Sometimes my job is absolutely insane, well, most of the time. I work in a very busy department, we “help” out everyone in the building. I’m lucky because I really do like the four people in my department and my boss is just a really good person. Every once in a while when you do go beyond what is really your job something nice happens. There was a presentation today with Pace University and I offered to do the media set up. Our IT Department is mostly useless and I do like to make sure that the CEO and COO don’t look like fools. After the presentation they both thanked me for making myself available to assist and that they knew because I was there it would go smoothly. Amazing how something so simple as a little thanks can make your day. 🙂
Enough blathering! LOL! Today is a busy day at Stampin’ Up! First they have extended the Join for $25 promotion for one more day. It was supposed to end yesterday but now it will end tonight at 11:50 Mountain Time. If you have been on the fence here are some little things that you should know:
Choose $25 ($26.95) in Stampin’ Up! product for your kit, the kit ships for free too. Upon ordering your kit, you are immediately eligible to place a Demonstrator order and receive a 20% discount.
Place a $150 or more on a Demonstrator order within 45 days and get a one-time 30% discount. You also earn Host(ess) Rewards on your purchases before your discount.

PLUS you will be able to pre-order from the Spring Catalog beginning in December and also earn Sale-A-Bration products during the Pre-Order!! (That would definitely be the reason for me to join!)
Finally, if you join now you will have until March 31, 2014 to meet your $300 quarterly sales goal to stay an active Demo. $100 a month on Stampin’ Up! is easy to do if you are going to be a Hobby Demo and even easier if you are thinking about earning a little extra cash by hosting a workshop.

Now for the reason you spend a little time with me, today’s post and it’s for SUO Challenges. This time around we are given a theme… Harvest. When I thought of that I immediately thought of the Harvest of Thanks Stamp Set, I know, genius right?! LOL! I did want to mix it up a little to keep things interesting! For the base of my card I used some Elegant Eggplant Card Stock. A piece of Early Espresso Core’dinations is embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and lightly sanded with the Stampin’ Sanding System. Next up is the backdrop for my main image which is made using the Truly Grateful Stamp Set and some Crushed Curry Ink. I stamped the image twice, trimmed it and backed it with a piece of Cherry Cobbler. The main image is from the Harvest of Thanks Stamp Set and I stamped the image three times, once in Cherry Cobbler, again in Elegant Eggplant and finally in Crushed Curry. They are cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies and I used my trusty Paper Snips to separate the pieces and then some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold it all together. I like the colors together, especially the brightness of the Elegant Eggplant, I haven’t used that color in a while. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the theme challenge over at SUO Challenges. Visit the blog to see what the other Design Team members have for inspiration and enter your card in the gallery for us to see. Thanks you so much for visiting today. Have a great Tuesday! 🙂
