Ahh yes… it’s Thursday already! Woo hoo! This week is just flying by! It was a gorgeous day here on Long Island yesterday, sunny and there was a nice breeze. Unfortunately I was stuck inside most of the day but I did have a productive day at work. Things are being checked off my lengthy to-do list left and right. Getting stuff done and off of my desk is such a good feeling. My boss promised that she wouldn’t check her email but she has been. I may remote wipe her phone if she doesn’t stop! 🙂
Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge from Cindy…
A nice simple card for a nice simple sketch. The base of today’s card is Perfect Plum Card Stock. The background is a piece of Whisper White that I embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and rounded the corners. The strip of Daffodil Delight is stamped in Daffodil Delight with the Positively Chevron Background Stamp. A pice of Crushed Curry 3/4″ Chevron Ribbon is adhered around the back of the white, I know Crushed Curry Ribbon and Daffodil Delight… I think the Daffodil stamped on Daffodil matches the ribbon quite well actually! The image is from the Chalk Talk Stamp Set and is stamped in Perfect Plum and cut out with the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies. It’s the only image in the set that I haven’t used before and I like it! LOL! Another piece of Crushed Curry Ribbon is tied with a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine to finish off the card. I really do like the colors together, I think I’m needing some more summer! Thank you for stopping by to see my Freshly Made Sketches card for this week’s challenge. Enjoy your Thursday, I know I will!

Thanks Brian! I do love a chevron! Enjoy your day! 🙂
Love your color combo….I was “trying” to use Eggplant yesterday….just have trouble with all the purple shades for some reason! Love the way you attached the panel!
Thanks LeAnne! I don’t use purple a lot either. I’m trying new color combos all the time, the ones that work make it to the blog! LOL! Have a great day! 🙂
Awesome card. Wow, with all the chevrons going in different directions, I’m surprised you didn’t use the punch as well. Love this card.
Thank you Cynthia! I thought the punch might just be a little too much! LOL! 🙂
Love all the chevrons…. WOW. And this color combo is really great, makes me think more of Easter but sure works well together. Have you seen my ‘entry’ for this challenge? Your opinion (honest) would mean a lot to me. I just wish it did not take me so long to make the card but especially to post properly….LOL
Thank you Louise! I needed a different color combo for a change. I looked at your card and it’s gorgeous! Love it!! Sometimes my cards take forever too! 🙂
Perfect Plum and Daffodil Delight,,,,oh so Yummy together!!! Loving it! Good detail of Chevrons in yellow. That really makes the card stand-out! This is to good!!!
Thank you Vicki! Lots of chevrons huh! Have a nice day!
Great card, Justin. I always end up using gray with yellow, but the plum is a nice change. I love it with all the chevrons too. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week.
Thank you Rita! I like gray and yellow together too but we have to mix it up! Have a good week! 🙂
I love the purple and yellow! And I love how you included the three different chevrons – totally works! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
Thanks Linda! I do love a chevron! Have a good week! 🙂
