Well, yesterday just flew by! I puttered around in the morning for a bit and then went to BJ’s with Heather. We stopped at the Deli and got some bagels for breakfast and brought them back to my house to eat them. I finally found some more of my Christmas ornaments and put them on the tree. Around 2:00 I called my friend Sandy to see if she wanted to take a ride out to the Scrapbook store to visit Renee and she said yes so I headed over to her and picked her up and out we went. The store is very barren at the moment, I took some pictures of the one wall that is filled with paper and some stamps and dies.
We had a nice visit and some other people stopped by while we were there. I dropped Sandy off and came home with the intent of getting some Christmas cards made. I did manage to get the ones that my boss wanted for her niece and nephew made but not much else! I’m just going to go through my stash and send out some of those. I do have a bunch of cards made and they should go to good home and not sit in a box! That is one of my New Year’s resolutions. I’m going to send out or sell my cards that I make! That will help pay for some of my crafting addiction too! LOL!
On today’s post which is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…
I decided that I should get a few more uses out of my Christmas stamps! The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock. I adhered a piece of All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper to the base and then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles to cut out the frame from a piece of Cherry Cobbler. A strip of Soft Sky goes down the left side to keep with the sketch. Yes, that’s a shaker, shocker! LOL! The background of it is a piece of Lost Lagoon and I heat embossed the greeting from the Seasonally Scattered Stamp Set in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The frame is again cut out with the Stitched Rectangles from a piece of Pear Pizzaz along with the Window Sheet. Some of the snowflakes from the Frosted Sequins are placed inside and Foam Tape adheres it to the background. I know, I make a lot of shaker cards but I really do love them! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge. I’m off to the mall this morning with Heather and Stephanie, I need to do some Christmas shopping, it’s getting close! I thank you for coming by to see me and I hope that you all have a great Sunday! ๐

Hello Marty!
Thank you! I am definitely a little addicted to the shaker cards! The mall was actually pretty bearable that early on a Sunday morning. I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to drive but I drove Heather’s car. All in all not a bad day! ๐
Fun card ! I love Shaker cards ….I just don`t make them . Maybe that should be on my New Year`s list .
I am a Lawn Fawn fan ….so naturally after seeing your stitched frames from time to time I had to get me some (tee hee)
The scrapbook store is a potential selling place for your card creations ….maybe ?
Thank you Sonny! Yes, I make a lot of shaker cards! LOL! I definitely think that you should give them a try! I am a hug Lawn Fawn fan! The stitched frames are my fave but I also have Simon’s and like those too!
I don’t think that Stampin’ Up! would be a good sell for a scrapbook store, I’ll give it a go though! ๐
Lovin’ the shaker box …… And I love the bold frame around it! Glad you shared it at PPA!
Thank you Linda!! ๐
I have got to try to make a shaker card! If I screw it up I’m sending you the pieces to fix for me! LOL
Ha ha! Ok Grace, fair enough! ๐
Love the unique colour combo, the shaker, and simplicity of this wonderful card!
Thank you Sabrina! ๐
Another shaker, YES! Love it. I am still debating on that stamp but the more i see it the more I need it!
Oh.. that photo of the scrapbook store and those beautiful papers got my creative juices flowing, but I need to buckle down and hit the sewing maching. I need to get my mom’s gift made.
Have an awsome day!
Yes! Lots of shakers Linda! LOL! The stamp set is neat and I love all of the little snowflakes on the merry one!
There are so many different papers in the scrapbook store, so much fun! I want to learn how to use a sewing machine, maybe that will be one of my things for the New Year?!
I hope that you had a good day! ๐
Hi Justin, this card is so cool! I love that merry stamp, and the designer paper is really pretty. I’m glad you found your ornaments and now your tree won’t look so naked, lol! The store is looking good so far, can’t wait to see it full of goodies!! Well I better get moving, I’m helping friends move house today, 3 days before Christmas!?! Happy Monday to you Justin ๐ xx
Hi Kelly!
Thank you very much! I’m happy that I found some of my ornaments, they look a lot smaller on this year’s tree though! LOL! I can’t wait until she has all of the stock in but that will take some time. It’s a lot of money to lay out! Ugh! I hate moving but you are a good friend to help!! ๐
Hi Justin,
Love the shaker card with the snowflakes and that you enjoy making them. I have yet to try doing one so maybe that’s something for the new year!
I think it’s a great idea to sell your cards, I know I would buy them along with many other people especially as you have loads of followers on Pinterest.
I hope that you had fun Christmas shopping and enjoy rest of the weekend. That photo of Daniel the other day is so cute, made me smile and my day.
