SIP Challenge 10 – Inspiration

Hi there! I see that we all made it through Monday! Mine was a little rough, I ended up leaving work at 12:00, my stomach was bothering me so I came home and laid down for a bit. I didn’t eat anything and finally felt better around 4:00. I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to meet up with Michael. When the store closed at 7:00 we headed over to the Walt Whitman Mall to meet up with Andrew and his girlfriend Kayleigh for dinner at Zinburger. It was great to finally meet Kayleigh and we had a fun time, the food was pretty good too. After that I came home and watched a little TV before calling it a night. Again, I don’t think that I will be having China Fun anytime again soon!

If it’s Tuesday then that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have an inspiration photo from Lisa…

SIP Inspiration 10 400

I used the colors as inspiration for my card. That base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of Lost Lagoon. I used the Simon Says Stamp Postage Stamp Edge Frames Dies to cut out a piece of Crumb Cake and then cut out the You with the Simon Says Stamp Big You Craft Die. My Hello is from the Simon Says Stamp Flip Flop Season Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and colored in with my Prismacolor Pencils. Some Foam Tape and Fun Foam with SNAIL adhere the panel to the card. A few Pretty Pink Posh Summer Mix Sequins are scattered across the card and finish it off nicely! I love the negative of the You cut out of the background and popped up! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Inspiration challenge! Stop by the SIP Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with and let us see your take by entering a card in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

  1. Hello! Justin. I just love the negative “you”! The sequins are perfect too. Hope you are all better today.
    🙂

  2. Hi Justin!
Love the dies you used. That postage stamp die is awesome! And I love the way you ran the YOU off the paper. Very cool card!

    1. Hello Gerri!
Thanks so much! The Postage Stamp Edge Dies are cool and I have wanted that you die for a long time! Hope that you had a nice day! 🙂

  3. Hey Justin! What a gorgeous card, the colours are amazing together, and the sequins are perfect! Glad your stomach issues didnt hang around too long – that’s never pleasant -_- But hey, you got to leave work early so that’s gotta be a bonus! Good news, my demonstrator friend has decided to hang on a little longer and there’s a party on this Saturday! Yay!! She wants me to demonstrate a card I made a couple weeks ago, so that’ll be fun 🙂 Hope your week has started off well! Cheers! xoxo

    1. Hello Kelly!
Thank you very much! My stomach felt better but is still a little off. Leaving work early is always a good thing! That’s really good news about your friend and a party too! Cool! My week is pretty good and I hope that you are having a good one too! XOXO 🙂

  4. Great card, Justin. The postage stamp die adds so much but doesn’t overpower in any way. I love the negative “you” and the red Hello. Great job.

  5. Good Morning Justin:

What a great inspiration piece Lisa chose. The color combination is awesome and so is your card. I think that, next to Memory Box, the Simon Says dies are the best as far as uniqueness.
I’d like to know how you store your dies. Actually, how you fit everything into the Stamping Galley! LOL I figure it’s like your days – you get so much stuff into so little space like you get so much into every day! You are amazing! Have yourself a Top Notch Tuesday! Love and hugs, XO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
Thanks! I like when the rest of the team gets involved in picking the challenges! I agree with you about the Simon Says Stamp dies and wouldn’t you know that Memory Box makes their dies too!
I actually store my dies in a stamp pocket from Simon Says Stamp on a magnet sheet from Ellen Hutson! If they coordinate with a stamp set they get stored together. Everything doesn’t fit in the Stampin’ Galley! LOL! I wish that I had more time to get organized and sell my cards and stamp sets that I no longer want! There is just not enough time in a day for me! Never forget that you are pretty awesome yourself! Love and hugs to you too! XOXOXO 🙂

  6. Love this! The negative you is so cool, and I love the postage stamp look. tomorrow is hump day, I’m thrilled
