were very sweet and thoughtful. After, all of us went to a restaurant called Paddy’s Loft. Heather’s Brother Scott spoke of their Dad and it was great to hear his memories. We all had good time and remembered him for the wonderful person that he was. In the end it was not sad but rather a lovely day dedicated to his memory. I was unusually tired when I got home and after I had dinner and FaceTimed with Andrea for a bit I took a two hour nap! Not like me at all! It did feel good but that resulted in me staying up much later than I wanted to! Today I’m flying solo at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, Renee has the day off. I’m going to make it a very productive day!

It’s Tuesday and that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge for you…

sip-any-tic-tac-toe-70-800

I went diagonally from top left to bottom right! This card was sort of an evolution, more on that in a bit! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Dark Molasses. My piece of patterned paper is from the Authentique Fresh Collection 12×12 and the greeting from the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Stamp & Die Combo is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. I die cut the Hero Arts Branch Wreath Fancy Die from some Gold Mirror Card and adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The leaves are also from the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Stamp & Die Combo and are stamped in Hero Arts Vintage Metallic Ombre Ink. I heat set the ink, because I have no patience to let it dry (LOL) and then heat embossed the veins in more Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. They are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A piece of May Arts Natural Twine is tied in a multiple bow and adhered to the leaves with a Glue Dot and the card is finished. Or so I thought, the more I looked at it the more I felt it needed something more. So I used the Hero Arts Cardinal Stamp & Die Combo and some Wet Cement, Forever Green, Red Raspberry and Black Ink to make a female Cardinal. I Googled to see what they looked like because I didn’t want a red Cardinal and I think I got pretty close. Her is a picture for reference…

female-cardinal

I cut her out with the Coordinating Frame Cut and adhered her to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. Some Black Gelly Roll Pen and Signo White Gel Pen is added to the eye for a little extra detail and a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry, Rose Gold and Gold Sequins for some sparkle and the card is finished! I think that the female Cardinal is just as pretty as the male in her own way and the card definitely feels more finished with her added! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you very much for sharing in a little of my Tuesday! Have a terrific day! 🙂

SIP Challenge 69 – Love!

Hello my friends! How is the week starting off for you? Mine is pretty good so far! I had a lovely productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got my cards done for this week’s Quick Cards Class and my card for today’s post made too! Angie was at the store yesterday helping out Renee with the Cricut and making page titles. My Parent’s stopped by so my Dad could put air in my tire, they have started loosing air again, just like last year! Grrrr! Taylor also come by and hung out at the store for a bit. After work I had some dinner at my Parent’s and then Heather came by to watch a little TV with me. Today I will get more projects finished, I will! LOL! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog for this week’s challenge…

Ahh… love! It’s what we want a little of isn’t it? My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a heart from Chinese Red and then again from Tropical Sea. Next up I die cut the Love from the Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set from a piece of Black and then from the heart that was inlaid into the Tropical Sea piece. I then inlaid all of the pieces together and adhered them to the base with E-Z Runner. To make up for the heart hanging off of the right side I trimmed a 1/4″ off of the left. The rest of my greeting, also from the Love Stamp & Cut, is stamped in Onyx Black above the die cut Love. A few more hearts are cut from the Tropical Sea and Chinese Red with the Lawn Fawn Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I stamped a few more tiny hearts in Onyx Black and then added some Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze, Raspberry and Onyx Sequins and the card is done! I love the inlaid look of all of the different pieces and I think that the colors are great together! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Love Theme Challenge!
