Oh, Hello Squared – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Hello again! In this post I get to tell you that I have the privilege of being one of the Guest Designer’s for Concord & 9th for the May Release! You all know that I love their innovative and fun products! It also doesn’t hurt that Angie, Greg and Amy are some of the nicest people that I have had the pleasure of doing business with! So, for next four Fridays I will be sharing products from the new release with you! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! This week we are showing you the new Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp!

To start my project I followed the instructions in THIS VIDEO to get my stamp ready. I then put it in to my MISTI along with a piece of Solar White 80lb. To ink it I used Lawn Fawn Merman, Fresh Lavender and Narwhal Ink for the first three turns. I made sure that it was ready for some heat embossing by using my Heat Tool to completely dry it. I placed the paper back into the MISTI and added my Versa-Mark. Next I sprinkled on Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set it. For the first card I trimmed a piece of the stamped background to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. I wrapped a piece of 48lb Vellum around the sides and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The hello is cut three times from more Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Say Hello Dies. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then heat embossed it with more White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder. The OH is from the Concord & 9th Say Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set and that is heat embossed onto a piece of Basic Gray. I used a little more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the hello and 3M Foam Tape to adhere the OH.

I had a strip of the background left over so I thought why not make a second card! For this one I stamped the hi there, also from the Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp, in Merman and Fresh Lavender onto another card base of Solar White 110lb down the right side. The leftover piece of the background is adhered to a piece of Coastal Cabana and then adhered down the left side of the card! Super simple and a nice quick fun card!

I LOVE that Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp! See what I mean by innovative fun products?! How cool is it that you can make your own background paper in any color that you want?! Fab Friday 112

A very happy Friday to you! I had another productive day yesterday. I did some cleaning, some laundry and played with Tristan and Daniel. We all had dinner together at my Parent’s. I came home for a bit and then went over to meet Heather and Stephanie at Brian & Kim’s for Thirsty Thursday. So good to see the peeps! This morning I’m going with Heather to drop off her car for inspection and then we are going to have some breakfast. A fun way to start the day!

This is one of two posts from me today! I’ll have another post shortly with a fun announcement!

It’s a Fab Friday this week and we have some colors to inspire you…

I got my May My Monthly Hero Kit the other day and these colors seemed to work perfectly with it! To start I used the Stencil in the Kit and some Blueprint Sketch and Seedless Preserves Distress Ink along with my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add color to a piece of Solar White 80ob. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The mermaid is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics, I cut her out with the Coordinating Die along with some coral and seaweed from a piece of Calypso Coral. The greeting is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto another piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. All of the die cuts are adhered to the circle and the circle is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Blue Lagoon and Amethyst Sequins and some Hero Arts Clear Gems finish the card! I do love that stenciled background, so easy and such a nice way to showcase the mermaid! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! We hope that you will visit the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by, don’t forget to come back in a little bit for my second post for today! I’m pretty excited about it! Enjoy your Friday morning! 🙂

OSAT May Blog Hop – Clean & Simple!

Happy Thursday to you all! I had another relatively productive day yesterday. I went to the Store in the morning and visited with Renee for a bit. After that I went to my Parent’s to see little Daniel and Tristan. They were over so that Erika could study for her Chemistry final. After that back to my house to work on some projects, some dinner with my Mum and Dad and then Taylor came by and we watched a few episodes of Blindspot, I’m happy to report that I’m all caught up! I have a bunch of projects to get finished and who know what else?!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the clever Lori Mueller’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Clean & Simple theme! I love a nice clean, simple card especially lately! And when you can use just one set and some ink even better!

All of the four cards use a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp all of my images and greetings in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Fresh Lavender, Peachy Keen, Minty Fresh, Sunflower, Juice Box, Carrot, Sugarplum, Jalapeño and Black Licorice. The greetings are stamped using my Mini MISTI and the rest of the images with blocks. That’s it! Some nice quick, clean, crisp and simple cards! I do love a stamp set from Concord & 9th, they are one of my favorite companies, they have fun and innovative products that make projects great!

Paper Craft Crew 243

Hi! What’s going on by you?! I had a very productive day yesterday. I got a bunch of emails sent out and puts some plans in motion. Sometimes it’s hard to put things in perspective, but eventually you are left with no choice. The rest of the day was fun, Jim came by and we went out a got a late lunch and managed to finish the crafty project that we have been working on! Feels good to have it done. Now we’ll start working on some new ones! Today I have to run over to the Store again and then I have a bunch of projects to get started! 😀

It’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I wanted a nice simple card and I haven’t used feathers in a very long time! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of Gold Mirror Card with the ends flagged to it and then got to work on my center panel. The images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Dream Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed them and two extras onto a piece of Arches 140lb Cold Press Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. They are colored in with my Gansai Tambi Watercolors. The panel is adhered to a piece of Sugarplum and then to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A strip of Peacock with the left end flagged is adhered along the top of the panel and the two extra feathers are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the right side of the Peacock Strip. I added three Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and a heavy coat of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the feathers to complete the card! I do love the feathers, especially in the teal and purple! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Florals!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of May! This time we ask you to create a a card with some florals on it!

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out the YOU from the card front. That lovely gold die cut at the top is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Concord & 9th Detailed Blossoms Die. The two flowers are from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Hero Arts Light to Dark Peach Ombre Ink. I cut the out with the Coordinating Dies. Next it used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some more of the Ombre Ink to a piece of Solar White 110lb and cut out the YOU and for from that. The YOU is then cut out from some more Gold Mirror Card. I closed the card and used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere all of the die cuts. I then stamped the Happy Birthday on the inside and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the front to finish the card. I LOVE That Detailed Blossoms Die, so intricate and delicate looking! Mojo Monday 496

Happy Monday! I had myself a little adventure yesterday! Heather and I drove up to Nashua New Hampshire to pick up her new car. We had a nice weather on the way there, it took a little longer to get things finished than we had hoped but in the end it all worked out. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for an early dinner, had a little rain in Connecticut on the way back but all in besides the fact that being in the car for 8 plus hours is a lot we had a good day! This morning I have a bunch of orders to get mailed out and I need to stop by the Store too. 😀

Today’s card is brought to you by this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

I turned the sketch on it’s side! To start my card I heat embossed the Hero Arts Thank You with Flourishes Wood Mount Stamp in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic. To my card base of Ivory 110lb I adhered two strips of Copper Metallic with the ends flagged and on top of that is a piece of Black. The panel with the Thank You is adhered with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. To give the card some shine I added some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Not a very complicated card but I love the mix of metallics and the nice bold Thank You! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card! Stop by the BLOG and see the inspiration that the rest of the Team has come up with and let’s see your card in the gallery! I thank you very much for starting your week off with me! Special Day Florals – W Plus 9

I thought that I was going to have a nice relaxing Saturday but then things got busy! I ended up taking a trip into Manhattan to see my friends Jim and Diane and then I ran down to The Ink Pad to see Anna. By the time I got back to Penn Station it was 7:00. I got a text from my friend Chantal telling me that she was at my friend Carol’s out in Babylon for her annual Kentucky Derby Party and would I stop by. I haven’t see Carol in over two years so I took a ride out there. It was so good to catch up! I got home around 10:00 and sat down to make a quick card for today’s post… an hour later and it was finished! LOL! So much for quick! This morning I’m headed up to Nashua New Hampshire with Heather to pick up her new car! Now there is a road trip! 😀

My “quick” card that I made really didn’t take that long to make, it was deciding what to use that took the time! I settled on one of my all time favorites from W Plus 9! This set has dies that are solid so I always cut out the paper with the Coordinating Dies first and then do my stamping. All of the floral images and greeting are from the W Plus 9 Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Peachy Keen, Lobster, Sunflower, Freshly Cut Grass, Noble Fir, Fresh Lavender, Sugarplum and Black Licorice. The greeting is stamped onto another strip of Solar White 80lb. They are arranged on the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then adhered with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. It’s a very simple looking card and that greeting would work for so many different occasions! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you for checking in and have a simple but fun Sunday! 🙂

Glamorous, Unique & Wonderful – Hero Arts

It’s the weekend peeps! I spent most of the day indoors yesterday organizing my house! It was a good day to do it, it rained for most of the day. Thankfully Sue came over to keep me on task. I tend to loose focus easily when I’m not supervised, well, at least when I’m doing chores at home. LOL! I also got in some more episodes of Blindspot, still really enjoying the show. Some more organizing this morning and then I will need to get out for a little bit! 😀

As promised I’m having a little sale at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Online Store today and tomorrow! It’s for Blog readers only! Head on over to the Website and use discount code JKBLOG51730 to save 25% on all orders! Saturday and Sunday only! All orders will ship out on Monday! 😀

I have a fun twist on a Mother’s Day card to share with your today! I stamped the images from the Hero Arts April My Monthly Hero Kit in Onyx Black onto some Bristol Smooth Card Stock. To color them in I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and an Aquash Brush. Of course I used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying a little, no patience! They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. On my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the hangers and greetings from the same set again in Onyx Black. After I adhered the images to the card with 3M Foam Tape I used my Signo Gold Gel Pen to add some dots to make a background and also added some to the waist of the purple dress. It needed a little more sparkle so I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen to give the dresses a heavy coating! It’s not a very complicated card and I do think it would make a fun one to give to Mum for her special day! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you so very much for visiting! Have a superb Saturday! 🙂

Hello Lovely Butterfly – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on May 9th! Today I’m sharing another single layer card!

For my card base I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my mask I stamped the butterfly from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal in and then stamped it again onto a Post-it Note. The one on the Post-it is cut out with my Scissors and placed over the one stamped onto the card. Next I stamped the floral cluster from the Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set Again in Narwhal along with the greeting. To color the images in I used Prismacolor Pencils. I went a little darker on the butterfly to make it stand out a bit more. It needed just a little something so I added some random dots with a Gold Sign Gel Pen. These really are two of my favorite sets from Concord & 9th and I love the way the butterfly turned out!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and that you will give masking a try! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on May 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂
