Wee! It’s Friday! And yes, I have a few more pictures from Convention. I promise, they are almost finished! I was supposed to go see my brother in Pennsylvania tomorrow but I have been told that he is coming up here so I guess that would be a little pointless. Instead, I’ll go and see my friend Kim in Manhattan, that will be loads of fun! So I was lucky enough to meet the wonderful Sarah Douglas. She is such a nice person and she gave some really informative demonstrations. Here we are on the night of the 25th Anniversary party…
She had a really nice dress on too and her little dimple is so cute!
And here is the Fab Friday Design Team. It was so awesome to meet everyone in person. The only one missing was Amanda, but she was on vacation so it’s all good! What a great bunch of people!
From left to right: Amy O’Neill, Jan Tinklenberg, Me, Brenda Myers, Mindy Backes, Pam Steckman, Cindy Beach, Wendy Weixler, Jason Casper and Marla Reed. ๐
Now for today’s post. It’s Fab Friday! This week we have a sketch for you to play with…
Clean and simple, woo hoo! The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used a piece of So Saffron for the background and stamped the greeting from the Happy Day Stamp Set in Basic Black right on it. Up top I used the Tea Lace Paper Doily that I used for the mask on the card from Friday’s card. It was spritzed with Bermuda Bay Re-Inker from a Stampin’ Spritzer and I trimmed the top and side a little. In the middle is a piece of Bermuda Bay that I punched out with the ย 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and embossed with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The flower are from the Secret Garden Stamp Set and are stamped in Bermuda Bay on “Vintage” First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper. I cut them out with the Secret Garden Framelits Dies and adhered them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A teeny Subtles Designer Series Button is adhered with a Mini Glue Dot in the middle of each one. I love the color combo and the “Vintage” First Edition DSP is still one of my favorites. Thanks so much for stopping by to see my Fab Friday Design Team Card for this week’s sketch challenge. Stop by the blog to see what my other creative team mates have done with the sketch and enter yours in the gallery so you can be a Fab Fave! Have a wonderful Friday and I’ll see you back here later for this month’s Control Freaks Blog Tour!

Justin – I love how you’ve used this Retired DSP here. Before it was Retired, I enjoyed stamping directly on the DSP, too, rather than just using it in the background. Tough sketch (in my opinion), but you layered the colors at the top to properly balance with the bold sentiment at the bottom. Yay!
Thank you Brian! I was a little puzzled as to what to do at first but it all just sort of happened! I love that DSP! It’s good that I hoarded some! Glad you like the card! Have an Fab Friday! LOL! ๐
I love these pictures, a sneek peak into the life of a Celebrity such as yourself, Justin LOL!
LOL! Thanks Carolyn! It’s back to reality now! ๐
