Paper Players 235

That weekend went fast, don’t they always?! It was s good weekend though so no complaints! I got a lot of what I wanted to get accomplished done and I found some time to just have a little crafty fun. I worked on some more projects yesterday morning. Taylor stopped by for a bit and then I went and ran some errands with my friend Maureen. We had some pizza for lunch, I was craving it. I came back to the house and finished up a few more things and then was on Skype with Eva for a while. It dawned on me around 10:00pm that I completely forgot about my Paper Players card! Yikes! I managed to put something together quick and that is the card that I have for you today.

This week’s Paper Players challenge is a color one from Anne Marie…

Paper Players #235

The colors made me think of flowers once again! I have used them a lot lately and there are some upcoming cards that feature them too. I decided to go with some abstract ones for this card. The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of Crumb Cake. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut my frame out from a piece of Wild Wasabi. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The flowers are from the Snuggles and Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe on Crisp Cantaloupe and So Saffron on So Saffron. I used my Paper Snips to cut them out and the are adhered to the card with SNAIL. For the greeting I used the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Die and cut it out from a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe, it’s adhered with Multi-Purpose Glue. A nice simple quick card, I love the scribbled flowers and the script thanks! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players color challenge from AnnMarie! Thank you so much for stopping by and have yourselves a magnificent Monday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin, love those smooches roses! (Wow say that three times fast!) Have a great Monday.
    🙂

  2. Good Morning Justin. Nice card- I really like the way everything is framed. You say you put this together quickly- bravo!

  3. Hi again Justin! These Monday’s do come around fast! I can’t believe you didn’t spend more time on this card! So cute! The color combo is great too! I love your wooden spools. I checked our Michael’s and they don’t carry those. She looked at me like I was speaking Greek! I’ll have to check out some other places to see if I can find them. Hope your Monday is off to a great start! We are supposed to see 50 degrees today! Yay! I just have to open a window, even if for a short time!

    1. Hello again Karen!
Yes, Monday’s do come around quickly! It really was a quick card, not one of my best! LOL! I thought that the colors were a little difficult. That wooden spool is pretty old, I don’t know where I got that one from. LOL! We have the ones that I used for the Baker’s Twine in the Michaels by me. I think that you can find them on Etsy too. My day was pretty good. We were a little over 50 today! YAY! I can’t wait to put the top down! 🙂

  4. Very interesting card Justin. I have only been able to see the Smooches stamps as background stamps but now that I see your card I can see there are other uses for it! See, I learn something new from you every day. LOL

Busy day today – lots of little stuff to take care of. Kind of makes for a Monday after I ignored all that needed to be done on Sunday – will I ever learn?

Hope you have a Magnificent Monday today and yes, I think spring may actually be coming. We have sunshine! Yeah! Hugs to you my friend! 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! I do like the Snuggles and Smooches set, they are pretty neat cut out. I’m so glad that I can teach you something new!!
You and I both will never learn, but at least we get the day to try and catch up. I am always playing catch up! One day I will get ahead, it has to happen!
My Monday was pretty good. I hope that you got caught up on all of your stuff! I think that you might be right about Spring, it was over 50 degrees here! Woo hoo! XOXOXO 🙂

  5. Morning Justin, cute card for today, I can’t believe you just threw it together so quickly, too clever! My Monday off was awesome, I slept in, showered around lunch time, and then made 2 birthday and 1 sympathy card. It was so nice to have nowhere that I had to be, no work, no appointments – I’d like that lifestyle everyday, unfortunately it doesn’t pay very well… Back to work today. Sounds like you might be starting to thaw out over there? You’ll be diving into your parent’s pool any day now, lol! Have a great day Justin 🙂 xoxo

    1. Hi there Kelly!
Thanks! It’s not my favorite card ever, that one is tomorrows! Yes, I did just make it quick. Sounds like you had a lovely day, I’m glad! I too would like that lifestyle! Maybe one day! Yes we were much warmer here today and should stay above freezing for the rest of the week! LOL! Nah, I’m not a pool person! Hope your Tuesday was good! XO 🙂

  6. You are so funny…. put something together Quick? This is great. Love your colors, looks almost like an album or book cover. We had spring here! I wish it would last, 45degrees today and sunshine. Rough day though, this time change is killing me, probably because I was out scxrapbooking with friends on Saturday and got home at 2am. Oh well…. had fun and 62 photos done

    1. Ha! Thanks so much Linda! We too had a taste of Spring today, over 50 and lots of sun! I think that the time change isn’t agreeing with me either, I’m really tired tonight! That’s a late but fun night! Good for you! 🙂

  7. Wow, you with great under pressure! Nice card, love the play on flowers too. Your green frame is a great way to “connect” it all, like the greenery that would be in your garden. 😉 I too am having a new appreciation for this set, thanks for the ideas Justin!

    1. LOL! Thank you Jill! Sometimes, not always! I was thinking the same for the frame! 🙂

  8. Love those squiggle roses Justin – they look great cut out. The stitched frame really makes this look like a piece of home decor – great use of the colour palette. Thanks for joining us for our colour challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
