Well now that was a hot and muggy Monday with some thunderstorms thrown in for good measure! It was very soupy here on Long Island today, I guess summer has finally arrived! I’m not complaining, it’s better than cold and rainy any day! My friend Danielle comes back from vacation tomorrow, it will be good to have her back. 🙂
Today’s post – Mojo Monday 299, a sketch by Julee Tilman…
I have to say that I really enjoy the Mojo sketches, they have great layers in them. My card starts with a base of Island Indigo Card Stock. I used a piece of the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper for the background. The flag is Gumball Green, it’s not in the DSP but It sure does look like it is. I punched a piece of Early Espresso out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and embossed it with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Before I adhered the panel to the card I adhered some Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the back. The main panel has a background stamped with the Off the Grid Stamp in Island Indigo. For the greeting I used the Label Something Stamp Set and punched them out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch. The circle greeting is from the Notable Notions Stamp Set and is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. Another piece of ribbon is adhered behind it. A fun and not overly complicated card. Thank you for taking a look at my Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card for this week. Have a great day! 🙂

A very intriguing card. I really did not appreciate the subtlety of all the layers until I saw the materials listed underneath, and I had to go back and check where the wood grain folder and “off the grid” stamp was.Outstanding card, very masculine.
Thank you Georgie! The layers are always fun, especially when they are subtle. Glad you like the card!
