Happy Friday to you all! I’m always happy on Friday! It is still bitterly cold here and windy. It’s supposed to rain and possibly snow a little over the weekend, mostly on Saturday. It sounds to me like that will make it a perfect crafty day! Who doesn’t like a rainy day to just sit inside and create?! What are you all up to this weekend?
Since it’s Friday that means it’s Create with Connie and Mary day! This week the talented ladies have given us a color challenge…
I was a little puzzled when I first saw it. I thought flowers possibly and then I thought that one of my favorite sets might work well with them. I started off with a base of Daffodil Delight Card Stock. For the main panel I masked off the middle with a piece of printer paper and stamped the images from the Fine Feathers Stamp Set in Melon Mambo and Basic Gray. I removed the mask and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the greeting from the Vintage Verses Stamp Set that is part of Sale-A-Bration in Basic Gray. Two thin strips of Melon Mambo are adhered with 2-Way Glue along the top and bottom of the middle of the panel. I adhered some Basic Gray behind it and then adhered it to the base. For a little finishing touch I stamped another feather in Daffodil Delight, cut it out with my Paper Snips and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really do love the Fine Feather Stamp Set and the colors work pretty well with it I think! I hope that you enjoyed my Create with Connie and Mary color challenge card for this week. Thank you so much for spending some time with me today and I hope that you have a fun Friday!
