Hello peeps! Yesterday was nice and warm again here on Long Island. It was sunny and not very windy. Today is supposed to be overcast so I soaked up as much sun as I could yesterday. I went to the gym again last night and I’m enjoying it, so far so good. I go with my friend Andrew and he actually made a card when we got back! You can see it at the end of the post. I will also be going with my friend Danielle to see his A Cappella group perform tonight. 🙂
Some Stampin’ Up! news for you today, they released another Photopolymer Stamp Set called Endless Wishes. It has a lot of Holiday greetings that you can use alone or combine together. There are also some nice hand drawn snowflakes too! You can see the flyer below or click here for a PDF.
Without further ado on to the post! Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch. This week we have a nice, simple sketch for you…
When I first saw the sketch I thought postage stamps, because of the squares, but then I thought no, let’s mix it up a little. The base of my card is Basic Black Card Stock and the background is a piece of Smoky Slate embossed with the “Vintage” Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Before I adhered the background to the card, I used a piece of “Vintage” Pumpkin Pie 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon and adhered it around the back. The image on the middle square is from the Halloween Hello Stamp Set and is stamped in Jet Black Staz-On Ink. All of the squares are backed with a piece of Pumpkin Pie and are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I found the sequins in Target, and you all know about my little obsession with sequins lately, they are adhered with Multi-Purpose Glue. The greeting is from the same set and is punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch and backed with a piece of Basic Black punched out with 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. I really like the Smoky Slate with the Pumpkin Pie, it makes for a nice change to the regular Halloween colors and we all know how I feel about the sequins! Thanks very much for stopping by to see my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch! Don’t forget to stop by the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with and enter one of your cards in the gallery. Have a great Wednesday! 🙂
