Good morning peeps and happy Thursday! One more day and we’ll be at Friday! When I went to Washington, DC a few weeks ago I mentioned that friends of mine let me use their gorgeous apartment in Georgetown. You really couldn’t ask to meet two nicer people than they are. I was so glad that they liked the thank you card that I sent then. It was actually one of the few times that I had a picture for inspiration. I was asked to see if the curtains in this photo would work in the apartment…
As it so happens they will look great! I took some of the colors from the picture and used them in the thank you card. I started with a base of Soft Suede. The top part of the background is River Rock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The bottom half is a piece of Well Worn Designer Series Paper (Retired List) that coincidentally has all of the colors in that I needed! I covered the seam with a piece of Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (Retired List). The images are from the Triple Treat Flower A la Carte Wood Mount Stamp (Retired List) and they are stamped in Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. I used the Fancy Flower Punch to punch them out and they are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede and mounted on a piece of Soft Suede Card Stock. I love the card and will miss the retiring products but can’t wait to see what is in store for us in the new catalog! Have a great day and thank for stopping by!

I totally LOVE this card! I will be making a few of these today for my stash!!! I send handmade Thank You cards to my husband’s clients when a job is finished (he designs and sells renewable energy systems–solar and small wind generators)! The Triple Treat Flower will stay in my stash:) Thanks, Justin, for great inspiration!!!
Thank you Kathy and your welcome! WOW, sounds like your hubby has a very interesting job! I think I may have to stuck up on Well Worn DSP, I’m going to miss it! 🙂
